Tiffany's Tiny Adventure
Chapter 22 Return Home

It was a good day for the colony, with the defeat of the Cloudbreather there was a great sense of calm and happiness among the ants. Cheers and praises were sung for the ones who charged into battle and chased the Cloudbreather off, especially for Tiffany, Zoc, the glow worm, and the beetle. Tiffany found herself being carried by the ants as they cheered for her and took her into the ant hill and to the chamber where the trial had been held. The council was there with smiles on their faces as Tiffany was placed on the ground in the center and the butterfly wing curtains were drawn back to reveal the smiling Queen. The ants settled down before the Queen spoke.
"My children this is a glorious day. We have faced our greatest challenge the Cloudbreather! With your courage and bravery we have overcome this challenge and the colony can continue to prosper. Thales of this day will be etched into our history and passed down for many generations to come. Tales of the heroes who fought against the Cloudbreather, especially about our good friend and ally who fought alongside us." Said the Queen pointing at Tiffany.
"Thank you Queen." Said Tiffany with a tiny bow.
"Tiffany the human formally known as the Destroyer, you were once our enemy, then our prisoner, and now you are our friend and fellow ant of the colony. I give you the ant name Tifix. You are now free to return to your normal size and home." Said the Queen.
Tiffany felt a mix of excitement and joy go through her body as well as a tiny bit of sadness at the thought of leaving her ant friends. Zoc, Hova, Kreela, Fugax gathered around Tiffany to say their goodbyes and give Tiffany the bottle of potion that had the growth potion.
"Here you go. One growth potion. Be sure to take it outside. Don't want you hitting your head on the ceiling." Said Zoc handing Tiffany the bottle of potion.
"I will." Said Tiffany taking the bottle.
"We will never forget you." Said Hova.
"Cross your heart that you'll never forget me." Said Tiffany.
Hova smiled and proceeded to cross a section of her abdomen along with Zoc, Kreela, Fugax and all the other ants in the chamber. Tiffany laughed a little at the sight. It was both funny and very sweet.
After saying her goodbyes Tiffany exited the ant hill and began walking towards the house. Tiffany had considered just drinking the potion after getting a safe distance from the house, but she figured since her clothes wouldn't grow with her, she would be left completely naked in the yard for anyone to see including the neighbors, Ashley and the bullies, and Lucas. That would be super embarrassing and Tiffany didn't want to go through that, so she decided she wasn't going to take the potion until she was safely in her room.
The trek was long, but Tiffany didn't mind. Tiffany reached the house climbed up the steps with ease thanks to her ant climbing powers and made it into the house. She then walked to her room staying next to the walls and being on the lookout for Granny or Lucas, since she didn't want to be stepped on. Tiffany finally made it into her room and gave it a little look around. It was strange being back in the room. Everything was so different now due to Tiffany's small size.
Tiffany looked at the bottle of potion and down at her makeshift clothes. The clothes weren't super fancy or cute, but they held some sentimental value to Tiffany since they reminded her about her tiny adventure in the yard, so she didn't want to destroy them. Tiffany carefully removed the chest plate, then the silk chest covering, and finally the pants leaving her completely naked. She then carefully stacked the clothes together and backed away from them so they wouldn't be crushed by her growth.
"Well here goes nothing. Time to get big." Said Tiffany before she uncorked the bottle and downed it's contents in one gulp.
GULP!
Tiffany felt a tingling in her stomach that quickly spread through her body as the world around her began to change. Everything became smaller to Tiffany. The bed was no longer gigantic as Tiffany grew and then abruptly stopped. Tiffany blinked her eyes and looked around. She was normal size again! Tiffany felt a great deal of excitement as she did a little twirl. She then glanced down and located her tiny clothes and picked them up. It really shocked Tiffany and gave her a bit of a perspective of how tiny she had been. Tiffany placed the tiny clothes on the dresser and then she went over to the door and cracked it open a little.
"Grandma I'm back!" Called Tiffany into the hallway.
"Oh sweetie I'm so happy happy that you're back! Tell me everything!" Said Grandma as she appeared in the hallway and started to head towards Tiffany's room.
"Hold on Grandma, I'm not decent. Let me clean up and get dressed first and then I'll tell you everything." Called Tiffany before closing the door.
"Ok." Said Grandma.
Tiffany was fixing to head to her bathroom, when her stomach let out a loud hungry growl.
Gggggggggrrrrrrrrrrr!
The food that had been in Tiffany's stomach had not grown with her and the growth had made Tiffany hungry. Tiffany located some unopened snacks to hold her over and threw away the chips and the cotton candy her tiny body had come in contact with when the ants had first taken her. After the snack Tiffany headed into the bathroom for a nice hot shower with plenty of soap. The water felt nice and Tiffany got rid of the smell of dirt, frog stomach juice, and Stan's odder off her body. Tiffany stepped out of the shower, dried off, and put on some fresh clothes. The feeling of the clothes felt nice on Tiffany's body and she was happy to be back home.
Tiffany headed into her room and began to ponder if she still had her ant abilities. She went over to one of the walls and pressed her palms and feet against it and began to crawl upwards. Tiffany claimed up the wall and then hung from the ceiling for a few seconds before climbing right on down. She then headed over to her bed put both her hands beneath it and lifted it up over her head with absolute ease! Tiffany was back to her full size and she still had her ant powers and abilities!
"This is so cool! I'm like a real life superhero!" Thought Tiffany as she placed the bed back on the ground.
Tiffany was feeling both happy and confident with herself and she also felt like a changed person. She looked at her reflection in a wall mirror and she briefly saw herself with her crazy wild hair and ant clothes giving her a thumbs up, before her regular reflection returned. Tiffany headed out of the room to find food, find Grandma, and tell her about her tiny adventure with the ants.
