Mureeka.
Why hello everyone I is back from the four day weekend away from town! Man it felt like 3,000 years has passed since I came back with the four days taking forever to end lol. For some I'm sure it went by fast but for others I believe it took an eternity but nonetheless it was a great break and had a fun time with the folks! So yeah Mureeka's bday has come and gone so now it's back to meh work.
Aside from that here's the fourth chapter! Hope you enjoy! ^u^

Worth?
Station Square bustled with many people and pets going around the city on a bright sunny day. Some dressed in business clothing while others were casual, going about their day either to work or just roaming around. The city is known for its tall skyscrapers and trademark beach named Emerald Coast in which the large metropolis is one of few that is popular for tourism. Many from around the world come to visit Station Square and enjoy its sites, but what made it stick out more compared to other cities were the events that occurred.
A large water monster attacked Station Square some time ago and wreaked havoc upon its buildings laying everything to waste, mass flooding covering the entire area. The town's population luckily fled just in time before the danger arrived but were stricken that their homes were being destroyed. All would've been lost if it wasn't for a certain blue hedgehog who came just in time to stop its madness, transforming into a bright super version of himself to stop the monster. It was fierce fighting but in the end the threat was slain and all returned to normal with the water levels receding. The people returned as well and celebrated the cobalt hero's victory along with rebuilding the city.
It was a day many won't forget and for that certain blue hedgehog, he still stuck around.
"One chilidog please!"
The voice belonging to that hero spoke as he stood next to a hot dog vendor who gave a thumbs up. "You got it Sonic! One chaos-sized chilidog with everything on it coming right up!"
Sonic grinned in return as he awaited his most favorite snack. The Blue Blur was currently in the town's center enjoying the nice day, but within his mind he was contemplating several issues.
Like his recent break up with Amy.
'Man how am I gonna make things up with her? The way I told her off… I shouldn't have done that… it's not her fault.' Sonic lowered his eyes in sadness. The vendor took note of this while working on the food. "You doing alright son?" he asked.
"Oh uh yeah, just fine." Sonic replied.
The vendor sighed. "Sonic I've known you for some time and while I don't know you as well as your close friends, at least I can pick up on what's bothering you. So what's on your mind?"
Sonic looked down a bit. It's an issue if anything that was very personal and wouldn't share it with others he didn't know much about, but since he comes almost everyday to this chilidog stand and has been doing it for years the vendor knows him more than anybody else. Not as much as Tails or Knuckles for example but enough that Sonic told the vendor a few things about himself. Looking back up at the man he does show off a kind gesture, the vendor almost middle-aged with a thick brown beard and curly hair. Green eyes almost like his own shone a mix of generosity and concern knowing that the cobalt hero was struggling with something.
Just from knowing that Sonic decided to go with it.
"Well if you recall me talking about one of my best friends who became my girlfriend afterward?" he began.
The vendor raised his eyebrows. "Oh yeah that pink hedgehog who would always follow you around everywhere and declare her love to you and wanted to marry you and have ki-."
"Yeah that one hehe." Sonic interrupted with a blush. "So apparently we got into a fight lately and I told her a few things that I shouldn't have. I ended it after that and haven't spoken to her since." Sonic decided to leave out the major details and went with the short version of what happened, hoping it was enough.
The vendor eyed the blue hedgehog for a bit. He knew that Sonic left out information and went with a general explanation, but if anything he was okay with it. This wasn't the first time he talked to someone about relationship problems hehe.
With a smile the vendor nodded. "It's okay son. Stuff like this happens to couples and there's no perfect pair out there."
Sonic sighed. "I had a feeling. I thought we would've been ever since I returned her feelings, but I guess it's because we didn't know much about each other yet."
"Look at it this way Sonic." The vendor spoke while finishing up the Blue Blur's snack. "Even those that know love will not know everything about it, while those that are new to it will struggle finding out more about what it means. People were born to find happiness out there with affection being a small aspect of it and when potential partners come together." The man added the last bit of onion onto the chilidog with a grin. "They create a bond that will have both love and uncertainty."
The Blue Blur raised an eyebrow. "So pretty much we followed that uncertainty part right?"
"Yup but don't see it as a bad thing." The vendor handed Sonic his chilidog. "It's natural for uncertainty to happen as we don't know what the future holds. For two people together they must traverse this path and overcome any challenges if they want to stay together. The path forward is not an easy one and there will be obstacles along the way."
Sonic stared at his food slowly figuring it out. "So with me and Amy… we still need to find out our path forward and to do that-."
"You need to know each other more than you already know." The vendor finished with a smile. "And I have a feeling you had some sort of talk like this before right?"
