Herro!

I see you people still haven't left lol. So pretty much hawt weather is here and already I'm dying during my trail runs haha, but because of YEARS of experience it doesn't affect me much; it just feels warmer and I burn more calories. The road runs however are a breeze but still heavy with hot air and if anything it takes alot of willpower to slow it down a bit in order to not go all out as usual and get a very slight chance of heat exhaustion cuz that would be bad... and that means no stories or updates for the next week or so lol. Nonetheless it's all good, been doing it for years like I said haha!

Anyway here's the next chapter to this story! It's a bit shorter compared to the others but the last part to this will make sense on why, so hope you enjoy! ^u^

'I'M STILL NERVOUS ABOUT BEING TOGETHER! THIS IS MY FIRST RELATIONSHIP!'

'IT'S MINE TOO YOU MORON!'

'AND THEN THERE'S THAT: EVER SINCE WE GOT TOGETHER AFTERWARDS YOU STARTED TO INSULT ME FOR EVEN MAKING SOME DUMB DECISIONS THAT WEREN'T INTENTIONAL!'

'WELL IF YOU DIDN'T ACT SO UNCIVILIZED I WOULDN'T HAVE TO CALL YOU IDIOT!'

'I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE YOU'D STOOP THAT LOW AMY! LIKE, WHAT HAPPENED?! WHERE'S THE BUBBLY GIRL THAT I KNOW AND LOVE!'

'HAH YOU'RE LOOKING AT HER RIGHT NOW, EXCEPT SHE'S PISSED AT YOU!'

'Do you even know the real me?'

'Am I worth anything to you, being only some sort of hero trophy for you to show others?'

'T-That's not true Sonic! I-I really d-do love you!'

'That's enough promises. Like you said, I don't meet them to you… we're done.'

'SONIC WAIT! DON'T GO!'

'Fuck you, Amy Rose.'

"NOOOOOOOO!"

Amy woke up with a jolt, eyes wide to the brim with tears falling down her cheeks. Olive green hues looked around quickly taking in her surroundings as she breathed heavily from the dream she had. "W-Where *hic* am I-I?"

Looking down she noticed a soft white fluffy blanket covering her form in which she laid upon a bed. Shifting her focus to the room she was in Amy noted the simple layout of it with oakwood furniture, white walls and two windows with the sun's rays peeking through them. Turning her gaze more around the room the rose-colored girl noticed a desk filled with various notes and electrical parts as she gasped. "This is-!"

Knock knock.

Amy squeaked bringing the blanket closer to herself as her ears twitched upon someone tapping the door next to her from the other side. "C-Come in!"

The door handle turned and clicked as it opened and revealed a certain two-tailed yellow fox, their sapphire eyes watching her with concern. "You okay Amy?" he asked.

Amy sighed knowing who it was and looking down. "Y-Yeah, I'm doing well Tails. Thanks for asking."

Silence filled the air afterwards with the two not saying anything so the young genius simply cleared his throat and let himself in, the sound of a tray filled with waffles and orange juice being set next to the small desk nearby the bed. Tails went over to his work desk and pulled the chair over and placed it beside the bed as he sat next to Amy. The silence still dominated the room with the young fox watching the pink hedgehog with worry, noting the saddened expression.

"So um…" Tails began. "You gave us quite the scare there. You slept throughout the time we rescued you."

Amy's eyes widened meeting his stare in a flash. "I-I slept a whole night?!"

Tails gestured her to lower her voice. "Yeah. It's already morning and we brought you to my workshop to recover."

The rose-colored girl gasped upon the memory coming to her the day before, seeing a pair of red and white shoes approaching her before getting knocked out. "S-Sonic…"

"Dr. Eggman attacked the city with his Badniks, but Sonic defeated him before he got to lay waste to everything. He brought you here because he doesn't have the key to your house and because he was 'renovating' his home." Tails rolled his eyes at the last part. Amy broke her gaze from him and looked down in sadness. "I-I could see why he did that… Sonic isn't that good with first aid so it made sense that he bring me here to yo-."

"Amy." Tails interrupted her causing the pink hedgehog to look at him. His expression showed seriousness. "You don't have any major injuries or external bleeding so you didn't need first aid, just rest. Second, I made Sonic spill."

Amy gasped. "So he-?"

"Yes, he told me about your breakup." the two-tailed fox said, his expression the same. "I honestly knew it was going to happen at some point and if anything, I'm not surprised."

The pink hedgehog's ears lowered with her green hues watering about to cry. Tails prepared for this however raising another hand. "Calm down Amy. Not all good couples will have good outcomes."

Sniffing once Amy cleared her eyes of the incoming tears. "S-So how did you know Sonic was secretly hiding it?"

Tails grinned. "I've been his best friend for a long time and whenever Sonic lies he basically rubs the front part of his right foot on the ground left and right quickly. His facial expression might look normal but his feet tend to convey his true feelings."

The rose-colored girl laughed softly. "Wow, I didn't even know that about Sonic."

"Well when you've been with the world's fastest and most free-spirited hedgehog for almost your entire life through numerous adventures, you become very familiar with how he portrays himself apart from the usual saving of the world hehe." Tails explained.

Amy smiled for a moment before becoming depressed again as she sighed. "So you know more about him than me…"

Tails raised an eyebrow. "Well that is kind of surprising. I honestly thought you would know head to toe how Sonic is like given your fangirl-like tendencies."

