It was the next day, the final day to claim Heart Pieces at the World Duel Carnival, where everyone is out to scrounge for Heart Pieces before it's too late. Roku went back to the Duel Sanctuary after remembering an old student of his was visiting today, and wished them all luck at the carnival. So they all moved, and managed to win some matches where they achieved more victories at hand while keeping an eye out for either Kite, or the Arclights with Vetrix.
Right now Nistro, and Dexter were on there own Heart Piece hunting since there decision to join the World Duel Carnival was a last minute decision but throughout the few hours they succeeded in finding some Heart Pieces as experts there pretty much getting some easy work. For Dextra she feels satisfied to win matches to be closer towards Kite's sake after her attempt to ask Chara about it failed over, but Nistro desires for an even bigger challenge at the skill or level the other duelists are in.
But they received unexpected help from there younger colleague after informing him of there decision.
Flashback...
"Huh?"
Chara blinked shocked in a holographic call with Dextra, and Nistro together a few hours earlier about there decision. "You two are quitting the Security Buis, to join the World Duel Carnival?"
"Yeah, we dueled your siblings and well... they lit a fire under me." Nistro grinned at the memory. "You have a strong family."
"Oh Sora, and Claire are really that strong?" Chara softly smiled at the memory of his siblings on how far they've grown since they were born while the Dark Signers attacked now as young people fighting for the Numbers. "They've come a long way since they were born in New Domino City. You did inform Mr. Heartland about it right? You know how he is about doing it behind his back..."
"We have permission." Dextra nodded.
"Well you two good luck. Your gonna need it since you two decided to do it with just one day left." Chara admitted over before then getting an idea. "Oh I got an idea. I know a duelist you two can try if he's still competing."
"Oh, who would that be?" Nistro inquired.
"His name is Nelson Andrews. He dueled Yuma not too long ago, and he is really good." Chara explained over leaving out the part about the numbers. "I noticed his name in the World Duel Carnival applicants, and he can maybe be a good challenge for either of you."
"Nelson Andrews, the celebrity?" Nistro recalled only to grin. "That could be fun."
"The Sparrow himself. I wish you two luck." With that Chara hanged up.
End Flashback...
"Who've thought Chara would tell us about an opponent?" was Dextra's voice in a allyway as they are shown to show how many Heart Pieces they both have already halfway through.
"I agree." Nistro grinned. "I wonder how skilled this Nelson Andrews really is."
Just then they heard some cheering. Curiously they walked out of the ally to find a duel about to end.
"Now to finish you off! D.D. Esper Star Sparrow attack him directly! Mega Punch Surprise!"
Star Sparrow charged in giving a large punch to an opponent who cried out landing on the ground.

The person using Star Sparrow was none other then Nelson who grinned over from the victory. "As I promised, I shall now resume autographing!" Almost instantly a crowd of fangirls surround him at the front leaving his backside exposed as he raised his hands over. "Everyone please calm down, and for a line, ok? I promise to sign all of your-"
"That must be him, you want this one Dextra?" Nistro asked grinning.
Dextra stared over before turning to him. "No, he's yours Nistro. You did say you want a better challenge."
"Then this should be my fifth Heart Piece." Nistro grinned walking over. "Your name's Nelson?"
Overhearing him Nelson turned over with the fangirls seeing him. "Yes that's me as the Sparrow. And you are?"
"My name's Nistro, and I'm here because I heard you're a talented duelist in the World Duel Carnival." Nistro grinned revealing his four heart pieces.
Nelson grinned over. "Well I can see you been informed." He held up a Heart Piece set of three pieces. "Right now I need two more Heart Pieces to advance to the finals, and I think yours will do nicely."
"That is if you can beat me." Nistro grinned. "I don't plan on holding back against you."
"Well let's see!"
Unaware to them, Flip is seeing them before running off to find Yuma, and the others.
"Alright Duel Disk go!" Nelson readied his Duel Disk while Nistro readied it with a grin. "Duel Gazer! Let's roll!"
Nistro's tattoo appeared while Dextra's appeared to watch interested what Nelson can do.
"Duel Interface Set. Augmented Reality Vision Link Established." the computer said as all the visors glowed.

Kusanagi absorbed one of his Overlay into his blade making it glow as he slashed through the barrier.

"Maybe so but they can be used to end this duel now." Nistro looked confused hearing that as Nelson gestured to Ironhammer, "I'll prove it by using Ironhammer's special ability!" Ironhammer raised a palm as Star Sparrow jumped on it. "Once every turn, a monster on my field can attack directly!"
"A direct attack!?" Nistro cried in shock.
"And now face defeat! Esper Star Sparrow attack with Mega Punch Surprise!"
Ironhammer the Giant swung his arm which provided the boost for Star Sparrow to jump over Nistro's monsters to the man himself launching down to throw a punch at him.

