Chapter Two

" So that's the tour of the school," Danny said as he showed Nikki around the school. It turns out that he had to show Nikki around the school and help her find her classes. He didn't mind as he did sign up to be a student greater.

" Impressive," Nikki says as she is surprised about the campus.

She couldn't believe that the school was this nice. She honestly thought this would be this boring obnoxious school that expected perfection. It turns out that the school was pretty laid back as it only expected you to do well in school and follow the rules from what she's hearing.

" So, what's your schedule like," The scared boy asked Nikki as she pulled out her schedule and handed it to him.

" Huh, Looks like you have the same schedule as me," Danny said. He soon hands back the paper.

" Lucky me," Nikki said, as she figured she could follow the boy instead of running around to find the classes. Soon they left for the first class of the day.

" Anyways, we should probably head to class as the bell's about to ring in three minutes," Danny said as the girl agreed. Nikki soon followed the boy as

Time skip: Three hours later.

Nikki hummed as she walked beside Danny, who raised an eyebrow at her. She was surprised by the first four classes as it was pretty fun. Her favorite was English, as Mr. Penns was a laid-back guy who brought humor to the subject. All the other teachers she met were very welcoming and made her want to pay attention in class.

" You're in a good mood," The raven head said as she nodded.

" To be honest, I thought this place would suck. Now I'm pretty happy about this school, even if you have to wear this stupid uniform," The purple-haired girl said. Danny chuckled as he saw the girl practically skipping.

They headed to lunch and talked about themselves as they found out they had a lot of things in common. They found out they both liked rock music and wanted to become writers. Nikki wanted to become a traveling journalist because she never got to travel to places as a kid. She wanted to travel the world and tell people about it. Danny wanted to become an author as he writes stories that give people stories to escape reality. It wasn't until Mr. Penns pulled him aside from class last year and asked him if he wanted his short story published. Danny then realized that he had a gift for writing and decided to make a career out of it.

They were about to talk more when a blonde came running towards them, screaming Danny's name at the top of his lungs. He wore the same clothes as Danny, with a zip-up hoodie instead of a blazer. He had his combed back as it needed trimming. He wore glasses in front of his green eyes.

" Hey, Kevin," Danny said as he watched the boy try to catch his breath.

" I need... a favor... could you...let me...sleep at...your...house...Saturday," The boy whizzed as he looked at Danny with pleading eyes.

" Sure, let me ask my parents," Danny says as Kevin notices Nikki.

" Hey, your that new girl in history class," The blonde states as Nikki nods.

" Yep, that's me," the girl states.

" I'm Kevin Deeds, by the way," The green-eyed boy said as the girl sighed.

" Nikki," the new prep school girl said. Kevin then turned to Danny about their plans for after school.

" Hey, are we still going to Nasty Burger after school," the blonde asked as he got a concerned look from the woman.

" What the hell is Nasty Burger?" Nikki asked as the two remembered the girl didn't know the teen hotspots yet. The two realize that they have a lot to show her.

Time skip: Five hours later.

" Those were the best burgers I ever had," Nikki said as she walked into her house.

After school, Danny and Kevin decided to take Nikki with them to get burgers since she had never been there. After eating there for an hour, Kevin had to leave as the trio decided to head out. She was pretty surprised at how much she enjoyed school today, as she usually found school boring. Nikki hummed while opening the door to her room and tossed her book bag onto her chair. She soon dialed Jen and told the girl about her day as Jen told her about everyone else.

After a while, she decided to call Jonesy, only to get his voicemail, and sighed when she sighed, thinking he was probably busy. After a few moments, she decided to start her homework. Still, she smiled as she thought about Danny.

With Danny

Danny sat on his couch as he was figuring out what to do. He is home alone as his parents were out on a date and won't be home for hours. Jazz is out with her boyfriend. He was supposed to hang out with Kevin but had to cover someone's shift at the last minute. He sighed as he didn't want to text Nikki knowing is probably getting used to things.

Danny decides to get some takeout as he places an order at a local Irish restaurant. After a quick phone call, Danny was about to leave when he heard a loud crash in the basement. He instantly went downstairs only to find something he didn't expect.

Jack wasn't working on fixing the ghost portal as Danny destroyed the most overlooked parts. No matter how much the scientist works on it, he will never get it working. So Jack did the only thing he could.

" He's building another one," Danny says as he stares at what's left of the old portal and the blueprints for the new one.
