Arc 2
Chapter 11
A New Start
Alright, my cute little students. Now that Regna Ferox is behind us and we've finally gained the last member to our happy little team, as a show of camaraderie to our newest member, how about we have ourselves a little group bonding exercise! It's really simple. Just start by giving our names, likes, dislikes, hobbies, and dreams for the future. Easy, right? I'll kick things off! Ehem! My name is Naruto Uzumaki. I like Ramen, but hate the time it takes to cook Ramen. My hobbies include being a public servant to the ungrateful, kicking ass, and making money. My one and only dream is to strangle a Goddess before finally going into forever sleep. So! Now that you know me, next will beeeee... ah! You there! The blonde conveniently sitting next to me!"
"Right! My name is Morgan Uzumaki and I also like Ramen, but dislike sharing my Ramen! I also like justice and flashy killer moves, and I hate when people interrupt me during my flashy killer moves! My dream is to one day be as great as my Dad and also strangle whatever Goddess he's talking about!"
"What a very ambitious young lady! If I were your dad, I'd be very proud of you!"
"But you are my Dad!"
"Okay! Princess, you're up!"
"...My name is Lucina Lowell. I like my family and... dislike, needless loss of life, be it noble or necessary. My hobbies are... training, I suppose. And my dream is to change the future and save my loved ones."
"Wow, another ambitious young lady! I'm sure many kids look up to you!"
"Kinda boring if you ask me."
*WACK*
"OW!"
"Ok! Raven, you're up! Now that you know us, help us get to know a bit about you!"
The albino gawked at the man across from her who had casually smacked his younger counterpart in the same time it took for her to blink. She didn't know what was more impressive, the speed of that monster, or the fact his younger counterpart didn't seem to have suffered a concussion from the multiple abuses she'd witnessed to her cranium.
"Uh, it's, Robin." She first attempted to correct.
"That's what I said, Raven. Now, likes, dislikes, hobbies and dream, please. We don't have all day."
Robin's expressions dropped before turning to 'Marth'.
"He always this," Robin reached for a word, but couldn't exactly find one to describe the man.
"Insufferable? Yes." The bluenette replied, facing forward with eyes that assured she'd played this song and dance so many times that she'd already gotten used to the rhythm. "Just go with it. I've long since learned that it's a lot easier to just humor him. Saves time and sanity."
The albino stared at the bluenette for a moment before turning her attention back to the shinobi. The smile he still gave her made her think the word 'insufferable' fit like a glove.
"...My, name is Robin. Robin Basterbine. I like books, and I guess I dislike losing. My hobbies include reading, uh, texts, on tactics... My dream is, well, to be free to live my life without worry."
"A one track mind! Kinda boring, but-" The blonde effortlessly caught the hand aimed to the back of his head, followed by catching another to his face with a hand Robin could have sworn the man no longer had. "I think you'll make a great addition to the teYEEEEOOOOOOOCH! WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT BITING ME YOU LITTLE SHIT!"
Lucina and Robin spectated the two blonde's dispute in silence. What turned into biting quickly evolved into hair pulling and choke holds as the people in the pub began looking their way in both amusement and annoyance.
"Your order!"
In the same time it took one to blink, the blonde duo ceased their skirmish to sit upright as their food was placed before them. Mouths immediately began to salivate at the aroma emitting from the platter of different meats and vegetables.
Thankfully, the rest of their meal was enjoyed in silence.
Well, as silent as the group could be while stuffing their faces—which includes the bluenette whose cheeks were filled with nearly everything on her plate as if it would be taken from her at any moment. And here Robin was beginning to believe the 'princess' was the 'normal' one of the group.
After filling their stomachs, the group found themselves walking down the streets of a port town East of Ylisse—yes, Ylisse. Don't ask. One moment they were being chased, and the next they were no longer in Regna Ferox. That was the extent of her knowledge.
Of course, like any normal person would do, she questioned the impossibility. The problem was, Lucina didn't know, Naruto knew, but wouldn't tell, and Morgan followed in her father's footsteps. Done and done. Not like she wanted to know anyway...
"So, what's our next move, Princess?"
Speaking of the devil.
Robin looked to said princess, hoping to also get insight on what exactly their next move would be.
