Chapter Fifty Two:

After months of searching for answers, the Demon-Ships' research finally bore fruit. They had discovered the species of the culprit behind their King's petrification. A Basilisk. Or rather, it's reflection as looking it directly in the eyes wouldn't have merely petrified Enuma and the other victims, but straight up killed them. The problem was that while they knew what was responsible for the petrifications, the Devils didn't have the slightest idea of where such a creature could be hiding in the castle of Hogwarts. That is until a disturbing message was found in one of the hallways.

The Chamber of Secrets had been opened. The entire school now knew where the culprit was hiding. The only remaining problem for the Devils to solve was finding the Chamber and killing the Basilisk. Something that was a tricky problem due to the fact that killing such a creature without looking at it, be it directly, indirectly or at all would be difficult to do, especially in an enclosed space.

While Shalltear had experience fighting opponents armed with Magical Eyes before, both natural ones and made ones, the most similar kind of Magical Eyes to the eyes of the Basilisk The Bloody Valkyrie had experience with were a pair of Magical Eyes referred to as Eyes of Decay, which triggered a form of medium-to-long ranged transmutation that caused whatever the holder of the Eyes was looking at to wither away until nothing but dust remained, with the victims usually dying very quick and painful deaths as their vital organs dried up and crumbled into dust while they were still alive. The fact that the Eyes had belonged to a human rather than a giant snake certainly didn't help.

While the non-petrified members of Enuma's Peerage were trying to come up with a plan to eliminate the threat to the school/their territory, the paperwork was still being sorted out but it was almost guaranteed that Enuma and her Peerage would become the official owners of the territory of and surrounding Hogwarts for the remaining duration of their education at the castle, that was the Basilisk, the Demon-Ships informed the others that they stumbled upon a radio frequency that seemed to belong to a Phantom-Ship by the name of CZ2128 Delta while simply browsing the radio waves, who the Demon-Ships had started chatting with. From what the Demon-Ships had managed to learn from CZ2128 Delta (who was given the nickname of Chizuto by Luna on the grounds that it was easier to say in conversation than the Phantom-Ship's full name, to which CZ2128 Delta agreed after attempting to say her full name a few times in quick succession) that she had been an experimental vessel equipped with various kinds experimental tech, which included a supersonic electromagnetic projectile launcher, (or in layman's terms) a rail gun, and something called an atmospheric manipulation device, a machine designed to manipulate the weather (as Chizuto explained it, even if the Phantom-Ship seemed annoyed that she had to 'dumb down' her explanation). At the end of the conversation between the Demon-Ships and the Phantom-Ship, Chizuto expressed an interest in actually meeting the Demon-Ships in person and possibly the rest of the Peerage, something that basically translated to the others that Hermione and Luna had found a potential recruit for the Peerage. It was ultimately up to Enuma and Chizuto whether or not the Phantom-Ship joined the Peerage, but it didn't stop the Devils from feeling excited about meeting the Phantom-Ship, who was probably originally affiliated with (or at least built by) a Spanish speaking country based on her accent.
