Minerva was silent. She knew what was happening and did not wish to know, she did not relax, and she did not know what the next move would be as she looked at Matias. She paused and thought of the next option on the board.

"You should be ready for anything. We are going to be fighting a war against the enemy soon…" Matias stated.

He and Minerva disembarked… And the girl knew what was going to be happening. She knew more and more that she could be all too interested in it, the Lieutenant knew what was going on, and she knew more and more as she paused to grasp his hand.

He looked at her, smiling as she did so. She knew more and more that their next goal was to be impossible to deal with it.

"I should point out that the more we deal with? The more they are going to strike at our flanks… The empire does not leave survivors." Matias stated before he sighed.

He looked at her as the two began to walk toward the ships. Matias kept his hand on his pistol, knowing that if the enemy came next to something that he could not control.

"What happens after we board the ship then? We still need to march to the capital, and set up defenses to stop them there." Minerva stated before she paused to think of what to do next.

She knew that trying to fight off the enemy was more than she could relax, any attempts to fight them off would be met by violence, and all of it was going to be chaotic… From there? The war would spiral out of their control, even though she knew something was going on.

Then and only then? She could relax, she could allow it to slowly build downwards. She had been tired and she had been sick of it for now. Minerva looked at Matias who had been too tired, too worn down by it all to end.

"What do you think will happen if we manage to get out of here?" Minerva asked to which Matias hummed.

"I do not know, the enemy will have predicted it and countered it a thousand different times… It is a lot like trying to swim upstream in the middle of a hurricane, maybe it might work out, maybe it will not." Matias stated before he sighed and started to think for now as she paused to try and think of it in some sort of way.

The two drew closer to the ships as they knew there were more soldiers, more chaos, and something else would come to heel as they felt more and more chaos was on their minds.

"We're going to war sooner or later, you know." She heard as she paused to look at Matias. "The more we win? The more we are going to be pushed." Matias stated, pausing to think of the next idea he had or would make for now.

She had no desire to repeat it to try and deal with it for now as she seemed to try and deal with it all.

He had so many ideas of what was going on he wanted to scream. She was not ready for it, knowing that such a thing was impossible to have messed with.

Perhaps Melissa did not know and he could not have blamed her… But he could blame himself for acting in this regard for now as she paused to try and deal with for now.

She had not yet known how she had acted… She did not know how he could have acted in his way, too interested in what came next.

All such ideas would be dealt with for now. She could not attempt to try and deal with it for now as Minerva seemed to think of it in some sort of fighting game.

The Lieutenant did not know war to the same degree he did. He had a lot more to try and figure out about her than he did anyone. It was too much to try and figure out any way for now as of this very trying time at the end of the day.

Such a thing was harder to deal with for now as he clicked his fingers before he paused, thinking of himself now.

He had not been able to keep growing more and more with such a thing was too interesting for him.

He had been too silent as the two seemed to be slowly rolling toward the ship. He was silent, he was not amused with that sort of thing… He could have dealt with something like this… Something far beyond the mannerism that he could have dealt with.

Minerva was too relaxed for now. He was too amused by anything for now as he clicked his fingers before the vehicle came to try and stop it.

He was not trying to deal with such motives. The ramp slowly started to descend to the side.

"We both know what the next move is going to be. The empire is not going to show any mercy, the next fight will be harder to handle than this." Minerva stated before Matias started to point out.

He had such an idea of it. He had a lot more on his mind… He clicked his fingers before sighing and then started to fall silent, not wanting anything to go out of place.

He had not been able to try and deal with it… He was too interested in his next move. He had been too tired, too unable to try and deal with such a moment in the cold, he was thrown off for now as he smiled at such a thing like this.

There was a lot of silence as he clicked his fingers and then paused, too exhausted to go on before he sighed once more and until the end of time.

All he could do was something to figure it all out for now as of now, knowing what was growing on his mind, that would continue for now. That and that alone seemed to be something he was trying to figure out.

To be entirely fair? He did not understand the idea of not being able to relax, to know what was coming and turn it against them at the end of the day for now as he clicked his fingers.

The soldier was silent, knowing what was going on and not what was going on, not once did he falter or even slow down at the end of the day, knowing what was happening and choosing to live with it now, he could not relax.

She sighed to herself as she placed a hand upon his. She clicked her fingers, knowing what was going on next. Minerva paused, looking upwards at the ceiling while leaning on him as the ramp finally decided to open.

They did not know about this and it would be harder to try and relax, knowing what was going on before it all ended as he clicked his fingers.

There was more to relax for now as it came down to it. He had no desire to deal with it for now.

"Run… There are going to be more soldiers here and that means more soldiers coming to try and kill both of us." Matias stated before he sighed.

He knew what he had awakened. He knew what was coming, the enemy would not know about the fleet as he had given orders entirely not to say anything about these operations.

However? it would not explain anything like that for now, knowing what was going on now. They would be found and they would be able to destroy the fleet if something bad happened.

Though, he could not exactly call it a bad plan. They were running on empty as it was and this was not exactly something that he could choose to deal with it.

There was silence, the whipping of snow through the air in ways that reminded him that this was a frozen hellscape. It almost made him want to laugh… Almost, but he would deal with the fact this frozen hell was all he had left of himself.

Matias questioned how many of his men had been killed in the ambush. Vinland was good at war but lousy at training soldiers who had any degree of tact or actual strategy, his men were cannon fodder for someone better.

He shook his head, pulled up his collar, and sighed. He had been in those damn trenches like them, he had known them well enough to etch his rank and name onto the boards.

And then he had climbed, over the broken corpses of his friends, over burnt shell casings and mud… And for what? How in any exact way would it have helped? How in any exact way would it have made it any less painful for him to know?

He did not know as well as he could have what had been done anyway.

Matias did not know as he could not have possibly known… What he did know was something of their caliber seemed to have made it harder and harder.

He could not allow it at all, knowing what was going on as they dashed across the water. There was a moment of panic, one that they both could not have possibly ignored.

"Run faster," Minerva stated as they tried, there was a clear desire not to be killed… Then they heard treads.

No, not just one single pair as that would and could be labeled as something that even he at the end of the road knew about. There was a noise, ripping itself from hell now and he could not tell what it was…. Or even if it had done much if anything.

There was a moment of silence as he paused and then tried his best, knowing that tanks were chasing them… And not one, but over a dozen… All led by the same commander, there was nothing left now, nothing which needed to be dealt with now.

She had been too silent, too thrown off by it now before more and more gunfire came down at them… Even then? It seemed to be something that not even he could fight through, not even he could have allowed it.

There were bullets, clearly trying to stop them. He could turn and shoot at them, but? It was against tanks… He might as well be trying to fight it and fight it well and damn well.

There was fear in their eyes as the cannons fired, cannons which could and would have torn them into bite-sized pieces if even it seemed to be dealt with for now once more.

"Keep going!" Matias yelled as both ran across the ice as fast as humanly possible.

Still? It was clear that such a thing was going to get them killed but it was either accept death at the cannons of the tanks or take their slim chances trying to outrun them…. Which they did. They ran, ran a gauntlet that was clearly at risk of getting them out and into place.

Even that? Nasty as it was? Was better than the alternative which was gaining on them… And then there was another tank noise.

One which Minerva knew well… Because she despised it.

There was a lot… A lot which she needed to deal with for now and she could only stand so damn much
