1840 hours, December 12, 2527 (military calendar)
Near Centron Trading Station
Freedom's Approach, Space
Through the messy halls that haven't been maintained and the damaged walls that was never bothered with being fixed a shadowy figure sped through. The shadow had on target in mind with no other side objectives. Keeping to the shadows the person jumped through an open door and to the top of the large area to look down on its future victims. A group of 6 were kicking back in an area filled with guns and ammunition for different types of combat arms. The dangerous thing was that they were not properly stored and were just laying about.
With narrow eyes the shadow formed a hand seal causing a mist to form in the large room. The five were none the wiser to it until it got too thick to see but by then it was too late. With ease and years of experience a sword came slashing down with no sound. A few seconds later there were five bodies on the ground. Checking the area one more time the figure clicked its comms.
"This is Zabuza. Armory is clear" he called in. "Good work. Branch out from there and clear other nearby areas"
Engine Room
Approaching the engine room as silently as possible Tenten ran into no one on the way. Approaching the main door, she stop at the entrance once hearing signs of people talking. Pulling out her magnum she placed a silencer on it. Moving forward slowly she walked up to a panel on the wall and pressed a few buttons shutting off the lights.
"What the fuck!"
"Who turn off the lights!"
"I don't like the dark"
PEW PEW PEW PEW
With the sound of those silent shots four bodies hit the ground. Flipping the lights back on she finished her check around the area before radioing in that the area is cleared.
Loading Bay
Haku standing at the entrance to the loading bay, saw that it was filled with beaten up warthogs and busted up pelicans. It was unsure if any of them were in any form of working order. From the way things look, this ship was just made to look menacing and that is all. Looking around the area she quite a few of them gathered in the middle having a conversation. Making hand seals she formed an ice mirror in front of her before stepping through it.
As the group was relaxing, they could suddenly feel the temperature go down. Noticing that they could see their breath in the cold they stood up to see the cause of this only to see mirrors slowly form all around them with a figure on the reflection being Haku.
Forming a stance, she shot senbon out of the mirror and into the group as they all yelled in panic. Splitting off into different areas they took off trying to avoid her only for more mirrors to appear near them. No matter where they ran or where they hide, she would appear from a ice mirror and strike them down. Before long the area was littered with unconscious bodies. No matter how much Zabuza trained her she was still too soft hearted to kill a man.
Bridge
The main doors to the bridge snapped open for a person to run straight into Naruto. A quick kick to his chest sent the man falling back as Naruto jumped forward heading further into the room. A few quickly thrown kunai and a head smash on a nearby console the area was cleared of all enemies. Sliding the body off the captain's chair he placed Kora's chip inside allowing for her to gain ease access to the ship.
"Just give me a few seconds. Mmmmm and I'm in. I have full control of the ship" said Kora appearing on the chair's arm rest in the form of a hologram.
"Good. I'm going to have clones mop up the stragglers. Everyone is to meet me at the bridge. Have Tsunami detach and pull the ship into the loading bay" he ordered as she gave off a nod. While working on it a console nearby ejected a hard drive.
"That's the info you need Captain" called out Kora as Naruto nodded walking over to grab it and placing it in his pouch. Before long the ship was cleared, and the entire crew was on the bridge.
"Alright, we have one ship. How are we going to get the other?" asked Zabuza as Kora reappeared
"Leave that to me. Now that I have full control of this ship, I can use the ship to boost my power and connect to the other ship. It should work as long as they don't have any sort of A.I. Hmmmm, one second, one second…NOPE! They have no A.I. and now that ship is mine. A few open-air locks here and there. Turn off life support here….all done! You have 2 frigates. Where to Captain?" she asked as he smirked
"Home"
Maelstrom Base
With two loud thuds the landing gears of the two ships landed down on the base as the Laughing Fox came to a land down next to them. With the crew disembarking Naruto had Fintz's crew immediately start working on cleaning the ships and repairing what they could on them. Off to the side he had the pelicans and warthogs that were in rough shape on the ships be laid out outside. Breaking off a crew from the main workers he had them working on them as well.
Giving the main crew time off to relax he decided to stay in the office as he worked out the plans to get the two ships manned and fixed. Both issues were very expensive but it's a good thing there are a lot of people looking for jobs. He had time before Hinata arrived to get the drive so he might as well get some work done. Going through applications he stopped when there was a knock on his door.
"Come in" he called out as Tsunami walked in and stood in front of him. "Yes, what's going on?"
