Lost in another World
Chapter 8 - Strength in Unity
Train Station
Natsu and Gray were firing all of their magic towards the wall of wind but to no avail as the power overwhelmed them. Natsu continuously kept rushing towards the wind but in the end, he suffered too much damage and collapsed.
"DAMN IT! We need to get out of here!" yelled Natsu with frustration. He slowly tried to get up as Lucy went over to him and helped him get back on his feet.
"Wasting our magic here clearly won't help, Natsu! Stop thinking with your fists and actually use your brain for once!" retorted Gray as he too felt frustrated about not being able to escape.
"I… have to… TRY!" yelled Natsu as he ran towards the wind again but just in time, Erza stood in front of Natsu and grabbed his shoulder to stop him.
"Erza!" said the group as they finally found her after separating to find Erigor. However, her condition wasn't the best as she had exerted too much magic and could barely walk.
"Oh my gosh! Are you okay?!" asked Lucy as she helped Erza.
"Yes, I'm fine. Just… a little weak." Replied Erza as she managed to sit down. She looked around and noticed a motionless Kageyama, bandaged and barely breathing.
"What is HE doing here?!" asked Erza with confusion as she realised that their enemy was with them as well. Lucy, Natsu and Gray went over to Erza to help her sit against the pillar.
"After I defeated him, a member of his OWN guild… tried to kill him. Since he knew a way out of the Wind wall." Explained Natsu frustratingly as he punched the wall. Even though Kageyama was his enemy, the fact that his own allies would kill their own annoyed him to no end.
"Disgusting… to treat one of their own like this." Added Erza as she clenched her fist.
"Tell me about it. But what are we going to do? By the way, where's Zoro?" asked Lucy as she looked around for him.
"Unlike me, Zoro managed to escape in time. So, I sent him on a mission to take down Erigor while we were trapped." Explained Erza in a calm manner.
"Oh, I see… WAIT, YOU WHAT?!" yelled Natsu. Even Gray and Happy turned white in despair as they realised what Erza did while Lucy was noticing the despair around her.
"I had no choice!" answered Erza but even she felt a little sense of hopelessness.
"Uh… is there a problem with that?" asked Lucy in confusion since she never knew the truth about Zoro. Erza, Natsu and Gray were silently sat next to each other in a circle while Happy slowly walked to Lucy and patted her leg to get her attention.
"Lucy… let me ask you this, how much do you know about Zoro?" asked Happy in his cheerful manner.
"Of course, I know a lot about him! He's a great swordsman! He's one of the top members of the Fairy Tail guild! He doesn't use magic but has a power which helps him cut magic and defeat creatures with ease! Not to mention, he's a total hottie with a smockin hot bod…" said Lucy as she didn't stop talking about Zoro. Natsu, Gray, Happy and Erza all watched as Lucy was really worshipping Zoro and his abilities, it helped them realise.
"She's a fan." thought the group as they watched Lucy continue to praise Zoro even though that wasn't the reaction they were hoping for. Erza looked away as she tried to prevent anyone from noticing her annoyed expression. But before Lucy could continue, Happy closed her mouth.
"Okay! Okay! We get it! But that wasn't the point!" said Happy.
"It wasn't?" asked Lucy.
"Lucy, you may not know this but for all the talent that Zoro has, he has one major weakness that no medicine, no magic or even a miracle could ever fix!" exclaimed Happy which surprised Lucy.
"What? He has such a weakness? It's true he doesn't have magic but what could possibly make him weak? What could it be?!" thought Lucy as she was genuinely wondering what his weakness could be.
"Zoro's weakness… is directions…" answered Happy as he face palmed himself.
"Directions?" Asked Lucy as she tilted her head in confusion.
"Seriously! I've never met ANYONE with such HORRIBLE sense of direction!" exclaimed Natsu as he sunk his head in depression.
"He manages to get lost even in a single line!" added Gray in an embarrassed manner.
"One time I asked him to get me a juice from the kitchen… he ended up outside of the city." mentioned Erza as she delivered the final nail in the coffin regarding Zoro's navigational abilities.
Upon hearing all of these stories, Lucy was astonished at what she was hearing. One of strongest people in the world had the dumbest weakness ever, a terrible sense of direction.
"Are you guys serious?! Will he be okay!?" asked Lucy with concern.
"I won't deny it… it does seem hopeless… oh, who am I kidding?! WE'RE DOOMED!" said Gray as he slouched on the ground in a panic with Natsu next to him banging his head on ground.
"Damn it! We won't be able to save Makarov like this!" yelled Natsu as he punched the wall in frustration.
