It was the morning of the wedding. Luke refused to get out of bed. Luna decided to stay by his side as she couldn't stand to see Luke in his current state.
She didn't blame Brandy for this. Heck, things would have gone a lot worse if Brandy hadn't showed up. She did blame Randy for this, however.
Lucy woke up groaning. This was the day she had been both anticipating and dreading.
She goes to get ready. She then decided to get some breakfast.
Cuphead was excited for this. Margo was a bit nervous.
"It's okay, honey. I'll be with you. But we can call it off if you want to." Mugman says.
Margo was shuddering at the sight of Mugman's handle getting snapped off again, and then she screamed.
"It's gonna happen again! It's gonna happen again!" Margo says, shaking and still traumatized by that sight.
"It's okay, love. That's happened multiple times." Mugman says. Margo was traumatized by the way it happened last night. She was still terrified.
After breakfast, Cuphead dressed up in his nicest suit. Mugman was holding Margo as she cried.
The wedding began later, but Luke was too upset to go. Luna, Luan, and Lori stayed behind to keep an eye on Luke. They'd try to come to the reception a little bit later.
Soon, they were getting to the kiss part, but Lucy wasn't sure if she was ready. Lynn smiles at her.
"You may now kiss the bride." The priest says.
Mugman kisses Margo and embraces her. Margo clings to Mugman as she sobs.
Lucy was nervous.
"It's okay." Lynn says. Lucy kisses Cuphead and Cuphead smiles at her.
Later, at the reception, Luna, Luan, and Lori were there with Luke.
"Congratulations, you guys!" Luan says.
"Thanks!" Cuphead says.
Luke trembled when Lucy walked up to him. Lucy hugged him. She could see he was still broken.
She holds him as the dancing begins.
News of last night's fight traveled fast. Beau believed that Luke won, no matter what the results were. Garrett agreed with Beau.
But this was spelling bad news for the cosmic buddies as their reputation was in-between good and bad.
Savannah was practicing for the show with Tina.
"I should go, Lucy needs me." Tina says and arrives at the reception.
Margo was getting better as she danced with Mugman. She smiles at him.
Luke didn't want to dance. Lucy sat with Luke and looked over him.
"Well, guys, we actually went toe to toe against Luke. This means we've broken our limits. We need bigger adventures!" Delta says.
"Yeah!" Alem tuber says.
Meanwhile Margo opens Lynn's gift, which was a set of tennis rackets.
"Thanks, Lynn." Margo says.
"No problem!" Lynn says.
Luke shakily gave Lucy his gift. Lucy opens it to reveal a blue book full of the best moments Luke shared with her. It took him a few days to put together, but the end result was pretty amazing. There were even some poems he wrote about her inside it.
Lucy cried tears of joy as she hugged Luke. "I love it, Luke, thank you!" She says.
"Y-You're w-welcome…" Luke says.
Cuphead opened the gift Chalice got him. It was a bunch of different costumes.
"So you wouldn't have to keep figuring out what to wear to all the shows and stuff…" Chalice says. "Lukey did this same gift for me on my birthday and I've never had to be indecisive about costumes ever since."
Cuphead smiled.
Mugman opened Leni's gift, which was a pirate treasure chest full of pirate costumes, his favorite candy, the newest pirate novel in his favorite series, and new Dirk Dangerous goggles, which he put on.
Soon, everyone was eating. Luke wasn't eating much.
"Did Randy say something or are you looking at an Anti-Cosmic buddy fan page?" Lynn joked.
"The second thing." Luke says.
"Wait, what?!" Lynn asked. Luke shows her.
Lynn looked annoyed. "How dare they! I gotta let Randy know." she says as she growled and texted him.
Soon it was cake time. Lucy and Cuphead's cake was a 4-tiered red velvet cake with a gothic motif, made by Colleen. Mugman and Margo's cake was a 4-layered chocolate cake smothered in colorful M&M's, and it had a topper of Margo and Mugman as green and blue M&M's, made by Stephen.
Luke was smiling at the friends who made the cakes.
Lucy and Cuphead cut their cake, then Margo and Mugman cut theirs. Everyone got slices of whichever cake they wanted. Margo feeds Mugman and Lucy feeds Cuphead, then the cups feed their wives their cake.
Luke eats three pieces of the cake Stephen made and asks Stephen to make a cake similar to it for his birthday. Stephen smiles and tells Luke that he'll be happy to.
"I can't believe you're married." Lola says to Lucy.
"I can't believe it either." Lucy says.
Chalice sees Luke looking at the fan page.
"What the?!" Chalice asked
There were some people who wanted them in jail or even dead. And they had the video from the fight in full view with the tag lines #LukeDidn'tDeserveToLoseToWannabes and #JusticeForTheHuntingtons.
Chalice couldn't believe it, but she knew her husband was hurting mentally and emotionally and the taglines were pretty accurate.
Charity was in her office at the San Antonio town hall, working as the wedding went on.
Alem tuber arrived home with his siblings and there was chaos everywhere
Alem tuber couldn't see his parents as Emma looked sad and Angry Luigi teared up.
Alem tuber had tears and sweat as he screamed in agony.
Soon Lucy and the others were tired. Chalice took Luke to his mom's office. Luke came in.
