Notes:

I don't want to reveal too much but I will say this. Excluding the Boruto series everyone in Naruto exists in this universe. They roll or character may change a bit to make it fit, but they all are in here. I won't reveal what other characters are up to as that would be giving away too much information, but I will say Kushina is a Admiral so she is probably doing Admiral like things.

1320 hours, September 15, 2527 (military calendar)

Konoha City, Lower District

Fire Country, Planet Elemental

Looking around at her rundown apartment she couldn't help to look down at her dirty hands in depression. She saved up all her life savings in order to purse a degree and follow her goals. When she had finally graduated and was ready to take the next step in her life, she hit a roadblock. There were no available jobs in her field except for the military. Being an Elemental, she would have been shipped to the front lines of the war. You could see on the news and all over the internet that, that was a no go.

Looking at her hand as green chakra covered it for a bit to show the use medical chakra before dismissing it with a wave of her hand. "Going to med school and medical ninja school in order to have the best of both words. What a joke of an idea" she muttered getting up from her couch and going to her bathroom. Pulling a string once inside the light turned on to show her reflection in the cracked mirror. Green eyes stared at a pale face covered in dirt and pink long lair to the middle of her back.

'I'm so low on credits I feel like it costs credits to breathe. Right now, it's either join the military or sell myself on the streets like some of those women are' she thought as pulled out her cheap phone to bring up her information.

Sakura Haruno

Konoha Central Bank – 50 credits remaining

With the release of a cry of "Ugh" as she scrunched up her face in irritation, she looked back down at her phone that she was seconds from throwing away when a ping ranged off from it. Looking at the phone she pulled out the notification to show that she had been accepted for an interview for a medical position on a freighter.

'Please let this be the answer to my prayers' she thought trying to get ready as much as she could for the interview as like her a few others were given offers for work there too.

Docking Bay 11

Naruto waking up in his bed gave out a good stretch of his arms before heading off to the bathroom grabbing his pad on the way. Multi-tasking while in the bathroom he was brushing his teeth with one hand as was sending out messages and emails with the other on his pad. One heading for Tsunami and Tazuna about his new location. Another to the personal he was interviewing for a position on the ship. And the final one to Hiruzen for any updates and information on high paying work.

With his washing up and emails sent he got dressed in his newly bought clothes consisting of a black jacket covering a red shirt followed up with black camo combat pants and black boots. With a quick hand seal once again, clones were created to get to work on the ship.

A few clones left to the cockpit in order to adjust and update all the systems needed there. A few left to the conference room to update the hollow deck and the systems there. The rest went to the cargo hold to properly store all the items around the ship while setting up the recycler to be connected to the ship.

Letting the clones get to work as he walked down the ramp midway, he stopped to lay back on it as he browser the information on the web through his pad while looking through the email Hiruzen sent him on work. So far, the highest paying jobs were mercenary work, escorting VIP, protection, UNSC contracts, and moving important cargo. The lowest paying was resource gathering, which while low its only so if you are gathering easy to get materials. More valuable the resource the more its worth. But that usually means more dangerous as well. Maybe he should stick to being on the downlow for-

"-OfpH" he coughed out as something landed on his stomach. Looking at the being he saw it was a grinning red fox with blue eyes.

"What's the big idea?" he questioned as it jumped off him and ran up the ramp into the ship with a snicker.

"Wait, don't go in there!" he called out going into a stand when he caught the person waiting at the bottom of the ramp for him.

"Hi, my name is Sakura Haruno, I'm here for the job interview" she started before giving a short bow as he was stunned by her for a second. She was dirtied up a bit wearing a white jacket over a blue shirt, gray stretch jeans, and dirtied up white boots. Over her left shoulder was a worn-out black bag containing most likely her supplies. While seeing that she was roughed up a bit he could tell she was even more of a beauty when cleaned up. Just hitting D cup breast in size, lovely hips just made for breeding, and he could tell that from the back her ass just looks like you could bury your face in. Dear go-

"Oh right, come this way" he starts leading her up the ramp to stop his crazy train of thoughts. Walking through the ship he could see from the corner of his eye that Sakura was looking all around in awe. It might be because of the clones working around. Or maybe being in the ship for the first time. He remembered the first time he was on a ship during his service time. Coming to the conference room where the clones had cleared up the area so they could talk. Sitting down at the table with him motioning her to do the same with his hand, he started the conversation.

"So, I can assume you have some questions for me?" he asked seeing her nod her head extremely fast.