"Come on you guys! I know the situation looks grim but we need to believe in Zoro." Said Erza as she tried to calm the two down.
"What should we do? How are we gonna get out?" asked Lucy in a panic. Happy was just sat down until he realised, he had something his bag, a golden key.
"Oh yeah! Hey Lucy!" said Happy as he tried to get Lucy's attention.
Meanwhile at the train tracks
Erigor was following the train tracks to head towards the next town in hopes of using the lullaby to kill the guild masters. Using his wind magic, he was soaring through the sky with his scythe in his left hand and the lullaby in his right.
"Just a little bit further and I'll have my revenge!" said Erigor while flying.
After all this time, Erigor was finally about to have his revenge on the guild masters for abandoning him and casting him away from the world. He believed that his actions were the only solution for peace, but little did he know that he was causing more destruction than peace with his method. However, as he kept flying, he felt a change in the wind and quickly turned around in a panic.
"Huh, what was that!?" Erigor stopped flying and started looking around. He felt danger was approaching him, but he couldn't find the source.
"Where is this immense pressure coming from? It couldn't have been those Fairy Tail flies, I had a good lead on them!" He placed the lullaby in his pocket and got himself ready for battle with his scythe. He descended to the train tracks and started scanning around.
"WHERE ARE YOU?!" yelled Erigor in frustration but he turned around and saw the footsteps approaching him from behind.
"Seriously, where the hell is this guy?" said Zoro as he appeared from the other end of the train tracks behind Erigor. He slowly turned around realising that Zoro was ahead of him the entire time… lost.
"WHERE THE HELL DID HE COME FROM?! I could've sworn I was miles away of him!" thought Erigor in a panic. Zoro carried on walking and finally realised that Erigor was in front of him.
"Oh, there you are. What? Did you get lost?" asked Zoro in a mocking manner causing Erigor tilt his head in confusion, not being able to believe what he just said.
"You bastard! How the heck did you get ahead of me?! I had a head start and with my magic, there's no way you could've kept up!" exclaimed Erigor as he took out his scythe and got into a battle stance.
Zoro just shrugged and responded, "I ran." Causing Erigor to lose his cool and grip his scythe with intensity and bloodlust.
"Trying to mock me?! You bastard!" Erigor flew towards Zoro with his scythe but he quickly saw Zoro unsheathe Shushui and launch an air slash heading towards him.
"W-what is that?!" questioned Erigor as he attempted to dodge but it was too late, the slash scraped past his arm and he fell to the side. After falling on the ground, Erigor turned his attention to Zoro who was slowly approaching him.
"Tch, you Fairy Tail wizards are like cockroaches that just won't die!" said Erigor as he stood up and brushed off the pebbles and dusts on his clothes. He used his scarf to seal his wound and stop the bleeding.
"How many times do I have to tell you?" said Zoro as he began walking closer to Erigor and sheathed his Shushui. Zoro wasn't worried in the slightest, if anything he was feeling excited to find a strong opponent.
"I'm a Swordsman." Stated Zoro as he smiled and wore his bandana.
"Fine. I'll admit, I'm impressed swordsman. You managed to defeat my guild members and catch up to me on foot. It's even more impressive since I heard that you don't even use any magic. Guess the rumours about you were true. That you are a "Legendary Swordsman". said Erigor in a respectful manner. Even though Zoro was his enemy, he was impressed by the power and abilities he displayed back at the train station.
"I never claimed to be any "Legendary Swordsman", that was just a name given to me." Said Zoro as he placed the Wado Ichimonji in his mouth.
"Like I care!" Erigor summoned a magic circle and fired a powerful wind blast towards Zoro. After the impact, the entire area was covered by a smokescreen, so neither of them were able to see each other's location.
"I guess that makes me the winner." declared Erigor. But through all the smoke, Erigor saw a figure standing at the end with three blades. Erigor took a step back realising that his attack didn't even scratch Zoro.
"Not bad, you're definitely a lot stronger than those small fries back at the train station. But now it's time to get serious!" Zoro rushed in with his blades and tried to close the gap between the two, Erigor started firing more wind blasts towards Zoro but he was easily dodging them left and right. Even before his very eyes, Erigor couldn't believe the speed that Zoro was exhibiting.
Just after a few seconds, Zoro closed the gap and clashed his swords with Erigor's scythe. He began swinging his swords and started pressurizing Erigor who was on the defensive.
"What the hell! He's so fast! Looks like I underestimated him, this might actually prove to be challenge!" Erigor quickly took to the sky and sent a pressurized air slash towards Zoro. Seeing the attack heading his way, Zoro tightly held the Shusui.
