Isekai'd as the new French Miraculous Superhero Team.

Chapter 13: Timebreaker Crisis Averted.

(Quantic Universe Earth 19274729568301958374, Paris, France, September 18th, 2015, Chloe Bourgeois' POV...)

I was still feeling extremely annoyed and wrathful because Sabrina and myself had to deal with a last-minute meeting at school, during the weekend of all the worst times to have a last-minute meeting.

Yeah, apparently, even with some of the adjustments to the time stream and the status quo, some of the staff at Francoise Dupont High School are still in some and many ways in unison very incompetent at their jobs.

But even though I'm immune to Hawk Moth's powers, I can't risk him sending out an Akuma to target me, only for him to start getting suspicious about why I can't be Akumatized or get suspicious about what kinds of things I have that can help our team of heroes in this war, or potentially find someone other than Alix to Akumatize into a supervillain other than Timebreaker.

Ooh, I swear to Primus of Transformers, I'll get you for this, Gabi Grassette.

And for the lazy skeletons – my plural form for more than one group of lazy bones – that were responsible for this mess, I'm also going to report them to the school board for a purging.

Anyway, Sabrina and I were going to visit that new café that opened five blocks southeast of the Grand Paris specializing in healthy teas and healthier forms of coffee when Alix came up to us and asked us if we could come to the Trocadéro and watch her beat Kim in the race that'll determine whether or not Alix will give Kim her rollerblades or if Kim will stop his stupid, dangerous, and somewhat illegal dares for the rest of the school year.

This race was scheduled for two and a half hours later today, and in class earlier today, she described her race as, and I quote, "My birthday race against a #LOSER.#"

Kim had heard her and replied, "You're the one who's gonna lose!"

Alix's only response was flipping Kim off.

Sabrina had exclaimed in an aghast manner, "Alix! If anyone in the streets sees you doing that on school grounds or anywhere else in public, you'd be in serious trouble!"

I had no choice but to point out, "Sabrina, this is not the geezer era. And even in the geezer era, people started slowly inventing swear words even in sign language. And besides, not everyone reacts well to being scolded for using swear words."

Anyway, Sabrina and myself double-checked our schedules for today, and Alix was delighted to hear that our time slots in the next two and a half hours were free.

Alix replies, "Awesome! Both the class representative and the class deputy are going to watch me race Kim. This truly is the best birthday present you guys could ever give me."

Sabrina and I say in unison, "Happy Birthday, Alix." "Happy Birthday, Alix."

Now, technically, we had already said Happy Birthday to Alix on the class group chat earlier today, but it doesn't hurt to say it again.

Alix replies with a victorious smirk, "Thanks, girls."

I then questioned, "Aside from the race today, do you have anything meaningful planned?"

Alix answers, "Well, my old man's taking me out to eat at the Grand Paris hotel's restaurant in a few minutes, and he's gonna give me something he vows is something truly astonishing, but that's all I know for now. I wonder though, is he going to buy me some new skates? Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against my current set of skates, but there's nothing wrong with a new extra pair. Well, in any case, I gotta get going if I don't want to keep Dad waiting. So, see you in a few hours, girls!"

Sabrina and I waved goodbye before heading to the café that opened five blocks southeast of the Grand Paris.

(Dupain-Cheng bakery, third person POV...)

Marinette walks down the stairs of her bedroom and sees her mother putting a flower in her hair while looking at herself in the mirror, getting ready for her and Tom's anniversary lunch at the Grand Paris and wanting to look her best alongside her husband.

Sabine asks, "Well? With or without the flower?"

Marinette deadpans before saying, "Does it really matter? You look great either way, Mom."

Sabine replies, "You know, it's not every day you get to celebrate your 20th wedding anniversary."

Tom calls out from downstairs, "Marinette! Could you come down a minute, please?"

Marinette runs over to her father while being careful with the stairs.

Tom questions, "Well?"

Marinette answers, "You trimmed and groomed your mustache good enough, Dad. But you're still wearing your baking apron, and it's dirty."