"Truthfully, I do not know. I know of events that will be the catalyst for the war, but the text only mentions a dispute with Plegian soldiers and a noble's daughter in Themis. Unfortunately, the text does not give mention to the House's name, likely shielding the family from any undeserved retaliation from the masses. All I know is it is going to happen, and soon at that."
"Wait!" Robin interrupted, quite vehemently. "The war'll be starting? So soon?"
"Yes," Lucina states plainly. "In a month's time, Gangrel will kickstart the Ylisse and Plegian War. Not a day later, Exalt Emmeryn will be assassinated in Castle Ylisse. With the current flow of events, it is all but a certainty."
Robin's face grows pale at the admission. As the words began to sink in, a horrifying realization overtook her.
"I must return! Chrom - no, the Shepherds need me!"
"Pardon me for saying this, but I do not believe your presence would make much of a difference, Ms Robin." Lucina attempts to placate.
"And how are you certain? For all we know, your interference with the timeline has already thrown events down a different path. "
"I know this to be true because the Shepherds did not meet the Robin Basterbine of my time till after Aunt Emmeryn's assassination." The revelation gave Robin pause. Suddenly, the blondes of the group became very attentive. "I do not know what event transpired for you to meet the Shepherds prematurely, but even without your help, the Shepherds achieved great feats even before your leadership. It wasn't until the start of the war that the Shepherds found true adversity and loss. The Robin of my time would later aid my Father in a skirmish at the border, which led to Ylisse's first major victory in the war. So far, aside from our appearance, we have done nothing to interfere with Plegia's direction. As long as that remains certain, events should stay on the path."
Finishing her lesson, Lucina allowed her words to sink in with the tactician. When the woman still seemed to battle with her thoughts, the bluenette allowed a reassuring smile to show.
"It is admirable that you wish to protect the Shepherds, but I ask that you put faith in their strength, as well as ours. I swear on my name to do my utmost to ensure the future does not come to pass."
"Can't we just go to this Themis place and wait for something to happen? Not like we have anything better to do till then." Morgan piped in.
"We can, and we will." Lucina answered. "However, Themis is no small territory. We could travel around the land by horse and still have half a day's travel to reach the end. On foot, it would take a fortnight. I also do not believe splitting our numbers in any fashion to be sound."
"Couldn't we utilize their cloning ability?" Robin suggested. "If we place enough of them around the perimeter, wouldn't we have a wider scope?"
"You crazy, lady?" Morgan suddenly yelled, seemingly affronted at the suggestion. "You're asking me to put my clones on watch duty? Something I myself don't even want to do? Wait, scratch that. Even if I DID want to do it, you're asking me to keep MULTIPLE clones active for God knows how long till they FINALLY find a freaking ARMY? I don't know if you know this or not, but everything our clones experience transfers back to us! That means if they are tired and useless when they pop, we'll be tired and useless when we get back their chakra! WORSE depending on how many pop! You might as well put a big flashing sign over our heads saying 'vulnerable' and 'useless' 'cause that's exactly what we'll be!"
"...Wow," was all Robin could say at the girl's exuberance. "I, did not realize there was such a drawback to your abilities."
Morgan let out a 'hmph' before crossing her arms condescendingly and said, "Well, now you know. Next time, maybe you'll be more considerate when asking for cruel and unreasonable labor."
"Getting back to the topic at hand," Lucina cut in, not wishing to get carried away in their usual banter, "Even if we were to split our forces, one of us would still be confronting insurmountable odds."
"Ouch, Princess. If I didn't know any better, it almost sounds like you don't believe I can defend Themis by myself." Naruto commented, getting a incredulous stare from everyone present.
"None of us here bear any illusions that you could possibly take on this entire continent yourself with your bare hands."
Naruto feigns bashfulness at the perceived praise. "Aaaawww stop it, Princess! Flattery will get you everywhere!"
"It's not a matter of if you can do it or not. If you solved all our problems simply by killing everyone, then we'd be in an endless cycle of murder. Our goal is to fix the future, not make it worse."
"Not to be that girl, but how exactly could we make our future any worse than it already was? I would think the extinction of the human race would be as bad as it could get."
Morgan received a slight glare for the comment.
"Living a life of constant war and strife is arguably just as bad as our extinction. If there is a chance to stop as much meaningless bloodshed as possible, then I will take it."
Naruto raised a brow. "That's admirable and all, Princess, but I think you're forgetting that this is war. Regardless of who's right or wrong, there's still going to be bloodshed. No way around it. And I get that you're being considered and have morals, but I think you should worry more about your own people than the ones trying to kill them."
