(The villagers, Gobber, and Stoick pull a damaged ship up to the dock at Berk. Toothless and Hiccup stand to the side.)
"I think this one is where dad got his first dragon to ride." Hiccup said
"Skull Crusher?" Eret said talking the first time since he was enjoying the show
"No that's three later." Hiccup said
Hiccup (v.o.): Here on Berk, we've always done things one way: the Viking Way. Since the dragons came, the Viking Way has become, well, the Hard Way. Unfortunately some people, like my father, still refuse to change.
"My father didn't choose to change he thought the Viking Way was still easier then the dragon way but I showed him the dragon way helped his chief work easier." Hiccup said
Gobber: It's that rogue dragon again. That's the second boat this week he's destroyed.
Stoick: Well, we lost another whole catch. We could have saved it if we'd gotten there sooner.
"Yeah by dragon, boats are so slow." Gobber said
Hiccup: Well, I know how you could have gotten there sooner.
Stoick: Here we go again.
"How many times did you tell him Hiccup?" Mala asked
"Every time a boat got destroyed." Hiccup said
Hiccup: If you'd flown there on a dragon you could have been there in five minutes instead of two hours. And you might even have been able to chase that rogue dragon away for good.
Stoick: As the chief of Berk, I do things the Viking Way. Not the Dragon Way.
"I wonder how many things he missed on Berk while doing the Viking Way and not the Dragon way?" Heather asked
Hiccup: Well, the Viking way is costing us a lot of fish and almost as many boats.
Gobber: The boy's got a point. If you were on a dragon you could protect this island from a lot of things. Even Alvin.
"Stoick riding on a dragon, I would bet if I see Stoick riding a dragon then I'll eat something disgusting while doing the break." Alvin said
"Didn't you already see my father ride Skull Crusher?" Hiccup asked
"No I wanted to see him when he had his first dragon not his second." Alvin said
"Okay Alvin you got yourself a deal." Hiccup said as they both shook each others hands
"(Please post ideas on what disgusting things Alvin should drink or eat.)" Gary thought to the viewers who was reading or watching this
Hiccup: Right! You-You could use a dragon to--
Stoick: You're right Gobber. Alvin knows we have dragons. He'll be back.
Gobber: You saw what those dragons did. They had Alvin on the run. Imagine if you were the one commanding them.
Stoick: I'm listening.
"Listen to the dragon expert who knows what dragons to ride not the other dragon expert who is fixing their teeth." Mala said
Hiccup: (To himself) But clearly not to me.
Gobber: I can see it know. A proud chief ruling his domain above aboard a fearsome fire-breathing reptile. Ooooh, it gives me goosebumps.
"Well it did make my father complete his workload faster when he got his first dragon." Hiccup said
Hiccup: That's what I've been trying to--
Stoick: Gobber's right.
Stoick: I need to learn to fly. When do we start the lessons?
Hiccup: I don't know, shouldn't we ask Gobber?
"Really Hiccup." Heather said
"What they weren't listening to me so yeah." Hiccup said
Gobber: Eh, I don't really have a preference, but sooner is always better. Don'tcha think?
(Scene changes to the cliff just in front of the Academy. Hiccup is showing his father Toothless' saddle controls.)
Hiccup: Alright, I've made a new stirrup so you'll be able to control Toothless.
Stoick: You hear that? It's me that's supposed to be controlling you.
"Damn your father is really eager to ride a dragon." Mala said
"You should see what he was like the first time." Hiccup said
Hiccup: Whoa, whoa, Dad, uh, before you get on a dragon you've got to show him he can trust you.
Stoick: He already trusts me. I'm his chief!
"Oh Stoick that's not how the dragon leadership works." Valka said as she smiled while shaking her head
Hiccup: Uh, it's very simple. Just give me your hand.
Stoick: I didn't come here to hold hands, Hiccup.
Hiccup: It's okay, bud.
Hiccup: You feel that? (Stoick has his hand on Toothless' muzzle)
Stoick: (Pulls hand away) Yeah. Still dry and scaly.
"Not all dragons have dry and scaly scales, some have smooth scales that are wet." Valka said
Hiccup: That's not what I meant.
Stoick: Can I get on him now?
Stoick: Alright, let's get on with this madness. (Hiccup and Stoick mount Toothless)
Hiccup: We'll start out nice and slowly. Just give him a little nudge when you wanna-- (Stoick kicks Toothless in the side and the trio zooms into the air)
Hiccup: I SAID NUDGE!
Stoick: That was my nudge!
"That looked like a kick then a nudge to me." Atali said
Hiccup: Just remember, the tail controls everything.