"Ittoryu… Bird Dance (Yakkodori)!" Zoro launched a crescent moon-like projectile of compressed air towards Erigor's attack. Even after the two attacks collided, Zoro's attack overpowered Erigor's air slash and carried on flying towards him. Erigor quickly dodged the attack but it missed just by a hair. As the attack carried on flying past him, it easily slashed a rock formation in half.
"How is this possible?! He doesn't use magic but his attacks are so lethal! Is this the true power of the "Legendary swordsman?!" Erigor turned to Zoro and saw his serious expression.
"What the hell is up with that face?! Do you really think you can beat me?! Well too bad for you, you can't reach me up here!" mocked Erigor as he charged his attacks in the air.
Zoro didn't respond and began running towards another rock formation. Erigor watched as Zoro was running so fast that he ran up the rocks and jumped. With his blades ready, Zoro moved in for an attack.
"Nitoryu… 72 Pound Phoenix!" Zoro sent a powerful double air compressed projectile towards Erigor.
Erigor used a powerful windblast to dodge the attack but as the attack carried on, it managed to slice up a row of rock pillars.
"Damn this bastard is no joke! I'm underestimating him too much!" Erigor took out his scythe and got ready to attack. Landing in front of Zoro, he began spinning his Scythe at super speed.
"Die! Wind Slash Barrage!" yelled Erigor as he a horde of wind slashes towards him.
Zoro observed as windsicles were approaching him quickly but he didn't display any expression of worry. He simply took a deep breath and closed his eye as he began to concentrate. Feeling the wind approaching him, he simply moved forward.
"Santoryu… Streaming Wolf Sword (Toro Nagashi)!" Zoro easily moved forward as he tilted his head and dodged the first windsicle. Erigor's eyes widened the moment he saw Zoro easily dodge his rapid barrage of attacks with his eyes closed.
Like flowing water, Zoro's fluid movements allow him to easily approached Erigor, twisting his body around as he was continuously dodging the attack. Upon finally getting close enough to Erigor, Zoro delivered a slice to his stomach area.
With that attack, Erigor finally dropped to the ground and Zoro turned back to see his defeated opponent. Zoro took the Wado out of his mouth and proceeded to sheathe his blades. But at that very moment, a dark mist began surfacing from the lullaby, completely engulfing Erigor. An explosion of magic energy kicked in as grey skies formed around them. There was lightning and the earth around them began to crack.
Zoro turned around and noticed a powerful black magic tornado forming in front of him, inside it was Erigor but with his eyes glowing red and a black third eye appearing on his forehead. He unleashed his strongest magic as if he was being possessed. Erigor slowly started making his way towards Zoro.
Zoro quickly got in a defensive stance; he could feel himself beginning to lose his footing as he started getting pulled towards the black tornado. He took out his swords and buried them to the ground to hold his ground but the tornado proved to be too powerful. Zoro flew in and was spinning in the tornado.
Several miles from the action were the Fairy Tail gang who were able to escape thanks to the help of Lucy's new celestial, Virgo. A maid with shackles around her wrist, short, pink hair and blue eyes. Wearing a standard café maid attire consisting of black under coat, a white filled trim-apron and white knee socks and black shoes. Additionally, she was MUCH skinnier compared to when she was with her original owner, having a more petite and beautiful body under Lucy's care. She used her power to dig a hole which allowed them to escape from underground.
The gang watched from afar as they saw a huge black tornado destroying everything around them. Lucy held Happy tight as she was worried for what they were about to approach, Natsu was sick as usual from the ride, Gray was using his magic to deflect any incoming debris. Erza on the other hand was the only one keeping her eyes open as she went full speed towards the tornado.
"Darn it, I hope were not too late! You better still be alive, Zoro!" thought Erza even though she was feeling weak.
"Ngh… I can barely breathe." Thought Zoro as he was gasping for air. Realising that panicking wasn't going to help, he calmed down and began to feel his surroundings. In his mind, everything went dark as he could feel the aura of those around him.
Zoro closed his eye and concentrated as he tried to pinpoint Erigor's location, he prepared his blades for an attack. He opened his right eye and covered his blades in haki as he used the speed of the tornado to empower his attack.
"Santoryu… BLACK ROPE DRAGON TWISTER (Kokujo: O Tatsumaki!)!" yelled Zoro as he unleashed an all-powerful attack. From the ground, a black dragon erupted as it began circling around Erigor tornado. The Fairy Tail gang watched as the magical tornado was being overpowered by an even stronger force.
"Impossible… my magic is… OVER POWERED?!" Erigor slowly looked up and saw death approach him from above. He watched as Zoro descended from the sky with his blades ready to attack.