"And Fairy Meteor Crush deals piercing damage when the equipped monster attacks a Defense Position Monster!" Caswell added as Excalibur generated a large sword raising it up to symbolized nothing will stop it.
"Now, Excalibur attack him directly!" Nistro called. "Shock Sword Slash!"
"Ah impossible!" Nelson cried with his face-down Call of the Haunted unable to stop it. Despite knowing it's pointless he has to make a last stand. "Esper Star Sparrow's effect activates! Revive once more!"
Esper Star Sparrow quickly shot out of the graveyard defending Nelson in front of him, and halting Excalibur's attack although briefly.

"Too little too late." Nistro smirked as Excalibur sliced Star Sparrow in half.
Star Sparrow cried out as Nelson got struck pushed back screaming as his mask was blown off.

With the end of the duel Nistro grinned walking over to Nelson and offering a hand. "You have potential, but your strategies still need some work."
Nelson slowly looked up to him before accepting the hand as Nistro helped him up, and shake. "Right. I'll get better." Taking out his Heart Pieces he take one out, and hand it for Nistro to take.
Nistro took it before pausing as he noticed Yuma and the others. "Well, fancy seeing you here."
"Nistro." Sora said over his name before asking curiously. "What are you doing in the World Duel Carnival?"
"Your a contestant now?" Claire asked surprised.
"Not just him." they looked seeing Dextra walked over greeting. "It's been a while since we last met each other Sora, and Claire Princeton."
"Is Chara competing too?" Claire asked seeing that.
"Nah. We've only let him know we're competing, and he guided us to the direction of bird boy." Nistro explained with a grin over turning to Nelson who softly smiled before turning to try finding another match, and deal with his fans. "So sorry but we don't have the time right now but we're looking forward to facing you two in the finals."
Sora and Claire both smiled hearing that.
"How many Heart Pieces do you all have? There's not much time left to qualify for the finals." Dextra pointed out.
"I just gotten my last one." Sora admitted showing his full Heart Piece set.
"Same to me." Claire shows hers.
"I won my fifth just before we came over here." Tori revealed as Rio nodded showing she had five heart pieces.
"Actually, we're just waiting to see if Yuma can get his fifth heart piece... he has four of them." Rio mentioned.
"Well Yuma you better hurry up." Nistro smirked over towards Yuma.
"I know!" Yuma groaned. "I just need to find one more opponent... I have plenty of time right?"
"You can try Dextra." Caswell suggested over. "I don't think she has a complete set yet."
Dextra nodded to confirm showing she has four Heart Pieces. "Yes I don't. But not to offend, I'll take one of you on sometime later. For now I need to make sure I'm in the finals."
"Well alright, see you two later." Tori smiled.
They nodded walking out as the others walked the other way together.
"So Claire, Sora... can I ask you two something?" Caswell asked the two.
"What is it?" Sora asked curiously.
"Well I had been wondering... Your uncle, Chara. We all heard about him, he's a great influence over Heartland City here, and Nistro with Dextra spoke about him. Even rumored to be the next Mayor of Heartland City. What does he do?" Caswell asked them curiously.
"You mean our older brother, well he's in charge of security... he actually works with Nistro and Dextra." Claire answered smiling.
"How good of a duelist is he?" Flip asked them with his own question. "We had heard of his skills in the WRGP before but what kind of a duelist is he to you?"
"He's in a league of his own, we're nowhere near as skilled as he is." Sora answered. "At least... not yet anyway, he's an amazing duelist."
"You saw his skill against Tommy remember Yuma?" Claire asked him.
"Yeah using this Deck... I think Gold Paladin?" Yuma cupped his chin in thought. "Well he managed to beat any Number, Tom used when Number Archive had him."
"Exactly, he's incredibly skilled." Sora smiled. "Actually, according to mom the Gold Paladin deck changed history."
"Changed history?" was the sound of everyone except Sora, Claire, and Tori while Astral looks interested above.
"Interesting it really changed the course of history? How so?" Astral asked over curiously.
"It's a long story, I can call mom and see if she can explain it... Sora and I were just babies when it all happened and when..." Claire started before frowning and hugging Tori.
Tori softly hugged her back with tears in her eyes as they watched worried for them.
"You know there's nothing wrong if you explain now." was the voice of Chara as they looked seeing him with Luna, and Tommy in his arms were in front of them with Luna holding some shopping bags.
"An alternative future version of Chara from a timeline where the Ener-D Reactor killed almost everyone." Sora frowned recalling what he had been told. "He wanted to keep that from happening by dropping the future New Domino City on the present one."
