Lucy and Luke were getting supplies so they could set up. They wanted April's birthday party to be epic. Lucy worked on her best poem then planned some watermelon smashing.
Luke got the decorations. Luckily, April was out, so Luke and Lucy could do their magic.
It was a road trip theme, but Luke looked at April's ideal theme more carefully. "Ooooh, I like it, I like it!" Luke says.
April's ideal theme was at a water park location, which she had wanted to do for a while. Lucy and Luke grinned at each other. They then get to work.
Donatello twirled his bo staff as Leonardo twirled his swords and put them in their sleeves. Michaelangelo twirled one of his nunchucks as Raphael licked one of his sai.
The turtles leap out of the sewers.
"Today, we have an important mission. We must use stealth and cunning skills to get…..groceries!" Leonardo says as there was a record scratch sound effect.
"Wait, seriously?" Raphael asked.
"Yeah, April was pretty specific about the Doritos she wanted. She underlined it twice." Donatello says.
"Let's move!" Leonardo says as they move into the shadows.
Meanwhile with Luke, he had just finished hanging the decorations. He didn't want to use too many balloons. It wasn't going to be a huge party, anyway, and too many balloons would just make the cleaning crew work overtime just to clean them all up.
Lucy thinks of the disco ball as Luke was setting the tables in the water park's party room.
Luke's mind was wandering as he started putting candy in the pinata. He couldn't help but wonder what his half birthday was going to be like this year.
"I'll try not to fail." Lucy says nervously.
Luke sighs sadly and begins to finish filling the pinata.
"You don't trust me, do you?" Lucy asked, knowing Luke would hate the party.
"I trust you. I just know that my day will be forgotten." Luke says. "It almost always is."
Soon, April was bored. She had done her chores, went for a walk in Central Park, and now she's just watching reruns of Friends. She soon heads to the party as confetti falls on her.
"Happy birthday, April!" the turtles and guests say to her. She is very surprised to see her party.
"I love this!" April says. She then smiled at Luke and Lucy.
"He did most of the work." Lucy says, pointing at Luke. Luke blushed modestly.
The party began with her opening gifts. She opens the turtles' gifts first.
Leonardo got a dress for her and Donatello made her a jetpack. Raphael got her a bike as Mikey made a scrapbook.
"Thank you, these are wonderful!" April says.
"No problem." Leonardo says.
April opens Luke's gift next.
It was a new camera with a travel-themed photo journal kit.
April hugged Luke. "Thank you so much!" She says as Luke smiles.
April spots Casey's gift and opens it. It was a cool skateboard.
"Awww, babe…I love it!" April says. "Thank you!"
Soon, they begin dancing. Luke dances by himself. Chalice danced with Luke as Luke looked at her for a long time.
"What?" She asked Luke, concerned.
"You didn't…fall for him that night, did you?" Luke asked.
"Nope." Chalice says.
Lisa gets nervous about that. But Beau tells her that it wasn't a date and nothing bad happened.
Luan told some jokes as April laughed. Then Luke and the band performed a few songs.
April loved the entertainment, especially The Elemental Strike.
Casey brings out the piñata after that.
"A Shredder pinata?! Nice!" April says.
"And you all thought this was going to be an epic special event" Raphael says to the 4th wall
April struck it but it didn't break.
"Allow me." Lynn says and breaks it as candy falls. April smiled as she got her candy.
Everyone had their fair share as the food was served.
As Luke eats, his mind wandered again.
"We won't forget your half-birthday." Lori says.
Luke doesn't feel convinced as he finishes eating and goes off to prepare the watermelons for smashing.
"Why doesn't he believe us?" Leni asked.
"He only remembers bad memories of us. Never the good ones. That's just the way he is." Lola says. "His mind has trouble thinking of good moments."
"Go, Leo! Go, Leo!" Everyone chanted as Leonardo cut a watermelon clean in half as people cheered.
"Where's Splinter?" April asked.
"Out on meditation." Donatello says.
"Can't argue with that." April says.
"My turn!" Raphael says twirling his sai and was going to strike but Lynn stuck first
"Hey, move it!" Raphael says, his temper rising.
"Wanna go?" Lynn asked.
"Bring it!" Raphael says.
"Okay, enough!" Leonardo says as Rapheal tossed his sai as Lynn covered her face…. only to see a sai inside the watermelon.
"That was weak!" Lynn says.
Later, they showed a highlight reel of Luke's best moments, because why not.
"Hey dudes, I've been working on my pizza cake for about 8 months, but I've got the recipe down." Michelangelo says.
"Oh, I was going to make a cake." Luan says.
"Mikey, no need for your gross cake. I made the best cake." Stephen says as Luke needed Stephen.
"Hey, pizza is not gross!" Michelangelo says.
"Yeah, what's wrong with you, pizza hater?" Raphael says.
"You guys eat too much pizza." Stephen says
Luke ran out, frustrated.
Leni hugged him. "I promise we won't forget your day." Leni says.
On May 15th, Lana woke up.
"Happy birthday, Lola!" Lana says, giving her a present in bed.
"Present in bed? How nice of you!" Lola says.
With Luke, he wasn't in the mood to plan anything. He just felt very anxious.
"In a month, it's going to be Luke's half-birthday." Luna says.
"No…it's going to be 'everyone forgets about Luke' day…" Luke says coldly.
"Not true." Lori says.
"It is true." Luke sniffed.
