Many students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry were of the opinion that Enuma Gremory and her circle of friends were an odd bunch. And it wasn't just because of the fact that they belonged to different houses and years but also that they all had their quirks and unusual pets. Enuma's pet was a spider roughly the size of a soccer ball. Shalltear had an unusually colored bat. Hermione had a cat(?) that was radiating a gentle warmth akin to a campfire. Aura had some kind of puffy piglet as a pet and her twin brother had a freaking cactus that could move on its own. And the as-of-yesterday most recent addition to that group, Luna Lovegood, was no exception. The white haired girl had a creature that strongly resembled a dog. More specifically a Welsh corgi with a tail shaped like a lightning bolt, which the white haired girl had affectionately named Jolt, most likely because of the corgi-like creature's ability to generate electricity at varying levels of voltage as it (or rather he) ran around, usually excitedly, something that the students who locked the white haired girl inside the broom-closet found out the hard way when Jolt zapped them in retaliation for bullying his owner. To say that Professor Flitwick, the Charms professor and head of the Ravenclaw-house, was upset about the fact some of his students were bullying one of their own was quite the understatement. He was furious, but also happy that his student had managed to gain such wonderful friends.
The school had the understanding that it wasn't easy to gain Enuma Gremory's trust, let alone friendship. But once it was earned, one wouldn't just have a friend, but a companion and comrade who would probably fight through Hell itself for someone who had earned the redhead's companionship. A true companion for life. And if someone would somehow manage to do the seemingly impossible and win the redhead's heart, they would most likely be the luckiest person ever. But if they broke that heart… they're screwed (and not in the good way) if not straight up dead meat. The redhead was apparently also something of a history- and mythology buff, with a particular interest in World War II and various myths and legends with various weapons in them, based on overheard conversations between the redhead and her friends. Some of the weapons that were mentioned were ones that were quite well known, such as the Balmung (the great sword belonging to Siegfried the Dragon Slayer of Norse Mythology), while others were more obscure, like something called the Rule Breaker.
In other news, a Howler addressed to the male Weasleys arrived with the mail, in which the matriarch of the family gave her sons quite the tongue lashing because they did something stupid, again.