"What?" Yuma looked shocked at that.
"Yeah... he gathered some friends, and formed a group called Illaster." Tori added with tears in her eyes. Machines known as the Meklord Emperors were created to destroy Synchro Monsters but they attacked humans as a result."
"Chara's future self was a scientist, and he had took the fight to the Meklords. Using a Deck he created after abandoning the Gold Paladins' original selves the Royal Paladins, he managed to destroy the Meklord's leader, Mekanikle." Claire frowned with slight tears holding Tori close to her. "Even with Mekanikle gone the Meklords still attacked, and a ditch opened where..."
"Luna's future self fell down, never to be seen again." Chara finished over with tears wrapping an arm around Luna who leaned close to him. "He decided to try preventing that type of future by going back through time to end where it all began. New Domino City. Allying with friends including Agate they attacked, and although a hard battle was fought we managed to defeat Illaster, and I unlocked the power of the Gold Paladins which is where history is changing... but it didn't end without a casualty on our end."
Yuma's eyes just widened in disbelief. "Wait... you mean Chara killed Tori's dad?"
"No." Luna shook her head with tears. "That witch Agate was who done it. He, and Muffet faced Agate, and though they won the duel she tried to kill Muffet... but he pushed her out of the way."
That's when Chara suddenly frowned. "It's... more complicated than that too."
"So Agate was always there at the beginning? Since you were born?" Bronk asked over.
Luna shook her head. "Not at first... Agate was suppose to die originally due to a spell she made that created Betty. And that thing the Anomaly or Damien was suppose to not exist. But..."
"My future self stepped in, and stopped her from dying." Chara finished looking down. "He offered her a place in Illaster to destroy Monsterkind in return for her services. This lead her to create Damien who had been a big enemy on our side since Mom, and dad were students in Duel Academy before I was born."
"And... she's our ancestor." Sora added frowning. "We're related to her, honestly there are days I feel like our family is just cursed. All of this, it just never feels like it's going to end."
"Agate... is your grandmother?" Yuma asked shocked.
"In some ways... but I'm also different." Chara said over. "She had a brother, and a sister. Her sister was Amber who I think you all know before... and her brother... that's me."
"Your her brother?" Caswell asked confused. "How is that? I mean you weren't born for thousands of years before then right?"
"Are you familiar at all with reincarnation? I'm the reincarnation of Agate's brother Copper, that's who uncle Asriel and aunt Betty named their son after." Chara explained before pausing as they noticed someone approaching.
Noticing him looking over they turned over.
"Yuma Tsukumo, I challenge you a duel." Trey declared with a cold expression on his face.
"Huh?" Yuma looked surprised seeing him.
"It's you! Quattro's brother!" Sora called shocked. "What are you doing here?"
"I just told you, I'm here to duel Yuma Tsukumo." Trey answered glaring at Yuma.
His eyes reflected off Yuma as he glared.
Earlier...
Trey walked into a room where he sees Vetrix laughing hard watching cartoons with Quinton beside him. "Too funny!" This kept on before Trey softly pressed the pause button. The laughing stops before Vetrix's seat turned over with a serious expression to talk business over. "What is it Trey?"
Quinton also turned to him.
"Vetrix. I would like to duel Yuma Tsukumo." Trey requested over to him.
"Yuma Tsukumo?" Vetrix' eye got a glint at this. "For whatever reason?"
"Back at the duel with Kite, and Sora, I had seen something with Yuma." Trey admitted over to him. "I figure I can find out if I duel him."
Vetrix stared over before getting up. "Very well Trey. I'll let you go after Yuma Tsukumo. However at your current strength, you'll be unable to do anything." Vetrix then grinned sinisterly. "But never fear I am here to help you out."
"Vetrix?" Trey asked in surprise hearing that.
"I will give you some of the power I took from Hart... it will be enough for you to control Number 6." Vetrix held up a card. "Chronomaly Atlandis!"
Trey's eyes widened at that.
"Are you sure that's wise, that Number is exceptionally powerful." Quinton noted.
"I wouldn't have said that if I'm not sure." Vetrix laughed manically. "We can begin now right Trey."
"Right." Trey nodded.
So after a painful transfusion, and Trey testing on Chromonaly Atlandis he is ready to face Yuma.

Which leads us to where we are to Trey challenging Yuma with a glare.

Ulrich362: True, the next duel is going to be... very intense to say the least.
bopdog111: To admit me, and Ulrich together are nervous for this next match which is a first since I usually am confident for it but for something as grand, and as intense as Yuma, and Trey a battle between friends now for revenge it's gonna be difficult.
