"What?"

Stiles's mouth dropped.

"There's no way that I could be pregnant!"

"The tests say otherwise!" Harry the pug declared. "You got a bun in the oven!"

Shut it, Harry!" The FBI agent snapped. He kept shaking his head. "There's no way. I mean I'm not from this universe!"

Director Claudia sighed. "Sorry to tell you this, Stiles, but it's true." She pointed to the picture. "Like the omega males of this universe, some magic came into play and now you have an inclusionary uterus to carry a bundle!"

Melissa nodded. "It's shocking, I know, Stiles, but what the Director is stating is facts. The X-rays show you are indeed pregnant and you're about six weeks along."

Six weeks!" Stiles grabbed the hair on both sides of his head. "How…How is this possible?"

Tierney meekly raised her hand. "Um, I vaguely remember Kuza saying something in our dream about transferring both souls of the two Eli's into a vessel to host them. I guess she meant a rebirth of some kind and you happen to be the perfect candidate. Yeah, you're definitely knocked up!"

"If that is the case," the sheriff frowned. "Then why choose my son? It's not like Derek and Stiles had any time to have sex…" He glared at the Alpha who embarrassingly looked away while Stiles blushed the moment his father fixated on him. His face turned to frustration. "You had sex with Derek Hale? When? How?"

Nervously, Stiles shrugged. "It kind of happened last night. You know hormones, needs, the evening sky? It was a one time thing."

"Several times actually," coughed Alpha. "We got a little carried away!"

"You horn dogs!" Allison giggled. She winked at Stiles. "You finally got some!"

Chris glared at his daughter. "Allison, honey, let's not get involved."

Noah agreed and stared angrily at both his son and Derek. "You two didn't even use protection? Stiles, I taught you better!"

Once again, Stiles shrugged. "We got caught in the heat of the moment. I mean we were both on PrEP. Who knew that I needed birth control also in this world?" He hugged his belly. "I guess you can get in the family way the first time…or several." The truth suddenly hit him. "Oh shit! I'm going to have to deliver a watermelon through my penis!"

"Relax," Derek clucked, trying to calm him. "Male omegas get cesareans, remember. It's quite common!"

Stiles his belly in disgust. "Gee thanks. Meanwhile, I have to deal with stretchmarks and my gym body will never be the same!"

Scott rolled his eyes. "What gym body? You only have a one pack."

The FBI agent scowled. "Don't body shame, Scott! I'm already dealing with self-esteem issues now that I'm an unwed mother…er, father!" He glared at Derek. "You did this to me!"

The Alpha scoffed. "It takes two to tango, babe. Plus, you weren't complaining last night when we were…"

Director Claudia raised her hand. "Enough! Emotions are running high right now, but Stiles is in the early stages of pregnancy and there is the Beast still at large hunting this unborn child and Derek Hale. One of the more extreme options would be early termination!"

In unison, Derek and Stiles shouted. "NO!"

Scott tried to be more sympathetic. "Look, bro, no one will fault you if you decide to do this. But carrying Eli puts you in harm's way and gives the Beast an opportunity to complete his sacrifice. Without the other part of the Hale bloodline, he won't be able to carry it out to turn him into the ultimate god!"

"The answer is still no, Scott!" Stiles folded his arms angrily. "It's my body, my choice! I can't do that to the souls of Eli growing inside me. Yeah, it's weird but this kid deserves a chance and I'm seeing it through! I'm not aborting! "

"I second that!" Derek jumped in. "I already lost a son to this bizarre magical transfer. I won't lose him again! This version of Eli deserves a life and we'll find a way to stop the Beast with or without your help!"

Being the voice of reason, Melissa interjected calmly. "Please! Both fathers, especially Stiles, are going to need all our support and protection! And Stiles, especially, will need prenatal care. That thing is still out there and will eventually make its way back to kill both Derek and Stiles. We need to be on the same page!"

Chris put his arm around Melissa. "She's right! All this bickering is getting us nowhere! Do we have a plan on how to track the Beast and to stop him?" He looked at the Director.

Claudia exhaled. "Right now, we don't. So far, our weapons have proven futile and we still don't know how to eliminate this monster. For now, let's relocate the two fathers to a safe zone until we can figure out how to finally kill the Beast."

"My cottage is compromised so that's no help!" Derek protested. "It's been destroyed!"

"I do apologize, Derek," said Claudia sternly. "But we have more pressing matters like protecting my future grandchild. As of now, I am calling a truce to our dispute for the sake of both Stiles and the baby. Agreed?"

Derek's reluctance showed through his eyes. "Agreed."

