THE FORM(s) FOR THIS STORY ARE ON MY PROFILE TO COPY
Hey everyone, this chapter is just to update on everything you need to know for the forms you do since I don't think I made it as clear as I wanted and I apologize for that. To everyone else, here is everything you need to know in this world to submit, but again you have free control of everything regarding your character.
1. In this world, Hope's Peak canon story exists from the games to the anime. This means that the original Hope's Peak, the Future Foundation, and the tragedy all exist in this story. However, this story takes place several years after the world returning back to normal (and by several, I mean 40 years specifically after the Tragedy), so the younger generation never experienced the tragedy in contrast to the older generation.
2. In this world, the world at large saw Makoto Naegi rebuilding Hope's Peak to turn the tides of the tragedy. They saw the Ultimates from the school fixing Japan after the tragedy, and those Ultimates were seen as Supreme Level beings. These countries then came together and made up something called the Global Hope Association (GHA). The association has built many international schools LIKE Hope's Peak, but they exist all over the world to recruit anyone. Now talented children everywhere are being recruited, so diverse characters in other nations are important.
3. In this world, anyone who has a title and is talented is generally known as an "Ultimate" by the rest of the population. However, the official term used if you're scouted by a GHA school is known as a Super High School Level (SHSL) like in the original Danganronpa. SHSL Students are young and have potential, but not many of them stay that way as they grow older and mold back into society. Anyone who graduated from GHA schools though and make a change in the world with their talent is known simply as Supreme Level (basically as long as they kept using their talent after graduation). Both these groups have these specific labels, however, they can still be generally known as Ultimates, so please don't be confused if the word Ultimate comes up, as again these people are split into two different groups.
4. The Global Hope Association runs the Golden Laurel Sanctuary, where international talent comes to be trained by Supreme Level mentors. Everyone who is accepted into the Sanctuary must know English as the main language to communicate. Also note that the younger generation, or the Super High School Level students must APPLY to gain entry to the Sanctuary by the GHA, while the Supreme Levels are invited by the association to teach there. Either way, unless your character backstory says otherwise which you can do, your character has to willingly want to come here.
5. There are 14 open slots in this story, with seven being accepted for SHSL Students... and seven being accepted for Supreme Level mentors. There is no gender balance I plan to have for now, so each group could have uneven genders. The ages accepted for SHSL Students are from 13 - 19. The ages for Supreme Levels accepted are from 20 - 60. Any older or younger for either group must be approved by me.
6. Last but not least, no talent is restricted to the world's story, even abstract talents. Go all out if you desire. I will accept question mark talents or fake talents, canon talents to my other story gold house, or canon talents to the main Danganronpa world. Also, there is no restriction to your character's backstories or where they come from. Again, please go all out.
So with that out of the way... I hope this explains some things. I want to make this as inclusive as possible, so if you're worried about a matter regarding your character, don't hesitate to ask depending on the group you're putting them in. For some final news, Now, I'll be counting submissions in the CAST LIST chapter, so if you wanna see what's going on, hop back there to keep track of everything.
Rules
1. PM'ing Info - Please send your submission through PM's. I'd like you to title the PM in question with the following {DR SOT - NAME, SHSL (or) SUPREME LEVEL TITLE}
2. Character Info - The maximum number of characters you can send is four because there are two different groups. You don't have to submit to both groups if you don't want, just submit one as normal to whatever group you choose. I will keep track of submissions for both groups and respond accordingly depending on what happens.
3. SHSL or SUPREME LEVEL - (Below)
SHSL Students are still kids who are learning to master their talent either by their own desire or by someone else. They have to send an APPLICATION to the GHA to get accepted into the Golden Laurel Sanctuary to develop their talent, so they must willingly choose to go here if they want, or can be forced by a parent, guardian, or other circumstance to send them here. The backstory and reason are all up to you
SUPREME LEVEL Mentors are adults who have mastered their talents and aid the world at large, so they essentially are graduates with a glowing title around their head everyone notices, unless they don't outright state them or their talent is niche. They are INVITED by the GHA to personally teach the SHSL's at the Golden Laurel Sanctuary. The backstory and reason are all up to you
4. Foreign Characters - In this world, foreign characters are allowed and encouraged. There's no limit this time they can be from anywhere and do anything. For example, Kokoro is obviously Japanese while Eddie is Italian. Try to diversify as much as you want, but they all must know ENGLISH.
5. Deadline - The deadline is July 23rd, but extensions will be allowed as the deadline approaches its end. If there are not enough characters for one group by the time the deadline hits, then I'll keep that group open while I close the other. For example, if by July 23rd there are more submissions for the Supreme Mentor Roster than SHSL Student Roster, I'll keep open the Student Roster and close the Mentor Roster. I think it'll be a while until this story is finalized with a cast at all but hopefully this should give people time to work on characters, and it also gives me time to do work outside of life
6. Theme - The theme for this story is the newest generation vs. the older generation. Change Vs. Tradition. This story also has themes about people's perception of talent and if they desire it for their own purpose or for others.
7. Have Fun - Like any community story, I encourage you to really be proud of the character you submit, and have a bunch of fun making it. Take your time, really imagine your character, and if you can't write anything at the moment, that's fine! Take a few days to relax and have fun. I don't want this story to be a chore. I want it to be a thrilling experience that you look forward to! So, have a good time making your characters guys!
Again, If you have any other questions about the world or a character idea font be afraid to message me if I wasn't clear here. And again, I know the prologue seems a little vague for now and it might be that way for a while since I still want to focus on Gold House, but rest assured I know what I'm doing with this story, and have some exciting thematic beats I want to hit.