"Oh, sweetheart…" Charity sees Luke's mental state. She holds him.
"You got a plan for this whole ordeal?" Chalice asked.
"I do." Charity then explains it to Chalice.
"Oh…" Chalice says. "I like what I hear!"
"It'll go into effect immediately." Charity says.
Savannah felt bad for the twins and Emma.
"Someone kidnapped your mom?" Savannah asked.
"Yep." Alem tuber says.
"Hey, no worries, we'll save her." Alex says as Bill was just looking at the news for leads. He comes across a news site about Charity's new law taking effect in San Antonio.
"What law?" Savannah asked.
Bill was afraid to say it.
Alem tuber grabbed him "Say it!" he growled.
"The Cosmic Anti-Violence Law…" Bill says.
"What does that mean?" Savannah asked as Emma was confused.
Bill read the entire article word for word.
"So, that's how it is. I'll show them!" Alem tuber says.
"Yes, let's ask all criminals to go away!" Emila says sarcastically.
"Well, that's going to be hard to show them. Because a lot of people see our team as bad." Savannah says.
"Even though we save lives, they don't know us. It's not like there's an anti-Luke page…" Alem tuber joked.
"There is." Bill says.
"Wait, but Luke is awesome! Who would hate Luke?" Savannah asked.
"Probably just a fake group trying to get fame and attention." Bill says.
With Luke, he hissed at the site that went against him.
"Lisa, should we check it out?" Luna asked. Lisa nodded.
They get close to a dark alleyway, but notice the Cosmic buddies sneaking around.
"What are you doing?" Lisa asked.
"Checking out the Anti-Luke campaign." Jason says crossing his arms
Amber sniffed, worried for her aunt.
They enter and sees some old people who were dirty, some not even fully human.
"Cosmic buddies, we are big fans of yours." one of them says. "Name's Zizas." He says
"Zizas?" Savannah asked
"Let's scram and run!" Angry Luigi says but a tiger was at the exit.
"We want to talk. We heard about the new law about you guys and we also think it's not fair. So you guys wanna roll with us? we'll take care of your problem permanently." Zizas says as his crew cheered.
"Maybe find our mom?" Emma asked
"Two words hell no" Alem tuber says
"I don't think I heard that right, did you just say no? I gave you a chance to be villains. The people see you as villains. Besides, you look lost, scared, and hungry." Zizas says
"We are lost, scared, and hungry" Emma admitted
"Hey, look, it's Luke!" Bill says as the crew looked to see nobody, then turn to see the Cosmic buddies dragging Luna and Lisa to Delta's monster truck as Delta began driving.
"Kill them!" Zizas says as his crew began chasing them.
"They're chasing us!" Angry Luigi says
"They're too slow to catch up to us. It's not like they have money for cars or gas." Lisa says. They came with some broken cars and caught up to the truck as Zizas opened the back
"6 in the morning and the police are at my door." He says as Alem tuber growled but Zizas punched him down and tossed a bomb smack in the middle and jumped out as the bomb exploded, destroying the bridge and the truck.
The cosmic buddies fell in the water, screaming.
Luna was hanging on to part of the bridge and noticed them escaping.
Luna wanted to go after them but she jumped in the water and pulled Lisa out as Lisa coughed.
Meanwhile, Cuphead and Chalice showed everyone the highlight reel of Mugman peeing his pants as Luke laughed.
Mugman hid his face in shame.
Luke hissed as he looked out the window.
"What's wrong?" Chalice asked.
"They're out to get me. It's time to take them down…." Luke says.
"Luke is no longer the target. Not anymore. When the Cosmic buddies show up, we destroy them." Zizas says glaring and holding Angry Luigi's hat.
"I think they died." One of the crew members said.
"Really?" Zizas said and checked the water, seeing a broken truck.
"No, it's just the truck. I see no bodies. Let's tell the news they destroyed the city's biggest and busiest bridge." Zizas says.
Meanwhile, Leni was eating tv and watching the news. Charity was furious.
"Tonight, there was a car chase, and it appears the cosmic buddies have caused some real damage." Camilla Rambaldi says.
"That seems scary." Leni says.
"They destroyed San Antonio's biggest and busiest bridge!" Charity shouted angrily. "They put countless lives in danger!"
Leni pats Charity. Charity was furious with the cosmic buddies.
The Cosmic buddies hide in an alleyway.
"Okay, we need to fix our mistakes." Savannah says.
"How?" Bill asked.
"I don't know." Savannah says.
"At least this can't get any worse." Emma says.
The police sirens rang as the Cosmic buddies hid and the San Antonio news crews were en route to Charity's office.
The news crews arrived and Charity was telling the news crews about what she heard.
"Countless lives were either lost or put in danger tonight. These wannabe heroes just let people fall to their death or to fend for themselves. They let innocent people suffer." Charity tells the reporters.
"Actually, no one died from that." An officer says as Charity sighed.
"Then why don't you tell everyone what happened?! Because apparently, I'm lying!" Charity says.
The video shows Lisa barely saving everyone, using telekinesis.
"So, I'm a liar. I lied to everyone." Charity says, ashamed.
"No, we just found that out now. Everyone thought those people died." the officer says.
Meanwhile, Luke was going to bed as Luna tucked him in.