"Santoryu… Rengoku! ONI GIRI! (Purgatory! Demon Slash!)" Zoro delivered his iconic attack and appeared behind Erigor. The attack not only slashed Erigor's chest but completely destroyed the tornado, clearing the sky. Zoro landed without any issue and sheathed his blades, following up with Erigor slamming on the train tracks as the black magic which was covering him disappeared and so did the third eye.
"Not a bad fight. If you weren't evil, I would've even considered fighting you again." Said Zoro as he casually took off his bandana and tightened it around his arm.
"J-just tell me this… how can you be... so strong without magic?" asked Erigor as he slowly turned his attention to Zoro's back.
"I pushed myself. In a world of magic, monsters and wizards, I couldn't fall behind just because I didn't possess magic. My strength was earned and that's how it should be, perhaps if you pushed yourself to be stronger as well, you wouldn't have to rely on a silly instrument to defeat your enemies." replied Zoro as he walked over to Erigor and grabbed the lullaby.
"Heh… maybe." Replied Erigor as he smiled and lost consciousness.
Zoro looked at the lullaby and noticed its three eye holes beginning to glow. He could feel its demonic powers attempting to burrow into him.
"I can feel it, your strength is overwhelming, and your power is unbeatable. You're far stronger than anyone from the dark guild, even your friends don't hold a candle against you. Join me, and I can make you the strongest. I will give you magic that would rival gods!" spoke the lullaby as he tried to bribe Zoro.
Zoro just stared at the flute, his right eye beginning to glow purple from the magic. He could feel the dark magic taking over his arm as purple energy began covering him. As the power was about to reach his body, the energy slowly began returning to the lullaby whilst Zoro's arm turned black. Zoro's right eye changed colour from purple back to black.
"I don't need your magic. If I'm going to attain strength, I'll do so my way. Without taking a shortcut." declared Zoro as he stopped the power from flowing into him and stopping the dark magic.
Zoro discovered that Haki could be used to combat magic just like devil fruits back in his home world. He could use Haki alongside his weapons to not just predict and sense magic, but also cut it. In this instance, he managed to use it to contain the magic that was spreading in his body and use it to guard himself.
Just then, Zoro noticed a familiar vehicle approaching towards him. He saw Erza driving the vehicle, but she was looking extremely exhausted.
"Zoro!" cried Erza as she saw her green haired companion in front of her. Lucy, Gray and Happy peaked their heads outside the car and smiled, seeing how he was standing victorious over the leader of the dark guild.
Once the car stopped, out of it came Erza, Lucy, Happy, a very sickly Natsu being dragged by Gray and to Zoro's surprise, a bandaged-up Kageyama. Everyone was displaying emotions of happiness except Kageyama who couldn't believe that Erigor was actually defeated.
"Zoro you've done it!" applauded Erza as she tried to reach Zoro but due to her magic being depleted, she lost strength in her legs and started to topple but Zoro quickly grabbed her.
Erza could feel her heart skip a beat upon falling into Zoro's arms. Lucy witnessing the whole thing, silently gasped because she felt nervous. Ever since the incident at the train station, Lucy and Zoro couldn't have a proper conversation. Just seeing how close Erza and Zoro were, made her feel worried since she had feelings for him all this time.
"Idiot! I told you that you were using up too much magic." Said Zoro annoyed. Everybody feared the worst for Zoro because this would be where Erza started fighting back and when that happens, someone will definitely get hurt. The rest of the gang began sweating bullets anticipating that Erza would punch him.
"I-I… I'm sorry. I-I was just… really worried." Responded Erza in a cute shy voice as she placed her head on Zoro's chest. Everybody besides Zoro had their mouths hanging from such a response. They weren't expecting Titania to have such a gentle side after all the events of today but being near Zoro changed her into a helpless maiden.
"Well either way, it's over. I've got the lullaby." announced Zoro as he showed it to the gang. Everybody looked at the instrument in surprise. They had no idea that such deadly magic could come from a small instrument.
"Man, we fought through a whole dark guild just for this? Hope it was worth the trouble." Said Gray as he had a closer examination of the artefact.
"It was. Thanks to our efforts, the guild masters are safe. In fact, since we're so close to Clover, we may as well visit the masters and ask how we should dispose of the lullaby." Suggested Erza as she tried to stand up with Zoro's assistance.
"Aye, that's a great idea." Agreed Happy.
"Okay but someone else is gonna have to give up their magic for the 4-wheeler, I don't think Erza can…" said Zoro but a dark shadow swept in and grabbed the lullaby from Zoro's hand. Everyone turned to see the 4-wheeler being driven away by Kageyama.
