Chapter Six:

A Desperate YouTuber Exposed

In a dark, metal room full of advanced tech, Toads sat at computer desks, working as Roblox sound effects emitted from the speakers. Lights flashed and Toads hummed as they worked, the environment was ominous and almost chilling, especially with Frankie giggling as he whipped a Toad into working more.

"I'm the Beta..." Frankie said in a sing-song voice, "SMG4's the Alpha, you're the Gamma, Zeta and Omega, and you work for the alpha and beta."

SMG4 himself then appeared on the massive monitor atop the wall overlooking the hard-working Toads, many of whom were Princess Peach's servants. A microphone buzzed into activation and the Toads listened as SMG4 spoke, plainly and clearly.

"You all know your jobs; you know why you are here!" He said, "We work for views, subscribers and, most important, good quality. YouTube is one of many avenues for fame, to show the world your talents and what you can do. I dream of content for the masses, to be recognized by many! Keep working hard, my underlings!"

"Yes, boss." The Toads replied.

SMG4 stepped forward onto a platform, smiling at the prospect of getting more views and subscribers. A Toad handed him a graph and SMG4 watched as the view count began to rise in the millions, the overall-clad meme man smiled with glee. If he had still looked like Mario, his mustache probably would have engorged a little.

And just then, just as the count reached the top, it plummeted down, much to his great surprise. No, he could not lose more subscribers. And if ANYONE found out what he was doing here, he was in massive trouble.

In the Internet Graveyard, SMG3 was doing another gameplay live-stream. This time, he was playing through the new Shrek Online that had come out weeks ago. This one was quite special, especially since SMG4 had promoted it once while at a phone store.

Just as he was partaking in a fishing segment of the game, SMG3's eyes widened as a tingling sensation coursed through his body.

"My meme guardian senses are tingling." He remarked.

He tuned in to his senses, wondering what was going on. And then, his eyes got wider. Someone was in trouble, someone he knew. Was another eldritch monster attacking the Mushroom Kingdom and...

'Oh no! No, no, no!'

'SMG4, what are you doing?'

Action had to be taken and fast! SMG3 left his computer, even as the live-stream continued playing. However, he didn't turn off the game and Shrek fell into the water when a big fish bit, costing the ogre a life and a red text appeared on screen saying 'You Died'.

But SMG3 did not have the time for this, he had to take care of a crisis now. He found a Camera Lakkitu and then summoned a portal, which led him to the Mushroom Kingdom right to Peach's Castle.

Man, oh man, this one was going to be quite interesting. SMG3 told the camera to start shooting, they were going to make a special video.

The Internet Graveyard's ruler headed to the Secret Slide Room, then he looked at the camera and had a title appear on-screen: 'EXPOSED.'

"Welcome to 'Exposed'..." SMG3 announced, "...where we expose the world's worst content creators."

As the camera continued rolling, the meme guardian tapped a button and a wall opened up, revealing the way into a secret room. It had to be some kind of portal, especially as there was no room in Peach's Castle for anything like that.

But either way, SMG3 and his cameraman entered the room, spotting SMG4 whipping a Toad as a pair of others were working on computers.

"Make better content, ya damn Toads!" SMG4 shouted.

He then turned to see SMG3 and Lakkitu, who all stared at him with disbelief. The meme man smiled sheepishly, thinking of a way to save his skin.

"Um, we're playing Fortnite together?" He quipped.

SMG4's excuse wasn't good enough; he'd been caught and exposed. And across the Mushroom Kingdom, people were in shock as to what they saw. Princess Peach was outraged by this and screamed at SMG4 when she confronted him, greatly scaring the meme man.

Even the likes of Bob and the Wario Bros were laughing at his misfortune, it was going to be hard for SMG4 to bounce back after this...
