Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I am really happy and this inspired me to bring in the next chapter, and here, the battle between Poke-Fighters comes to a temporary stop, after SWAT-Knight uses his Pokemon to unleash a barrage of ammo and blasts…

Ch. 33: Kan'ippatsu

Not far, Shark-Knight watched the scene as he saw what just happened, as the area he escaped from was ablaze and debris scattering, whilst feeling the vibration and impact of Magnugiga's attack, and he felt that SWAT-Knight did a good job in eliminating Ash and Ren.

Beside him were his two Pokemon, which Abyssslasher and Abysssmasher, are growling as they were denied the chance to CONSUME the two Poke-Fighters, though Shark-Knight assured to his two pawns that they will get to eat within day, as for now they need to regroup and plan out a new method of taking out SWAT-Knight, deeming him quite dangerous due to Magnugiga.

"Patience, my pets. You'll get to eat soon."

"Rrrr…"

"For now let's settle for escaping unscathed. Otherwise I won't be able to feed you if I get killed."

"Rrrr…"

"So let us depart…I'll find something to feed you…"

"Rrrr…"

After that, Shark-Knight and his two Pokemon leave the scene, just as SWAT-Knight is getting ready to depart, believing that Drago-Knight and Dark Knight have perished, confident that no one can survive the onslaught that Magnugiga made after executing its finishing attack, and he felt good that he just KILLED TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE.

He then told Magnugiga that they are leaving as it would take a while before finding the next Poke-Fighter, provided that Shark-Knight is also amongst the Poke-Fighters killed in the blast.

"Looks like I scored something big…"

"RRRRROOOOAAAARRRR…"

"And in the event that they do survive…they'll be rattled for a week or so…"

"RRRRROOOOAAAARRRR…"

"Either way…they better not show their faces…or they'll regret it…"

"RRRRROOOOAAAARRRR…"

"Lets go."

"RRRRROOOOAAAARRRR…"

After SWAT-Knight and Magnugiga left, everything went calm and you can see that there are no traces of Drago-Knight and Dark Knight anywhere, and SWAT-Knight appeared to be pleased and satisfied with the results, and he quietly send Magnugiga back into the PokeBall before taking his leave.

Jesse and James stealthily watched the scene and are shocked at the devastation that the attack left, and wondered if both Drago-Knight and Dark Knight survive, feeling that there is no way for the two Poke-Fighter could survive such an attack and now have a reason to deem SWAT-Knight a threat to Team Rocket.

"Whoa…"

"No way…"

"Is that Minotaur-like Pokemon really that strong…?"

"Somehow I don't feel like catching something like that…"

"What should we do next…?"

"Should we follow…?"

"…"

Jessie and James glanced at each other before deciding not to follow the Poke-Fighter, worried that SWAT-Knight might summon Magnugiga and send the Pokemon to attack Team Rocket, even though Meowth insisted that they can sneak around and discreetly follow the departing Poke-Fighter without giving themselves away.

In the end, Meowth conceded as Jessie and James persuaded him to call it a day and report to Giovanni about what happened here, and as Team Rocket left, the scene shows that Drago-Knight and Dark Knight slowly emerged from the rubble, as their shields (in Dark Knight's case, his cloak) protected them and narrowly escaped from getting seriously injured.

Deactivating their armors and sending their Pokemon back inside their poke-balls, Ren silently left the scene as Ash is baffled at what just happened, as he couldn't believe that SWAT-Knight would do something this reckless and seeing the area he is in totally devastated, he reluctantly leaves after seeing that there are no people here.

He saw Ren leaving yet wobbly walking and Ash tried to call him but was ignored, as Ren continue to leave as all he has in his head is to defeat the rest of the Poke-Fighters.

"Hey…wait…!"

"…"

"You're hurt!"

"…"

"You need to get medical attention!"

"…"

"Are you listening?"

"…"

As Ren is out of sight, Ash reluctantly left as well, and about two minutes later police arrived and are taken aback by what they are seeing, and immediately assume that this is the work of terrorists and the police captain ordered his subordinates to commence the investigation and identify the culprits, which the subordinates nodded in acknowledgement.

"Yes sir!"

The mayor arrived after getting word about what happened and is shocked at the wreckage he saw, and he told the police captain to solve this case as he will not tolerate any terrorist activities, which the police captain nodded, and there he ordered his subordinates to begin the investigation immediately, which they nodded in acknowledgement.

"Yes sir!"

At Team Rocket headquarters, Giovanni stared in surprise and curiosity after watching the recorded footage that Jessie and James sent, and he is rather intrigued at the power that SWAT-Knight and Shark-Knight displayed, as well as the partner Pokemon they use, which Butch and Cassidy saw this as well, and wondered who the Poke-Fighters are, as they never heard anything about them.

"Those guys…"

"Where did they get those suits? And how were they able to tame those kind of Pokemon…?"

"Moreover, what kind of Poke-balls are they using…?"

"I don't like this…it seems that there could be another group that wants to rival Team Rocket..."

"Are you serious?"

"Got another theory?"

"…"

"You saw just now…"

Staring at the live video call, Giovanni saw Jessie and James are being tended by Meowth as he is bandaging the two Team Rocket members' arms due to getting caught by the blasts earlier, and there James apologize for choosing not to follow SWAT-Knight, which Giovanni was a bit dismayed yet he understood why, and tells Jessie and James to rest up and once recovered they are to continue monitoring Ash Ketchum, and to get more information about the other Poke-Fighters, which the three Team Rocket members nodded in acknowledgement.