"What the hell!?" shouted Zoro. The gang all turned their attention to 4 wheel and attempted to give chase but it was already too far.
"The lullaby is mine! Guess you shouldn't have been so trusting! See ya later, losers! HAHAHAHA!" mocked Kageyama as he drove off.
"That jerk!" yelled Natsu in frustration.
"Seriously, this is the thanks we get for saving his life!?" questioned Lucy.
"We have to go after him! The guild masters are in dang…" Erza couldn't finish her sentence since she was so fatigued with losing so much magic. Zoro quickly picked up Erza in a piggyback stance and got ready to run.
"Come on, we don't have time to waste. We need to go now!" yelled Zoro as he began following the train tracks. Everyone watched as Zoro was running but they couldn't believe it.
"Um… Zoro." Said Happy with a facepalm.
"YOU'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY!" cried the gang in unison.
"What?!" yelled Zoro in confusion. Erza just had a defeated look not being able to believe what was happening.
Later that day
Everyone was running towards the guild masters at full speed, hoping to get there before Kageyama could use the lullaby. It was already getting dark so everyone was fearing the worst but luckily for them, they were nearly there.
"Look! The guild masters building is just up ahead!" said Gray as the gang followed along behind him. However, Happy had to sit on Zoro's head to make sure he would turn him the correct way if he ever went astray… which happened a lot.
"Come on, we have to warn everyone before that bastard plays the lullaby." Said Natsu. Everyone continued running but Zoro stopped running and turned his attention to his left as he could feel someone's presence.
"Zoro, what're you waiting for? We have to go now!" yelled Erza but Zoro simply started walking towards another direction.
"Hang on, I sense something. This power, I felt it before!" responded Zoro as he made his way towards the source. The others quickly followed and found Kageyama in front of their guild master, ready to play the lullaby.
"THERE! Kageyama's getting ready to play the flute!" said Lucy.
"Stop him!" yelled Erza as she got ready to move but then a hand stopped her from moving.
"Sssh, we're just getting to the good part. Let's just silently watch, shall we?" said an elderly, bald and cross-dressing man with a purple spaghetti-strap shirt accessorized by a gold and fuchsia hoop necklace. Additionally, sporting a striped-pink and purple short, red lipstick, blush on the cheeks and white wings on his back. This was Bob, the founder and Guild Master of the Blue Pegasus guild.
The gang all backed off in a surprise at his appearance since he arrived out of nowhere and were freaked out over his effeminate attitude.
"Master Bob? What are you doing here?" asked Erza.
"My my Erza, you have certainly grown into a beautiful woman indeed." Replied Bob upon looking up and down Erza to see her new appearance. He also turned his attention to Zoro to see his new look and changes and smiled as he realised, they were all together. Bob went closer to Erza and whispered in her ear.
"No doubt trying to impress your man. Am I right, Erza?" asked Bob which made Erza go red in the face and cover her face. She squat down and waved her right hand back and forth while covering her face with her left hand.
"N-no! It's not like that! W-we're just here to help the masters!" Bob smiled as he saw her cute expression and realised while her words could lie, her heart could not.
"You're so obvious, Erza dear. But I'm really happy for you, you have truly become a beautiful young woman. And of course, you Zoro. You've become quite the handsome young man yourself. You remind me of me when I was young. I hope you two can become closer and realise your feelings for one another." Thought Bob as he saw Zoro look over at Erza in confusion while Erza was still covering her embarrassed expression.
Lucy was watching the whole situation go down but she gasped as they completely forgot their original objective.
"Guys, we don't have time! The lullaby!" yelled Lucy in a panic.
"No, there's no need to worry. Let's just keep quiet and watch, shall we? After all, this is the best part." Responded another man with a navy shirt, black glasses and a pointy hat with a spiky collar around it.
"Master Goldmine!" said Erza. Goldmine pointed towards Makarov and Kageyama, the gang all turned their attention to them and watched as Kageyama gently put down the Lullaby and began to tear up.
"I surrender." Said Kageyama as he knelt down on all four. They all smiled as the threat of the lullaby was finally over. After their battle with the infamous Dark Guild and their journey towards the masters, it was finally the end.
"The master did it!" cheered Lucy with excitement.
"Master!" cried Erza as she ran over to Makarov who was surprised to see her.
"Gramps!" said Natsu and Gray. The gang all rushed towards the small master in happiness to know that he was able to take down the threat before it became too dangerous.
"What are you all doing here?!" asked Makarov in surprise as he saw all of his strongest members before him.
