Miles away from the Nickle residence, Stan sat in his office of his extermination business fuming at the cancellation of his extermination contract. Ever since he was young Stan had always gotten a sick joy in killing any bugs, when he was older he learned he could make a living off of that pleasure and started his own extermination business. As someone once said if you do what you love you'll never work a day in your life. Stan had taken this to heart and his business had done fairly well, but now this random cancellation was putting a damper on both Stan's mood and prohibit margins.

Stan sat in his chair and thought about what to do. He could go to the residence and clear the yard right now, but the granny would infer. Stan checked his schedule and saw that he had schedule the extermination of the Nickle residence for the next day and decided to head to the house in the early hours of the morning, where the residents of the house would most likely be sleeping and wouldn't infer. The job would be done and Stan would get the satisfaction of killing large amounts of bugs. Stan would worry about getting paid some other way. The exterminator sat back in his chair and laughed.

At the ant hill the sun was setting. The ants had had a really good day with the news that Tiffany had saved the colony from the dreaded Cloudbreather and that she had brought a large amount of food from her journey. Tiffany had also made a promise that once she returned to her home and normal size that she would drop off food every now and then as a peace offering to the ants. The ants were very pleased by this and many wanted to return Tiffany to her normal size so she could begin on her promise. Many of the ants liked Tiffany, except Zoc who still held hatred to the human.

The ants were heading back into the ant hill for the night and Tiffany had gotten separated from Hova, Kreela, and Fugax, but she was heading in the same direction as them, so she was certainly she would reunite with them. Zoc was standing by the entrance with his staff and saw Tiffany coming and blocked her way. There were no other ants around the area.

"Destroyer." Said Zoc.

"Hello Zoc...how are you doing?" Asked Tiffany as she gave a nervous smile.

"Not too good. I appear to be the only sane ant in the entire colony that still recognizes you as a threat and menace." Said Zoc.

"Hey I'm sorry about what I did in the past! I just saved the colony and brought your people food!" Said Tiffany getting annoyed.

"You just tricked Hova and the others into believing there was a threat and then you bribed them into liking you with food and promises of more food. I see through your lies Destroyer. You're going to destroy us first chance you get once you return to your original size." Said Zoc.

"I wouldn't do that! There are no lies! The Cloudbreather was coming, but I stopped him and I plan to keep my promises. Now if you excuse me, I'm going inside." Said Tiffany as she tried to get by Zoc.

"I have a little something I want to show you." Said Zoc as he indicated a bottle of blue potion hanging on his staff.

"The...potion?" Asked Tiffany.

"The potion that will return you to your normal size. Yes it is. I just wanted you to see it, because you are never going to get it and you're never going to return to your old life and size. In fact you aren't returning to this colony." Said Zoc as his staff glowed brightly with a menacing light making Tiffany back away.

"Where...am I supposed to go?" Asked Tiffany.

"Anywhere but here. I want you gone. Now get out of my sight!" Said Zo pointing the staff at Tiffany.

Tiffany quickly turned and ran away as fast as she could vanishing into the tall grass. Zoc smiled and headed into the colony where he met Hova, Kreela, and Fugax a few minutes later.

"Zoc, have you seen Tiffany?" Asked Hova.

"I took care of our human problem. The Destroyer is long gone." Said Zoc.

"What?! Where is she?! Did you scare Tiffany off?!" Said Hova looking both angry and alarmed.

"The human ran off into the grass. As to why I scared her off I did it to protect all of you from her tricks. The Destroyer saw your kindness and took advantage of it Hova. She planned out a fake rescue and brought back food to win us all over. Once she returned to her normal size the Destroyer would end us all. The Destroyer planned this whole thing out from the beginning." Said Zoc.

The three ants just stared at Zoc and then Hova began to yell at him.

"Are you crazy! Tiffany couldn't have possibly planned all this from the beginning, she had no idea she was going to get shrunken and kidnapped by us so she couldn't possibly come up with a plan to free herself and even if she knew about the plan to shrink her, why didn't she try to stop you? That makes no sense! Tiffany couldn't have communicated with her Grandma, while she was in the ant hill and she needed help to get back into her home to talk to her Grandma and call the Cloudbreather off. What you're accusing Tiffany of is crazy and you're just trying to make her the villain because you're blinded by your hated and refuse to admit you could ever possibly be wrong!"

Zoc was just stunned by Hova's angry outburst. Hova glared at Zoc and then she Kreela and Fugax walked past him towards the exit.

"Where are you going? You can't possibly thinking about going outside at night to look for that human, you know it's dangerous!" Said Zoc.

"I know that and I don't care! Tiffany is our friend and my responsibility, so I'm going to find her and bring her back here!" Declared Hova as she and her two companions left the ant hill.

To be continued.