"With the ships and vehicles here, I know you want to get them in as good shape as possible. I thought that a good idea would be to hire my father's company. He has experience in this and can help speed up the process. Plus, with your clones and the lovely mechanics out there it would be done in no time" she offered as he looked at her wide eyed
"You're a genius! Call him right away and offer him a contract to get the ships and other stuff fixed. The sooner he can start the better. I was almost ready to scrap one ship, but this prevents us from doing so. Thank you" he finished giving her a grateful smile to which se blushed lightly at
"You're welcome. I'll give him a call right now. Just try not to overwork yourself while you're at it" she answered before heading out to make the call.
Standing up to look outside the window he watched as personal were working on the two ships causing sparks to come off on different areas. A total of 13 warthogs were getting cleaned and parts changed on one side. Another side 4 pelicans were being worked on. Close to this building the starting's of a radio and air control tower was being made. Not far on the other side larger warehouses were being constructed. And last in the distance a construction trucks were focused on digging a deep hole to make the underground portion of the base. What a long way they have come. When these two monsters are ready, he will take everything from Gato.
Next Day
Currently once again was Naruto in his office with Tenten and Kora. Tenten was going over her first project she wanted to start. She was currently showing him images on the computer of a small robot and all the parts it would need.
"So, what do you think of Tenten's DUM-series I droid? It is set up to build, repair, and clean. I can probably even program them to mine. We can have them work under Fintz's group in order to get things moving along faster. They would only need to charge to keep functional" she finished ad the other two looked over her designs.
"So, these are droids and not A.I. They would be unable to learn on their own but only do what they are program to do. Making droids have been attempted in the past despite everyone's fears of them taking over but one thing became an issue over and over. The same issue the technology drones are not used often and why A.I.'s became more commonly used" stated Kora
"Materials" spoke up Naruto as Kora nodded and Tenten frowned.
"The materials to make the precise circuit boards to run them are considered rare metals. Titanium-50 which is used to make the armor on the ships are easier to find then the metal you are looking for. Rhenium" finished Kora
"True but we have a small bit in storage we are not using. Can I use those to at least build one to show my idea can work? Then we can go out and search for Rhenium" asked Tenten making Naruto think before looking to Kora
"We have no use for the metal and with the scanners from the ships and my amazing self we can scan the nearby planets and the unexplored planets, asteroids, and moons for it" offered Kora
"We will also need to way to mine in from space" he added
"Which is something I have managed to plan out while going through the drives of the ship. A certain ship that Gato owns is stationed in a nearby planets orbit that he is not using much. A kind donation to us would speed up this process" spoke up Kora as she displayed an image of a Springhill-class mining ship.
"No. That is not happening. We don't have the manpower to run that ship and we don't have a safe location to hide it either. Neither a captain who knows how to run the ship. I will allow for everything else, but we will use the frigates to mine the resources until Gato is no longer a threat to us" he finished as he saw from the window a pelican touch down
"Roger that Captain and when you do change your mind Tazuna knows how to Captain that ship. He has done so in the past" added Kora as Naruto gave a nod and Tenten stood up
"Well, I better get to work on building that droid. Wish me luck" she winked for walking off with a sway to her hips that definitely caught his eye.
"Kora has Tenten ever walked like that before?" he questioned to which she placed her hands on her hips. "How am I supposed to know about that. I haven't been on this ship for that long. But from what I have learned I believe this may be a form of seduction. I have to keep a record on this"
"That can't be good" he muttered slouching a bit as Kora brought up records for him to see.
"As you asked for before, here are a listen of Captain's you could hire that would be able to command the ships effectively"
"And out of those which two would you recommend" he asked as two profiles were brought up. Kakashi Hatake and Kurenai Yuhi it showed that they both commanded a similar vessel before but for Kakashi's case it was a heavy cruiser.
"First is Kakashi Hatake. He left the UNSC as Captain under command of your father. When your father sacrifices his life to save the fleet, he decided to leave the UNSC and live in Konoha as a body guard. He would have denied this offer originally but know that you were hiring he would be jumping for the opportunity. To make it up to your father. His record is spotless and was considered one the best"
"He was under the command of my father. What about the other one?"
"Kurenai Yuhi is a tricky issue. She was a raising Captain in the UNSC becoming infamous with her plans while commanding. She had everything lining up until she ran into an issue. Corruption on the top halted her progress when a higher up tried to blackmail her and force her to do things for him. She denied him and he basically tanked her whole career and getting her dishonorably discharge. Evidence of the situation came to light later but in order to save face the UNSC swept it under the rug. What's one life in the face of billions" she finished
"And where is she right now?"
"Working in grocery in Konoha City as well. She is struggling and a job like this would bring her back up but that may cause issues with the UNSC"
"Hire them both and have Shikamaru and Chouji bring them both here tomorrow for a meeting" he ordered as she nodded and sent the emails out. It was at that very moment that Hinata stepped into the office.
