Reactivating the Heart
Chapter 6
Brad and Tuck were splashing water at each other while Jenny was still relaxing in her lava bath. As she enjoyed the extreme heat of the lava, Jenny looked up to the roof and noticed how some of the stalactites were beginning to shake. Suddenly the entire cave began to rumble and some of them began to fall down. Brad and Tuck continued splashing each other with water but before they could continue, a LARGE stalactite landed right between them. Once the realisation hit them, both of them began screaming in fear.
Jenny, however, jumped out of her lava pool and flew around the falling stalactites, destroying them with her weapons. She transformed her hands into large mechanical fists and began smashing them to each other whilst manoeuvring to the best of her ability. She flew full speed ahead towards the boy's room to make sure they were okay but before she could reach the door, a large stalactite fell down and blocked her way.
However, she wasn't deterred and continued flying at high speed, smashing through it and making her way into the boy's room. "Brad! Tucker! Are you two alright!?" Jenny looked over to the pool to see both of the boys continue screaming, frozen in place from what had just occurred.
"Uh… boys?" said Jenny to no avail as they continued screaming. She shook her head as she went over to the two.
"BOYS!" yelled Jenny, finally stopping the two boys from screaming. They both turned their attention to Jenny. "Are you guys okay?"
"Yeah… but I think I just wet myself." Replied Tuck surprising both Brad and Jenny. The rumbling around the whole room continued to worsen as they noticed the stalactites above continued shaking.
"Come on! We need to go! Now!" yelled Jenny as she flew out of the room and headed towards Nora, Moshimo and Miu Miu. Brad and Tuck also followed after her but sadly, they didn't have time to change so they just ran while covering themselves with their clothes. A few moments later, Jenny and the boys managed to get to the main room where Nora and Moshimo were monitoring what was happening outside his home.
"Mom! Dr Moshimo! We're being invaded!" said Jenny as she entered the room.
"We are aware of our dilemma, XJ-9!" replied Nora as she continued assisting Moshimo in repairing Robot-boy while pointing at a large monitor behind them.
"What was that?!" asked Brad half naked as he tried to wear his trousers but ended up falling down on his face.
"What in the world?! Who is that?" asked Tuck as he tucked in his shirt and pointed at the monitor. The monitor revealed a large army of Yetis and Robots having a black and yellow K symbol on their chests. The Yetis rode snowmobiles with weapons on their back while the robots had chain tracked wheels to traverse the snow with ease. Floating above the army was a small man and his assistant who was cycling on a poorly made cloud cycle. But of course, we recognise him as…
"Kamikazi." answered Moshimo who continued working on repairing Robot-boy who was in his deactivated form. Jenny, Brad and Tucker gasped at the revelation before looking at each other, confused.
"Who?" asked the three in unison.
"He is a doctor who has been trying to steal my work. He somehow discovered that I completed Robot-boy and he has been attempting to steal him ever since. That is why I tried to send him to a friend of mine but sadly, Robot-boy never made it there." Replied Moshimo in a calm manner as the rumbling began to get worse. They turned their attention to the screen to see the enemy Robots drilling the entrance.
"HAHAHAHA! ATTACK! ATTACK!" yelled Kamikazi as he jumped on the cloud cycle. To signal the attack order, Constantine took out a large horn and blasted it right next to Kamikazi's ear but he responded by stealing it off of him and bashing Constantine's head.
"STOP THAT, YOU FOOL!" yelled Kamikazi angrily.
Back to the gang, the boys were shaken up whille Nora and Moshimo continued working. Moshimo turned to his fiancé. "Miu Miu, please activate the defences." Requested Moshimo calmly as he gently cut a wire.
Miu Miu responded with a simple nod and went towards the consoles. She sat in front of a computer monitor and began to activate all of their available defence systems. The cavern shook and created cracks as it began releasing Lava which melted the Kamikazi bots which were attempting to drill open the door but the Yetis immediately jumped towards the walls and began climbing up. Miu Miu activated lasers which began rapidly firing at the Yetis causing a few to fall towards the lava.
