A/N: Hello, my loyal Dillon/Lulu readers. Due a recent request by Ghdilusprinafan, as well as others, Pugster23, shealuna19, blueeyedmentalistfan, and GGRoganTroryCory2017, I decided to finish this story. This story will be updated every Saturday after this one due to my work schedule. Hope you enjoy the results and will let me know what you think in the review box. I know it has been a VERY long time since I have updated. But, being there are only 3 chapters posted before this one, I thought you could just reread the first three. Also, I wanted to let everyone know something in case not everyone knew. Please check your settings on fanfiction. Fanfiction has made it difficult to simply follow anymore, and after 6 months, you have to make sure your email opt-in settings are correct. So, for that reason, so you don't miss any updates to this story, please feel free to follow/favorite. For those that already have, thank you! I know the site has been acting weird. Any questions, feel free to PM me. I'll be happy to answer to the best of my ability.

Chapter 4
(In a way, Lulu was dreading her talk with Dante. She needed to decide if she could handle being with him again, considering what happened with Valerie. Dante offered for them to move someplace new, but would that even make a difference? Lulu had her faults, too. In regards to the situation with her brother, Lucky. Valerie seemed to remind her every chance she got. Lulu tried to treat Valerie like family. However, she was really getting tired of Valerie's attitude on the subject. Lulu got the impression that Valerie felt she had power because of her sexual encounter with Dante. Dante opened up to Valerie about a lot of things. That didn't make Lulu very happy)
(Lulu walks into the police station. When she doesn't see Dante or Nathan at their desks, she assumes that they are on a case. Just as Lulu is about to make her exit, Valerie walks by)
Valerie: "Lulu."
Lulu: (nods) "Valerie."
Valerie: "Dante isn't here. He's on a case with Nathan."
Lulu: (nods) "Yeah, I figured as much when I didn't see him."
(Just as Lulu is about to turn around and leave, Valerie takes a step forward)
Valerie: "Can we talk?"
Lulu: (confused) "About what?"
Valerie: "Everything that's happened. I think we need to clear the air."
Lulu: (sighs nervously) "I-I don't think that's a good idea right now."
Valerie: (sincerely) "Please? You don't have to talk if you don't want to. Just listen."
(Lulu couldn't help but be a little wary of it. She knew, however, that Valerie wouldn't let it go until they talked. She sighs deeply and lets Valerie lead her to the interrogation room. Valerie shuts the door behind her before the two women are face to face. Lulu is against the wall and Valerie is by the front door)
Valerie: "First off, I'm sorry that I hurt you. I never should have slept with Dante. I guess we got caught up in the moment."
Lulu: (tilts her head) "Valerie, one of you could have stopped. I know I played a part in it, though."
Valerie: (raises her eyebrows) "You mean when your secret led Dante to believe you were sleeping with Dillon?"
Lulu: (nods) "Yes. In all truth, Valerie, what happened between Dillon, Dante, and I had nothing to do with you."
(Valerie looks at her cousin weirdly, causing Lulu to clarify)
Lulu: "Yes, you're my cousin. But you had nothing to do with the situation...other than sleeping with my husband."
Valerie: (defensively) "You let Dante believe you were getting close to Dillon."
Lulu: (gestures) "Valerie, you said you saw me and Dillon in an embrace. Also that I made it sound like Dante can never know the secret. If you would have asked what we were hugging about, you would've known I wasn't cheating on Dante. Furthermore, you wouldn't have made Dante believe it, too."
Valerie: (scoffs) "Lulu, how did I make Dante believe it? I just told him what I saw."
(Lulu takes a step towards Valerie and tries to remain calm)
Lulu: "Without asking me what you saw and not seeing the whole thing? Valerie, if you thought something was going on, you should have asked. Instead, you went to Dante with only the partial truth. Yes, Dillon and I were keeping something from Dante. Instead of asking, you ran with your theory."
(Valerie places her hands on her hips and scoffs in response. Valerie knew Lulu was right, though. Valerie went straight to Dante without confronting Lulu first. She had to admit that she didn't like being wrong. She attempts to defend herself)
Valerie: "Lulu, you should have been honest with Dante from the get go. He truly felt that you cheated on him with Dillon. He even saw the messed up bed that you shared with Dillon."
Lulu: "Yes, but Dante never stayed to confront me or ask me about it. I understand he was hurt. However, if he would have asked me, I would have told him the truth." (shakes her head) "Instead, he just left. In my opinion, you didn't make matters any better when you told him you thought I was cheating."