Sonic grinned sheepishly rubbing his head. "Yeah and it was with an unlikely person…"
"That's good enough regardless. Now go out there and show Amy that you care about each other and are willing to learn past your differences!"
"Yeah!" Sonic took a bite out of his chilidog and smiled. "Thanks for the advice and thanks for the meal!"
"Anytime son. If you ever need someone to speak to, I'm always here." The vendor noticed several people coming towards their way. "And just time in time hehe. Alright I'll be working now so take care Sonic!"
Nodding in return Sonic gulped down his chilidog in one more bite and sped off with the vendor waving.
'Ah young love… I hope you're doing well up there my beloved.'

Amy Rose was sitting in a café sipping on a strawberry latte mixed with chocolate feeling down, the same way as her blue hero. The taste of the dessert made her feel a bit better but at the same time not, if anything the chocolate flavor being Sonic's favorite whenever they got dessert. She was thinking about him and how to approach the Blue Blur since their fight was pretty bad, the breakup still stinging her heart.
'Rouge's words were great to bring my spirits up but I'm not sure how Sonic will react if I meet him again. It's been days and I still feel like he's angry at me.' Amy scrolled through her phone on the internet trying to ease her mind. A bit earlier she talked with Tikal about how things were going between her and Knuckles, the latter stating that they'll be exploring some ruins the emerald guardian discovered. Tikal sounded excited with that and Amy couldn't help but laugh at how adorable she was, especially since she gave Knuckles hope and content that he wouldn't be the last of his kind anymore and that they can finally be truly happy. Their relationship was going very well and the pink hedgehog was joyful to see the two echidnas having a good time with each other.
Amy always thought that she and Sonic would be similar to them, but ironically that didn't turn out to be. If anything she and Tikal were different, the latter being sweet and patient while Amy was more outgoing and brash… but still sweet. Sonic and Knuckles were not much different to one another aside from their stubbornness and competitive nature, but in terms of Tikal and Knuckles they were able to understand each other fully. While she and Sonic weren't able to and they've known each other far longer. Amy had to lie about them still together as she didn't want the echidna princess to worry; Tikal had been through so much in her earlier life that she didn't want to impose a burden when she and Knuckles are happy together.
'Well I guess not everyone will have a fairy tale life.' Amy thought as she finished her dessert and turned off her phone giving a sigh. "Better not dwell on it too much Amy or you won't get anywhere."
BOOM!
The pink hedgehog fell out of her chair landing on the ground upon feeling a powerful explosion. It caught her off guard as she looked around disoriented, her blurry vision noticing many people in the café running out the building with faint screams entering her ears. The loud bang caused a ringing sound that muffled the noise of the chaos as she shook her head getting back up.
"W-Wha…" she started.
BOOM!
Almost losing her balance once again upon feeling another explosion nearby with its shockwaves resonating throughout the area. Broken glass and toppled chairs littered her path to the outside as Amy wasted no time and ran towards the exit. The shaking caused parts of the ceiling to start coming down with Amy narrowly avoiding debris that almost struck her, luckily making it out just in time with the sun hitting her pink fur. Looking around she noticed pedestrians screaming in terror running in the same direction away from something and turning her head in the opposite direction she gasped upon looking at the source.
"BWAHAHAHA! SOON THE EGGMAN EMPIRE WILL RISE AND ALL WILL BOW BEFORE ME!" the tyrannical voice of a certain evil genius boomed throughout the vicinity.
"Eggman! That no good lousy- and what the heck is that?!" Amy yelled in anger. The archenemy of Sonic was attacking the city within a large mech that resembled a bipedal dragon which was at least 15 feet tall, its color scheme a shining red with black highlights with his signature face logo on its broad shoulders. Two robotic wings with jet thrusters were present behind the mech that kept it afloat while several cannon looking weapons were mounted on its back shoulders. Its hands and feet held razor sharp claws with the head of the mech looking fierce as would an actual dragon with metal horns, but the most recognizable feature was the clear glass barrier on its chest which showed Dr. Eggman's head as the man grinned maniacally at the destruction he was causing. Not only that but he wasn't alone as several Badniks were causing mayhem as well around the area and firing lasers and missiles at several buildings causing them to crumble. "YOUR PRECIOUS SONIC WON'T SAVE YOU THIS TIME STATION SQUARE! I WILL RULE THE WORLD STARTING NOW!"
"Not if I have anything to say about it..." Amy whispered as she extended her arm and out of nowhere her signature Piko Piko hammer materialized, readying a battle stance. Looking at Eggman angrily she quickly dashed towards the mech and jumped upward to deliver an overhead smash.