Several flying Kamikazi drones flew in and shot down her turrets. Jenny, Brad and Tucker watched the screen as the drones flew at a high speed and shot down all of the cameras.
"We're all doomed!" screamed Brad and Tucker as they hugged each other in a panic.
"Not if I've got something to say about it!" said Jenny as she activated her jet wings and got ready to fly out. Nora however, turned her attention to her daughter and ran over to her.
"XJ-9! Stop! You must not face this new enemy! There are simply too many!" warned Nora, worrying about the safety of her daughter.
"Nora is correct, XJ… Jenny. Although Kamikazi may not be dangerous on his own, he is quite cunning. We must wait until Robot Boy is…" added Moshimo as he continued working on Robot-boy.
"Mom! I've taken on Clusters, Gigantic Robots, Space Bikers and Japanese Kaijus! I think I can take on one shrimpy doctor. There's nothing that he can do which will surprise me! Besides you guys need all the time you can get to repair Robot Boy!" said Jenny as she flew out with her weapons ready. She turned to Miu Miu who nodded at her request and opened a small path above the roof to allow Jenny to fly out. Jenny took to the sky at high speed and flew out to see the large number of Robots and Yetis outside Moshimo's home.
"Oh… didn't see that coming." Said Jenny. She gulped knowing that she may have bit more than she could chew but for her family and friends' sake, she wasn't going to back down.
Jenny started by transforming her hands into fists of fury and slamming the ground in which, the Robots were attempting to enter the fortress. The Shockwave caused them to lose balance and topple over. Some of the remaining forces turned their attention to Jenny and they fired a large barrage of lasers towards her.
"Attack! ATTACK, YOU FOOLS!" yelled Kamikazi as he pointed to Jenny.
"YIKES!" shrieked Jenny in fear as she flew in every possible direction to dodge the incoming attack. However, one of the attacks ended up landing on her back, causing her to fall towards a large pile of snow. Seeing her fall, Kamikazi jumped happily for victory,
As the Yetis slowly made their way towards Jenny to see her current condition, they noticed how she was buried in a large pile of snow. They approached her to finish the job but the snow began to move and arising from it was Jenny who transformed her legs into a large Snowball Launcher.
"Hope you're ready for a snow war!" said Jenny as she used her hands to suck large piles of snow into her body. She began rapid firing an entire load of snowballs towards the Yetis, combining its speed and force, they all ran for it. "Yeah, take that! And that! Ooh, I think that one had a rock in it."
The Robots decided to retaliate with combined effort as a small group of them merged together to form a large laser blaster. Jenny continued punching the Yetis away with her large Monkey Paws, swatting them away while they were shooting lasers at her. She turned around to see a large energy blast heading towards her.
Jenny quickly transformed her hands into her own laser blaster and fired back at them. As their energy beam clashed, both sides tried their best to overpower each other. Jenny realised that this attack would drain most of her power but she knew she couldn't lose so she diverted all power towards her blasters.
She continued empowering her attack and it finally swallowed up the combined robot, disintegrating it into nothing. Jenny transformed her hands back to normal but having used up so much of her energy, she fell to her knees and looked up to see that she barely made a dent to their numbers.
"There's no end to them!" Jenny noticed how all the robots were turning towards her for another attack but running low on power, Jenny took to the sky to get away. A monitor popped out of her chest and it displayed Nora's face.
"XJ-9! Return this instant!" said Nora.
"But there's still so many!" said Jenny as she transformed her hands into laser guns.
"Do not worry, XJ-9. The repairs are almost complete, once Robot-boy is ready, he can help you defeat them!" said Nora.
Jenny looked around and knew that by herself, it was going to be far too difficult. So, she decided to make the mature move and flew back. Entered the base ane landing in front of Nora and the others.
"Jenny!" said Brad and Tucker seeing all the damage she received during the battle with Kamikazi's army. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. I used a lot of energy in my last attack though. I'm going to need to minute to self-charge." Said Jenny as she transformed her hand into a remote and pressed a button which read "Self-charge." During this mode, she wasn't able to unleash her full arsenal but she would slowly regain energy.
