Tori looks at me weirdly. She stands up. My heart jumps so fast because I am suspecting something. Did I do so poorly so she doesn't know how to tell me the result?

"Please excuse me for a second." Tori sighs .

She leaves the room. I curl myself into a ball. I cry very hard because I am afraid that I may not belong to any factions and i will then be factionless. Then the door opens , Tori comes back in.

She sits down beside me.

"I am sorry to get you worry." Tori shakes her head." However Delia, your result is inconclusive."

"Why?" I am shocked

Tori is silent for a minute. Maybe I am not a horrible person .

"At normal rate, people will only get one result by ruling out the rest. However in your case, the multiple results are selected. " tori looks at the door behind me." You have the equal result for abnegation, erudite , dauntless, Candor and amity."

"What that mean? How can I have five results?"I frown

"It is possible but extremely rare." Tori drags me up and walks toward the door ." Those kind of people who we called"divergent." However it is really dangerous Delia, you can't share it with anyone ."

I don't understand that how can a test result be dangerous?

"We can't share them anyway." I shrug

"No I mean that never share anyway and anytime with anybody even your family ." Tori pushes me out of the door." I suggest that you go home now. Staying here will not do anything good for you"

I want to say something but tori already closes the door .

"Delia? Are you okay?" Abby pats me on my back.

"I am fine. Why are you out here by the door ." I am wandering

"I believe we are here for the same reason." Abby wraps me in her arms

I know that Abby is divergent. However staying in erudite will do nothing good for her

"My examiner told me to leave erudite and seek protection from dauntless." Abby lowers her head." I am not sure though."

"Let's go, don't talk about it here." I look around ." There maybe some ears behind the wall."

I and Abby leave the school . We are all confused by it. We can talk to our parent but should we? Can we trust anyone with this result?

"Can't we even talk to our parent?" Abby looks at me

"I don't think that we should." I shake my head

"However if we can't trust our parent, then who should we trust?"abby is crying

I don't know . Who should we trust or who can we trust

"We have to trust ourself Abby. There are no one that we can trust." I hold her hand

We walk toward our house because I don't want my parent to find out that I am at home earlier . Then we come to the factionless sector.

It is where factionless men and women live and my mother often helping them with foods and resources. Suddenly a hand grabs my wrist. I look back . It is a man with grey teeth and he has dirt all over his body.

"Do you have something that I can eat?" The man smiles at me with his yellow teeth

"Well, I have it." I take out one bag of dry apple slices

That is the reason why dad always asks us to keep food with us .

"You look so pretty but you are so plain." The man smirks at us" it is dangerous for you two girls to walk alone ."

"We are not little girls. We are 16." I scream at him

"Oh ? So tomorrow is the biggest day for you guys right?" Man grabs my wrist harder." Then choose wisely."

I push him away and the apple slices fall on the ground. I and Abby start to run. I hate here so much and I want to leave. The sense of leaving is stronger and stronger .

"Are you alright?" Abby breaths so heavily." You have good physical strength Delia."

Abby giggles and I start laughing too. I like running but in abnegation , I can never run because that is considered as self enjoyment.

"You may love dauntless." Abby gives me a thumb up.

We arrive at our house. Sisters and brother are all at the front door

"Welcome back sister! How is the test." Beatrice hugs me

"It's good. " I kiss her forehead." I have a general idea."

"Hello Abby. Are you staying here for dinner?" Mom pours two cups of tea for us

Abby nods at my mom. We are good friends already.

"You can stay with Delia and beatrice at the front door and I will clean the house first."mom smiles

"Do you need help mom." I stand up ." I can help you if you want."

"No thank Delia. You should stay with our guest and think about what you may want to choose." Mom let me sits down

I sit down beside Abby. Dad is working now . Mom is cleaning the house inside and outside .

"Your mom is for sure so pretty" Abby nods at me.

"Yeah she is very beautiful though." I agree with her

I rest on Abby's shoulder. Then dad comes back.