Stoick: I know that.
Hiccup: Then why are you heading for that rock?!
Stoick: Because you're distracting me!
Hiccup: Just let out the--
Stoick: TAIL! I KNOW! (Flying irratically all over the sky)
Hiccup: Left! LEFT! No, no, the other left!
Stoick: Dragon's fault.
Hiccup: You gonna blame that on the dragon too, Dad?
Stoick: Yep.
Hiccup: SLOW DOWN!
Stoick: I'm trying!
Stoick: See?
Hiccup: Actually, no. No, I had my eyes closed!
Hiccup: You're coming in too hard! Open the tail! With your foot!
Stoick: I'm opening the tail!
Hiccup: That's my leg, Dad! (They crash onto a beach)
"Whoa that is the worst flying I have ever seen, you know Hiccup you can forfeit the bet, you father can be pretty stubborn." Alvin said as he smiled
"Sorry Al, but I'm not giving up that easily." Hiccup said as he smiled
Hiccup: I am so sorry.
Hiccup: Dad, wait. Where are you going?
Stoick: Nah, I'm done with this, Hiccup! I've got a village to look after.
"I have never seen Stoick give up this easily, he normally keeps trying I guess he even has his limits." Valka said
Stoick: I'll need a ride home.
Stoick: (Back in the air with Hiccup on the pedal) This isn't the way home.
Hiccup: Just sit back and enjoy the ride! We are taking the scenic route!
Stoick: Right now my lunch is taking the scenic route into my throat!
Hiccup: Dad, just think about how much easier your chiefing can be on the back of a dragon.
Stoick: Well, I prefer to be down on the-- Wait. What's going on over there? (Sees a bunch of yaks on their sides in a field)
Stoick: Some genius has been yak-tipping again. (Toothless blows up a cart and they see the twins hiding there)
Tuffnut: Be quiet. Maybe they don't see us.
"You two idiots know that they can see you." Dagur said
"What a bunch of morons." Alvin said
Stoick: Make that geniuses. (yells at the Twins) I want every one those yaks back on its feet!
Hiccup: Nice chiefing, Dad! Let's see what else we can get done today!
Hiccup: (Comes across wild boars eating up a cabbage patch) Toothless, fire!
Stoick: Fire again, dragon.
Hiccup: Dad, the boars are gone.
Stoick: Who cares? I like the sound it makes.
"Of course he does." Alvin said
Hiccup: Take us up, bud. There's something else I want you to see. (Takes them up above the clouds for a bird's eye view of Berk)
Stoick: Whoa. I've spent my entire life on Berk. Climbed its hills, explored its forests, swam its waters. I've traveled every inch, but I never thought I'd see it like this.
"I always wanted to do that with Stoick after we reunited, go on a beautiful date on the back of out dragons above the clouds where we see the stars but I guess it won't happen since Drago killed him." Valka said which made Alvin gasped
"You not talking about Drago bludvist the mad man who destroyed the guild hall where every Viking tribe chief were having a meeting and the only person to survive was Stoick." Alvin said as Valka nodded her head
"I'm sorry for your loss then Valka." Alvin said
In the private screening room Stoick heard what Valka and Alvin said as tears fell out of his eyes
"Oh Valka I wish I took you on a moonlit flight together but my time got cut short by drago." Stoick said as he wiped tears away from his eyes
Hiccup: It's beautiful, isn't it?
Stoick: No, it's more than that Hiccup. Look at them. All of my people. Everyone is safe. It's a good feeling.
"That's what I feel everytime I see the village hard at work well except for the tons who like to cause more work for people then helping." Hiccup said
(The next morning, Hiccup wakes up to find that Toothless is not there in the room with him.)
Hiccup: Toothless? Toothless? (Exits the house) DAD?!
(Stoick is riding Toothless erratically all over the village)
"He still can't control Toothless not fly." Alvin said as he smiled seeing he could win the bet
"We had to repair those roofs after what Stoick did." Gobber said
Astrid: Was that--?
Fishlegs: Unexpected? Disturbing?
Astrid: Yep.
Hiccup: Uh, Dad, what are you doing?
Stoick: Kicking butt and taking names, that's what!
Hiccup: Uh, on Toothless?
Stoick: Oh, we've been all over Berk. Chiefing has never been so easy.
"I'm glad I made Dads job easier with the help of a dragon that for once he finished early instead of late." Hiccup said
Hiccup: Yeah, but Dad, uh, Toothless is my dragon.
Stoick: You picked a good one. Just came in to grab my hatchet. We're helping Jorgenson break down a fence.
