Chapter 5

***PCPD***

Lulu: (brief smile) "I think I'm ready to give you my answer."

(Dante can't help but smile wide at her revelation)

Dante: "I'm so happy to hear you say that."

(He leans forward, but stops himself from kissing her)

Dante: (chuckles nervously) "Sorry. I want to kiss you, but I know it's too soon."

(Lulu places a few strands of hair behind her ear)

Lulu: "I…I need a little bit of time to sort everything out." (shakes her head) "I wish I could, but I haven't completely forgiven you for everything yet."

(Dante quickly shakes his head with compassion)

Dante: "No, I completely understand. I'm willing to do everything I can to secure our relationship." (nods) "If that means giving you some much needed space, I'll do it."

Lulu: (smiles politely) "Thank you."

(Meanwhile, Valerie is in the locker room at the PCPD. She can't help but curse up a storm that she lost Dante…again. All of a sudden, she feels a pain in her stomach)

Valerie: "Ouch!"

(She holds her tummy with her hands)

Valerie: "Why would my stomach be hurting? I had breakfast and I was feeling fine before my little 'chat' with Lulu."

(Valerie thinks for a moment)

Valerie: "It's probably just nerves."

(A thought then comes to her, causing her to gasp slightly)

Valerie: "I just realized something. I haven't gotten my period yet."

(After thinking for a moment, a smile creeps on her face as she wonders if she could be pregnant because her and Dante didn't use protection, At least, she doesn't think they did….)

***Hours Later***

(Dillon comes face to face with Lulu on the Haunted Star. They say their 'hellos')

Dillon: "We need to talk. There is something I need to tell you."

Lulu: (slightly concerned) "What's wrong? You sound serious."

Dillon: "I hope you'll still be my friend after what I tell you."

(Lulu turns her head slightly)

Lulu: "Okay, it sounds urgent."

Dillon: (nods) "It is."

Lulu: "What is it about?"

Dillon: "The night you were supposed to see my new film. There's more to the story…"

(Lulu can't help but take a step back in caution)

Lulu: "Okay, Dillon, you're scaring me."

Dillon: "I'm not trying to. But, it's time you finally learned the truth." (gulps) "I just hope you'll forgive me."
