Surprise form the Future
Author's note:
Sorry, Chapter 1 was so short, it was my introduction to writing and I wanted to see if everything worked. I don't know yet what a good length is but I promise from now on the chapters won't be that short. But enough of that I wish you a lot of fun with chapter 2.
Jaune Arc slept peacefully. Well, at least until suddenly the door to the JNPR team was broken open. Startled by the noise, the leader looked at the intruder. It was Yang, her eyes glowed menacingly red and her hair was on fire.
"Arc you touched my little sister. be ready to die."
"hmm what the?"
Before Jaune was fully awake, the door exploded into tiny pieces. Jaune saw Yang come stomping through the hole where the door to Jnpr's room used to be. Her hair was in an angry fire, steam seemed to be coming out of her mouth while she had a wicked smile on her lips. With a squeak, she turned her face to him.
"Oh Jaaaaaune there you are, we have a little something to talk about."
she said in a singing voice. The blonde didn't know what was going on, only that the hair on the back of his neck stood up and his whole body screamed I'm in danger. Jaune Ark swallowed and smiled kindly.
"H-hi Yang what can I do for you?"
"Oh nothing out of the ordinary. There was a little boy in our room claiming to be Ruby's son and well,guess whom he looks alike. Likewise he has an interesting name Lapis Rose-Ark." After this statement, the blonde was silent for a moment. With all his skill, JNPR leaders analyzed the long and came to a conclusion.
"WHAT"
But this comment was a mistake. Yang already burned a short fuse and the barrel exploded. Her eyebrow twitched like crazy.
"I'll kill you Arc!"
The pissed off girl roared and lashed out. Jaune just jumped aside and looked at the remains of his bed.
"I think it's time to go, was nice Yang... Bye!"
Jaune darted past her. Yang flashed her teeth.
"Come back I'm not done with you yet!"
Ruby walked the hallways of Hunter School with a little boy by the hand. Suddenly an explosion was heard as the ground trembled. The Grim Reaper groaned and picked up her scroll.
"Girls please stop Yang from killing Jaune."
"Are aunt Yang and Daddy having a fight?"
Daddy... Ruby still can't believe it. here was this little boy who claimed to be her son. It was crazy she was 15 and had no interest in boys. let alone do it with one. And what crowned it all Jaune Arc is apparently the father of the little one. Ruby looked closely at Lapis. Blonde hair, silver eyes and his face seemed to be a mix of Jaunes and hers. and the worst of all? He was so freaking cute. She knew immediately would he give her the puppy dog eyes she was dan for.
"Mommy are you okay?"
Asked the little one in it was again "Mommy" what a strange feeling to be addressed like looked in Silver, Ruby couldn't really describe the feeling in her that told her that this little boy was precious,that she had to protect him no matter what. Was that her maternal instinct? Did her body take that little boy as her offspring? But no, that was crazy, the whole thing is clearly a misunderstanding. she would remember to be pregnant let alone give birth. So the two went through the lock, lost in thought, until they finally stood in front of the headmaster's door. The Grim Reaper knocked and was finally invited in.
"Ah Ms Rose what brings you to me?"
Ozpin greeted them from his desk.
Ruby stepped forward.
"Head Master it is so..."
"Yang what's gotten into you?"
Jaune dodged the rampaging girl's attack. Which was also good because Yang was now standing in the middle of a crater. Jaune knew if this went on like this he was finished. he couldn't win a duel with Yang, but he couldn't run away forever either. The blonde's frenzy kept topping up and the swordsman was always able to just about dodge her attacks.
"Please Yang, we can't talk about it in peace, you must know for yourself how crazy it all sounds."
"Oh I'll talk yes I'll give your eulogy."
Just as Yang ran towards Jaune and struck out for the next punch, she stopped. better said she could not move from the place. When she looked down it became clear why. her feet were frozen in ice and stuck to the ground
"I've had enough! I've had enough of this nonsense."
Sounded the voice of Weiss.
"Ruby wants you to come down Yang that's no use."
Now Blake answered.
"No, I won't just let that go."
Before she could say anything else, Brawler was frozen in ice. Weiss sighed.
"Yeah, since we got you out of trouble, can we count on your help?"
"Um sure..."
A little later, a jaune and Blake were seen carrying a yang locked in ice while Weiss took the lead.
"It is a strange morning indeed."
Added Ozpin after Ruby's explanation. The Head Master beckoned to the little boy who had been hiding in the hood of his blue hoodie since they were around. The older one smiled slightly. was someone a little shy?
"Hi Lapi it wasn't was."
The little one nodded. However, Ozpin, with all his years of experience, knew how to deal with children.
"How old are you? The blue bearer holds up his right hand.
"Oh five years you've been there, you're almost a man. Do you know when you were born?"
Ruby stood still at first and watched as Ozpin slowly elicited important data from the little Lapis. But when he answered when he was born, she flinched. afterall he would not be born for seven years. Eventually Ozpin managed to get the blonde to take off his hood. So that he had a good look in his eyes which in turn made him look at Ruby.
"Indeed there is a certain resemblance."
The head master then pressed the intercom.
"Ms. Goodwitch, I would like you to come to my office. I need your help."
It didn't take long and said teacher entered the room.
"What is it head master?"
"We have to do a DNA test, would you please take some blood from Lapis here, with compensation for the little one, of course."
The woman looked at the blond boy. then Suddenly she had hearts in her eyes and ran to Lapis and cuddled him.
"Oh you're a sweet one. I promise you'll get lots of lollipops and bomboms, yes, leave everything to dear Glynda."
Ruby stood there, wide-eyed and open-mouthed. is this really the same Ms Goodwitch who taught with an iron fist?
While Lapis was laughingly cuddled. Glynda Goodwitch Ruby remarked, looking at her sharply.
"Ms Rose this never happened, are we understood?"
And there she was again, the terror of the students. Ruby nodded, mouth still open. Ozpin smiled.
"Glynda has always had a soft spot for toddlers"
Ruby grabbed her scroll.
"Memo to me if you or any of the team has trouble with Ms Goodwitch take lapis with you."
Meanwhile Glynda spoke to Lapis.
"Well then don't worry it's not bad, just a little pick and then we're done."
Hearing this, Lapis looked at Ruby with puppy dog eyes.
"Mommy..."
The reaper was speechless. Puppy Dog Eyes was her super ultra secret weapon and he wielded it too and turned it against her? and the worst. it works!
"I... I'll come with you..."
Ozpin smiled after the two women and the boy. But when they were out of the room it disappeared. Then he activated his computer and a man with a way too serious look appeared on his screen.
"James I need your help with a DNA test and a aura analysis."
"What is it Ozpin I've rarely seen you so upset."
"Now let me put it this way. As you know most students have an aura level of one hundred. This year we have two teams with a lot of talent from a level of one hundred fifty up to two hundred eighty. One even had five hundred albeit untrained."
"Five hundred? is he an Arc?"
"Yes but tell me do you know what is the highest aura level ever measured?"
"Ozpin what do you take me for? But to answer your question that was Nicklas Arc the war hero and founder of Beacon. His aura levels were an amazing seven hundred. But what's all this about."
"Just now I had a five-year-old boy here in my office from the prospect of coming from the future."
Ironwood sighed.
"You said it yourself, he's five. I'm sure he's only playing a game."
Ozpin pulled out a hidden gauge and showed it to James.
"With an aura level of one thousand five hundred I have my doubts.