Tom's eyes widened before he states, "Uh? Thanks, sweetie."

Tom runs off.

Marinette replies with a laugh, "Hahahahahahaha! No problem, Dad."

Later, Marinette then says, "Don't worry; I asked Fanette to deliver the banner and I'll be here waiting for Mrs. Chamack."

Tom replies, "Good, because she's going to be coming over to pick up her Eiffel Tower cake in 30 minutes. I'm counting on you, Marinette."

Marinette nods.

Tom and Sabine leave.

Marinette says to Tikki while taking mental note of Tikki frequently using her human form as a disguise and as a last resort in case Ladybug needs additional reinforcement, "Wowee, they've been married for 20 years, Tikki. That's remarkable, isn't it?"

Tikki replies, "Yes, time flies when you're having fun."

Marinette replies, "And time slows down whenever you wait for something to do after finishing your homework."

Tikki chuckles at that.

Marinette then contacts Master Fu over the commlink and she questions, "Lady Beetle Zero Eighter to Green Tortoise One Seventeen. Did everything go well?"

Master Fu/Jade Turtle replies before asking, "Affirmative. The second Rabbit Miraculous has been retrieved and replaced with the magicless counterfeit. Mr. Kubdel doesn't suspect a thing. What are you going to do?"

Marinette replies as she and Tikki walk upstairs while being thankful that the neighbors weren't home yet, "I'm going to give the first one to Alix as the last resort member of the French Miraculous Superhero Army while making sure to give her one hundred and fifty rules for using the Rabbit Miraculous. Then, we'll see about recruiting someone suitable for the second Rabbit Miraculous."

Master Fu replies back, "Understood. Good hunting. Over and out."

Meanwhile, at the Grand Paris restaurant, Tom and Sabine sit down to eat.

Tom notices Alix and he waves at her, with Sabine looking on.

Alix waves back before noticing her father's questioning look after he sees Tom waving at her.

Alix explains, "That's Mr. and Mrs. Dupain-Cheng, Marinette's parents. They gave us that Christmas yule log on Christmas Eve last year, remember?"

Alim replies, "Yes, I remember very clearly. They make the best baguettes in the whole city."

He notices Alix wearing one of her every day sneakers.

Alim questions, "Couldn't you have made more of an effort to dress nicely today?"

Alix replies while gesturing to her cap for added emphasis, "What do you mean? I took off my cap."

Alim replies back, "But this is a special day."

Alix asks, "How so? It's only a birthday."

Alim replies, "(Tsking five times) No, this is a special birthday. (He takes out the counterfeit Rabbit Miraculous) This family heirloom was made by one of our ancestors 5,000 years ago, by the name of Stefan Darwin Kubdel, in Ancient Egypt. It's been handed down from one generation of our family to the next one, to give to the youngest child on their fifteenth birthday. And today, it's your turn to inherit it."

Alix replies, "It's pretty sweet and thoughtful, Dad. But I already have a watch linked up to my smartphone."

Alim replies back, "But sometimes, there's more to anything than meets the eye. Like, for example, let's just say that Stefan was... (He opens the watch.) ahead of his time."

The counterfeit hologram projector lights up, showing a hologram of Alix as an adult holding a moderately big alarm clock.

Alix gasps in awe.

Alim closes the watch before it could reveal anything and states, "Of course, I'd understand if you want me to buy you a new pair of rollerblades as well."

Alix replies, "Well, that's a pretty good compromise if you ask me. But the watch, I'm stoked to have it. It's pretty amazing! Thank you!"

Alix's phone rings.

Alim questions, "Are your friends waiting?"

Alix replies, "Hhhaaa, yes, but I don't want to bail on you before dessert."

Alim replies back, "No, no, go on ahead. I'll bring the dessert home."

Alix stands up and grabs her cap.

Alim states, "Now, please take real good care of it."

Alix replies, "Yeah, got it."