"You can create clones! Lots of them! How?" she asked leaning forward as he smirked

"Simple. I have lots of chakra. Maybe the most on this planet or galaxy"

"How can you handle the mental strain of having some many clones working at once? Reports had it that some people who create not even more than 8 go into a coma and some go brain dead due to the mental strain"

"Well, I'm a very unique person. If you become the doctor of the ship, you can find out more as you will have access to everyone's onboard medical files" he answered as she nodded

"Is this the first time on a ship?" he asked as she nodded once again. "I never been on one and as you can guest, I never been off planet either. Which is where I'm guessing we will be going?"

"Yup, I will be traveling all around the galaxy. So, I guess you read the terms of the contract?"

"I would be the doctor of the ship. When medical expertise come into play, I would outrank all except the captain. Food and shelter provided. 1,000 credits a week which is equal to 4,000 a month. Depending on business my pay can increase to higher levels. That's just some of it. 4,000 a month sounds too good be true. Some people are just scrapping by to get a little over a 1,000 a month. I would happily accept if you allowed me to continue my medical studies in both in the medical field and medical ninja field" she finished with an offer making Naruto smirk and hold out his hand.

"Deal". With the shake of hands Sakura Haruno officially became part of the crew. "One of my clones will escort you to your room onboard. Gather your belongings from your home and be prepared to leave in 3 days. Also set up the clinic that would best suit you. I'm transfer you 2,000 credits for your sign on bonus. Welcome aboard the 'Laughing Fox'" he finished as she smiled and thanked him as a clone came by and lead her off. Before he could move onto another thing a clone brought in two individuals.

Both were males dressed in casual clothes. One had his hair in a ponytail with an average build like and the other was bigger with muscles to show that he might be a weightlifter.

"Shikamaru Nara and Chouji Akimichi. Shikamaru, you're a strategist, navigator, and good with operations. Chouji is a chief. You two said you didn't care about high pay, but you guys want to be together as you traveled. Being best friends as kids you wanted to travel the galaxy together" started Naruto as Chouji nodded and Shikamaru scratch the back of his head.

"Drop the act Naruto. Its good to see you too" smirked Shikamaru as they all laughed and gave each other hugs in greetings.

"So, you finally going through with it. Traveling the stars for fun and adventure?"

"You better fucking believe it. Welcome aboard?" questioned Naruto with his hand out. "Someone has to look out for you, even though it will be troublesome" smirked back Shikamaru shaking his hand.

"Good to have my bros with me on this. I have one more interview and then its last-minute prep and we off to space in three days" he informed them as they nodded and got to work preparing everything.

3 days later

Naruto could be seen in the conference room sitting on the couch going through some planning with Tsunami. The first job was a simple transfer of some cargo that was being loaded into the cargo-hold right now. The job was offering them 50,000 credits to transfer it to a planet nearby. It was some much-needed cash for the crew.

"We currently have 356,398 credits. The first thing we need is a slip space drive. The one that I saw online that could fit our ship costs 2.5 million credits. We can spend 60,000 credits when we get there for the excavator set up for the LSVR. We could use that to go digging for material we could sell after putting it through the recycler" stated Tsunami as another woman walked by and stopped by the couch.

"Add another 100,000 credits to install a lift system in the bay and another 100,000 more to get a scanner install into the ship to scan for the material" added as they looked to see the woman in an open top engineer's uniform with her hair in a bun. Tenten the mechanic and armorer of the ship.

"Don't forget to add another 5,000 in fuel costs" added Shikamaru joining the room with Chouji and Sakura.

"Damn, this trip is going to be expensive. We better hit the ground running huh" laughed Naruto crying a bit on the inside

"We will be fine, and everything is loaded up. We are all ready to leave Captain"

"Alright let's get this show started" he jumped up and headed for the cockpit.

Sitting down in the pilot's seat Naruto started going through the checks as Shikamaru sat down next to him and went through his own checks. Sitting in a seat behind them Tsunami was going through a few systems as the other three watched from behind.

"We have clearance to leave" called out Shikamaru

"All systems green" called next Tsunami

"Alright everyone. Say goodbye to Elemental for a while" replied Naruto as the ship started to lift up slowly into the air. Once they found the cleared section in the air the ship took off into the air picking up speed rapidly. Pulling back on the wheel the ship changed directions going straight up and with a boom like sound the ship broke the sound barrier and was leaving the atmosphere into orbit. From the window the crew could see them pass the clouds before the sky turned darker and they were in space. All around they could see stars and other ships moving back and forth.

Flying pass, them they watched as a large space station came into view holding many different ships but mostly UNSC ships. At the moment the largest ship docked was a cruiser next to a planetary defense platform with a mac cannon attached. One of the UNSC most devastating weapons it has ever created. Capable of ripping in half any ship caught in its line of fire. Multiple at the same time as well if timed right.

The crew could see from the side the beautiful planet Elemental getting smaller and smaller as the ship left the area heading to its next destination. Planet Marinis.