Lucina stared defiantly back at her teacher. "Plegia may not be my home, but they are still people. People who are currently suffering under the rule of a King who only cares for his self-interest and a cult that regularly sacrifices it's people for a God that would sooner see them all burn than grant false promises. Not only that, but my line is directly responsible for their rapid decline, so forgive me if I feel responsible for their suffering."
The man went to respond, but for once, he found himself not having anything to say. There were flaws in her statement, but not the kind that he could poke at without personally feeling like the villain. Yet again, she had struck him speechless.
"I think my respect for you just grew a bit, Princess." He said, Morgan and Robin giving their own form of praise as well.
It, surprisingly, made the bluenette somewhat hot under the collar.
"I-if you understand, then we should make haste to Themis immediately. We can speak with the lords there and hopefully-" Lucina paused as something ahead caught her eye. Noticing the sudden change, the party turned their attention to the direction. Nothing appeared to be out of place in the town.
Upon looking further out pass the shore, it became quite obvious what the bluenette had spotted.
"Wasn't the sky clear a moment ago?" Morgan asked, getting a head nod from all three. "And is it me, or are those clouds moving a little fast?" Three widened eyes were her confirmation.
Within seconds, the storm cloud that had appeared over the coast was upon the town. Everyone that had been walking suddenly stopped to join the party of four in staring at the anomaly before a very familiar scene played out to the four.
A clock-shaped magic circle rotated in the air while multiple white lights began compounding into one giant ball in the center before the ball of light flattened and the crease in the space began to open. Panicked cries began to spread as the opening of the circle seemed to make the Earth around them shake. Lightning began striking nearby structures, people quickly making their way to any cover they could find from Mother Nature's wrath. From what Naruto through his enhanced vision, silhouettes began forming in the eyes in the dozens, yet knew they were obviously too far from shore to make it to land. Lucina was already drawing her blade while Robin and Morgan were turning to direct the people.
Then it vanished.
The eye, the storm, the lightning.
Poof.
Gone; like it was never there.
The town's people looked around in confusion, wondering for a moment if it was all just some kind of hoax. When minutes passed with no signs of danger, people began coming out of their place of hiding before surveying the damage caused by the freak storm, talk of what had just occurred spreading over the usual chatter and sales pitch.
Meanwhile, still frozen in the center of the street, the party of four stared at where the warp gate had just been with open mouths.
"What, in Naga's name just happened?" Robin voiced, still in disbelief.
"I'm, not sure." Lucina responded. "That was definitely the same gate I came through. Someone, or something is meant to come through there, but-"
"Someone dispelled it."
The three turned to the voice. Naruto was looking to the coast with eyes that clearly painted his bafflement. "Something out there, towards the ocean, dispelled it like. I'm not entirely sure what, but something powerful, even more than that of the gate, dispelled it like it was nothing."
The revelation shocked them. The thought of someone being able to completely overpower a spell withholding power on the level of Gods was enough to bring fear into even the mightiest of warriors. If there was something out there, and close at that, that could so easily dispel that level of power like it was nothing, then they weren't so sure they wanted to meet such a being.
"Hey, guys," the party turned to their default leader. None of them liked the foxlike grin that appeared on his face. "I think we should-"
"No," Lucina stated plainly.
"But I haven't even-"
"We know what you're going to say, and we want no part of it, Dad." Morgan piped in, her fellow females nodding in agreement. A pout, an honest to God's pout, appeared on the shinobi's face.
"Killjoys."
"Help!" The cry of a woman pulled their attention to a disheveled woman frantically pleading for anyone's attention. "Someone, please help! Some men just took my daughters to sea!"
The grin Naruto turned to his fellow comrades with made them pale.
"And that, my dear students, is fate calling our names."
...
Arriving at the shore, the team was greeted with chaos. Men scrambled about closing sails, stalls, and carrying boxes of cargo out of sight. Stopping one to speak even for a moment proved to be an effort in futility. All they were able to gather was 'Ya didn't see da damn storm' from a particularly unfriendly fellow before he rushed off to places unknown. With how things were currently going, the chances of them going to sea were looking slim to none.
Naruto was about to use this opportunity for a lesson when Morgan spotted the solution to their problems.