"I'm glad you're okay Jenny but what about them? They'll be busting in here any second now and then what will we do? We're just gonna be sitting ducks!" said Tuck in fear.
"Worry not, we still many other surprises up our sleeves." Replied Moshimo nonchalantly. Once again, they felt a loud rumble around them. They turned their attention to the screen, displaying how they had broken through the large doors.
Moshimo continued working on Robot-boy but as he heard marching noises, he stopped for a second and walked towards his console to press a red button. At that moment, mechanical room had locked the gang inside the room. The Yetis and the Robots had finally arrived and saw the large mechanised room, they attempted to fire all of their weapons but the outer shell of the room didn't receive a dent of damage.
"Worry not my friends, the barrier was made with Vibranium. As long as we are within these walls, we are safe." Said Moshimo as he continued working on Robot-boy. Jenny, Brad and Nora took a sigh of relief knowing that they were safe. Tuck looked around the room and noticed a bright red button.
"Ooh! What does this button do?!" said Tuck as he proceeded to press the button. Moshimo froze in place and turned to see what Tuck was about to press causing him to panic.
"Nooooo!" yelled Moshimo as he tried to stop Tuck but it was too late. The safe room had opened and revealed the entire army under Kamikazi's control. Armed Yeti soldiers and robots had surrounded them from top to bottom, aiming their weapons directly towards them. The gang all their attention to Tuck and gave him an angry glare to which he responded by whistling poorly. Using this opportunity, Nora quickly grabbed Robot-boy and continued working under the table to finish repairing him.
Jenny checked her energy bar and she had only charged a tiny amount. However, with how bad the situation was, she got ready to fight back.
"Greetings, hello. But don't get up, surrender, good!" said Kamikazi in a smug manner.
"Well then, I'll be taking that Robot now!" said Kamikazi as he extended his hand.
"If you want Robot-boy, you'll have to go through me!" warned Jenny as she transformed her hands into twin laser barrels, ready to fight back.
"Oh please, I have an army!" threatened Kamikazi.
"We have a Robot-boy!" said Nora surprising everyone. Nora jumped over the table and threw Robot-boy into the air. She then used the watch to activate him. Everyone looked to the mini robot in the air as he transformed into his regular form.
"Now, Robot-boy! Defeat these intruders!" said Nora as she pointed at Kamikazi and Constantine. Robot-boy's eyes turned red as he slammed his fists together to transform into his super mode.
The Yetis began shooting lasers from their wrist at a rapid speed but Robot Boy was able to deflect the lasers easily from his wrists. As the lasers carried on firing, Robot Boy began deflecting them towards the enemies.
Jenny flew up and transformed her hands into a long lasso, catching a few of the Yetis and spinning them around.
"ROBOTS! ATTACK!" screamed Kamikazi as he pointed towards the two robots.
As the army of evil robots carried on rolling forward, they set their sights on Robot-Boy and fired their missiles. However, Robot Boy put up his guard with his arm but the knockback was too strong. Robot Boy flew back and slammed into the wall, falling down with large debris completely covering him.
"ROBOT BOY!" cried Jenny as she turned to the evil robots with rage in her eyes. She transformed her hands into twin bazookas and she fired everything towards them, leaving nothing but spare parts.
After a while, Robot Boy emerged from the debris. The Kamikazibots began firing missiles again but Robot Boy managed to easily fly around and dodge each of them through a figure 8 manoeuvre. The explosions caused debris to collapse around the Yetis and near the heroes.
Jenny flew down and transformed her body into a dome around her friends to protect them. Whereas Robot Boy grabbed one of the enemy droids and punched through its chest, on the other side was the Kamikazibot's battery. After dropping the robot, Robot Boy looked at the battery in his hand, crushing it before turning to the enemies. A sight which caused even emotionless robots to leak themselves at Robot-boy's brutality.
Robot-boy transformed his hands into dual flamethrowers. Firing a large flame blast which caused the Kamikazibots to melt from the intense heat in an instant. They attempted to fire back at him with their own lasers but he quickly reverted his hands back into a shield and deflected them away.
After the firing stopped, he flew down at high speed and punched the ground, cracking the floor as lava burst through the ground. Seeing this, Jenny quickly enlarged her hands and picked up all of her friends to a safer location.