(Valerie's eyes widen in response. She starts to walk around the table and talks)
Valerie: "Are you saying it's my fault that I told Dante what I saw?"
Lulu: (nods) "Yes. The reason? You didn't get the whole story. Both you and Dante didn't give me a chance to defend myself. Yes, I lied about what happened to my brother. But you two just drew your own conclusions in the end."
(Lulu tries to remain calm but Valerie was pissing her off. Lulu decides to make another confession of some sorts)
Lulu: "It also was no secret that you have feelings for my husband. How do I know? Dante told me. He also said sleeping with you was the biggest mistake of his life."
(Valerie looks away as she tries to control her tears. Deep down, she knew she had no chance with Dante. It didn't change the fact that she was already falling for him. Valerie decides to take one more crack at her now nemesis)
Valerie: "It doesn't change the fact that your husband slept with me because he felt you slept with Dillon."
(Lulu knew Valerie was trying to piss her off. While Lulu was mad, she wasn't going to give Valerie the satisfaction of getting in her face. Lulu couldn't help but smirk a little as she made her next comment)
Lulu: "It doesn't change the fact that Dante doesn't love you. He never will. He only turned to you because he was mad at me."
(Valerie can't take anymore. She runs towards Lulu from by the front door with the intentions of assaulting her. Before Valerie can reach her enemy, the interrogation room opens with Dante rushing to keep Valerie back)
Dante: (yells) "What the hell?!"
Valerie: (screams) "Let go of me so I can tear this bitch's eyes out!"
(Lulu just remains calm as she watches Dante put Valerie in the corner. Dante looks at Valerie sternly)
Dante: "Stay there or I'll handcuff you. I mean it."
(Valerie just folds her arms in a huff as Dante faces Lulu)
Dante: "What the hell happened?"
Lulu: "Valerie wanted to talk, despite my hesitations."
Valerie: (scoffs incredulously) "Watch, Dante. She'll spin it around to make me the villain."
(Dante points at Valerie angrily)
Dante: "Enough! I mean it!" (to Lulu) "Go on."
Lulu: "I didn't want to talk, but she asked me to listen then. I defended myself. I told her that, yes, it was my fault that you believed I was unfaithful. I then told her that instead of confronting me about what she heard in the hallway with Dillon outside our loft, she chose to run straight to you. She then threw it in my face that you slept with her. I threw it back in her face that you only slept with her because you were mad at me."
(Dante turns around to face Valerie and nods)
Dante: "That's true. Valerie, I care about you as a person, yes. But I love my wife. I don't care how mad at her I was, I never should have slept with you."
Valerie: (raises her eyebrows) "Even though you practically said your marriage was over?"
Dante: (shakes his head) "Whether or not I felt it was over, I turned to you when I shouldn't have. For that, I'm sorry."
(With tears running down her cheeks, she scoffs)
Valerie: "You do know that she's only going to hurt you in the end, right? Dante, she lied to you!"
Dante: "To be fair, I lied to her, too. I kept our tryst a secret when I shouldn't have. That was my fault as I will forever be sorry."
(Valerie angrily points at Dante)
Valerie: "Don't come running back to me when she breaks your heart again!"
(She leaves the room in a huff. Dante and Lulu face each other)
Dante: (concerned) "Are you okay?"
Lulu: (nods & smiles briefly) "Yeah. You?"
Dante: (nods) "Yes."
Lulu: (confused) "How did you know where to find me?"
Dante: "Guy at the front desk said you were looking for me. That you seemed nervous when Valerie asked to talk in here. Something told me the conversation wouldn't be pretty."
Lulu: (shakes her head) "No, it wasn't. I knew the talk wouldn't end well, but I thought I'd give it a chance." (rolls her eyes) "Silly me."
(Dante offers her comfort by playing with her hair slightly)
Dante: "No, you're not silly. You tried to be fair."
Lulu: (smiles a little) "Thank you for believing me."
Dante: "I've known you a hell of a lot longer."
Lulu: (laughs) "True."
Dante: (clears his throat nervously) "If you don't mind me asking, why were you looking for me?"
Lulu: "We need to talk about your proposition."
Dante: "About trying again and living somewhere else?"
Lulu: (nods) "Yes."
Dante: (nervously) "Did you make a decision?"