Meanwhile, in Marinette's bedroom, she's experimenting with a temporary power removal serum that can easily remove the superpowers of Akumatized supervillains, normal supervillains, and other kinds of monsters alike temporarily and long enough to be defeated and outfitted with power-dampening handcuffs.

Marinette puts a burgundy reddish-orange substance in a fern/apple green vial, and the two liquids mix together without hassle.

Marinette remarks before cackling like a mad scientist, "People would call me crazy, but who's laughing now? MWAH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Tikki shivers as she states, "Marinette, please don't do a mad scientist laugh again; it reminds me of some of the horrors I went through with my previous owners as prisoners of our enemies."

Marinette raises an eyebrow before shrugging as she replies, "As you wish."

Marinette's phone vibrates.

Marinette picks up and says, "Hello? Alya, what is it? The what? The bet between Alix and Kim? No, I didn't forget; I'm having Fanette deliver the banner. What?! Do it myself?! Absolutely not! I'm waiting for a customer to pick up their cake order in the bakery. Sorry, Alya, but sometimes you gotta let people do the job right if you've already got your hands full. Oh, and don't bother calling me later to tell me who wins; I know Alix always wins at her races. Yeah, okay, bye."

Marinette hangs up.

Meanwhile, at the Trocadéro, Fanette shows everyone the banner the real Marinette made.

An unknown male voice remarks, "Oh, wow, that's beautiful!"

Fanette just beamed.

Adrien remarks while being careful with names and identities, "Impressive, Marinette!"

Adrien winks at Fanette, and she smirks right back.

Kim remarks boisterously, "You all picked the wrong side to cheer on. Looks like Alix isn't even coming! Probably too scared to race an extreme athlete like me."

Alix remarks as she skates on the scene, "Spoke too soon, Kim."

Everyone cheers.

Alix states, "Your annoying bets are over. I'm gonna be leaving you in the dust, meathead!"

Kim retorts, "You're no match for me; my neck is bigger than your thigh."

Alya laughs at that before asking Fanette, "Is that a good thing?"

Fanette answers, "Don't look at me; even I'm not familiar with specific idioms of the modern era."

Max pushes Alix and Kim away from each other before saying, "Let's go over the official rules. Both of you will be doing two laps around the fountains at approximately five hundred yards. The first racer to go over the finish line will be declared the victor. If Kim achieves victory, Alix will relinquish her rollerblades to him. On the other hand, if Alix wins, Kim will be prohibited from making any more dares for the rest of the school year."

Juleka states vocally, much to Rose's secret joy, "We're through with all of your stupid, dangerous dares!"

Ivan calls out, "Yeah-huh, that's right!"

Nathanael adds, "No more bets!"

Max then starts counting down, "On your marks, get set – "

But Alix interrupts to say, "Hold on!"

Kim falls over from his starting position and everyone else bursts out laughing.

Kim remarks as he gets up, "Forfeiting already?"

Alix shakes her head no before skating over to Alya.

Alix states while handing her watch to Alya, "Hold on to this for me, will you, Alya? I don't want to drop it during the race."

Fanette points out, "Alix, your dad entrusted that watch to you and therefore, it's your responsibility and yours alone, no one else's. Besides, you have pockets."

Alix's eyes widened as she replies, "Oh, my gosh, you're right, M! Thanks!"

Alix puts the watch in her pocket and says, "Sorry for the interruption, everybody."

Everyone accepted the apology, including Max, much to the surprise of everyone except "Marinette" and Chloe.

Max then says, "On your marks... get set... GO!"

Alix and Kim start racing, with Kim on foot and Alix on her rollerblades, and everyone else cheers them on.

All the while, Fanette decided to emulate Joseph Babbage of America's Funniest Home Videos from 2001 to 2015 by humorously narrating the race like a comedian announcer during the "Day At The Races" segment. She starts by saying as the race starts, "And they're off! Kim and Alix are starting off strong, neck-in-neck, and they're looking to make the other racer cry in defeat."

Alya interrupts to ask, "Are you narrating the race like an announcer?"

Fanette answers, "Yep."

Just then, everyone can see that Kim and Alix were in their last lap.