"Erza wanted to make sure that you were okay from that Lullaby thing but… as expected, you handled it by yourself, old man." Said Zoro as he walked over to the old man.
"Hm, I may be old but I can still take on anything, Zoro." Responded Makarov happily. Erza quickly grabbed Makarov and pulled him towards her chest. Now normally, this would be any man's dream to have a lovely girl hold them but due to Erza's metal plate, all it did was hurt Makarov's head.
"Oh master! I'm so glad you're okay!" said Erza as she held him tightly.
"I-I'm fine, Erza. T-thank you for the concern but I'm okay." Responded Makarov as he tried to free himself from her grip.
"You pathetic cowardly WIZARDS!" screamed an ominous voice. Everyone turned their attention to the source and saw the lullaby beginning to emanate a dark aura.
"There's something coming!" warned Happy as he pointed to the sky.
A dark magic circle appeared in the sky and fired lightning towards the flute causing it grow and transform into a monster like creature. A gargantuan Wooden Demon with three eyes!
"I have grown impatient relying on these pathetic dark guild wizards! I will devour your souls!" screamed a large tree beast as big as a mountain, towering over all the wizards.
"YIKES! HE'S HUGE!" cried Lucy in fright as the creature looked down on them. Happy and Lucy hugged each and other, crying as they realised that this creature was going to destroy them.
"What the hell?! I had no idea that this was the lullaby's true form!" said Kageyama in a panicked voice next to the guild masters who were casually watching the monster.
"My my, that's quite a surprise." Replied Bob with a sly smile.
"This is definitely a demon from the Book of Zelef."
"We need to take it down! Now!" said Makarov.
"Agreed! Natsu, Gray, I need you two get as many people as you can to safety immediately!" instructed Erza while the two male wizards were staring each other down angrily.
"Tch, who does she think she is, bossing us around like that." Said Gray as he made a defiant face.
"Yeah, we don't have to listen to her." Agreed Natsu as he started acting gutsy.
"Now!" yelled Erza as she turned around with frustration.
"Aye, ma'am!" responded the two as they hugged each other and did as she instructed.
"There they go again, with the Happy act." Said Lucy as she rolled her eyes. As the masters took away the surrounding citizens and guards, the gang grouped together as they got ready for the final assault.
Zoro felt reminiscent as memories of Thriller Bark resurfaced in his mind when they fought against Orz. He imagined Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky, Brook and Luffy all next to him getting ready for the fight but they slowly faded as he saw Natsu, Gray, Erza, Lucy and Happy in their place. He smirked as he remembered the good times and got ready to fight.
"Oi! Natsu! Gray! Erza!" called Zoro.
"How about we show this thing how we do it, back at Fairy tail?" declared Zoro as he wore his bandana again. Natsu smiled as he punched his palm, Gray had his hands in his pocket and Erza re-equipped into her Black Wing Armor.
"Am I to assume that you guys can handle this?" asked Makarov as he looked towards the 4 guild members. Zoro looked back as he took out his blades and responded.
"Leave it to us, old man." The 4 began walking towards the demon.
"You have quite the team, don't you Makarov." Said Bob.
"Indeed, I've never met such powerful young wizards before." Said Goldmine.
"Of course, they're the pride and joy of my guild. In fact, I could even call them…" said Makarov as he saw Zoro take lead by walking forward with all three of his blades drawn, Erza walking beside him, Natsu with his hands enflamed and Gray with his hands in his pocket.
"The strongest team!"
"Bring it on you weaklings! I will crush you all!" yelled the Lullaby as it charged up energy in its mouth. Zoro looked up and noticed the attack before turning to Gray.
"GRAY!" yelled Zoro as the Lullaby began to unleash a large purple energy blast from the right towards the left, destroying everything in its path. Gray jumped forward in front of the group and made a fist with his right hand on the palm of his left hand which created a magical circle.
"I got it covered! ICE MAKE: SHIELD!" said Gray as a large flower like ice construct formed before them and blocked the large energy blast from the Lullaby. The guild masters and the rest of the gang were amazed at how quick he was able to create a shield at such quick speed.
"Unbelievable! To create a magical construct at that speed!"
"What incredible Maker magic!"
"Maker Magic?" asked Lucy.
"It's a type of magic which gives form to magical power. You can even steal forms away." Explained Happy which surprised Lucy since she never witnessed maker magic at this level. She looked around and noticed how the destruction began to spread as the fire was spreading through all the trees.
"Guys! The fire's spreading!" exclaimed Lucy as she pointed at the burning trees. At that moment, she looked up and noticed as all the fire began to leave the trees and go towards one point. It was Natsu eating the flames and charging up his fire powers.