"Anyone want to take bets when they'll kill each other?" Harry the pug teased.

Right now, it was anyone's game.

The ASA Apartments

San Francisco, CA

An hour drive away to the Bay Area from Lighthouse Cove, Director Claudia had an ASA safehouse disguised as a series of high end apartments in the downtown area of San Francisco. Underneath the building, an ASA facility kept watch as the residents were either part of the operative programming or in the pack's case were under their protection. As Scott and his friends were set up inside the building, Stiles and Derek were given a two bedroom flat to share while Harry the pug settled in as their third roommate.

"Say! This place is swanky!" Harry the pug noted as he ate from his food bowl that was placed near the windows that overlooked the gorgeous view of the city. "Can we live here permanently?"

"It's temporary," replied Stiles, rubbing his belly as he thought about the strange child growing inside of him. This was all very new to him. "Besides, we still need to work with the ASA in figuring out a way to takedown the Beast."

Derek Hale, who had been sitting on the couch, saying nothing, observed Stiles as he looked out the window. Since the revelation of the pregnancy, the pair had very little words from last night's attack to being relocated to this new apartment. He decided to speak up. "More importantly, how are you feeling?"

Stiles turned to him and sighed. "I don't know. It's still a shock. Finding out that I'm preggers and having to deal with the pressure of protecting this kid. I'm just trying to hold it together." Out of the blue, the tears started falling. "Oh great! The hormones are kicking in and I'm turning into a Hallmark movie!"

Derek got up from the couch. "Hey! Hey!" He ran over and hugged him. The strong embrace and the scent of him reduced Stiles to a puddle. The Alpha never felt so good. With his arms firmly in place, Derek Hale held him close as the FBI agent returned the favor and hugged him back as he continued to cry into his chest. "My Stiles went through the same thing…except for the murderous, killing Beast thing, but this is normal during pregnancy. We'll get through this!"

Wiping his eyes, Stiles slowly withdrew. "Derek, I appreciate the support. I do. This is just weird for me. Back in my world, men don't get pregnant and they certainly don't enjoy showing too much emotion. It's this hypermasculinity, macho thing."

"Yeah," Derek rolled his eyes. "Your universe sounds fucked up. I get this is all weird and strange for you but the end result is something wonderful. Trust me. Having Eli Junior was the one thing that I don't regret and he helped me heal through the process of losing my Stiles. I accept his rebirth and he has someone chosen to protect him when this is all over."

Stiles frowned. "That's just it. When this version of Eli is born, what is going to happen to me? To him? Can I just walk away and go back to my world or will I grow attached…what am I saying? I'm already attached. I know the circumstances of his birth are unorthodox but I don't want this kid to feel abandoned."

Derek shook his head. "He won't be." He held both sides of Stiles's face. "He has me. His father. I managed to raise Eli Junior as a single dad and I'm ready to do it again. As far as walking way, you know you don't have to. You can stay here."

The FBI agent pondered his words. It felt easy, simple, but in reality it was not. Slowly, he pushed Derek's hands away. "You make it sound like a fairytale ending, Derek. However, this is reality, it isn't. I'm not your Stiles. I'm nothing like him and you're not my Derek Hale. We're too different. I can't pretend I'm something I'm not. I'm Stiles Stilinski, a single FBI agent who is sarcastic, a pain in the ass half the time, and that invisible sidekick that no one notices. I'm not a person that can be easily loved."

Derek threw his head back. "You're exactly the Stiles I fell in love with. If your Derek is anything like me, we were scared to love but you broke through those barriers and fought hard. You and my late husband are the same, Stiles. You are kind, empathetic, and that sarcasm is what I loved most about you. Yeah, you're a slight different version of him, but, make no mistake, you're exactly like him. Maybe you being here was a second chance at happiness and I'll be damned if I let you leave me again!"

His words dug deep. Stiles began to protest. "Derek, I…" However, his mouth was cut off the moment Derek kissed him. The connection was undeniable and the FBI agent submitted. It meant a permanent place and all rhyme and reason was tossed out. The only thing that mattered was them.

Derek broke the kiss and touched his forehead to Stiles. "Feeling better?"

Still unsure, Stiles sighed. "I still don't know."

"Then I suggest we get to know each other," smiled the Alpha.

"What?" Stiles asked him confused. "How? What are you suggesting?"

"A date," said Derek confidently.

"A date?"

The Alpha nodded. "Yeah, the kind that people go on to get to know each other. I'm sure you have that in your world."

Stiles nodded. "Yeah, sure. I mean we do. We go on dates." He started rambling. "Okay, let's do this date thing to see where this goes." Then he stopped. "Hold on! I don't think the Director wants us leaving the premises!"