"I thought Stoick and Spitelout had a rivalry going on since I see those two button heads together and arguing all the time." Heather said
"It's just brotherly love, I'm sure you and Dagur do it as well?" Spitelout asked
"No I did that last time and let me just say Heather is scary when angry is worse than when Mala gets angry." Dagur said
"Someone has to keep your deranged self back to earth." Mala said
Hiccup Yeah, that's, that's great, but you need to understand that Toothless is--
Stoick: Oh, you're right. I don't need my hatchet. Toothless can just blow that fence down with a fireball. Ha-ha! Up, dragon.
"That's what I didn't mean dad." Hiccup said
Hiccup: Don't worry, bud. I can fix this.
Hiccup: So, see ya there, Toothless. I really hope...
(Stoick flies away on Toothless again. Later, Stoick continues completing duties flying on Toothless. They scare a group of Boars into a barn in the village.)
"He's getting them done faster than he did without a dragon." Valka said
Viking: Thank you, Stoick! Stoick: Well done! (Stoick and Toothless stop a few barrels rolling down the village hill) Viking: Thank you, Stoick! (Stoick tells Toothless to blast the sea, throwing fish into the air which he then catches) Stoick: Come on, Toothless, faster! Stoick: Attaboy! (It is evening now and Stoick lands Toothless at home, while Hiccup and Astrid look on from the steps of the Great Hall) Stoick: Same time tomorrow, Toothless? Hiccup: You see that? That's what it looks like to be ridden all day by a four-hundred-pound man.
"You know your fathers weight very well." Mala said
"That's because he's always cracking at his weight all the time." Gobber said
Astrid: At least you got your Dad on a dragon. Hiccup: Yeah, now I just need to figure out how to get him off one. Astrid: Why don't you just give him the ol' "Honey and The Hatchet"? Astrid: You know, you tell him something he wants to hear, that's the "Honey" part, before you hit him in the head with something he doesn't. You know, "The Hatchet". Hiccup: Why does your advice always involve weapons?
"My advice doesn't always involve weapons, I use other means." Astrid said
"Yeah like kissing Hiccup with your lips. Heather said with a smile
(The next morning at the Haddock House)
Stoick: Toothless? Toothless?
Stoick: Where's Toothless?
Hiccup: Ah, I don't know, but you... Look great, Dad! What is it? Are you, d-did you do something with your beard?
Stoick: Alright, you've given me the honey, now just give me the hatchet.
"Damn your father knew what you were doing." Throk said
Hiccup: Look, Dad, you can't just keep taking Toothless. He's mine.
Stoick: Alright. That seems fair. So, find me one.
Hiccup: Uh, sorry?
Stoick: Find me a dragon as good as Toothless. That shouldn't be so hard for the Head of the Berk Dragon Training Academy.
(Scene changes to the Arena later in the day with the Dragon Riders and their dragons assembled)
Hiccup: The finest dragon species on the island. They're all represented at this Academy.
"You barely found any other dragons you just used the ones your friends have." Gary said
Snotlout: (Showcasing Hookfang) But the Monstrous Nightmare is the only one with the brawn and prestige for men of our stature. Hop on board. Feel the Monstrous Nightmare difference. And on those cold winter nights, its whole body heats up. Just enough to keep you cozy. Lemme warm him up for you. (Snotlout flicks Hookfang on the nose, and, irritated, Hookfang heats up too much, searing Stoick's rear end)
"You just had to cook my fathers arse didn't you." Hiccup said
Stoick: Daaahhh!!
Snotlout: Now should I put you down for one? They come in an assortment of colors.
Astrid: (Astrid talks about Deadly Nadders) Since she's beautiful, people think she's not tough. But you should never underestimate me. Uh, her--uh, us.
"Were talking about yourself or the Deadly Nadder Astrid, because I have a feeling you were talking about yourself in front of your future father in law." Heather said
"You know Astrid you're not just beautiful you're also hot and sexy." Hiccup whispered in Astrid which made Astrid bite her lip as she was getting turned on at what Hiccup said
"When break comes I need you to pound me very hard so I can't walk any more." Astrid whispered
"I can think of other ways to make you full into bliss after sex." Hiccup said as he started to rub Astrids thigh
Stoick: Well, she is a beauty. (Pats Stormfly firmly on the nose)
Astrid: Be careful with the--! (Alarmed, Stormfly shoots spikes at Stoick)
Snotlout: Monstrous Nightmare's looking a little better now, huh, Chief?
Stoick: Next! (Looks at the Twins and Barf and Belch squabbling amongst themselves)
Stoick: Next!
