Enuma couldn't help but feel a bit nostalgic about watching the latest batch of soon-to-be first years enter the Great Hall and be sorted into the House that fit their personalities. Despite the fact that she was in the same shoes last year. And while the Red Duchess was watching the newcomers with interest, trying to spot the two people of interest her Peerage had informed her about, namely the Lycan Shalltear mentioned having sensed and the Phantom-Ship Hermione had been receiving radio transmissions from, the Kaga, her Queen had her gaze locked on the fraud that had somehow gotten himself the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts-teacher this year. Gilderoy Lockhart. More specifically, the Bloody Valkyrie was glaring at him and wanted to kill him (and possibly use his corpse as a toy to scratch a certain itch… in a dark cell in the dungeons behind a locked door). While she hadn't said it, everyone in the Peerage knew full-well (much to their reluctance and disgust) what Shalltear would do with Lockhart if/when she killed the leech. The irony of the fact that she actually called him a leech, a (relatively) mild insult amongst Vampires (roughly being an equivalent to calling someone a pathetic weakling), wasn't lost to her.
Over at the Gryffindor-table where the Demon-Ship and Beast Tamer, who were sitting next to each other, were located, Hermione was staring at Aura in disbelief, who had somehow managed to smuggle in Manny into the Great Hall and was petting him under the table. All without anyone noticing the Frost-Boar piglet. In other words, Aura wasn't paying attention to the rest of the school, had summoned Manny under the table and was simply playing with him in order to keep herself from being bored. Shaking her head in a fond (and slightly exasperated) manner at the Beast Tamer's antics, Hermione sent a look towards the Ravenclaw-table and rather quickly spotted Mare… reading a book. Or rather, more accurately, continue reading a book. The second part of the trilogy of books where he and Aura took their last name from to be more specific, which he had been reading for quite some time, including but not limited to on the train ride to Hogwarts.
Eventually the sorting started properly and amongst the many names that were called out, three of them caught the attention of the Devils. The first one being the rather athletic (for an eleven year old) redhead by the name of Lupusregina Beowolf, who was sorted into the house of Gryffindor and took a seat near the Devils in the house of the brave, not right next to them but still close. The second one was the girl with short white hair and Asian facial features by the name of Luna Lovegood, who was sorted into the house of Ravenclaw and took a seat next to Mare, who was still reading his book until the white haired girl bumped into him (seemingly) by accident, causing the Nature Mage to look up and put down his bookmark (which was a pressed flower), before putting his book away and start paying attention to the sorting. The third and last one to catch the Devils' attention, or at least Enuma, Hermione and Shalltear's attention, was a ginger by the name of Ginerva Weasley, Ronald Weasley's little sister apparently (which was the only reason why she even caught the Devils' attention in the first place, they knew/knew of her big brothers), who ended up joining him in the house of the brave, Gryffindor.
