After Amar injects me with the needle， I passed out very quickly. When I wake up， I find out that I am still in the same room. However everything disappear， then the door opens. Jason comes into the room， why is he even here?

Am I afraid of Jason just because he loves me ? I don't think so that love will make me scared.

"I miss you Delia. Why you leave me alone?" Jason comes toward me near and near

He then sits down beside me and leans into me and kisses my lips . I want to push him away but I can't move my body until a gun shot rings my ears

I see that Jason falls on the ground and he is dead. His eyes are wide Open. He doesn't die peacefully.

"No!" I scream

I see three men who are wearing mask standing right in front of me. They still have the guns in their hand. I get off the chair and kneel in front of Jason. I don't like him but at least that he is my friend .

"Jason." I cry

However I remember what Amar told me that I have to calm myself down. I rest on Jason's chest and try to breath normally. I inhale and exhale slowly until the simulation passed

I am above the chasm. It is pretty dark around me but I still can see who are in front of me . Those three men are standing in front of me

"We killed him." One of the man says

"What did you say?" I raise my eye brows

"We did a flavour for you that we killed him." The man repeats.

It is not what I want. Yes I don't like him but doesn't mean that I hate him. I stand up slowly and throw myself at them.

I punch one person in the gut and kick another one at the same place

Two of them dead and the third one tries to run away.

"I am sorry!" He screams

I chase after him and kick him on the ground .

"I am really sorry. I don't mean to do that." The man is begging

"There is a reason why I transfer to dauntless." I smirk at him

I then take out his gun and then aiming at his forehead. I pull the trigger and he is gone.

I wake up screaming until I see this man who saved me from Jason.

"Hey it's you."I calm down

"It's okay. You will not need to do this for a long time" man smiles at me

He holds me up and helps me out of the room. Abby is standing outside with Amar watching the simulation .

"Alan! Why are you with Delia ?" Amar frowns

"Alan ?" I am shocked." You are Alan Davis ? You are not the soldier!"

"So?" Alan smirks at me." I will bring her to rest. She is so scared already. I will be back with her for dinner ."

Alan brings me into his office. He puts me on the table.

"You really thought that I was only a soldier?" Alan frowns

"I never meet you before and you don't want to tell me your name ." I kind of disappointed." Who knows that you are Alan Davis ."

"You never meet me before ?" Alan sits down beside me .

I look at him curiously . I don't know what he means

"I don't think so . We are so many years apart." I lower my head.

"Guess how old I am." Alan drinks the water

"Almost 40?" I look at him seriously.

Alan nearly choked on the water . I help him to calm down

"I am 24. I am the youngest lieutenant of dauntless." Alan smirks at me

"How is that possible." I open my eyes wide

"It's possible Delia. The age doesn't matter here." Alan brushes my hair

I guess that he is right. The age isn't important here

"However what is important then." I blink my eyes at him

"Guess ." Alan laughs

I am quiet. Alan looks at his watch . He stands up

"It's time for dinner Delia." Alan nods at me" I will go with you."

I follow him out of the room. I want to ask him a question

"Can we meet out here after dinner? I want to ask you something." I flinch

"Okay sure Delia." Alan says

We enter the cafeteria . All members stop eating and looking at me

"Go with your friends." Alan pats me on my back.

I go sit down beside Elizabeth. She is smiling at me

"Hey Delia， are you okay? You look so pale ." Elizabeth is worried about me .

"I am fine . Where is Abby?" I look around

"She is with Amar . I don't know where are them." Jessica hissed." With his protection ， his place is secured."

I know that they are already jealous of Abby . If they know that I am friend with Alan， will they kill me?

"They are just friends Jessica . Abby and Amar never meet before." I try to explain.

"They did actually. Amar was also transferred from erudite ." Eric looks at me for a long time.

Abby comes in after a minute. She sits down next to me

"Flirting with your boyfriend?" Shauna smirks

"I am not." Abby is blushing.

