Author's Note: It's been a while since I posted a chapter. This is the conclusion to Cecelia and Terra's battle.

Arc Two: A Signal from the Past, Part 2

The armoured being stood frozen, as the attack struck true. However it did not appear to have been defeated by the attack. It was agonising moments before the armour began to shake, as it dropped to one knee – leveraging its keyblade for support.

"I won't... let it end! Not against... you... Xehanort." Metallic rustling across its body, showed that it was struggling to stand back up.

Cecelia stood up from her pose, and looked back towards her opponent. She was sad, and empathised with this remnant of Terra.

'Truly incredible. To have no body, no heart, yet still the conviction to exist... these youngsters-' she looked herself over (releasing her armour), realising the remnant of Terra had pushed her, far more than she was comfortable with. There were scuff marks, light wounds and signs of early bruising.

The armour continued to shake, struggling to stand back up.

"Enough Terra! You've... done enough my young friend." A sad expression, mournful even, for the young Keyblade Wielder (what was left anyway) in front of her.

"No...it...isn't...!"

"Terra, heed me. I am not your enemy. My name is Master Cecelia Cor Lumis, and... I have been looking for you for a long time."

(I will...make this right)

((I will...make this right))

A young woman wandered the dark expanse in front of her. A mix of the natural formations inherent in the Dark Realm, and those of some Worlds she had once visited. It appeared all as an incoherent mass of dark, pulsing contours, and rigid industrial shapes.

[

'Did I really make the right choice...to stay here?'

'Is the Realm of Light truly safe?'

'Are my friends safe?'

]

These same questions (doubts) haunted her, for a long time. Ever since she made the choice to save her childhood friend, and sacrifice her own place in the Realm of Light.

"Terra?"

"Terra can you hear me?"

Metallic rustling in his very being...

"Terra? Young man?"

'Wha?' A fog lifting...

"Are you okay now?"

As if waking from a dream (or rather a nightmare), the one who knew himself as Terra, was conscious once more.

"Yeah...I'm...awake now."

The voice he heard, feminine but unknown, seemed to sigh in relief.

"Phew, that's good. You had me worried young man."

Realising that he was using his keyblade as balance (for what reason, he wasn't sure), he tried to lift himself up, but he just felt... heavy.

"No worries young man, I'll help you up."

The woman (?) came to his aid and crouched down to his left side. He looked over and noticed medium length, spiky hair and... a peculiar necklace.

'Is that ...?'

"Here we go!"

Terra (with help from this lady), was hoisted up to his feet. She inquired as to his steadiness, and he nodded affirmatively (after testing his limbs a little bit).

His entire body felt stiff. Yet, weirdly...light?

Strange, what is-

Then he realised an imperceptible detail. He couldn't see his own nose or overhanging head of hair!

'What!? Why can't I?'

He was frantically looking himself over and was about to pull his helmet off, when-

"No. Stop, young man! You mustn't!"

The urgency in her voice and her physically holding his hands away from his helmet, eventually calmed him down.

'Why can't I!?'

Her head dropped, as her voice quietened to nearly a whisper.

"Because..."

'I see, and it makes sense. I lost myself to Xehanort but my consciousness still resisted.'

He curled his gloved hands (?) into fists, furious at the result of his ill fated battle with the elder keyblade wielder.

'Damn it! And I've been here for 10 years, doing nothing!'

He stomped his boot covered feet (?) in frustration.

"Don't blame yourself, Xehanort can fool almost anyone." Cecelia sighed.

'But not you Master. Tell me, why weren't you at the Mark of Mastery. I was sure Master Eraqus sent a request to you and Master Yen Sid!?' There was a bite to his comment.

"Well, I told your Master as well as Master Yen Sid, that only in emergencies could they contact me. I was..."

'Was what?'

"...raising my son and protecting the island that we lived on from the threat of Darkness."

'Wait...you have a son? Is he a keyblade wielder?' If Terra had his eyes and face, his eyes would've widened by Cecelia's statement.

The Keyblade Master shook her head. "Not yet, but him and his friend certainly have the potential. Speaking of his friend, I heard that he was passed on the gift by you, prior to your final battle with Xehanort."

'Really? I don't re-'

A flash of memory overtook him, as he remembered the young boy whom he bequeathed the keyblade to.

Now I remember...

'...yeah, I did bequeath that boy the keybl-wait a second, how come I never saw you there!?'

Cecelia shrugged in response, but gave the young wielder a verbal response.

"You landed on the outer island, where the kids usually play. I would've been...tidying up the house or training by myself, when you and Aqua landed on that island."

'Aqua...' his close friend whom he betrayed so many times. He didn't even know what happened to her, but likely nothing good (especially if she wasn't here with Master Cor Lumis).

'What happened to my friends master?' He pleaded to Cecelia.

"...I honestly don't know. Last I heard from Aqua, her, my under-classman Mickey and Master Yen Sid were all thinking about the next steps. Your body had disappeared after the battle, and Ventus-" she sighed, unsure how to break it to the young man, "-he was devoid of his own heart, thus...unconscious."

'What!? H-Ho-'

Cecelia held her hand out to silence him, feeling a little uneasy all of a sudden. She whispered to him, "Terra, best we head off to Lanes Between. Something about this place, fills me with unease."

He nodded, as Cecelia donned her Keyblade Armour and summoned her Glider.

"Are you ready?"

'I am, let's go master.'

Both keyblade wielders zoomed towards the Lanes Between.

Standing on one of the many natural cliffs scattered across the Keyblade Graveyard, a lone figure in a black hood, looked on as he spotted Master Cecelia and Terra flying off to the Lanes Between.

"I didn't expect to see you active again Cor Lumis. Then again, what could I expect from your bloodline. Still...it seems like you somehow sensed me. That...might be an issue."

The figure shook their head, as they casually walked away, disappearing with the wasteland breeze.

At the same time...

"You've got your new friends Sora, so stay with them. I'll save Kairi!" The platinum haired youth (Riku) announced to his childhood friend.

"You're nuts Riku! Why side with the Heartless? They'll eat you alive!" The young brunette pleaded with his (now deranged) best friend to come to his senses. Sora knew from experience that the Heartless were nothing but mindless beasts, who consume any he lay in their path. He'd witnessed it first hand with Clayton.

"I don't fear the Heartless. They're mine to control..." Riku flicked his wrists as he manifested his dark power (granted by the Witch-Fairy Maleficent), and...created a dark Sora?

"What the!?"

"Have fun buddy..." And with that Riku disappeared through the dark corridors (along with Kairi), with Sora left dumbstruck by the betrayal from his best friend.

EOC: So far Cecelia's journey lines up with the latter parts of Sora's KH1 story. The reason for this is due to side events that happened to Cecelia in Cecelia's Search.

If you remember my sneak peek chapter, Cecelia will meet Sora at the Land of Departure (what's left of it anyway). But this will be much later on. Her own adventures (and troubles) await her and her friends.