"Oh yeah! Now I'm all revved up!" said Natsu as the fire in his eyes got him excited.
"You bunch of monsters! I've had enough! It's time to claim your soul!" yelled the Lullaby. The monster created several magical circles as it began drawing energy from its surroundings. Everyone looked around and noticed as the leaves, trees and the ground began to lose their colour and wither.
"What the hell is it doing!?"
"It's absorbing all the life around us!"
"It's getting ready to play its melody!"
"Not if we can't do anything to stop it!"
Zoro ran forward and jumped as his blades began to spin rapidly. "Santoryu Ogi! Three Thousand Worlds (Sanzen Sekai)!" Zoro sliced the chest of the Lullaby, three large slices appeared down it's torso. With the strength of that attack, the Lullaby couldn't concentrate on its attack. Taking this opportunity, Natsu quickly ran in with fire gathering in his hands.
"Now it's my turn! IRON FIST OF THE FIRE DRAGON!" roared Natsu as a flaming dragon appeared in his fist and delivered a powerful punch directly on the creature's chest where Zoro left his mark, knocking the lullaby off its feet.
"Guess it's my time to shine! ICE MAKE…" said Gray as he placed his fist on his palm, creating a magical circle and ice around him.
"HEAVEN'S FIST!" yelled Gray as he created a large ice sculpted fist which rose from the ground and punch the back of the lullaby. The creature roared as it got pushed forward and all it could see was angelic knight approaching it at top speed.
"For the danger you have caused to our guild and masters! We will defeat you!" declared Erza as she summoned two swords and slashed the Lullaby's neck with all her might. The lullaby created a dark explosive wave to send everyone flying away. Makarov and the other guild masters created a shield with their magic to protect everyone but the Fairy Tail guild members weren't so fortunate.
Happy was trying his best to hang on a tree while Lucy was trying to prevent her skirt from flipping up but the force was too strong that she was about to fly away. Zoro quickly grabbed her and held her in a bridal style while getting in cover to protect her from the magic.
"Hey Lucy, are you okay?" asked Zoro but Lucy wasn't able to respond being extremely red in face with how close Zoro was. She tried to brush herself clean and before responding with a gentle nod.
"Good, but you should stay clear, if things get ugly, I won't be able to help you." Said Zoro as he got ready to leave but before he left, Lucy grabbed his coat.
"I-I want to help! I'm a member of this guild too! I-I'm not helpless, Zoro. I worked hard because… I wanted to keep my promise! Because I wanted to meet…" Said Lucy in a shy manner because she wasn't sure if he remembered. Lucy held his shirt tightly before releasing a few tears from her eyes but Zoro turned around and gently patted her head.
"I know… I remember." Replied Zoro as he smiled at her. Lucy looked up at his smile and returned the smile as she wiped away her tears and smiled back before jumping on him and hugging him.
"Zoro, so you did remember." Thought Lucy as she happily held him. However, their moment was cut short as they saw the damage the Lullaby was causing as Natsu, Gray and Erza were doing their best to fight back. They broke off their hug and concentrated back to the threat before them.
"So, what're we gonna do?" asked Lucy.
"Well, I've got a plan but I need to reduce its mobility first. I could ask Gray but he's too busy as it is." Said Zoro but an idea popped into Lucy's idea.
"Zoro, I've got an idea. If you give me a second, I can fulfil your request." said Lucy but Zoro turned around in confusion since he wasn't sure what she was planning.
"How will you do that?" asked Zoro but Lucy simply took out one of her celestial keys and smiled.
Back to the fight, the Lullaby continuously kept swinging its arm to try and swat away Erza who was delivering aerial attacks while Gray delivered a barrage of ranged icicle attacks. Natsu continued his frontal attacks as he charged himself with the fire around him but he had hardened his defence with the life of the nature it absorbed around it.
"Guys! Any ideas on how we can put this thing down for good?" asked Gray as he continued attacking.
"Well, I'm hitting it as hard as I can but it's not doing budging!" replied Natsu as he roared a large breath of fire at the creature but using its own dark magic, it simply dusted off the flames.
"We have to try and weaken its defences! Where is Zoro? Another good cut could be the perfect chance we need to finish it off." Said Erza as she continued evading the creature's attack.
"If he's not with us, chances are he's probably gotten him lost again!" said Gray as he launched himself into the air and swung down a large ice axe towards the lullaby causing it stumble back from the attack. Natsu quickly followed along and once again use his Iron fist of the fire dragon to deliver a strong punch to its torso.