"Jenny, please assist Robot boy!" requested Moshimo. They turned their attention to Robot-boy who was firing lasers as the lava began to rise.
"Got it! You guys find a way out of here!" said Jenny as she flew to aid Robot-boy.
"Miumiu, please activate emergency exit." Said Moshimo. Miumiu proceeded to activate a switch on the wall, opening a mechanical door. The group ran inside and closed the door, giving Robot-boy and Jenny the chance to unleash all they had.
"Hey Robot-boy!" said Jenny as she flew over to the super robot. Robot boy turned to Jenny, while he couldn't display a lot of emotions during his super form, she could tell that he was smiling to see her okay.
What surprised her even more was how he quickly grabbed her and hugged her, even though Robot boy was made of metal, she could feel the heat of his hug. Jenny's face couldn't help but slightly smile at the idea that Robot-boy was hugging her. But afterwards, the two broke off their hug and looked around to remember that they were still battling the Kamikazibots.
"Aww, look boss, the two Robots love each other." Said Constantine in a cute manner since he found their interaction adorable.
"Love? LOVE?! I hate love! Robots! Attack them!" yelled Kamikazi angrily. The Robots and Yetis got their weapons prepared as they focused back to Jenny and Robot-boy.
"You ready?" asked Jenny as she turned her hands into giant mallets to which Robot boy replied with a simple nod. Robot boy quickly flew towards the enemies and rammed into them as if he was a bowling ball, knocking them into the air. Jenny took the chance to use her mallets to whack them hard enough to send them flying out of the volcano.
Afterwards, Robot transformed his hands into grappling hooks to bring down a large stalactite towards a group of Yetis causing them to drop their weapons and run in fear. Before they could escape, Jenny fired several bolas to stop them from moving.
"THIS IS RIDICULOUS! KAMIKAZIBOTS, COMBINE!" yelled Kamikazi as he whacked Constantine's head. After he stopped, Constantine started blowing on a horn as a signal for them to take action.
The remainder of the Kamikazibots decided it was time to get serious and started ripping themselves apart in a grotesque fashion and reassembling themselves into a gigantic horrifying 12 handed monster bot with three heads and a squid legs.
As the robotic abomination roared, it began swinging all 12 of its arms towards the two robot heroes. Jenny and Robot-boy kept flying around it in hopes of dodging its assault but at the last moment, Jenny's foot got caught and she got slammed into the ground.
"Ungh… that wasn't pleasant." Said Jenny as she started rubbing her head in pain. Sadly, she didn't have time to get back to her sense as the robot abomination wrapped its squid leg around her and picked her up.
"Hey, let go of me!" demanded Jenny as he tried to use all her strength to free herself but as she made a little progress, the robotic abomination sent a current through its leg, zapping Jenny causing her to scream in pain.
Robot-boy stopped flying and turned his attention to Jenny again and saw her in trouble, his eyes turned red as his fists began shaking. Seeing him floating in the same spot, the robot abomination took its chance to grab Robot-boy, as the arm came close in contact to him, he easily blocked the arm and punched it back towards the enemy.
Getting hit by its own arm with twice the force, the robot abomination was befuddled for a brief moment as one of its legs landed in a small pool of lava and giving Robot Boy the perfect chance to free Jenny and fly away.
"Thanks for the save, Robot-boy." Said Jenny as she tried to get back to her sense but she realised that robot actually drained most of her power.
"Great! If I try to fight now, I'll undoubtedly lose power within seconds!" said Jenny with annoyance as she saw her power level on her wrist. Noticing this, Robot boy slowly made his way towards Jenny and she watched the tall robot kneel before her.
"What're you…?" said Jenny but she was immediately interrupted by a sudden kiss on the cheek by Robot boy which caused her to go red from surprise.
"Oh my gosh! Robot-boy! What're you doing?! You can't just do that! There are certain rules that you need to… wait, I feel recharged." Said Jenny as she checked her power level slowly increasing. Little did she know in the middle of rant, he actually gave her half of his energy supply.