"Fine. Just rest up…and remember what I'm assigning you to do."

"Yes, boss!"

"Good. Then I leave things to you."

"Yes, boss!"

After that the video call ended and there Giovanni began to replay the footages that he received from Jessie and James, which shows how the Poke-Fighters fight, the Pokemon they have and the various arsenals that the Pokemon supplied to the Poke-Fighters, which Butch and Cassidy watched carefully, and were taken aback at how the battles took place.

There Giovanni studied the next footage which showed the Poke-Fighters that Jessie and James recorded, and there the Poke-Fighters seen by Jessie and James are shown, which are:

- Drago-Knight

- Dark Knight

- Crab Knight

- SWAT-Knight

- Shark-Knight

Giovanni then studied the next footage where he saw Dragredder in action and is curious as to how Ash was able to tame such a ferocious Pokemon, considering the it was both a fire-type and a dragon-type, and this made Giovanni more determined to get in contact with Ash so as to know the secret and to see if Ash can be manipulated.

There the footage shows Ash as Drago-Knight fought Shark-Knight, and is curious to know who Shark-Knight is, seeing that he is malevolent as well and Giovanni decided to send some other Team Rocket agents to find Shark-Knight and find out his alter ego.

As the next footage shifts to SWAT-Knight, Giovanni, Butch and Cassidy watched carefully as they saw him preparing Magnugiga as Drago-Knight and Dark Knight fought Shark-Knight, and there SWAT-Knight unleashes a barrage of ammo from the steel-type Pokemon which resulted in wrecking the area, and this made Giovanni more intrigued as he believe that SWAT-Knight can be bribed into working for Team Rocket.

Butch asked Giovanni if he is sure about this, which the Team Rocket founder said it would depend on who is the alter ego of SWAT-Knight, and if he is malevolent as well then he can be negotiated with the right price, and there he instructed Butch and Cassidy to go to that area and find a way to lure him out in the open.

"…and that's that. Find out who that guy's identity is…and see if he can be swayed…"

"Yes, boss!"

"If given the right approach we could use him…and it might benefit Team Rocket..."

"Yes, boss!"

"Good. Now get going."

"Yes, boss!"

Meanwhile, Ash was walking as he is heading back to the hotel, and he is wondering how to tell Serena, Bonnie and Clement about the encounter he had a while ago, as he looked battered and bruised, and as he is on the verge of collapsing on his knees, Serena came as she happened to pass by, and there she showed concern upon seeing his state.

"Ash!"

"S-Serena…?"

"Ash! What happened to you?"

"Uh…it's long story…"

"You looked hurt!"

"Sorry…"

"Come on…I'll help you…"

"…"

As Serena helped Ash up and slowly head back to the hotel, they failed to notice that a car is nearby, where self-proclaimed SUPER LAWYER Sullivan Kikemoutahir is on the passenger seat, as he is eyeing Ash Ketchum, as if he is observing the younger boy for a reason.

There Sullivan's driver, Gordo Yuppie, also glanced at Ash, as he appeared to be conflicted about something, especially as Sullivan appeared to be smirking as Ash is struggling to stay up, and there Gordo asked Sullivan if he knows what he is doing, which the latter smirked and assured to his driver that everything will be okay.

"Attorney…"

"Yes, Gordo?"

"You sure about this…?"

"Well..."

"…"

"I suppose I do…well…there's always a next time…let's go."

"Okay, attorney."

"Oh, once we get home…cook something for me."

After that, Sullivan told Gordo to start the car as they are going home, which the latter nodded, and started the car as they left the area, driving past Ash and Serena, and there Gordo asked if they should give the two teens a lift, which Sullivan politely decline, reasoning that Ash might catch on to something and it would put his profession and reputation at risk.

Gordo nodded and continue driving, and as the car left, Serena hailed a taxi and soon the two teens got on board and left, in which it passed by a man who appeared to be in his mid-40s, and as the man glanced at the taxi that carried Ash and Serena, he smirked in a rather malevolent way as the scene shows that the man is holding a Poke-balls, and behind him is an alley, where Abysssmasher and Abyssslasher are seen eating and disemboweling four corpses, which turn out to be homeless persons who were unfortunate to become food for the two carnivorous shark-type Pokemon.

"Eat, my pets. You'll need to replenish yourselves."

"Rrrr…"

"For now let's settle for this. Otherwise you won't be able to fight at peak levels if I don't feed you, and it'll be bad if you get killed."

"Rrrr…"

"So after this, we shall let depart…and plan on what to do with that boy…"

"Rrrr…"

Hope you liked this chapter, as the battle temporarily concluded which ended with a BANG, yet Ash survived and is being tended by Serena…

While the alter ego of Shark-Knight is finally seen, it's was only for a brief moment but he would pose a problem in future chapters, whilst the SUPER LAWYER and his servant are seen, and for some reason are INTERESTED towards Ash. More on them later on.

And Team Rocket appeared to be interestes as at what that the devices that the Poke-Fighters use, and believe that with the right approach they might bribe them into forming an alliance that would benefit Team Rocket and is now Giovanni is formulating a way to make contact with any Poke-Fighters in order to manipulate them into revealing the secrets of the devices.