"What hell is that?" Dad is angry

"What is wrong dad?" Caleb stands up.

"They ask Alan Davis to be one of the leader ?" Dad smirks." He is so young and stupid."

Alan Davis , that lieutenant who Abby was talking about.

"How do you know that he is stupid?" I can't control myself

"Dauntless is all stupid. They only know how to be aggressive and brutal." Dad clinches his teeth.

"You can't say that." Mom comes out and arguing with dad

Dad laughs coldly. It is first time that mom fights with dad

"It's all because his dad was your ex boyfriend right?" Dad screams

"Oh not because of that Andrew. Can you please stop talking about this in front of our kids." Mom's face goes so pale.

"You are nervous because that is your darkest history so far." Dad gets into the house

My mom who was the girlfriend for Alan Davis's dad!

"I never know that before ." I am so surprised

After a few hour, it is time for dinner. However because the inside is too small, we decide to eat at the porch.

"I love chicken breast." Abby pokes a piece of chicken on the folk and bites it." So delicious."

"You love plain food?" Dad drinks his water." I think that erudite always eat luxury foods."

"No we don't. It depending on the family though" Abby shrugs" well, I don't eat plain food and luxury foods every single day so it is good for me to exchange ."

After dinner , I and Abby sit in my room. She lays on my bed

"Can I stay at your house for tonight?" Abby holds my hand

"Yes , what's wrong with your house? Is Eric distracting you?" I lay with her

"Yeah he comes and sees me every day but we broke up." Abby shakes her head." I will never ever forgive him for throwing the glass cup at me ."

I understand how sad Abby is . I hate Eric since the first time I met him. Now I realize that I hate him for the reason being.

The second day comes very fast and it is the day which I and Abby will choose. I and Abby dress up nicely and ready to go to our next stage of life

"Are you ready?" Mom ask me and Abby.

"Yeah we are ready." I and Abby say very confidently

"No matter what you guys choose . I believe that me and Abby's parent will be very proud." Mom pats on my back

We arrive at the ceremony on time. Everyone are there except us. The soldier I met yesterday wasn't here . I staring at the dauntless section

"What are you looking at." Abby nudges me

"I was looking for the soldier who save me yesterday." I am so shy.

"Oh you like him?" Abby wraps her arm around me

Jason walks toward us . Jason grabs my arm

"Delia , we need to talk." Jason is very hurried

"No I don't want to talk to you." I scream at him

"Let my daughter go." Dad pushes him away.

I relief a little. Abby drags me to the last row of the seat

"Are you really in love ?" Abby is shocked.

"No , I am not. I just want to thank him." I lower my head.

"It's not that simple Delia. Don't lie to me ."abby grabs my shoulder

A Candor boy laughs . Abby turns around and looks at him.

"You are not Candor ." The boy smirks

"However erudite also can detect lie too you jerk." Abby shouts

Now someone is on the stage . Jason is going to host the ceremony.

"So I believe faction system is a living being. You guys are the cells which built this . I believe our bright future is belonging to those people who know where do they belong" Jason claps his hand." Let's the ceremony begin."

He opens the booklet and starts to call the name

"Delia prior ."

I walk onto the stage . He grabs my arm and gives me the knife .

"You know that I have feeling for you."

Then he let me go, I walk to the centre of the stage. I cut my palm opens . I look from left to right. Am I selfless? Am I brave? I hold my hand above the dauntless bowl and my blood drops.

"Dauntless."

Jason is unhappy about my choice. Abby looks at me very calmly.

"Welcome to dauntless."

Every dauntless members are cheering for me . One of the boy grabs my arms

"Welcome ." The boy smiles." My name is Zeke ."

He let me to sit down on his seat and turns around to get to the back row.

"Hey ." A girl waves at me." I am Marlene."

"Delia." I smile

Then Jason calls Abby. Abby walks on the stage and she rolls her eyes at Jason. Abby then also chooses dauntless

"Dauntless."

Abby runs toward me and sits down beside me as well.

"Good job" I give her a high five ." How is your palm?"