"You are all red." Four tilts his head

He looks familiar but I can't remember where I did see him before

"It is because I am hot." Abby touches her face

I don't want them to attack Abby anymore. When I am about to dame something， Alan taps his fingers on the table.

"Shut up ." Alan Davis looks at us coldly.

Then we hear people's cup hitting on the table . We hear footstep from above us .

"Initiates， stand up." It is max

We all stand up and look at him， max is holding the railing and surrounded by many other people.

"Who are they?" I ask Alan

"They are all different occupations people. I will explain the job tomorrow when we start the training." Alan looks at me

"You have chosen a warrior faction. Your duty is to protect the citizens of the city. We believe in the ordinary act of bravery ， in the courage to stand up for those people who can't stand up for themselves. Respect that and do us the proud." Max finishes his speech and leaves

Everyone start to cheer and I sneak out of the room.

"Where are you going?" Alan follows me .

"I am here for a walk." I shrug." Are you here to see me ?"

"Yeah I am here." Alan leans against the rock wall

I walk toward him and stand beside him. He looks so cold but I feel warm beside him.

"Why you did not want to tell me who you are?" I ask

"That is going to put you in a dangerous position. The more you are closer with a leader or lieutenant of dauntless， people will more likely to kill you." Alan rests his head on his hand.

"Why they are doing that?" I still don't understand

Alan looks at me. My tears are dripping from my face

"Jealousy can make people lose their consciousness." He stands in front of me blocking my eye sight." Don't cry okay? People will think that you are a coward."

"Why you are helping me Alan? I am a stiff." I sob

"You are not a stiff for me . I will tell you the reason one day." Alan kisses my forehead

I look at him shockingly and then he leaves .

"Delia?" Abby calls my name." What hell are you doing with Alan?"

"We are just talking." I wake up from my staring.

"What are you guys talking about that he kissed your forehead." Abby is unhappy

How can I explain it to her? Is she worried about me or jealous.

"I don't know what do you mean." I shake my head

"Ignore her Delia, let us go play." Marlene wraps her arm around me ." Do you like rock climbing ?"

"Yeah I love rock climbing." I nod at her

Marlene leads me away from Abby. She is my best friend

"Delia Abby is just an asshole. Her mother was pretty slutty and she is doing the same " Marlene shrugs.

"What are you saying about Abby?" Amar comes toward us

"I am talking about the truth. She is a slut." Marlene smirks at Amar.

Amar is angry now and I stand in front of Marlene . Amar takes his hand and wants to slap me but Alan stops him

"You lie hand on her then you are going to be out of faction." Alan pushes Amar away.

"Alan why are you protecting her? She is insulting Abby." Amar screams

"I know why you are protecting Abby" Alan laughs coldly." I have my reason too."

Amar leaves and Alan turns around . He is always here on time

"Delia , you have to be careful. Don't anger Amar and I will make sure that you stay." Alan brushes my hair .

"Thanks Alan but I don't mean it." I lower my head

"I know that you and Abby are good friends. However before you become member, don't be too closer with her." Alan says

I don't know why is he saying that but I nod at him

"Thanks Alan."

"Marlene watches your mouth too. Go back to dorm now ." Alan waves at us

I turn around and go back to the dorm. Abby is on the bed

"Delia are you really believing what they said about me ?" Abby looks sad

"No of course not but Abby you misunderstand me and Alan." I sit down beside her

"I don't think that I misunderstand that. That day you said a dauntless soldier saved you actually I saw him. I knew that why he didn't tell you his name is that he was protecting you. He said that with you today too ." Abby says

I am silent . I can't lie to her because she heard about it.

"Abby but we are just friend."I hold her hand

"I don't believe that he treated you just as friends." Abby clinches her teeth." Leave him alone okay. I like him."

"Abby!" I scream.

Abby does like Alan. I just can't understand that