Derek scowled. "Claudia said to keep close. She didn't say we were prisoners here. I noticed an Italian restaurant across the street called Chez Paolo's. We won't be that far. Besides, I doubt the Beast can fly and find our new location."

Stiles shrugged. "You're right." He smiled. "Okay then, Mr. Hale. I accept your date." Derek leaned in for another kiss but Stiles stopped him and instead offered a handshake. Derek frowned.

"You serious?"

Stiles laughed. "I'm no dimestore floozy who puts out on the first date…and last night doesn't count. I'm a classy ho that needs to be properly wined and dined."

Derek raised his brows and purred. "And then you'll put out right after?"

"Offer me some tiramisu and you'll find out," Stiles purred back.

Derek grinned, took Stiles's hand to kiss it and exited into his bedroom where he closed the door. Flushed, Stiles touched his mouth where the Alpha kissed him earlier and shut his eyes to remember.

"Oh just hump him already!" Harry the pug snorted..

"Quiet, Harry!" Stiles twisted his mouth. "Or I'll have you spayed and neutered."

Hearing those words, Harry whimpered. "Shutting up now. Not a peep out of me!"

Underneath the city apartments, an ASA facility exists, set up to search and monitor threats that are both otherworldly or supernatural. Director Claudia called the pack together to plan out how they were going to stop the Beast.

"Before you came into our world," the ASA leader addressed the team. "What weapons did you bring with you that you were going to use against the Beast?"

"The kitsune, Kusa, had us create a magical concoction made of mountain ash, mistletoe and a drop of Valet blood," answered Chris. "Since we carry the Valet bloodline, both myself and Allison can place a droplet into the potion and place some of that into our weaponry."

"Good," nodded Claudia. "Our mages can multiply that potion ten times via their magic and we can coat all our artillery with it. In addition, we have explosive bullets and arrows that might work in taking down the creature."

The sheriff interjected. "It's not going to be easy. We've tried killing it several times on different worlds and we haven't been successful."

Scott jumped in. "Maybe we have a chance this time. The Beast doesn't have Kusa's teleportation magic anymore so he can't jump into another universe." He turned to Kierney who looked confused. "Isn't that right? Kusa, are you still in there?"

Tierney folded her arms and clucked her tongue. "I think she's asleep. It's like she only possesses my body when she needs something. It's not like she answers when you call on her. Talk about rude!" She pouted.

"At least she can appear when we need her," Allison pointed out. "It's going to be hard trying to fight this monster without her help."

"We'll hope she's ready for this battle," Claudia noted. "Right now, I want everyone to work with members of our ASA team and prepare for what might come. Everyone has their assignments. Now go!" She gave her orders as everyone disappeared down the hall to complete their tasks. Left alone with Noah, Claudia noticed his apprehensions and approached him.

"Are you okay, Noah?"

The sheriff shook his head. "Not really. I got a son who is miraculously carrying a child through some divine intervention, which technically makes me a grandfather, and now I have to deal with this bizarre family dynamic that I don't think therapy can fix."

Claudia sighed. "I realize this is quite a lot to take in. Male pregnancies, humans and the supernatural coexisting, and now trying to eliminate a monster that might destroy the world. I can't imagine what you're going through."

Noah sadly glanced at the ASA Director. "I can say the same of you. How do you feel seeing your dead husband and son right in front of you?"

"Truthfully," she bit her lip. "Those wounds haven't healed yet. I'll admit I was never a good parent to my Mieczyslaw. After you…I mean my husband died, I had to pick up the pieces and remain strong for him and that included having a career and supporting the both of us. I worked my ass to the bone to ensure that we have a roof over our heads, food, money, and the basic needs every child requires."

"Except love," the sheriff muttered.

Claudia angrily scowled. "Don't judge me, Noah! I was a single mother and everything I did was out of love. I hired the best nannies, sent him to the best schools, and made sure his health and well-being were alway my top priority! Yes, I worked my way as Director but everything I did was for his benefit, not mine!"

Noah folded his arms and shook his head. "However, your Stiles didn't see it that way. I mean your treatment of his son and Derek proved that last night during the argument. The one thing both our sons have in common is that they're not liars. I may not appreciate how this pregnancy came about but I will support him nonetheless because I love him. Unlike your relationship with your late son, I did everything I could when my wife died to make sure I was a present father. Went to every school function, attended every graduation, went to his sports games. Did I make mistakes? Sure. But the one thing I did right was be there when he needed me."

The ASA Director glared at him. "Are you saying I'm a bad mother?"

