Tiffany's Tiny Adventure
Chapter 12 Dinner

It was nighttime and Tiffany and the ants had gone into the ant hill for dinner. Hova lead Tiffany to what appeared to be a dining chamber complete with little wooden round tables and rocks for chairs. The two of them were joined by Fugax and Kreela. Fugax went to get the food, while the others waited. Tiffany wondered what the food would be. She knew from the game she participated in that the ants ate human food they collected and most likely grain, berries, and any edible plants they found. Tiffany just hoped the ants didn't serve up any dead bugs to eat.
"Oh yeah we sure do love the honeydew!" Sang Fugax as he returned to the table with a bowl of round green slimy looking orbs.
Fugax set the bowl down and he, Kreela, and Hova each grabbed an orb and proceeded to slurp them up like jelly. Tiffany studied the orbs curiously.
"Tiffany you have to try this. It's so good." Said Hova as she handed Tiffany an orb.
Tiffany examined the orb gave it a sniff before she shrugged, slurped it up, and swallowed it. The honeydew had a slimy texture, but a nice taste.
"Pretty good! Taste like green apple bubblegum." Said Tiffany before she helped herself to a few more orbs.
Orb after orb Tiffany slurped them down, until there was none left in the bowl. The ants were impressed by Tiffany's appetite.
"Whoa! That went by quick. Want some more?" Said Fugax.
"Yes please! Keep it coming!" Said Tiffany as she pushed the bowl over to Fugax and wiped her mouth.
Fugax took the bowl and headed over to a nearby caterpillar and gave it a nod before heading to it's rear end and lowered the bowl. Tiffany watched in horror and disgust as the caterpillar proceeded to poop into the bowl! The honeydew was caterpillar poop and Tiffany had eaten some of it! Tiffany's face turned green, her stomach gurgled in pain, as she put a hand over her mouth and the other over belly. The ants looked at Tiffany in confusion and concern.
"Whoa! I didn't know humans could change colors." Said Fugax.
"Looks like someone ate too much honeydew." Said Kreela.
Hova saw that Tiffany was in distress and knew what to do. She quickly grabbed a tiny root and offered it to Tiffany.
"Here eat this. It'll make you feel better." Said Hova.
"What it is...it?" Asked Tiffany.
"This is a Alka root. Zoc discovered it's ability to heal and bring wellbeing." Said Hova.
"I doubt he cares about me. He hates me." Said Tiffany.
"Yeah he really hates your guts!" Said Fugax.
"Oh don't you worry about Zoc. He has anger issues towards humans, but he's a true ant. Hard on the outside, but soft on the inside. Just give him him some time Tiffany, he'll come around and see you as a friend." Said Hova as she placed the root in a drop of water.
The root dissolved into the water drop and Hova handed it to Tiffany. Tiffany slurped up the water drop and swallowed it. At first nothing happened then Tiffany's stomach let out a loud grumble and shook. Tiffany put her hands to her belly in confusion and concern. She could feel her stomach rumbling and then pressure started to build up and rise up to her throat. Tiffany first thought it was vomit coming up and put her hands over her mouth and tried to swallow it down, but the the pressure was too strong and Tiffany's hands were forced off her face and her tilted upwards and she unleashed a mighty belch.
"UUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRPPPPPPP!"
The belch traveled up the ant hill echoing all the way, until it exited the hill and went by the two sentries.
"Praise the Mother." Said the sentry.
Tiffany's face turned bright pink as she slapped both hands over her mouth.
"EXCUSE ME!" Said Tiffany in embarrassment.
"Now she's pink. Wonder what other colors she can change." Said Fugax.
The other ants seemed impressed by the belch.
"Praise the Mother." Said Kreela.
"Feeling better?" Asked Hova.
"Yeah thanks." Said Tiffany as she removed her hands from her mouth and her face returned to it's normal color.
Tiffany's belly let out a tiny rumble and she let out a tiny burp.
"Uurrpp!"
"Excuse me. So who exactly is this Mother you keep mentioning? Is it the Queen?" Said Tiffany.
"No Tiffany. The Mother was the one who founded the colony and laid the first eggs that became the first ants and they eventually lead to all this." Said Hova indicating everything around them.
"Whoa!" Said Hova in awe.
"Come on Tiffany, time to learn some history." Said Hova as she lead Tiffany, Fugax, and Kreela out of the chamber.
