Chapter Seven:

Getting Back Up with Help from A Special Friend

One dark night, SMG4 lay in a corner of his room, sobbing and hugging himself.

He'd just finished watching the new video about SMG3's exposure of him, followed by his cancellation and almost everyone's opinions on him now. The meme man had messed up, he'd gone too far, and now his future was... uncertain as it always was mysterious.

Now, it seemed that his fellow meme guardian would be the one more popular than him at this point. He could see so many of his fans asking for SMG3's autograph, just how could this get any worse?

In the aftermath of what had happened, not only did Peach scream at him, she'd given him a whooping with her umbrella, and the Wario Bros came by to laugh at him.

Even some Nintendo lawyers called to reprimand the meme man for mistreating the Toads, at least he didn't have to deal with the likes of Lawyer Kong again after what happened leading up to SMG4's regeneration.

SMG4 whimpered in the dark, huddled up in the corner of the room. And just then the door opened, followed by footsteps coming his way. SMG4 turned around, his heart pounding slowly with immense pain.

"Who... who is it?" He asked.

He looked up, his eyes slowly widening as he saw SMG3 looking down on him. The former villain offered his hand in a kind manner. "Time to get back on your feet..." He said, then he muttered, "Scrub."

SMG4 took SMG3's hand with shock, ignoring the part that the latter had just uttered. "Wha-?" He remarked, "But you just exposed me and got me cancelled. I lost almost everything, even though admittedly it is partially my fault because, well, y'know."

SMG3 chuckled, "I only exposed you so you can stop damaging yourself online."

"HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE? I'M CANCELLED, MAN! CANCELLED!"

"Pfft, please..." SMG4's ex-nemesis quipped, "YouTubers get cancelled all the time and bounce back in the end. The Internet moves so fast, everyone's going to forget by the time they see what what I have planned."

"What do you have planned?" SMG4 asked.

He found out the next morning when SMG3 arrived with his Lakitu cameraman and brought in a bunch of toys, filling the room with all sorts of equipment, which included a Mr. Potato Head figure for some strange reason.

SMG4 was curious as to what was going on and how this connected to SMG3's plan, they were going to be making some videos together, weren't they?

"We're going to make you some spicy quality content." SMG3 announced.

SMG4's face lit up, this sounded perfect, and he'd previously cared about quality before he lost his way and started doing the very thing that SMG3 exposed him doing, leading to his current situation in the very first place.

And this was where the fun began, they had so much material to use and there was so much content for SMG4 to make with all of that. Heck, after wanting to collab with Mr. Yeast, he didn't think he was going to be doing a collab with SMG3.

But then again, after working to save the whole of creation from Niles and burying the hatchet, anything was in the realm of possibility. For starters, SMG3 filmed SMG4 holding a manga declaring that never lost before doing a strange backflip that hurt his back, even for a brief time.

They then moved on to playing with dolls, which Lakitu filmed, just before the door opened. The guys turned, spotting Meggy. She'd come to talk with SMG4 about... something, but after seeing what she saw, she closed the door and backed away, weirded out by the sight of the two ex-enemies playing with dolls.

She would talk to SMG4 later, for right now, she had classes to do and exercises to take care of.

After playing with dolls, SMG3 then had SMG4 conduct a strange ritual with Beeg SMG4. Luckily, it wasn't a full-on demon ritual where they would summon a sinister entity into the world.

They called it a GF ritual with SMG4 hoping he'd get a girlfriend, even though Beeg SMG4 exploded in his face, inciting laughter from SMG3 and Lakitu.

Many minutes of video-making later, SMG4 and SMG3 were just about finished, but the latter was a bit unsatisfied with how it was going to end and had it change to a Mr. Beast parody with SMG4 posing like him and Mr. Yeast while a voice yelled "MISTER BEEEEEEEEEAAAAAST" and nearly knocked out their eardrums.

Regardless, SMG4 high-fived SMG3 with a grin. The video was...

"Perfect." SMG4 said, "Let's UPLOAD!"

Everyone faced hard times, but no matter how much life knocked them over, everyone always got back up no matter what. SMG4 recalled years ago that Meggy was told to get back up no matter how many times life knocked her down, no matter what. And she did, which helped her achieve her dream that she'd long pursued.

SMG4 had been knocked down before, but he'd always found a way to come back. Now he'd been knocked down again, and with help from an old enemy, he would get back up despite the odds and it was happening right now as the two meme guardians pressed the upload button.

In seconds, SMG4 and SMG3's newest (and interestingly, very funny) video was downloaded to YouTube, showing SMG4's failed backflip, now played in reverse and on-loop, the dolls they played with, various hand-drawn animations and the Mister Beast parody with SMG4 as the voice blared out until the ending screen popped up.

Both meme guardians watched, wondering how the fans would react. And then, the Like ratio began to climb in the hundreds and then the thousands and the millions within minutes as more people watched and commented while the dislikes grew in the tens and the hundreds.

SMG4 looked at his YouTube channel and his eyes lit up, seeing he wasn't cancelled anymore, and he saw the subscriber count climbing again. He was getting ALL of his followers back, all thanks to his collaboration with SMG3 and working hard to make something special no matter what it looked like.

And it didn't have to be a playthrough of a video game done by a Toad with glasses named Frankie...
