Chapter Forty Three:

Saying that Hermione (and her fellow Devils) were surprised by the Demon-Ship receiving a sudden radio transmission after two whole weeks of nothing was quite the understatement. Especially when the transmission was clearly an SOS. Like the previous transmissions, this one consisted of a series of one to two word-sentences but unlike the previous ones, the sender wasn't even bothering with any of the theatrics the previous transmissions had. The message was clear. The Phantom-Ship sending the message was locked up in a broom-closet down in the dungeons. Bound in conjured ropes and gagged… without clothes and was freezing her butt off. The last part was something that made Enuma visually angry. While Hermione had her suspicions about why her King appeared to be particularly upset regarding the last part of the message, she didn't say anything seeing as she hadn't earned enough of her King's trust to know anything really significant, namely anything from Enuma's life before the redhead became a Gremory.

Once the Devils met up outside the Potions-classroom, they began their search for the bound and gagged Phantom-Ship, keeping their ears and noses open for the scent of salt water and any sound of distress. And after a few minutes of searching, they found the broom-closet where the Phantom-Ship was located. More specifically, Shalltear found it, and proceeded to first try simply unlocking the door with magic, but once that failed, the Bloody Valkyrie tried a different approach to get the door open. And different was definitely one way to put it as the Vampire summoned and equipped the crimson armored gauntlets of her signature suit of armor on her hands, before delivering a pair of quick strikes on the stones in the wall that the hinges of the door were attached to, smashing the stones to bits. Considering that she wasn't exactly quiet (not that she was trying to), it didn't take long for the rest of the Devils to converge on Shalltear's location. And when Shalltear quite effortlessly grabbed and threw the door away, almost everyone was greeted by a sight that made their blood boil with fury, the only exception being Mare who, while still angry, was trying to avoid looking at the girl who's modesty was only protected by the ropes keeping her bound.

"You hold the power of the Kaga, don't you, Luna Lovegood?" Asked Enuma as she removed the gag from the white haired girl's mouth.

"I do. Thanks for coming to my rescue." Replied Luna in a surprisingly calm manner. "I wish that the ones who left me here didn't destroy my clothes though, it's quite cold down here."

"Do I assume correctly that you can instantly summon and equip an outfit with a thought, much like Hermione here?"

"Yes. Mind getting rid of the ropes so I can put it on, King of Heroes?"

"Huh?"

"You hold the treasury of the original bearer of the title, which means that you inherit his title along with his treasury."

"Oh. Hmm… King of Heroes. Enuma Gremory… King of Heroes. I like how that sounds." Muttered Enuma to herself as she opened a ripple and grabbed the handle of the treasure coming out of the Gate of Babylon. The treasure in question was revealed to be a ritual dagger of some kind with a roughly lightning bolt-shaped blade and considering that it was one of Gilgamesh's many treasures, it wasn't just any dagger. "Try not to move. I don't want to see what happens if I accidentally cut you."

"Considering what dagger of legend that one in particular is… I won't move, but could you maybe hurry up? I can't feel my buttocks anymore and I want to put some clothes on." Enuma only needed to cut the ropes in one spot before all of them faded from existence.

"That was… interesting. Note to self, the Rule Breaker can destroy conjured objects if cut."

"Yeah yeah, now… could I get some privacy?"

"Is there even a point to that at this point? Most of us here are girls and the only guy here is currently finding a nearby wall very interesting."

"*sigh* you're not wrong." Muttered Luna as she rose to her feet while two clusters of cube-shaped particles exploded from the white haired girl and enveloped her naked form, covering the entire broom-closet in azure light.

When the light died down, the white haired girl was revealed to be wearing a white overcoat with azure patterns that was worn open. Due to how the overcoat was worn, the black colored top and blue colored mini skirt worn underneath the overcoat was visible. Luna's Phantom-garb, as Hermione occasionally called her own summonable outfit, included a pair of Japanese-styled sandals that, much like Hermione's own shoes of her Phantom-garb, had features similar to a battle-ship and a pair of white tights that ended just below her knees. But the most surprising things weren't even clothes at all but a pair of snow white fox-ears on the top of Luna's head and a total of nine equally white fox-tails sprouting from her tailbone.

"Ahh. Much better. You have no idea how uncomfortable the school robes are in comparison to this." Stated Luna as the white haired girl did some stretching, causing quite a few joints to pop. Which made sense considering that she hadn't been able to move for quite a while.

"Or as stylish." Replied Enuma with a thoughtful look.

"Thank you. But something tells me that you would prefer to look at something more western… and militaristic."

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Uh huh."

"And what is that supposed to mean!?"

"Oh nothing."

"Humph."

"Anyway, I'd gladly join your Peerage."

"Not that I mind, but I want to know why. Why join the Peerage of a Devil and why would you join mine specifically?"

"I'm not just a Phantom-Ship, I'm a Seer as well. I can see backwards, forward and sideways in time."

"Okay? I understand the first two, but how does seeing time sideways work?"

"There's more than one timeline and reality. For instance, in one reality, you're not a girl but a guy and not the wielder of the Gate of Babylon, in fact, Sacred Gears and the larger Supernatural World don't exist in that reality. In another, you're not the King of your own Peerage, but the Queen of someone else's. The possibilities are endless and interesting to observe in one's spare time. In fact, a different version of you might be watching this conversation from beyond this reality."

"Now that's a discomforting thought. Anyway, I no longer have a reason to not reincarnate you into my Peerage. Shall we proceed with the reincarnation, Luna Lovegood?"

"Yes."