"Did you… give me your energy?" asked Jenny and Robot boy replied with a simple nod to answer her question.
"Thanks Robot-boy… I really appreciate it. Now come on, let's finish this guy and save our friends and family!" said Jenny.
After a while, the Robot Abomination finally got its senses together and tried to step out but noticed its leg had sadly melted off from being in the lava too long. Noticing the damage it got, Robot boy finally understood its weakness. The only thing this robot did was increase its layers but with enough heat, they would be able to penetrate its defences. Robot boy looked down towards the lava and dove straight towards it.
"ROBOT-BOY! What are you…?" asked Jenny but it was too late. He dove into the lava and submerged his entire body surprising Jenny and the robot abomination.
"HAHAHAHA! What a fool! He knew he couldn't win so he dove straight to his doom!" said Kamikazi with pride, thinking he won the fight.
But Jenny wasn't going to have it, she combined her hands into one BIG mace and whacked the enemy robot with so much force that she sent it flying outside of the cave and into the open. Upon reaching the open space, Jenny activated her thrusters into overdrive and flew above the enemy before unleashing a large palm blast, hurdling it towards the ground.
"That… was for… Robot-boy, you jerk!" said Jenny as she fell to the ground, having used the last of her power. The Robot Abomination was lying flat on the ground, not being able to move but the last of its three heads opened its eyes. Jenny looked up and saw the monstrous creature slowly making its way towards her.
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me." Said Jenny. The Robot Abomination attempted to punch Jenny with all of its force but before the arm could reach her, a burning red heat emerged from the ground and ripped the Abomination's arm off with a swift attack. The Robot Abomination roared at the sight of its hand getting chopped off and took a step back.
Jenny looked up and noticed a shining red figure in front of her, she tried her best to see who it was but the light was too bright. After a while, the light began to disappear and in front of them was Robot-boy but he was completely red, giving off thermal energy from top to bottom.
"Robot… boy?" said Jenny but she was in complete disbelief seeing his new form. Robot Boy turned to Jenny to reassure her that it was him but, in an instant, the Robot Abomination swing its arm towards him. But as the mechanical arm came close to him, the heat emitting from Robot-boy easily melted its arm off.
Everyone was shocked to say the least. The entire time they had assumed that Robot-boy gave up, he was actually powering up his entire body with heat energy. Robot-boy slowly turned around and slowly made his way towards the Robot Abomination which roared at its arm getting melted off.
Jenny looked down to the icy ground and noticed how quickly it was beginning to melt. She looked up to see Robot-boy slowly unleashing his power little by little but the she could feel the energy spreading quickly. As Robot-boy continued walking towards the Robot Abomination, his surroundings completely melted and he managed to trap both of them in a red heat sphere. Kamikazi, Constantine and Jenny watched in awe as the two were finally about to clash and end their battle.
The Robot Abomination roared as it tried to punch Robot-boy with all of its remaining right arms but before it could touch him, Robot-boy simply increased the temperature from his body causing all of the rights arms to melt before it could even touch him. The Abomination roared as it attempted to do the same with its left arms but once again, they all melted before they even touched Robot-boy.
Having no way to attack, the Robot Abomination simply watched Robot-boy gently flew towards him and landed a powerful punch directly on its chest. Using his remaining heat energy, Robot-boy fired a powerful heat blast so powerful it melted right through the Abomination and continued flying towards space, leaving a large melted hole in its chest.
Unluckily for Kamikazi and Constantine, the attack was so large that they couldn't dodge it. As the two got burned to crisp from the attack, the two jumped into the icy cold water and began swimming away.
After that attack, Robot-boy reverted to his blue super form and took a few steps back as the Robot Abomination stopped moving and fell backwards, crashing through the ice and sinking into the icy water. Jenny was still left awestruck as what she had seen, that was the second time that Robot-boy had used such a powerful ability.
She looked over to see Robot-boy walking towards her but as he did, his body slowly began reverting back into his original form. Upon reaching Jenny, Robot-boy had completed his transformation and he gave Jenny a gentle smile.
"Good going, Robot-boy." Said Jenny. Robot-boy responded with a smile and proceeded to give her a hug.
