I Got Reincarnated by Kaichou: Chapter 3, Training and a New member?
~~Student Council Office.
"Well Issei, you've proven yourself quite capable as a part of the student council. But there's a few other things you need to know."
"Devils partake in something called rating games, battles between Kings and their groups, and as a pawn. You're my most important piece. Besides queens, rooks, knights and bishops, you have a special ability as a pawn."
The bespeckled girl spoke out from behind her desk. Using a white board to lecture issei on the workings of being a devil.
"As a pawn, you have the ability to promote. The same as regular chess, you can turn into any piece besides a king and gain those abilities. Rooks have incredible attack and defence, but they are extremely slow, knights are fast but lack defence, bishops excel in magic, but lack in both attack and speed. Queens are a special piece, they have the abilities of all the previous pieces, but not in the same amounts."
Issei was slightly confused at her long lecture, but he mostly understood that different pieces were good at different things.
"But you issei, once you're in territory I consider enemy territory, you can promote to any of those pieces and use their abilities to your heart's content… you should be able to feel this when I allow it."
"I see, so it should come naturally to me when im allowed to promote, sounds simple enough"
"Good. but right now you're not all that strong compared to most devils, Momo will be in charge of training you for the next young devils meeting. A meeting of the heirs of all the devil houses. Rias Gremory will be there as well. She's a devil like myself."
"So there's more devils than just us here?" he asked before it sunk in.
"Indeed. Now Momo, if you will? You can start Hyoudou's training. Don't go easy on him"
~~20 Minutes later. Kuoh Academy running track
"Come on Issei, you can do this. 10 more laps left!" Momo yelled from the side lines as she watched the tracksuit wearing brunette struggle to jog after doing many laps of the track already.
"F..fuck this is intense for a first session. 30 laps. That's 8K down. 4 kilometres to go." the boy thought to himself as he tried to power through the gruelling exercise. Only being able to do a 5k in any decent time before now.
And this regime continued on for the next month. Every day. EVERY day. 30 laps of the school's running track in the morning.
By the end of the school week he looked exhausted, but Ruruko decided to join in for Saturdays training. Having brought a large thermos for the boy as they stood at the start line.
"Thank you for the tea Ruruko." he thanked his kouhai before cracking open the thermos to drink its contents.
"You looked like you needed it, also Kaichou asked me to help you with flight training after today. You'll still be doing laps though"
With the thought of more running in circles it crushed his mood. But the tea gave him the energy to do it for today at least.
By the time lunch was coming up. He had not long finished the 30 laps required of him.
"New personal best Issei. How about we get some lunch then on to some flight lessons to warm down? '' Momo suggested as the boy looked close to passing out from exhaustion.
With a defeated look on his face. All the boy wanted was the biggest burger he could get his hands on, following the girls towards the town's busy shopping street.
While they were all sitting in a park after a quick visit to the local 7/11 something weird happened.
They spotted a blonde nun, using magic to heal the leg of a boy that tripped and scraped their knee.
But beyond that. They felt like they were being watched from afar, with an incredible amount of malice.
"Twilight Healing… a useful sacred gear" Momo spoke as she watched the blonde girl look at a map to figure out where she was going.
"Indeed. We should tell Kaichou about this, as well as the crows watching us with that obvious malice. Or should i say watching Hyoudou here" Ruruko spoke as she looked around slightly. Trying to pinpoint where they were being watched from.
~~30 minutes later, Kuoh academy.
"So you're saying there's a nun in the town with Twilight Healing… This can only mean trouble if the fallen angels have gotten their hands on her" she spoke with a soft sigh. Knowing nothing good could come if she messed up and started a fight with the fallen angels over a sacred gear user.
"Alright. You 3 wait here, I'll gather the rest and we can maybe devise a plan. I've heard reports of a stray priest in the town so he may be connected to this somehow"
Waiting in the office issei and the girls sat on the sofa while they waited for their teammates to arrive.
After a decent half hour. All of the student council were gathered in the office. Looking at Sona as she laid out a plan on the white board in front of them.
In front of them was a neatly drawn map of a street, with a box for the house we were to infiltrate.