A vessel, a compact caravan from the looks of it, did not have men closing sails or carrying crates, but a lone figure. A lone, redheaded, jester-wearing figure currently raising anchor. Lucina and Robin were already regretting their interaction before they'd even approached.
Robin was quick to grab the redhead's attention with a shout of 'excuse me'. The redhead turned in their direction, and they were greeted with the plastic smile of an Anna.
"Oh dear, I think you're a little late for shopping, huns! This merchant is closed for the day!" Anna spoke, her tone as fake as the smile she wore.
"We're not really here to buy anything," was Robin's rebuttal, and they could almost feel the redhead immediately lose any interest in them. "We were actually wondering if we could-"
"Sorry, hun, but time is money. And if you're not here to buy anything, then I'm afraid this is where our discussion ends. You're always free to purchase anything next time I'm in town! Tata!" Dismissing the group, Anna went back to preparing her ship for sail, leaving a gaping tactician in her wake.
"We're not here to buy, but to ask for passage on your vessel." Lucina tried in the wake of her comrade's initial failure.
"Sorry, huns, but this vessel is for merchandise, coin, and Anna at all times. It's policy, you see." The woman replied, not halting in her preparations.
"Please, this is of the utmost importance. Two children were taken out to sea not 30 minutes ago. Have you at least seen anything? Maybe a vessel that left in haste?"
"Children, you say?" For a moment, the Anna looked curious, giving the time traveler hope. It was instantly snuffed away by a shrug. "Nope. Haven't seen none round here. But I did see a Dhow heading East not too long ago. However, even if we were to leave now, there's only one Island out that way, and I'd sooner poke a Wyvern with a stick than traverse that graveyard."
"All the more reason we ask for your assistance. I know we are asking a lot, but it is of the utmost importance that we catch them before they arrive at their destination." Lucina pleaded. Instead of relenting, Anna's expression turned uncaring.
"Forgive me for saying, but I don't see how any of that is my problem. If mom didn't want little Susie and Marianne to get snatched, then she probably should have kept three eyes and a dagger on them at all times."
Lucina looked agasp, thrown off at the heartlessness the redhead showed. It was to be expected from the redhead, seeing as she often heard rumors of their greed and careless attitude towards anything that wasn't gold, yet she never thought the day would come when she had to witness it upfront. It made her angry, yet baffled in equal measure. "H-how can you be so-"
"Now now, Princess," Naruto interrupted with an arm around the bluenettes shoulder before she could rightfully release her fury. "There's no reason to yell at the nice lady if you're trying to get a favor, right?"
Lucina looked to her teacher, actually feeling hurt at him seemingly coming to the merchant's defense. "But she-"
"Yes, Anna is a very busy lady and doesn't have time to drop her schedule to go out on a whim for a bunch of strangers. On top of that, you're asking for help from a woman who only has ears and eyes for anything gold and silver. If you really want her help, them you have to speak her language, no?" Lucina looked from the blonde to the redhead that had forsaken them to unfurl her flags. Even the thought of stooping to the woman's level sickened her. Yet, of she wanted to save those kids...
Nodding in grim acceptance, her teacher gave her a smile that said everything would be OK before taking his chance with the merchant who was now ready to set sail.
"I think we got off on the wrong foot here," he called out, getting the now annoyed merchant to look back at him. "You see, when we were asking for help, we didn't mean it would be for free."
Like a switch, the chance to gain coin got Anna interested enough to pause in her ministrations to listen. However, she wouldn't be a good businesswoman if she allowed negotiations to be so easy. "Ah, a gentleman who knows how to speak an Anna's language! But alas, I still must refuse. As I've said before, this vessel is for-"
"10,000." Anna choked on air. "Five now and Five upon arrival. Sound like a deal?" Anna looked on the verge of having an aneurysm. On one hand, her blood was screaming that she take the offer, no real harm present in their adventure. However, if it was that island that those ruffians were going to...
"S-sorry, but not even money will get me to-"
"20,000. Same as before. Ten now, ten upon arrival."
'Tw-twenty thousand?! For a simple passage?' Anna thought, her blood fighting with the consequences of her actions if she were to give in. "I-I'm sorry, hun, but money really isn't an-"
"20,000 up front, 30,000 upon arrival, and you only have to take us half way. I'll even throw in an extra 10k along with whatever bounty the kidnappers may have on their heads if you bring us back."