Lulu: (apprehensively) "I think so."
***Quartermaine Mansion***
(Dillon is currently at the desk on his laptop in the living room. He had been trying to concentrate for the last hour or two, with no luck. He sighs deeply as he leans back in his chair. He shakes his head in frustration)
Dillon: "This is hopeless."
Woman: "What's hopeless?"
(Dillon looks at the woman entering the living room, revealing his mother, Tracy)
Dillon: "Hi, mom."
Tracy: "You look stressed."
(She stops when she reaches him and rests her hand on his shoulder)
Dillon: "I've been trying to focus on this scene in my latest movie. I can't win."
(She folds her arms and tilts her head)
Tracy: "There's a reason why you can't focus. What is it?"
(He looks at her in confusion)
Dillon: "What reason could there be?"
Tracy: "Oh, maybe the fact that you're pining over someone who's technically taken...married, in fact."
(Dillon looks at her like she's lost her mind)
Dillon: "Excuse me?"
Tracy: (chuckles) "Oh, Dillon. You should know by now that I can read you like a book."
(Dillon attempts to tease his mother. He folds his arms and leans back in his chair, smirking)
Dillon: "Okay, mom. I'll bite. What am I thinking?"
Tracy: "That you wish Lulu would choose you over Dante. The way you talk about her or from what I've heard, your feelings for her are very much real."
(Dillon shakes his head and gets up from his chair, walking past his mother. Tracy turns around and knew she hit the jackpot)
Tracy: "There's nothing wrong with loving someone, honey."
(Dillon turns around as he sits on the couch. Tracy goes to sit next to him)
Dillon: "There is if she's married to someone else."
Tracy: "If my memory serves me right, Dante cheated on her with her own cousin."
Dillon: (shrugs) "It doesn't mean she stopped loving him."
Tracy: (smiles) "Doesn't it make a difference that you met her first years ago?"
Dillon: (scoffs) "I wish."
Tracy: (shrugs) "Does she know how you truly feel?"
Dillon: "I believe so. I didn't want to put any pressure on her as I know she's trying to sort out her feelings."
Tracy: (nods) "That's very considerate of you, considering most guys don't care about that." (nods & smiles) "You are a true gentleman, Dillon Quartermaine."
Dillon: (raises his eyebrows) "I sometimes wonder if I am one."
Tracy: (confused) "Why do you say that?"
Dillon: (sighs guiltily) "Let's just say I did something that I'm not proud of. I hurt Lulu because of it. It wasn't my intention. Valerie knows about it and warned me that sooner or later it'll come out."
Tracy: (nods) "It sounds like you need to tell her before she hears it from someone else."
Dillon: "Next time I see her, I will."
Tracy: "If you don't mind me asking, what was it?"
Dillon: (sighs) "You'll be ashamed of me."
Tracy: (seriously) "You know me better than that. I may be upset with you, honey, but never ashamed."
Dillon: (sighs deeply) "The night of my movie debut on the Haunted Star...the footage I played was supposed to be of my movie. Instead, it was of me and Valerie discussing Dante's betrayal."
Tracy: "You did it on purpose, didn't you?"
(Dillon lowers his head in shame, confirming her question)
Tracy: (tilts her head) "What did you hope to gain from that?"
Dillon: "That Lulu would see Dante for the cheater that he is. Yeah, he's not the greatest guy. Neither am I, though."
Tracy: "If she is truly your friend as well as has true feelings for you, she will understand. Will she be pissed off?" (nods) "Yes. But something tells me she'll forgive you in time."
Dillon: (rolls his eyes) "Mom, I cheated on Georgie years ago with Lulu back when we were teens. That was a mistake as well. But I don't think things will ever be the same now."
Tracy: (nods sympathetically) "I think they will."
Dillon: (puzzled) "How can you be so sure?"
Tracy: (smiles) "She may not have admitted it yet, honey, but it's clear how she feels. You say she is confused by her feelings? Deep down, she has loved you since she was a teenager. Yes, the situation back then wasn't ideal. You and her were both wrong in hurting Georgie. Even though Georgie is no longer alive, I'd like to think that back then, she eventually forgave you." (nods) "Soon, when Lulu is ready, she will admit her true feelings. Unlike Dante Falconeri, you're patient and love her...faults and all."
Dillon: (nods) "I do love her, mom."
Tracy: "Fate will bring you two back together. You just have to give it time."