Fishlegs: (Talking up the Gronckle) Lemme tell you, what you're really looking for is loyalty. A dragon who will be there for you no matter what. The last face you see at night and the first face you see in the morning. Warming your bed when it's cold outside, a shoulder to cry on when the world has turned its back on you. How could you not love a Gronckle?
Stoick: Sorry, son. But I'm looking for a dragon. Not a mother.
"He ain't wrong about your dragon being a mother to your Fishface." Snotlout said
"Yeah, at least my dragon doesn't burn me all the time." Fishlegs said
Stoick: I haven't seen anything that can hold a candle to a Night Fury.
Hiccup: Me neither! But Toothless is the only Night Fury on Berk. And he's mine.
"That's because Grimmel hunted every Night Fury to extinction it took me 6 years to finally find another bred of Night Fury." Hiccup said
Gobber: (Runs into the Arena) Stoick! Another boat is being attacked! It's the rogue dragon again.
Stoick: Let's go! (Both Stoick and Hiccup step up on Toothless at the same time)
Hiccup: Oh, right... What was I thinking? (concedes to Stoick)
Hiccup: At least he blocks the wind...
"The one good thing about my father was, due to my small size I could hide behind my father when there was any strong wind." Hiccup said
(The scene changes to Mulch and Bucket on a fishing boat at sea being attacked by a Thunderdrum.)
Hiccup: I don't believe it. A Thunderdrum! They say it gets its power from Thor himself.
Stoick: Fire a warning shot. Let him know we mean business.
Hiccup: Toothless! Plasma blast!
Hiccup: I think we scared him off, but we've got to get everyone out of here.
Stoick: Come on, lads! We'll escort you back to shore. You'll have no more--gahh! (gets yanked off the boat into the water by the Thunderdrum's tail)
Bucket: No more what?!
Hiccup: Dad!
"Whoa the Thunderdrum sure dropped the surprise on Stoick." Alvin said
Mulch: Uh, Stoick can swim, right? Stoick: (Stoick and the dragon emerge from the water onto the boat, fighting) Oh, he's a fighter! He's got spunk! This is the one, Hiccup! I've found my dragon! Now all you have to do is train him for me. (At the Training Arena, the Thunderdrum is caged with a muzzle on)
"Really you two put a muzzle on the dragon." Valka said
"That wasn't my idea, it was my fathers he said something along the lines if I'm going to train this dragon then I need to muzzle it's mouth so it doesn't bite my hand off. Hiccup said as he mimic Stoicks voice
Hiccup: (To the Thunderdrum) Sorry about the muzzle.
Stoick: Alright, let's get me on his back. Times a-wastin'.
Hiccup: Now we just got to get one in his size.
"Were you talking about getting a Muzzle for your father or a saddle for the Thunderdrum?" Mala asked
"Um, both." Hiccup said
Stoick: What was that?
Hiccup: Nothing.
Hiccup: Look. You have to approach him properly, Dad. Especially a dragon like this. He is one of the most powerful dragons I've ever seen.
Stoick: That's why I picked him. They say his roar gets its power from Thor himself! He's the God of Thunder, you know.
Hiccup: So I've heard. Still. You have to let the dragon know you're a friend.
Stoick: A friend, huh? Oh! Like me and Gobber?
Hiccup: Yeah, perfect! What did you do when you two met?
Stoick: "That's my wife you're talking to, you one-legged lout!"
"I remember that day, Gobber was drunk when he flirted at me until Stoick came over and pulled him away and that's when they started to fight then after the fight they became friends after that." Valka said
"You Vikings are werid, in my world if someone fight it doesn't end with them becoming friends it always ends with someone going to the healers or to jail." Gary said
Hiccup: Not exactly the approach I had in mind. Dad, what's real important is that you let him know that he can trust you. You have to make eye contact.
Stoick: Uh-huh. Sure.
Hiccup: (Opens the cage door) Stay calm. Be gentle. And you'll know you've formed a bond when he bows his head to let you climb on his back.
(Stoick puts a hand on the Thunderdrum's snout. The dragon snaps at his hand. Angered, Stoick punches him.)
Hiccup: Hey, hey! Whoa! What happened to trust?
Stoick: Talk to him! He's the one who tried to take off my hand!
"I guess the dragon has a grudge on Stoick or it had someone to look after since it was raiding fish boats." Valka said
(The Thunderdrum charges Stoick and he grabs him by the tail and jumps on his back)
Hiccup: Would you stop it, Dad? This is not bonding.
Stoick: Ah! You got to show these beasts who's boss!
Stoick: Look at that, I'm on his back! Any questions? (The Thunderdrum flies around the Arena then out the exit, trying to dislodge Stoick)
Hiccup: Oh, too many to ask.