Only for the evil genius to swiftly catch it with the mech's clawed hand surprising Amy. Dr. Eggman kept that same grin watching her. "Why hello Amy, that was some puny attack you just did. Allow me to show you my own." Suddenly a hidden compartment opened on the mech's forearm and a metal staff appeared out of it with the end of it instantly transforming into a mallet. "This is payback for ruining my ship!"
POW!
Amy gasped feeling intense pain form the blow dealt to her as she flew backwards ramming into a tree, toppling it down. The pink hedgehog groaned from the impact but nonetheless wasn't terrible as she raised herself up panting moderately. With her hammer still in her grasp and olive eyes looking determined to defeat her enemy, Amy gritted her teeth clutching her weapon tighter. "I won't let you hurt these innocent people Eggman!"
"Hah, like you would ever stop me! Now my Badniks, DESTROY THAT PESKY PINK RODENT!" Dr. Eggman commanded as the evil genius' creations obeyed the order and rushed towards the rose-colored girl.
Springing into action as well Amy rushed through the damaged field noticing several missiles fired at her. Having gone through years of adventures and experience with Sonic and their friends it made her well adept at combat as she easily dodged the incoming projectiles. Getting near the first Badnik she emitted a battle cry and swung her hammer down on it as it smashed into a million pieces. Quickly eyeing another one she jumped up avoiding more approaching missiles and delivered a spinning top smash upon it, the same damage dealt as with the first one.
Dr. Eggman watched with slight surprise at how Amy was making short work of his robots. He noted the elegant yet powerful moves she displayed as her personal weapon of choice though looked like it could weigh more than a ton was like a feather within her grasp, the red and yellow hammer pounding the mechs with metal and electrical components flying everywhere. Yet that same grin was still etched on his face.
As he was expecting this.
"HIYAH!" Amy let out decimating another robot with its mechanical body flying away and impacting a nearby car with great force. She lowered her mallet and glared at the robots surrounding her as she panting heavily. "Damnit… haven't made a… scratch." she breathed out.
"Hohoho! Of course you haven't my dear Amy Rose. As you can see I prepared all of this to lure in that blue rat, but that's not the main reason." Dr. Eggman explained.
"Then what's the main reason Egghead?!" Amy barked. However she gasped after upon feeling four Badniks grasp each of her limbs which surprised the pink hedgehog. "W-What?! How did they-?!"
"My creations have been upgraded to harness bits of chaos energy into their circuity, meaning that they can utilize the same powers as those pesky hedgehogs and that echidna such as Chaos Control!"
"N-No way!" Amy's eyes widened in terror. "S-Sonic will still stop you!"
Dr. Eggman's maniacial grin widened. "We'll see about that Ms. Rose, as back to what I was saying." The evil genius' draconic mech then materialized a sharp drill on one of its arms which began to spin rapidly. "The main reason is… to attack his heart!"
A burst of light thrusted out of the dragon robot's boosters with Dr. Eggman quickly closing the distance between him and Amy with the drill facing forward. "ONCE I GET RID OF YOU HIS WILL TO FIGHT WILL BE NO MORE!"
Amy's expression became terrified as she tried to wiggle out of the robots' hold but it was no use. She began to scream. "HEEEEEELP! SONIC!"
"HE WON'T BE FAST ENOUGH THIS TIME! YOUR TIME IN THIS WORLD SHALL END HERE!"
"AAAAAHHHHHHH!"

Amy's life flashed before her eyes.
All the memories she made from when she was born to her current state in time.
The friends she made and the enemies she faced.
Going from the weak and lovestruck girl to a more mature and stronger woman.
Many things struck her down in times of negativity but there were several other things that kept her going.
Her friends.
Her goals.
Her future.
And most importantly…
…
Her ears heard the sounds of dull explosions everywhere, feeling the steely surface of the mechs holding her disappear. The screams she emitted began knocking her out, her blurry and fading vision seeing a brilliant light smash through Eggman's robot.
Amy also felt the hard concrete floor beneath her in which the Badniks no longer held her with her body laying motionless on the ground. Olive eyes stared half-lidded with cloudy vision seeing debris falling down in smoldering flames. She couldn't utter out her voice, having lost the energy to do so.
Just as she began drifting into the black void of unconsciousness, her gaze made out two red blobs with white stripes approaching her.

End of Chapter 4
And that is the fourth chapter!
Man I was actually going to extend the third quarter to a full on battle scene but then this chapter would be the longest if anything. Not only that but it'll place the focus outside the main purpose of the overall work so if anything hopefully this made it work. For those that know how I write fighting scenes I tend to go into detail and if anything would take a major portion of the story lol.
Looks like Amy had a run-in with Dr. Eggman but by the looks of it, she was saved. Will the two make up in the end or will they forever be separate? How does the chilidog guy know romance advice?
Several stuffs to be answered regardless. Til next time! ouo/
