Rainbow

Molly continues to use her ghost powers, creating a swirling rainbow shield around herself. She does her best to contain the power into one circle, feeling the electric shock and burning pain from the inside out. Still, she can't lose control or she'll end up hurting people.

All I wanted to do was help…Why did this happen? I'm supposed to enhappify and spread joy, instead I'm causing chaos and destruction all around me. I just hope everyone else is safe.

Suddenly, Molly hears a familiar voice below her.

"Molly, it's Libby! I'm here with your parents, Darryl, Andrea, and Ollie. We're going to help you! Just please tell us what's going on!" Libby said.

Molly listens. She can't believe they're all still here after she ran away, but that's what unconditional love and support is all about.

Molly smiles, feeling comforted by her loved ones, so she tries to calm herself down. As she slowly lowers herself down to the stage, she stops when she sees the little pink orbs of energy coming out of her shield.

So Molly quickly flies back up and stays there.

"I can't control my powers and I'm hurting you…Please, just stay away from me!" Molly said.

Molly starts to cry, finally letting out all of the sadness and fear she's hidden behind a smile for so long. Her powers get stronger as her emotions get more intense.

Everyone gathers on the stage just below Molly. They can see she's suffering, and they're not giving up on her.

Scratch flies up to Molly's level. Her eyes are glowing pink and rainbow tears are falling. She has power, a light inside of her that's stronger than the darkness trying to corrupt her.

"Molly, I know you can hear me. Please don't give up! I know feelings can get messy and it's hard to control them sometimes. And I bet that's even more so for a sensitive and caring person like you…You need to find your joy and hold onto it. It's what makes you who you are and what will get you through this. I believe in you!" Scratch said.

Molly hears Scratch, smiling through her tears as she takes in his kind words. She really did change his heart. Realizing that's the kindness she needs to give to herself.

Molly takes a deep breath, doing her best to control her emotions and her ghost powers. She's starting to feel more relaxed, knowing she has support from her loved ones.

Suddenly, the shield around Molly disappears in an instant. Her glowing pink eyes turn back to normal as she finally calms down and feels safe.

Molly looks at Scratch with a tearful smile.

"Thank you." Molly said.

The pink aura around Molly fades away and she starts to fall fast.

Realizing what just happened, Scratch flies as fast as he can to save her. He catches her just in time and they slowly float to the ground together, landing in the center of the stage.

Everyone gathers around Molly, hoping she's okay.

Andrea doesn't even question the fact that there's a blue ghost who just saved Molly. After everything that's happened, Scratch is the last of her worries.

Pete and Sharon think about taking Molly to the hospital, but realize they'd have to explain her having ghost powers now. Plus after everyone saw her in that ghostly state, they wonder how they're going to explain all of this.

Andrea notices everyone's concern, pulls out her phone and starts typing away.

"Don't worry, I'll explain how this was all just special effects and part of the show. No one will question why Molly was a ghost human hybrid." Andrea said.

Suddenly, Molly starts waking up. She feels weak but not hurt, just exhausted and drained of emotional energy. Rest will help with that.

"Thanks for covering this up, Andrea. And thank you, Scratch for saving me up there…" Molly said.

Scratch starts to tear up and gives Molly a hug.

"Of course, Moll. I'd never let anything happen to my best friend." Scratch replied.

Once they stop hugging, Molly looks around at all of her loved ones, feeling guilty. So she decides to be honest.

"I'm so sorry…I thought I'd be able to find out what was happening to me by running away, but I just ended up hurting everyone. All I wanted to do was enhappify the world and help people, but I guess the pressure got to me…I should have reached out for help." Molly said.

To Molly's surprise, everyone joins in a group hug, forgiving her immediately. She starts to cry again, but this time they're tears of joy from the overwhelming amount of love and support.

Everyone notices this, stops hugging, and starts talking.

"Molly, we're just glad you're okay! It was so scary seeing you lose control like that, but you found yourself again. I'm proud of you!" Libby said.

"Yeah, the ghost powers were cool and all, but I'd rather have my big sister safe." Darryl said.

Molly smiles, then looks to her parents.

"I know how much you want to help people, and I'm so proud of you. But you do have a tendency to overwork yourself. Just remember to ask for help before things get out of control." Sharon said.

"Exactly, and if the pressure to perform is too much, it's okay if you want to stop. Andrea said she can let everyone know that you're done." Pete said.

Molly thinks about this carefully. She still wants to enhappify, and she does have a passion and talent for singing. She can't help but wonder if it's worth it when she has everything she needs right here.

Ollie takes Molly's hand and she blushes. Remembering how he saved her when she was out in the storm alone. He really does care.

"Whatever choice you make, we'll be by your side. Ghost, pop star, or just Molly McGee, we all love you for who you are." Ollie said.

Andrea takes a quick photo of Molly and Ollie blushing at one another.

"The Mollie ship has sailed! You two are so cute together!" Andrea said.

Molly puts her arm around Ollie and smiles.

"Yeah we are pretty cute together, aren't we? Now, can you help me get up?" Molly asked.

"Oh, of course!" Ollie replied.

Ollie helps Molly up off the ground. She's still weak from using so much energy in her ghost form, but has enough in her to do one last show for the people who will always love her, no matter what.

Molly stands up on her own with confidence and makes her final decision.

"You know what, I want to do one last concert. Not for the fans, but for the people, and ghost, who always stood by my side." Molly said.

Everyone nods, knowing what Molly's getting at. Then they go to sit down in the auditorium, ready to watch Molly sing to her heart's content.

Molly picks up her pink microphone and with a bright smile on her face, gets ready to sing.

"This one goes out to my family and friends! Love you all!" Molly said.

Molly starts to sing, an emotional song that always helps her feel a connection to her loved ones and herself. It keeps her grounded and that's why she chose it. A cover of the song Rainbow by Sia.

Everyone smiles, cheering Molly on as she sings one of her favorite songs. This is what she needed. The adoration from fans is nice, but seeing her family and friends support her is a kind of love that's like no other. So she continues to sing.

"I can see a rainbow, in your tears as they're falling down. I can see your soul grow, through the pain as they hit the ground." Molly sang.

Suddenly, Molly's ghost powers activate but this time she's in control. She feels it, the power of love over ruling the previous corruption from fear. This is truly a special moment, and she's happy she can share it with her family and friends.

The pink aura glows around Molly as her eyes turn pink. Joyful energy surrounds everyone as she keeps singing.

"I can see a rainbow, in your tears as the sun comes out! As the sun comes out…" Molly sang.

All of the sudden, Molly shoots a pink beam of energy into the sky and suddenly, a rainbow appears. She smiles, looking down at her loved ones then back up at the rainbow she created. This is true happiness. Enhappifying the world with her joyful energy. People will see it and smile and that's the best gift of all.

Molly starts to tear up, a genuine smile on her face as she looks out at her colorful creation in the sky bringing people together as well as her loved ones enjoying the show together. That's all she could ever ask for.

"Enhappifying the world, one person at a time. In the end, it was all worth it." Molly said.

The End