"Alright, Momo, you'll be at the back of the house watching the back entrance. While Issei and Ruruko will watch the front. Tsubaki and the rest will come in with me to confront the exorcist Freed Selzen,"
She spoke pointing to a picture that was hung up on the board. Before continuing the plan
"If anything goes wrong I want everyone to teleport out. Ruruko, I'm sure you can handle a jump with Issei?"
She asked, getting an affirmative nod from the twin tailed girl.
~~Nightfall - Streets of Kuoh
Once nightfall came in the quiet town the group of devils all gathered around the house he was reported to be hiding out in. Momo slipped around the back while the rest stood out the front.
Leading the charge. Sona formed a magical circle in front of the door, charging in as a jet of water blew the wood off its hinges. The rest of the team followed in after her.
All while the brunettes were outside taking watch for any priests of fallen angels that may interfere.
~~Inside the House
"Freed, your murderous rampage ends here!" Sona spoke as she prepared another magic circle. Standing behind her queen, Tsubaki who was holding up a big mirror with magic, nullifying any of the bullets he fired out of his gun.
But he then focused his assault on the blade wielder of the group. Tomoe was wielding a traditional long sword, fighting against the priest who was wielding a light sword.
Their moves were too quick for some to see but it all came to a head once tomoe had to retreat, a slash over her arm and chest, making her double over in pain from the light infected wound.
"Not so tough are ya now ya filthy whore devils" He taunted with a mad grin, licking the blood off of the light blade. Taking aim with his gun to fire at the blue haired rook of the group.
"Like hell you will" the Rook spoke as she used her strength to throw a still somewhat sturdy sofa straight at him. A swift movement of his sword cutting it in half.
But that was all that she needed to make an opening. Rushing in to give him a strike straight to the solar plexus. Sending him into the wall with a loud thud and a grunt.
"Stop! What are you doing to Father Freed!" An all too familiar voice rang out. Running into the fray without understanding what was going on.
Using his strength he sat against the wall, grabbing the blonde nun and aiming the pistol straight at her skull. Taking her hostage, but she was screaming out at the sudden action. Being used as a meat shield by the one she was entrusted to.
"Fuck off you Devil scum. Otherwise ill blow her fucking brains out"
Back outside the male was getting impatient. Before hearing the nuns screams, deciding to run in without so much as a hint of hesitation, surely his training must have done something,
Being on the blind side of the priest, the pawn nodded as he felt magic power unlocking inside him. Surely a signal that he could promote.
"Promotion, rook. TAKE THIS YOU ASSHOLE!" he spoke out as he took a powerful lunge at the priest, a gauntlet forming in his hand as he punched the priest square in the jaw. Loosening his grip on the girl as he was sent through a wall this time.
"Everyone MOVE! RETREAT!" Sona pretty much screamed as most of the group teleported away, Issei picking up the blonde in his arms as he fled the house. Joined up with Ruruko outside.
"I've never done a 3 person jump before. But I'll need to try. Hold on Hyoudou" she spoke, taking the hands of both Issei and the nun. Forming a large sapphire blue magic circle under them,
~~The Student council, seconds later
All 3 of them collapsed to the ground as Ruruko didn't stick the landing, but got them there safely.
"Ummm where am i?" the nun asked. Looking around at the group of people.
"You're safe now, where isn't important right now." Sona spoke as she looked over the girl for any injuries, finding an open wound in her abdomen that must've been caused by the commotion.
With the influx of adrenaline she looked fine, but Sona had to think quickly if she was to save the girl. Pulling out a deep sapphire blue bishop piece. She prepared to do the same ritual that was performed on her newest pawn
"Hyoudou, lay her down and let me help her. She's too far gone to recover as a human, I'll need to turn her if she has any chance of living" she commanded to Issei, who diligently obliged. Laying the girl down and holding her hand
"I'm sorry It has to be this way" the boy spoke, squeezing her hand softly.
"It's fine. You have nothing to be sorry about. It's my own fault I'm like this" she spoke softly. Smiling at the boy as she lost consciousness.