The pink hedgehog flinched from the last part but brushed it off shaking her head. "I've only seen him from a distance back then so I didn't know much of him personally before we got together… and ever since we did get together I believed that I would have known him more than anyone else, but I guess love can only get you so far."

Raising a white-gloved hand to her shoulder Tails comforted Amy. "I may not be an expert when it comes to love and I'm still not sure how I'm doing well with Cream, but as long as you make each other happy then that's all there is to it I guess."

Amy brought the blanket closer and hugged her knees. "Thing is that it's because he said that I don't know the real him…"

"Huh, really?" Tails asked. "Well if that's the case then why not try to get to know more about him? I mean every time he comes over he blabbers on and on about you."

Olive green hues widened as Amy watched him in surprise. "He talks about me a lot?"

"Yeah, if anything I've never seen Sonic so into you. Heck when you two became an item he would always talk about his day with you and all the fun stuff you two do together. At times he would describe how great you are and the fun things you bring to him." the yellow fox explained.

"S-So he c-cared about m-me e-even if-."

"If you didn't know the real him?"

Amy nodded. "Yeah."

Tails lowered his hand from her shoulder and gave her a worried look. "Look, I've been Sonic's best friend for a long time and assumed that I would know that much about him, but with how he speaks highly of you I felt as if you knew him more than I did."

"Yet I screwed it up by all that mean stuff that I said to him… S-Sonic…" Amy's eyes moistened once again as she clutched the blanket harder. "S-Sonic…"

"It's not too late Amy." Tails assured. "You can still get back together with him seeing that he was committed to making you happy. Heck when he talks to you that's the happiest I've ever seen him and regardless of what you said to him, it didn't affect Sonic that much."

Sniffing the pink hedgehog felt a few tears escape. "S-Still… I s-said horrible *hic* t-things…"

Tails watched her get slightly emotional and simply sighed quietly. "You're strong Amy, the strongest I've seen. You wouldn't give up and I KNOW you wouldn't give up on him. You can still try."

"B-But he l-left me here…" Amy squeaked.

"Not really hehe." Tails grinned sheepishly. "Sonic's out in the backyard actually."

Amy gasped. "H-He's here?!"

"Yup, he hasn't left. Sonic looked angry when he came and said that he blamed himself for seeing you get hurt, so he's been waiting for you to recover to talk to you." Tails explained. "If anything he slept sitting next to you and held your hand throughout the night."

Her eyes widened considerably. Sonic still cared?

"I-I still have a chance?" Amy stuttered softly. Tails gave a simple smile. "You never lost it Amy. You may not know the real him much, but that doesn't mean he won't close the door on you. He still cares so much about you and wouldn't shut you off. You're his whole world."

Amy's expression morphed into a happy one ready to burst into tears. "I-I-!"

RUMBLE!

The pink hedgehog squeaked again hearing her stomach rumble loudly as she blushed. Tails laughed heartily. "And that's why I brought you breakfast." Standing up after that he began leaving for the door, but not before leaning back from the entrance. "Don't keep him waiting too long hehe." The young fox closed the door afterwards.

Amy ate like a hyena not wasting any time.

…

"GRAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

SMASH!

Chunks of wood flew in the air as a large tree fell onto the ground landing with a hard thud. Panting can be heard nearby which belonged to the Blue Blur, hands on his knees and panting heavily.

"It's all… my fault…" Sonic said to himself, looking up at the tree he punched. If anything he has gotten a lot stronger in terms of raw strength and had the ability to pick up large objects such as cars and break through stone. It made it more convenient that he can now rely on other things about himself rather than his speed alone.

'Heh… I see why Knuckles wanted me to lift weights.' He thought raising his upper body back up in a straight posture. Looking down at his glove-covered fist that had patches of dirt on it he unclenched it, feeling his knuckles crack due to the impact. At the end he gave a sigh. "Even then, it's still not enough. Not enough to impress her."

Sonic turned around and focused his gaze at the small workshop in the distance that belonged to his two-tailed friend. "I couldn't bring her back to hers or my place… it'd only make things worse."

'Amy would be feeling the same way you are right now hedgehog. With how lovey dovey she is to you I'm pretty sure you still have another chance. This time however, don't run away… be there for her, and ACTUALLY be there for her.'

"Yeah yeah Shadow I know. I just don't know how to approach her." Sonic spoke remembering the black hedgehog's words. "Amy can still be mad at me and even if I tried it wouldn't change her mind. Hehe she can be quite stubborn."

His own words made his ears fall flat, the Blue Blur taking a depressed look. "It sucks to be half right and half wrong…" Sonic shook his head after, changing his expression to a determined one. "But I know I'll make things right!"

Sonic proceeded to run his way back towards Tails' workshop getting there in half a second.

Only to have second doubts as he eyed the doorknob.

'What if Amy's awake? What if Tails is still mad at me for keeping our breakup a secret? What if Tails told Cream or the others? What if… Amy left?' Several questions ran through the blue hedgehog's mind with each making him more worried. Nonetheless he shook his head again and grabbed the doorknob opening the door.

"Eep!"

Seeing the one and only Amy Rose right in front of him.

Emerald eyes watching olive eyes.

The air became tense with silence.

...

'Fuck.'

And there you have it! They have encountered one another once again!

But what will happen? Will they get back together or will they remain hostile to one another? Will Shadow and Rouge's advice work? Will Tails' advice work?