Max calls out, "Last lap!"

Chloe gets a phone call on vibrate and she looks to see that it's her father.

Chloe walks off to the farther left side and answers, "Yes, Dad?"

Chloe looks to see Alix and Kim still racing even as she hears her father say, "Chloe, sweetie, check the news whenever you get the chance. It's about your mother."

Chloe raises an eyebrow as she replies, "Done deal."

Chloe and Mayor Bourgeois hang up in unison without knowing.

Alix skates over the finish line.

Alix exclaims, "Yeah! Hahahahaha!"

Kim states frustratedly, "I call a rematch. That false start back there threw me off!"

Fanette asks dangerously while slipping some black finger armor claws onto her fingers and while flexing her now clawed fingers, "Kim! Need I seriously remind you about complaining about your losses no matter how legitimate or superfluous they seem? And do I seriously need to remind you about what happened the last time you complained about not getting your way back in our second year of elementary school?"

Everyone gawks at Fanette's dangerous tone and while some like Juleka were amazed at the claw finger armor rings on Fanette's fingers, others like Kim gulped hard in fear and nervousness while Adrien just looked confused, having not been familiar with Fanette/Marinette's entire history of how she dealt with people like Kim and how she dealt with bullies before coming to Francoise Dupont High School.

Fanette puts her claw rings away and pats Alix's right shoulder while saying, "You did good, birthday girl."

Alix beams and hugs Fanette.

Fanette hugs Alix in reciprocation.

Even Kim looked dumbfounded, as even he knew that Alix was never truly sentimental with physical contact and platonic affection.

Meanwhile, Marinette is standing in the bakery in front of the Eiffel Tower cake when she sees Nadia Chamack walking up to the door.

Marinette immediately opens the door before Nadia can look and she says, "Ah, Mrs. Chamack, right on time."

Nadia questions, "Now, how do you do that? How do you manage to get to places on time and do things on time?"

Marinette answers, "I strictly follow the saying that timing is everything."

Marinette then helps Nadia pack the Eiffel Tower cake carefully.

Marinette then says, "All right, Mrs. Chamack, I hope you enjoy it; Mom and Dad worked very hard to invent this cake for you."

Nadia replies, "Me and my coworkers sure will enjoy it, Marinette."

Nadia leaves while carrying the box packaged cake in both hands and while making sure to watch where she's going.

Inside the bakery, Marinette says to Tikki, "Well, at least we don't have to worry about any replacement Timebreakers to replace Alix as the true Timebreaker."

Tikki nods.

Later, Tom and Sabine return from their anniversary lunch.

Marinette questions, "So, how did everything go?"

Tom answers, "It went splendidly. And we thankfully didn't need to deal with any time alterations while fighting any version of Timebreaker."

Marinette replies back, "Yeah, tell me about it."

Tom then says, "But remember, even with your armies of clones, there's only one true Marinette Dupain-Cheng we can rely upon for things like Mrs. Chamack's Eiffel Tower cake today, and we're counting on you."

Tom winks.

Marinette smiles before hugging her parents.

The End.

(Bonus scene: Ladybug and Bunnyx do girl things together. January 18th, 2019, third person POV...)

Ladybug flies through the skyline of Paris when suddenly, her Bug Phone rings.

Ladybug picks up and asks, "Yes, Bunnyx?"

Bunnyx states on ground level before asking, "Hey, Ladybug, um, I'm a little bit bored and you know Kim somewhat underestimates how bored I can get, even though he does give me good foot massages. Anyway, I need some company. Are you available?"

Ladybug answers while emulating Max, "Of course. I estimate I have the next four and a half hours to myself so I can have a day of girl activities with you."

Bunnyx replies back, "Heh heh heh. I think you spending too much time with Max is making you as calculative and smart as he is."

Ladybug replies back as well, "Yeah, I heard that thousands of times."

Ladybug hangs up and flies over to Alix's apartment.

Ladybug detransforms in the alleyway while avoiding the security cameras.