Stoick: Wah-ho! Easy! Don't you know who I am?
"Um No, I don't think dragons care about human titles." Atali said
'(Later Hiccup is commiserating with Gobber, while Gobber is removing a tooth from a Gronckle)
Hiccup: I talk to him, but my dad just doesn't listen! It's like I'm wasting my breath.
Gobber: I got it!
Hiccup: Thank you. At least somebody understands me...
Gobber: (pulls out a bad tooth) I meant this. Nasty.
Gobber: Now what were you saying?
Hiccup: Ugh! My father!
Gobber: Right! Stoick.
Gobber: Let me explain something about fathers and sons. It's a father's job to listen to his son without ever letting on that he's heard a word.
Stoick: Hiccup!
Hiccup: Dad, what happened?
Stoick: Ah, the beast threw me off and flew off to Thor-knows-where.
Hiccup: Well, can you blame him? All you ever did was fight him!
Stoick: Dah! He loved it!
Hiccup: Yeah, apparently not.
Stoick: We can stand here arguing, or we can go get my dragon.
(Late in the day, Stoick assembles the Riders to look for the Thunderdrum. Stoick and Hiccup are both riding Toothless)
"How is Toothless still in the air flying with a heavy load on his back?" Gary asked
Stoick: Alright! We have to fan out and cover every part of the island!
Hiccup: Ruffnut and Tuffnut, you take--
Stoick: You take the West side!
Tuffnut: You got it, Chief.
Hiccup: Can anybody even see me back here?!
Stoick: WEST SIDE!
Stoick: Snotlout, to the North side!
Astrid: Come on, Fishlegs. We'll take the East side.
Fishlegs: But-but it's allergy season.
Astrid: Fishlegs!
Fishlegs: Not me. It's her.
Stoick: Well, your friends sure are an odd bunch, but they sure know what they're doing on those dragons.
Hiccup: Thank you. I think...
Hiccup: Okay, when we find the dragon you might wanna think about approaching him...differently. Obviously he doesn't like being pushed around so--
Stoick: There he is! (spots the Thunderdrum near a cave in the forest)
Hiccup: And, once again, not a word goes through...
(Stoick, Hiccup, and Toothless land. The still-muzzled Thunderdrum charges from the cave)
Hiccup: (Speaking to Toothless) Settle down, bud.
Stoick: Let me handle this.
Stoick: This dragon's mine.
Hiccup: Dad!
Stoick: (Hammer poised for a comfrontation, Stoick notices another Thunderdrum deeper in the cave) There's another Thunderdrum in there.
Hiccup: He's hurt.
Stoick: Well, he-he's protecting his friend. That's why he's been taking all those fish. Go get the others. And tell Gobber to get ready.
Hiccup: Dad, I can't just leave you here!
Stoick: Go!
(Hiccup and Toothless fly away)
Stoick: Looks like it's just you and me, big fella.
Stoick: I want to help, trust me.
(Out of the forest appears a huge group of wild boars approaching the cave)
Stoick: Ah, they smell the blood of your wounded friend.
"Boars must be pretty stubborn to attack a couple of dragons that can blast them away with a sonic attack." Gary said
What I'm seeing is Stoick is protecting a dragon he saw his life to killing." Valka said
(The boars attack and Stoick fights them off. On jumps on Stoick and the Thunderdrum whacks him off. More boars approach. Stoick holds his hand out to the Thunderdrum and they bond. Together they fight off the ravaging boars)
Stoick: Aww look at us! We're bonded!
Hiccup: (Hiccup and Toothless return) What. Happened?
Stoick: Ah, we battled a few boars, did a little bonding.
Hiccup: You?
"I was at a loss for words when he said that." Hiccup said
Stoick: Of course! There's something you should know about dragons. It's all about trust.
Hiccup: So you actually heard that?
Stoick: Yes. I just said it. I listen.
(Back at the village, Stoick on the Thunderdrum, help lower the injured Thunderdrum down to Gobber for healing)
Stoick: Take good care of him. He's a friend. (They fly off to complete chiefly chores)
Hiccup (v.o.): My dad still does things the Viking Way. Fortunately, Toothless and I showed him that the Viking Way can also be the Dragon Way.
"Looks like I won the bet Alvin it seems like you have to drink or eat something disgusting." Hiccup said
"Okay fine what am I having?" Alvin asked
"I don't know just yet, but you'll see soon enough." Hiccup said
"It's time for a break since you guys have been sitting for too long." Gary said
Please write down what disgusting things Alvin should eat or drink