The sheriff shook his head again. "No, Claudia. I'm saying that maybe this baby is your second chance. You never got the closure you needed with your Stiles. Maybe this is your opportunity to finally get this with my Stiles. Whether you wish to do that is entirely up to you but, personally, I'm going to support my son because he needs me." He began to walk away. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to see him to show my love and support through this pregnancy." He turned his back and walked out of the room and down the hallway.

For once, Director Claudia was speechless.

Knocking on the apartment door, Stiles opened it up and let his father inside. Harry the pug danced around as happily smiled at the sheriff.

"Yay! A visitor!" Harry exclaimed. "Do you bring treats?"

Noah did an eye roll. "I'll never get used to pets and animals talking in this world."

"I know," snickered Stiles. "Just pretend you're Dr. Doolittle and everything will seem normal."

"So no treats?" Harry asked greedily.

Stiles went into the kitchen and poured a box and kibble into the doggy bowl. "Here ya go! Have at it!"

Harry gleefully darted to the food bowl and began chowing down.

"Man, he eats a lot," the sheriff remarked. "Better watch his girlish figure."

"I'll enroll him in Woof Watchers later," grinned the FBI agent. "What's up?"

Noah looked around. "Where's Derek?"

"He went out to grab some burgers," said Stiles. "Did you know that there is a Queen Burger in this universe too? I told him to get me a Combo 1 since I'm eating for two now." He rubbed his belly. "Weird, I'm already getting those pregnancy cravings."

His father sighed. "About that. Um…uh, be honest, son. How are you really feeling about this whole thing?"

"Honesty…" Stiles paused. The tears started to flow. "I'm fucking scared, Dad!" He started to sob and ran to his father who embraced him and let him cry it all out. "I…don't know…what I'm…doing…" He whimpered. "I'm…trying…to keep…it together…but…failing…"

Noah patted his back as his son's tears soaked his shirt. "It's okay, son. I'm here. Your friends and even Derek are all here to support you through this."

Stiles pulled away and wiped his face. "Damn, these pregnancy hormones are no joke!" He blushed as he looked at his father. "And how are you feeling, Dad? Disappointed?"

The sheriff shook his head. "I'll admit in the beginning it was quite a shock but I'm taking it in slowly and accepting it. Give me a little time. Like you said, it's all too weird."

The FBI agent walked over to the kitchen, grabbed a paper towel and blew his nose. "I know. One day I'm this single, bachelor operative and the next I'm a male mommy complaining about the typical pregnancy issues."

"What I'm more concerned about is your relationship with this universe's Derek," the sheriff commented. "Are you in love with him?"

Stiles hesitated as he thought about it. He had no answer and simply shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know, Dad. I know he isn't the Derek from our world but there are elements of him that I can't stop thinking about and the fact that we're having a kid together isn't really helping matters. Right now, I'm just trying to process and figure things out."

"Son," Noah told him. "It's going to be much harder when you give birth and have to leave this version of Eli behind in this universe. Can you really do that?"

The question hit him hard. Everything was happening so fast that Stiles did not realize the consequences of having to leave his child, a part of himself, to be raised alone by a single father like Derek Hale. Did he have the courage to make such a sacrifice?

"I don't know, Dad." Stiles answered. "I really don't know."

"I hope you figure it out soon," suggested the sheriff. "Because it will be harder having to leave this universe with your feelings unresolved." He made his way back to the front. "Whatever you decide, Stiles, you know you have my love and support."

"I know, Dad," said his son quietly.

Noah exited the apartment, allowing Stiles to ponder his father's words. What were his true feelings for Derek and were they worth it?

Jungfernheide Forst

Berlin, Germany

Sebastien Valet watched as the body of the man he killed was slumped over in his chair, his throat ripped out and blood splattered all over the living room wall of the cabin he owned deep in the woods of Jungfernheide. Going into the owner's bedroom, he ripped open a hidden safe in the wall and pulled out a stack of euros and deutsche marks that the dead man had kept. Along that were passports, documents, and even credit cards to which the Beast stuffed into his human pockets.

He growled in anger at the kitsune who teleported him to Germany during their last battle but remembered a small piece of a tail that he kept from her. It sparked a bit but even that was not enough magic to portal jump to where his targets were hiding. However, it was a bit of a clue to track down where Derek Hale and his son could be now located. He just needed some time. Looking at the documents and identifications, he would find someone to falsify passports and ID's and then board a flight back to the U. S. In Germany, there were hundreds of fraudsters. He just needed to seek out one.

Then once he was in America, he would find the Hales and kill them.

Hence, finally making him a true god!