Marinette walks up to the door and is about to ring the doorbell when Alix comes out, much to Marinette's constant frustration.

Marinette snarls, "You know I hate it when you do that!"

Alix replies cheekily, "I know, but I like to make an entrance in some capacity."

Marinette huffs before replying back, "Well, shall we get going?"

Alix nods and she locks her door before she and Marinette start walking down the sidewalk to find something to do.

Eventually, they came to the decision to get their nails done.

Now, technically, Alix Kubdel doesn't care about cosmetics and jewelry due to being a tomboy, but she couldn't deny that regardless of whether or not her being aromantic is permanent, even she needs to look her best for any occasion.

After arriving at a nail salon, Marinette and Alix went to get their nails done, with Marinette getting her nails in black and Alix getting hers done in yellow.

Of course, Marinette did everything she could to avoid laughing hysterically because her feet were extremely sensitive to touch, and the same was for Alix. But they held strong.

In no time, their nail polishes dried and they were allowed to leave.

Marinette and Alix then went out to eat at an IHOP Paris.

Marinette got herself an order of the strawberry banana pancakes with no whipped cream, an order of the Bacon Temptation Omelette, a Mega Monster Burger, two orders of their Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, and a full stack order of the Double Chocolate Chip Pancakes with no whipped cream for dessert.

Alix got herself an order of the blueberry French toast, the Spinach and Mushroom Omelette, the Classic Burger with Bacon, and an order of the Protein Blueberry Pancakes with a chocolate milkshake for dessert.

Marinette secretly used her wishing power to make sure nobody would get suspicious about her and Alix's big orders or their orders being consumed without them gaining inordinate weight.

Marinette and Alix respectively got themselves hot chocolate, milk, water, and apple juice to wash down the food.

When they got their food, the waitress asks, "Are you planning to eat all of that?"

Marinette answers flawlessly, "Not all of it; there's at least a fraction of the food we're saving for when we go home."

The waitress nods in understanding before going to the next table.

Marinette and Alix gave thanks for their food before eating at a normal pace.

Of course, Marinette went with her breakfast and dessert first.

Simply because she loves pancakes and because she loves her pancakes better with either chocolate chips, chocolate sauce in the batter, and/or all of them put together. In spite of the fact that she hated junk food for years even before she became Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

As Marinette and Alix ate their food, Marinette secretly replicated her fraction of her leftovers to put in a to-go bag that the waitress gave her without anyone else noticing.

After they finish, Marinette and Alix paid the bill and they took their to-go bags with them as they went home.

Marinette could even say that she was fully satisfied having a girl's night out with one out of her many oldest friends in Miraculous Ladybug history.

(Bonus scene #2: Marinette pranks her friends on April Fools' Day. April 1st, 2026, third person POV...)

Marinette was quietly giggling to herself in her workplace, as since today was April Fools' Day, she had an assortment of pranks in store for her friends.

Marinette hears a door opening and she maintains a poker face while focusing on her new assignment of fashion.

Suddenly, a woman shrieks at seeing a bunch of spiders in her desk.

One of the men asks, "Hey, what's going on?"

The woman answers scaredly, "My desk has spiders!"

The workers evacuate from the workspace at hearing this, except for Marinette, as Fanette is being used to once again divert attention away from the real Marinette.

Marinette whispers, "(Softly) Mwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ahh hahahahahahahahahahaha! Those guys and gals are such complete suckers!"

Marinette snaps her fingers and the "spiders" disappear.

In the lobby, Fanette and the others are given the all-clear as the real Marinette discreetly exits the building incognito.

As she gets to the park, she sheds her disguise discreetly and cackles, "Mwah hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Suckers! Those fake spiders sure scared the crack and crap out of them!"

Marinette sighs in satisfaction before going to the nearest McDonald's to buy some lunch.

Technically, she still hated junk food and even fast food, but she still goes to fast food restaurants to get the healthier menu items that are still around.

Marinette got herself two Side Salads with no dressing and three bags of apple slices, and she enjoyed her meal at a normal pace.
