Chapter 3: Getting the Family's Blessing(Fuyumi Todoroki; My Hero Academia)
AU: Alternate Universe
Our scene begins on an evening at the Todoroki house. Rei Todoroki and her eldest daughter Fuyumi had just finished cooking dinner and preparing the table as a special guest was coming over. Rei, was excited for the person coming over while her daughter Fuyumi was rather nervous with each passing second.
Rei: "Fuyumi, quick being such a worrywort, everything will be fine."
Fuyumi: "Mom I don't know, you know how dad is about me dating which is honestly ridiculous I'm well in my 20s yet he still treats me like a child."
Rei: "That's just how fathers are. Never wanting their little girls to be taken away from them. But he does understand you are a young woman and you have the right to date whoever. *smiles* Besides, I'm already enjoying my son in law's company."
Fuyumi became red in the face.
Fuyumi: "M-Mom?! It's not like that!
Rei: "Not yet dear. Don't think we can't tell your in love with him. No other guy has looked at you the way he does."
?: "She's right sis, it's quite easy to tell you both love each other."
?: "He's already got my blessing.
Natsuo and Shoto make their presence known to the two Todoroki women.
Shoto: "I already told Kirby he had my blessing after your first dates together. I can tell how happy he makes you sis."
Natsuo: "It's quite obvious to everyone, even the old man, although he doesn't want to admit it. Speaking of which, where is he?
Rei: "He said he was out patrolling still and we'll be here in a bit."
As a sudden doorbell rang, Fuyumi's heart dropped to her stomach. Scrambling as she made her way to the door much to the amusement of her family watching. Fuyumi opened the door as she looked down and smiled seeing the individual in question. A small pink puff who's energy exudes nothing but positivity. The Hero of Dreamland, Kirby and the one who's dating Fuyumi Todoroki.
Kirby: "Fuyumi!"
Kirby jumps into her arms causing her to smile as she hugged him and kissed the top of his head, causing him to giggle. Bringing him into her humble abode. Kirby jumps out her arms to meet with the rest of the family.
Rei: "Hello Kirby. How's my favorite pink puff doing."
Kirby: "I'm doing great Mrs. Todoroki, thank you for having me over tonight. I wouldn't miss this for the world."
Rei: "Oh please, call me Rei sweetie."
Natsuo: "Yo little man wassup! Been a while?"
Kiriby: "Natsuo, Shoto! How have you guys been?!
Natsuo: "You know school and whatnot.".
Shoto: "U.A is doing more internships in the future. What about you? More adventures?
Kirby: "Guilty as charged! Boy do I have a new one to tell you guys!"
?: "Then you can tell us as we sit at the table to eat, pink one."
As Kirby turns around to see the #1 hero Endeavor in all his blazing glory as he stared down at Kirby.
Kirby: "Hello Mr. Todoroki! Nice to meet you again. *smiles*
After the introduction the family had dinner. Of course with Kirby being a bottomless stomach, Rei made sure to make extra for him. Kirby went on to explain his most recent adventure in the Forgotten Land. Explaining how he was transported through a portal to a world inhabited by members of the Beast Pack, who overtook the civilization after the humans had randomly disappeared. Later on it was explained that the humans of the Forgotten Land had captured a creature of spacial abilities to travel through dimensions, being split in two halves one being Elfilin the good half and Fecto Forgo the evil half.
The good half Kirby saved and traveled with until he was kidnapped by a mind controlled Dedede. Kirby then explained how he went to retrieve Elfilin only to find out the Beast Pack were actually looking for him to reunite with Fecto Forgo to use its interdimensional powers to travel between dimensions.
Shoto: "So this Fecto Forgo who was caught by the humans was actually the one controlling all of the Beast pack to do it's bidding."
Kirby: "Yeah it was crazy. Then he reunited with Elfilin and achieved his ultimate form. He was crazy powerful.
Natuso: "Sheeshe little man you seem to always go on these crazy adventures, don't you ever get tired of them."
Kirby: "Honestly it would be boring if there wasn't something trying to attack Dreamland in some shape or form. It's been a thing since I could remember."
Fuyumi: "Well either way I'm glad you're ok Kirby. I worry when you go on those adventures like that."
Kirby: "I know but as long as I have my friends by my side we'll always overcome any obstacle thrown our way. Besides, I have someone very important to me that I have to see whenever I can." *smiles*
This causes Fuyumi to become red in the face as she tries hiding her face much to the amusement of her brothers who tease her about her feelings about the pink puff. Enji looks on while eating as he notices the bond between the Hero and his daughter, how there's actual love between the two. He didn't have to worry about someone wanting his daughter for her namesake which he definitely was worried about at times. However, with the pink puff he didn't have to worry about such a thing.
Enji: "Kirby."
As his voice caused everyone to look at him. The head of the Todoroki house sat up straight looking at the one who stole his daughter's heart. However he knew that she was no longer his little girl but a grown woman who would inevitably find love and potentially start her own family.
Enji: "I'll be honest. I had my doubts about you when you first started dating my daughter. Part of me still does."
Rei: "Enji?!"
Natsuo: "Come on man?!"
Shoto: "Dad…"
As Fuyumi looked down upset, she then felt a sudden hand next to hers looking down to see Kirby with a smile.
Enji: "However, I know that I was wrong to judge you. In all honesty it's really my stubbornness and protectiveness as a father that doesn't want my little girl to leave the nest yet. I was worried that there would be someone who would take her from me only to hurt and break her heart."
Fuyumi: "Daddy."
Enji looks over to Rei, with a smile on his face as he takes her hand.
Enji: "But now I know I was wrong. I can tell that you truly care for my daughter. You have all the good qualities that I want for someone taking care of her. Your heroic heart, your positivity, and the way you make my daughter, plus you're more than strong enough to protect her. Kirby, you have my blessing to be with my daughter. Please, continue to make her the happiest you can be."
As Enji bows his head as Rei follows suit. Fuyumi felt tears ready to pour as her father truly had accepted Kirby and that he was worried about her being taken from him. Fuyumi immediately got up and hugged her mother and father, crying out thank you to them.
Shoto, and Natsuo smiled as their father had finally accepted him fully into the family. Kirby got up from his seat making his way over to the parents as he bowed his head much to the shock of everyone in the house.
Kirby: "I promise to you that I'll protect and cherish Fuyumi Todoroki, no matter what. You have my word Mr. and ."
Enji: "Spare me the formalities, you can call us Enji and Rei. Your family now Kirby. *smiles*
Kirby: "Thank you, Enji."
Fuyumi wipes her tears away, smiling. As the family continued eating dinner and conversing amongst each other. Unbeknownst to them a mysterious figure was watching from afar. As a smile etched on his face as he saw the family he was once a part of finally became whole again.
?: "Well, I'm proud of you sis. Now I don't have to worry about anyone hurting your feelings. You got quite the powerhouse of a boyfriend. Kirby, I know you'll keep her safe little guy. Hopefully someday I can approach the family and share a meal.
As this figure walked off into the night, with a single tear pouring down his scarred face. He was happy for the family that had accepted one of the truest heroes he's ever met.
AN: Well that does it for this chapter, now you probably thinking where's the smut! And to answer your question it's coming in another part. Sometimes you have to write out slice of life chapters like this to establish the relationship of said characters in order for the smut to feel 10x better.