"Robot-boy… glad… you okay." Said Robot-boy which made Jenny blush as she picked him and she spun around.
The rest of the gang met up with Jenny and Robot-boy outside of the volcano base. Nora ran to Jenny and gave her a hug after leaving her to fight the evil robots. Brad and Tuck also joined in to show their happiness.
Moshimo and Miu Miu smiled at their happy reunion. However, their smiles faded the moment they looked around to see all the damage that had accumulated during the invasion. Once a safe place from his foe, destroyed within moments.
"What a mess." Said Moshimo as he sighed at the destruction around him. Nora and the gang turned around, looking at each other, feeling guilty over what had transpired.
"Moshimo, please forgive us. We had no idea that this would occur during our visit." Said Nora as she lowered her head.
"Yeah, if we were more careful then Kamikazi wouldn't have found your home. We're sorry." Said Jenny.
"Do not worry, my friends. I do not blame you for what has happened here. If anything, I must thank you for bringing my son back to me." Said Moshimo as he looked back to see Robot-boy slowly walking towards him. Moshimo smiled as he knelt down in front of him and asked "Do you know who I am?"
Robot-boy turned his head to Jenny, she gave him a smile and nodded. He turned back to Moshimo and slowly said "Mo…shi…mo?" Hearing his words, Moshimo teared up slightly, feeling happy knowing that his son remembered him. Robot-boy tilted his head in confusion and gently wiped Moshimo's tear.
"What… this?... Tear?" said Robot-boy as the tear gently slipped down his hand and landed on the ground. Moshimo slowly shook his head and wiped the tears from his eyes.
"No, Robot-boy. They're tears of joy; I am glad you remember me." said Moshimo.
"Joy?" Robot-boy smiled upon hearing the word and slowly raised his arms to offer a Moshimo a hug. Moshimo was taken aback by what he was seeing, barely a day since he had been activated, he already understood what joy and hugs were. Feeling overjoyed, Moshimo picked up Robot-boy and gave him a big hug.
"Hug… nice." Said Robot-boy to which Moshimo nodded to his words. The rest of the gang teared up at the scene, like a family reuniting after a long time even though it had only been half a day.
"So, Doc, will Robot-boy stay with you?" asked Tuck.
"No, this little adventure has taught me something important. Robot-boy has a lot to learn and I think the perfect person to teach him is you, Jenny." Said Moshimo.
"Me?" said Jenny as she pointed at herself.
"Yes. The honest truth is, I am too old to teach Robot-boy anything. I created him with the intention of learning what it means to be a true boy. However, I always worried about all the difficulties he would face along this journey." Explained Moshimo as he rubbed Robot-boys head.
"I originally wanted him to go to a dear friend of mine but I think my heart will feel calmer knowing that he is with you. So, will you please accept this selfish old man's request, Jenny?" asked Moshimo as he turned to Jenny who blushed at the request.
"W-well… I-I mean I-I don't mind, it's Robot-boy who needs to make that decision after all since he is the one who…" said Jenny nervously as the idea of being Robot-boy made her feel happy but before she could finish, Robot-boy hovered to Jenny's head and gave her a peck on her cheek.
Brad and Tuck had their mouths hanging low while Nora and Miu Miu covered their mouths in surprise. Moshimo couldn't believe what he had just done but he could easily deduce who taught him. Robot-boy gave Jenny a cute smile while she was turning red from what had just happened.
"Robot-boy… like Jenny." Said Robot-boy with a smile.

(A/N: I know I introduced Wakanda and Vibranium into this story but it wasn't so that I could have the Avengers. It was because I wanted to make Robot-boy slightly stronger in this story. I watched the episode "Up a tree" and you know your protagonist is weak when a tree Robot built by children can easily cause him to crack. Not to mention, there have been other instances where he can be simply picked apart like a toy.
I suppose everyone is supposed to have weaknesses but that just felt like it was too much, especially for a super powered robot. And so, I decided to take inspiration from other strong robots such as Ultron and Vision. Once again, not with the intention of bringing any other characters into this story but to make this Robot-boy slightly stronger.