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN ABOARD THE ANNA EXPRESS! PLEASE REMEMBER TO KEEP YOUR HANDS AND FEET INSIDE THE BOAT AT ALL TIMES! ANNA WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ITEMS, CHILDREN, OR LIVES LOST ON OUR JOURNEY! LASTLY, MAKE SURE YOUR PAYMENT IS PREPARED BEFORE ARRIVAL, AND REMEMBER, ANNA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO THROW YOU OVERBOARD AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT! THANK YOU FOR JOINING US ON THE ANNA EXPRESS AND HOPE YOU ALL HAVE AN ENJOYABLE RIDE!"
The party sat comfortably around the small caravan, Robin, Naruto and Lucina opting to sit right behind the 'Captain' while Morgan sat comfortably at the front on the bow. Despite the storm clouds in the sky, not a drop of rain pelted them even hours into their journey.
After enough time had passed and she was sure Anna could not hear, Lucina looked at her teacher with a searching expression. "Do you really have that kind of money?"
Naruto looked back at her with a shit-eating grin. "Princess, if you knew how much I made off my books worldwide, you'd question if you were really royalty."
Nothing else had to be said.
...
Lucina bore witness to the dazzling sight of the sky's multiple color changes. From cloudy, to starry, to sunny, to brilliant orange, and back to cloudy until they finally arrived at their destination. It had taken them only a day at full speed to reach 3/4 of the way to the island; more than what they had bargained for, but none of them were complaining.
In the distance, an island came into view. The island wasn't 'big' per se. In fact, only about 100 people could live on it while about a forth of them would have houses.
Unfortunately, in order for that to happen, they would first have to demolish the giant structure that looked eerily like a mansion from a distance. If the way lightning constantly flashed over the island wasn't a sign of impending doom, then the numerous ship parts scattered around the island definitely were.
"Whelp, as part of the agreement, this is as far as I go!" Anna said chipperly, Lucina swearing she felt smugness in her tone.
"Ah, I guess it is." Far from being worried, Naruto stretched before reaching into his pouch. A sack of jingling coins was pulled out and Anna's eyes immediately turned to Gald. Placing the pouch in her hands, the blonde walked to the edge of the ship to peer out towards the island.
"Uh, I'm glad we're here, but how exactly do you plan to get us to the island?" Robin questioned when none of her fellow members seemed worried on their way here.
Placing his hands comfortably in his pockets, he turned to the albino and said, "Oh, Raven. I thought you'd have trust in me by now."
Then he leaned back and fell overboard.
Robin, and even Anna, gasped at the action and immediately scrambled to the edge; Lucina following in a measured pace behind them. Peering over the edge, they expected to see ripples where the blonde inevitably disappeared under.
They were greeted not with ripplings, but a blonde-blondes, smiling back up at them, dry, and... standing? Uzumaki Naruto and Morgan grinned up at the trio as if they knew a secret they didn't.
"I think they're shocked at our awesomeness, dear Father." Morgan bragged.
"Why, I think they are, dear daughter." Naruto followed up.
"B-but how?" Anna whispered, completely at a loss for words at the impossibility in front of her. Instead of answering the redhead, Naruto turned to the bluenette looking down at them with far less surprise than her white and red counterparts.
"New lesson, Princess: Water Walking. Similar to the tree walking exercise in theory, but not in execution. Instead of using your chakra to stick to a surface, you're using it to float above one. Think you can-"
*SPLASH*
Naruto stopped (or was forced to) upon the bluenette suddenly hopping of the boat to casually join them on their feat of 'impossibility'. Standing tall, Lucina looked to her teacher, the first hint of smugness he'd ever seen from the girl appearing as a smirk.
"Doesn't seem all that difficult."
"B-but how?" Naruto asked, his mouth nearly touching the water.
"I'm a fast learner."
He would have liked to rebuke that, but considering she'd learned an exercise that took him an entire week to learn in less than three days, then applied that same technique to learn another even faster, he had no reason to refute her confidence.
"Hmph! Show off..." They all heard Morgan huff under her breath. Turning away from the smug princess, Naruto looked up to the last of their group and outstretched his arms.
"Alright, Raven. I know you can't be as awesome as us, so I'll carry you the rest of the way." The blonde said. Robin glared in turn, but moved to comply. Giving one last 'thanks' to the Anna, Robin hopped over the edge and landed safely within the blonde's arms.