"Lukey, that isn't true. We'll remember your day. Why? Because this year, it's a very special half birthday because you're halfway to 21…" Chalice says.
Luke tearfully looked at Chalice, still thinking they'll forget.
At the twins' party later that day, he shows up with gifts.
"You can go. We know being there for us hurts you." Lola says. She knew that Luke got jealous easily. But he gave his gifts, anyway.
Lola opened her gift from Luke, which was a diamond tiara and a diamond-colored dress. Lana got a new tool kit from Luke.
"Thanks, Luke!" The twins say.
"Happy birthday!" Luke says to them. They hug him.
"Good luck on tonight's show!" Lola says.
"Thanks." Luke says.
"You should go prepare. We want you to be at your best tonight." Lana says.
Luke nods and heads out.
That night, Luke was getting ready with Chalice. He did feel a bit nervous about tonight.
"We're going to win." Chalice says as she holds Luke's hands. "We got this."
Cuphead and Mugman are polishing themselves and preparing for the show.
"The fans love us, that's for sure!" Cuphead says.
"True." Mugman says. "I'm so happy to be on stage once again…"
Soon, April and Gemma step on stage. They are carrying play scripts and smiling.
"Hello, ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to Chicago, Illinois! Tonight, the play's the thing!" April says.
"You heard her right! Tonight's show theme is all about plays on stage! You can pick a song to act out to or use a Broadway song! Tonight will also be season 11's first quadruple elimination show, to narrow it down to our top 40 that will move to Memphis, Tennessee for our Country Celebration!" Gemma says. "So, vote like you mean it, America!"
"Coming up first are the heroes from Equestria, Bella and Beth!" Gemma says as they arrive in style. Luke and Chalice are stunned. Alem tuber rolled his eyes.
They soon perform "Defying Gravity" from Wicked. Everyone screamed and cheered.
"They're really good." Savannah says.
They soon finished with a double split as fans cheered.
"What a show! And the best way to follow it up is with another couple. Presenting Luna Huntington and Sam Sharp!" Gemma says.
The couple appears and they soon begin to perform an act, using the song "Beggin' On Your Knees" by Victoria Justice.
Fans cheered and got into it.
Luke was looking down at the ground backstage. His confidence fell big time.
"Luke, do you think they're at our level? No." Chalice says, then sings to him.
"You gotta slap on a smile…throw in some pep…don't forget to put a spring in your step…" Luke sings along with his wife, holding her hands.
"Coming up next are the champions of last season, Savannah and Tina Huntington!" Gemma says as fans cheered.
The girls do an act, using the song "What's Goin' On" from Bratz Forever Diamondz.
Fans cheered wildly.
Lisa was feeling guilty. She felt that she shouldn't have entered, especially because Luke wasn't really excited about the idea of her being on the show. But Beau reassured her that things would be okay.
"Coming up next are the stars of the show Luke Huntington and Mrs. Chalice!" Gemma says as fans screamed.
They appeared in an alleyway-themed set, singing "Suddenly Seymour" from Little Shop Of Horrors.
The crowd was loving their performance.
"Go, Luke!" Lucy says with a smile.
They soon finished as Chalice winked. The crowd went wild before Luke and Chalice went backstage.
Brandy and Randy were up after Luke and Chalice.
"Coming up next is a team you all have been waiting to see on stage, get ready for Brandy and Randy!" April says as the crowd goes nuts seeing them.
They perform an act, using "Holding Out For A Hero" from Shrek 2.
Fans cheered for their skit and clapped at the ending.
"Coming up next is the duo of Connor and Carol Pingrey!" April says.
The two of them appear in orphan costumes and do "It's The Hard-Knock Life" from Annie on an orphanage dormitory-based stage set.
Fans cheered for this performance and absolutely loved it.
"Coming up next is Cuphead and Mugman!" Gemma says.
Fans screamed and chanted the cups' names as they did an act to "Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top.
The crowd got into it, even singing along to the song.
Luke was backstage, trembling as he watched.
"It's okay, Luke…" Chalice says, rubbing his back.
"LUKE'S GONNA LOSE!" Luke sobbed.
"Oh, honey, no…no, you're not…" Charity says, running backstage. "It's okay…it's going to be okay…" She holds him as Chalice continues to rub his back.
The cups soon finished to an explosive amount of cheers and the judges gave them the platinum button, to which the cups squealed excitedly before going backstage.
Beau and Lisa soon went up and performed "Rewrite The Stars" from The Greatest Showman. The crowd was in awe of their performance, especially Beau's siblings.
Lucy glared.
They soon finished with Lisa doing her famous break dance as the entire arena loved it. The siblings except Lucy, Luna, and Tina cheered. Tina sniffed, crumbling.
Lisa was smiling, but Lucy glared at her. Charity was quick to stop her before she tried anything.
"Unless you want to have your club privileges revoked, you better shape up! Lisa and Luke are in this show. You can cheer for Luke all you want, but don't jeopardize Lisa's chances." Charity says.
Luke was hyperventilating and pacing backstage. Tina was sucking her thumb as they were announcing the eliminations. To her relief, none of the main teams were eliminated this time.
Luke left afterwards, his thoughts racing as he headed back to the hotel with Chalice.
"You won't be eliminated." Chalice says.
"It isn't just that, Chally." Luke says.
"Your half-birthday. I know." Chalice says.
"It's going to be 'Let's Forget About Luke Day'...not a day of celebration." Luke says.