The lullaby gathered its dark magic and clapped its hands together sending a loud sonic clap which caused everyone to fall back and Erza to have a hard landing.
"I'VE HAD IT WITH YOU FLIES! You've ruined my body with all these burns, frosts and cuts! I can't even play my melody anymore with all these holes on my body! But it's fine, once I absorb all your magic and souls, I'll begin playing my melody and destroy the world!" declared the Lullaby as it charged the trio but as it was running, it fell to the ground and slammed hard.
Natsu, Gray and Erza quickly jumped out of the way but were confused at what just occurred. All of the wizards looked back to see that its legs had been trapped in some kind of large hole.
"What is the meaning of this?!" questioned the Lullaby in anger.
"Where did that hole come from?" asked Natsu. The group looked down to see Lucy waving at them with the Virgo beside her covered in dirt after the large job she just did. The lullaby managed to get up but since half of its body was sunk to the ground, it was stuck.
"GRAAAH! Curse you wizards!" cried the Lullaby as it got ready to punch the group. Zoro ran past them with all his speed, swords drawn.
"1 Gorrila, 2 Gorilla!" said Zoro as he flexed his biceps and enlarging his muscles. The rest of the members watched as Zoro became extremely muscular.
"Santoryu! Two-Strong Strength Slash (Nigori-Zake)!" Zoro clashed his blades with the Lullaby's fists and as the two came into collision, it sent a powerful shockwave causing everyone to duck in cover. However, Natsu, Gray and Erza watched as the collision send a shockwave up the Lullaby's arm, making him back off in surprise.
"What the?! He overpowered my strength?!" The Lullaby took a step back as it realised its hand was shaken up from the attack. It looked down and saw Zoro giving it a powerful death stare. But before it had a chance to react, it noticed that from the sides, Natsu and Gray were already close by and ready to attack.
"Now it's our turn! Ice make, LANCE!" Gray extended his arms forward and created a long, curve ice lance towards the Lullaby's head from the right.
"FIRE DRAGON IRON FIST!" Natsu engulfed his fists in flames and got in close to deliver a strong blazing punch from the left.
There was a large burst of magic as they watched their attacks connect and the Lullaby yelled in pain. It was Erza's turn as she flew in to deliver the final attack.
"MOON FLASH!" Erza quickly reappeared behind the creature after delivering a powerful slash at the Lullaby's mouth.
In anger, the creature swung its arms to hit the 4 members of the guild but they all jumped out of the way but the attack still managed to destroy several mountains in the process. Zoro quickly jumped on its right arm, quickly digging his swords into the wood and began running towards the head of the creature while leaving a large cut on its arms.
Using its other arm, it tried to swat off Zoro by slamming its hand on the right arm but luckily in time, Erza flew in and grabbed Zoro to help him manoeuvre.
"Thanks for the catch!"
"You know what to do!"
Erza began to spin and after getting enough momentum, she threw Zoro directly towards the head of the Lullaby. As Zoro started getting closer, he empowered his blades by coating them in Haki.
"Santoryu! Great Buddha Cutter! (Daibutsu Giri)" From the head, Zoro began delivering horizontal slashes across its head, chest and hips.
At that moment, the creature could not move any longer and began shaking as its body expelled a large amount of magic from inside it's chest. As the power erupted, it caused a large dark hole to appear, sucking everything inside itself. Even the large wooden creature began breaking down into bits and crumble inside the portal.
"Everyone! Quickly, get away! We will try to close the portal!" yelled Makarov as he summoned a magic circle around the dark hole but it was too powerful. At that moment, the other masters gathered around Makarov and assisted him with their magic.
The guild members and masters all used their magic to contain the dark hole. Zoro was trying to keep himself rooted to the ground but his haki alerted him of Lucy's situation. She was trying her best to hold on to a tree but suction from the dark hole was too strong and she began flying towards it.
"LUCY!" yelled Zoro as he ran to Lucy and quickly grabbed her midair. As the dark hole began closing, Zoro held her tight as they were both being sucked.
"ZORO! LUCY!" yelled Erza as she saw Zoro and Lucy get swallowed up by the dark magic. Right after, the dark hole finally closed up and all the debris and trees finally fell on the ground. All the other members were left speechless, not being able to believe what had just transpired.
"No… NO! NO! Zoro! Lucy!" yelled Erza as she slammed her fist on the ground.
"O-old man… what happened?" asked Natsu.
"Zoro and Lucy have been teleported away in a dimensional rift."
"Teleported? But where?!" asked Gray in frustration.
"I don't know. But wherever they are… I hope they're okay." Said Makarov.