"Last one there's a rotten Gnome!" Morgan suddenly exclaimed before taking off at speeds that trumped the Anna even on her best day.
Hey, you brat! I'm carrying extra baggage here!"
"I-I'm not heavIAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
Naruto followed his shorter counterpart, Robin's high pitched squeals fading the further they traveled. Not feeling the need to compete, Lucina bowed one more time to the redhead for her help before following behind the blondes at equal speed.
Anna watched the party of four vanish before she could even get a word out. Slowly, she sank to her knees, despair filling her as she grabbed a handful of red locks.
"Gods, o-oh Gods. Mama Annabelle is really gonna kill me this time..."
Omake:
Training Day 2
Modern Problems Require Modern Solutions
"Today's exercise is quite simple. I think you guys are really gonna enjoy this one." Naruto spoke happily to his awaiting students.
Lucina and Morgan highly doubted the claim. Not only had he dragged them out into the elements of Regna Ferox, but he'd brought them to the middle of nowhere. If they didn't know the man, they'd be sure he brought them here so no one could witness whatever torture methods the man had come up with this time.
"Today we'll be playing a game of tag. I'll be 'it', and all you have to do to win is run. Run as far, and as fast as you can until supper. If I 'tag' you within the time limit, then it's my win. If I fail, then it's your win, and I'll think about going easy on you in our next session. To make it fair, I won't even use chakra."
"...What's the catch?" Morgan asked, her suspicion as palpable as that of her fellow time-traveler.
"Ah, I'm glad you asked!" The blonde said happily; too happily. Reaching behind him, the blonde's only hand reemerged, holding an object that was black and obviously metal. Shaped like an L, he pointed it in their direction and-
*BANG*
Lucina ducked low with a hand on her sword immediately, while Morgan lay on the ground in the fetal position with arms over her head. It took moments before Lucina finally realized where the canon had come from. The front of the metal object her teacher held was smoking, the blonde now sporting a shit-eating grin.
"This here, is my tag-team partner, Smith and Wesson." He said while caressing the object lovingly against his face. "I keep this baby on me whenever, if ever, I'm out of chakra. A nice way of ensuring that even if I'm out of chakra, I'm never out of options. Since I've also only got one hand at the moment, there are two of you, and I'm not using chakra, I thought it would only be fair if I had a tool to use to compensate my 'shortcomings'."
The object was held to the air once more.
*BANG*
Once again, the horrid sound made the duo flinch. Moments later, something fell from the trees to land in front of them. Something with wings and was twitching uncontrollably.
"...Huh, I was aiming for the squirrel... Oh well. At least we'll have dinner tonight."
"TH-TH-THAT'S A GUN! YOU'VE GOT A GUN! HOW IS THAT EVEN REMOTELY FAIR?" Morgan snapped, pointing at the offending item hysterically.
"There's nothing to worry about, Shrimp." The man responded with a closed eyed smile. "I've replaced the real rounds with rubber bullets. They may not penetrate, but they'll surely hurt like hell... Oh, and this will be the only thing I'll be 'tagging' you with."
The duo paled.
"So, what do ya say? Excited for another day of training?"
Naruto wasn't surprised he didn't receive an answer. He wasn't even surprised when his eyes opened to find neither of his students in the clearing. A tear came to his eye when he felt his little ankle biters almost half a mile away.
"They're so eager to learn, Kurama."
"Once again, you are evil, brat."
"I've learned from the best, partner."
A/N: Fun fact, thieves have the ability to walk on water in the game. No BS. In fact, there are a lot of skills in Fire Emblem that mirror ninjutsu techniques and you bes' believe I'll be using them in future chapters.
With this chapter, we are now in the second arc of the story, which also means we are a third of the way through the story. This arc focuses mainly on recruitment and pre-war preparations and battle. This arc is also where cannon leaves the window, specifically right after Themis. I also said that this chapter would come out in August and that I was taking a break. Well, I lied. Got such a great response from the last chapter (a lot of which were from Guest for some reason) that it motivated me to get another one out. Although, this is by far the shortest chapter I've written. This will also be the case for the future. Chapters that are about six will be from now on.
Next chapter is the introduction of three characters. Two characters you will know instantly, while the last delves into a lore that has haunted all Fire Emblem veterans since their first game.
Next Chapter: I ain't afraid of no Ghost?
