Tiffany's Tiny Adventure
Chapter 19 Talk

Tiffany, Hova, Zoc, Kreela, and Fugax traveled through the yard looking for a safe place to rest for the night. Zoc picked up his staff to provide a little protection to the others. It was too dangerous to travel at night to the ant hill, so the group decided to travel in the morning. After some looking they came across a tall mushroom that looked like a safe place to stay the night. The ants crawled up it and Hova carried Tiffany on her back. They reached the top and laid on it.
Tiffany took in her current situation and thought it was both a little funny and weird. Being tiny and sleeping on top of a mushroom felt like something you would read or see from Alice in Wonderland, though Tiffany doubted she would see any talking caterpillars smoking a hookah or that eating any part of the mushroom would make her grow or shrink.
Hova, Kreela, and Fugax had fallen asleep, while Tiffany and Zoc looked up at the stars in the night sky above.
"You know it's kind of funny. The stars don't look any different from a bug's size." Said Tiffany.
"I guess you're right." Said Zoc.
There were a few moments of silence before Zoc spoke again.
"So...Tiffany... I have to ask, why did you attack the colony in the first place? I just want to hear your side of things, so I can understand you better." Said Zoc.
"Well... I did it because I was mad and attacking the colony made me feel better." Said Tiffany looking a little ashamed at her past actions.
"Why were you mad?" Asked Zoc.
"There's these group of kids that have it out for me and their leader Ashley enjoys hurting and tormenting me. They're all much bigger then me and they enjoy bullying me because I'm smaller then them. After they hurt me, I got mad and I took my anger on something that was close to me and that was the ants and the ant hill." Said Tiffany.
"Why does this Ashley and her group hurt and bully you?" Asked Zoc.
"Because I'm different from them I guess. Ashley didn't like the music I listened to and decided I deserved to get bullied." Said Tiffany.
"That's absurd! Human's bullying and hating because of differences! That's chaotic! The colony is made out of many different ants and our differences bring us closer together and allow us to thrive." Said Zoc.
"Yeah it is chaotic, but thankfully most humans aren't like that." Said Tiffany.
"I think I'm learning more about humans now and I think I misjudged them, especially you Tiffany." Said Zoc.
"And I think I misjudged ants." Said Tiffany.
They were silent for a few moments before Tiffany spoke again.
"What I used to do the colony was wrong. I shouldn't have taken my anger out on you and the ants and I should have told my mom about the bullying. I promise you I'm going to change and I'm going to help the colony by bring food by once I'm back to my normal size." Said Tiffany.
"Well I accept your apology and I thank you for what you have done for the colony by stopping the Cloudbreather from coming. You can have the potion now to return yourself to normal size now if you want, though you might want to climb down and put some distance between yourself and us before you drink it." Said Zoc indicating the bottle of potion on his staff.
Tiffany eyed the bottle and shook her head.
"Thanks for that, but I think I'll wait till tomorrow before taking the potion and return to normal size. I need to say goodbye to Hova and the others and I think I need to get approval of the Council and the Queen first." Said Tiffany.
"Alright. I'm sure you'll get the approval of the Council and the Queen and I'll even put a good word in for you." Said Zoc.
"Thanks." Said Tiffany.
"You're welcome." Said Zoc.
"Goodnight." Said Tiffany.
"Goodnight." Said Zoc.
The two fell asleep and waited for morning to come.
