Elemental's Sanctum's Bridge
Above Abandoned City, Planet Harvest
"Fire!" yelled out Hiruzen having the two phoenix-class ships target the battlecruisers. The frigates on the sides were focusing fire on the corvettes as the air lit up with fire and aircraft from both sides. The cannons of the ship were going off sending round after round at the battlecruisers in front of it. Archer missiles were being fired and reloaded with the target being the enemy ship. All other weapons were being directed at enemy flying craft as the MAC charges up and they move into position.
While most of the fire heading towards the enemy was being soaked up by their shields and the returning incoming fire was being soaked up by their armor. Armor that will not last as long as their shield would, and not to mention their armor. On the plus side the Covenant Corvettes had no shields. Just strong armor. The side view of the bridge lit up as a beam from the battlecruiser struct the side of the ship causing damage. It continued on making a beam of line damage as it went off to the side and struct the side and rear of the Paris-class frigate 'Gate of the Summer'.
Suffering massive damage Captain Aoba was focusing the ships efforts on staying airborne as he had ordered the crew to focus on damage control and power. If they lose power to the engines and gravity generator they would drop from the sky like a rock. A multi-ton rock.
"Admiral MAC locked and ready!" "Fire the MAC and follow up with a volley of all missiles. Coordinate the attack the fleet" he ordered
With a loud thunderous sound multiple MAC cannons went off striking holes through the battlecruiser. With the shields failing instantly as a round tore their shield generator to dust, missiles from all sides crashed down on the ship. Explosions of red, blue, and purple fire started going off as missile after missile wrecked damage on the ship before it was enough as the ship erupted in an explosion shaking the area.
With the explosion going off it seemed like the ship 'Gate of the Summer' started to lose the fight of staying airborne. Slowly the engines and generator were not running at full capacity resulting in the ship slowly moving down but picking up in descent speed. Hiruzen getting reports of this brought up the large map on the deck to show the scene.
"Have 'Gravekeeper's Last Journey' move underneath the ship, time the descent and have the ship land on his ship. 'Sakura's Mirage' and 'Raging Beast King' are to cover the decent from enemy craft or ships" he ordered as the crew went to work on delivering the instructions.
Tazuna receiving the new instructions directed his ship to move underneath the slowly falling vessel. Pulling up his much larger vessel underneath he had the storage bay open up for the ship to be slowly lowered down. With the ships landing gear touching the platform the storage doors closed around it sealing the ship as Captain Aoba focused now on repairs and stopping the damage.
Seeing the operation was successful Hiruzen ordered them to pull back as the fleet focused on the remaining forces. Another battlecruiser going head-to-head with 'Solar's Horizon of a Thousand Suns'.
On the ground
Keeping a low profile and hiding the hogs behind cover they were able to hide from sight. Shikamaru was positive that in a ground attack they would be overrun. They had a small force here and no tanks. It seemed like the enemy didn't know our purpose here and he wanted to keep it that way for now. Getting into a confrontation would be "troublesome".
"Fuck" he muttered at his luck as he can now see a small patrol of Covenant ground forces heading to his location. Grabbing his comms, he ordered "Sai, tell Naruto we need to leave now. We have enemy incoming. All forces prepare to fire on my command. We are going to ambush them". Placing his battle rifle on the ledge he aimed down its sight at the approaching lead Elite. Nearby Sai wrote something down on a piece a paper before forming a few hand seals. Finishing the seals, he slammed his hand on the paper summoning an ink shaped bird that flew into the tunnel.
"Fire!" he ordered pulling the trigger to strike down the unaware Elite. The patrol not knowing about the group was hit by a hailstorm of bullets that only a few were able to get away due to shields. A ghost powering forward fired its weapon at the group for a trooper to form hand seals and spit a fireball at it. Unable to dodge the sudden attack the vehicle went up in an explosion that consumed two nearby grunts. While the ambush was mostly successful, some still lived and they were going to call for reinforcements.
With Naruto and the group
The group was still continuing the investigation unaware of the attack taking place. The group was receiving a lot of knowledge from the sphere as Naruto and Zabuza watched them work. It wasn't until Zabuza heard pecking on the door that he turned around to see an ink bird waiting to enter. Moving his hand near the door it automatically opened for the bird to come flying in heading for Naruto.
Flying around him few times to make sure it had its attention it toke a nose dive and splattered against the floor creating a ink message. Looking at the ink it read:
COVENANT HAS ARRIVED AND ATTACKED!
GET THE FUCK OUT! IN DANGER OF BEING OVERRUN!
NOW!
"Okay, everyone time to go! Now!" ordered Naruto moving to the group studying the device as they looked at him in confusion.
"What we can't leave! We just got started and learning so much!" exclaimed Catherine as the others agreed.
"I understand but we are under attack and in danger" he stated as the area shook from a loud explosion. "Pack up now" he finished with a face of determination. His family and crew were in danger.
Seeing the look on his face they got to work packing up everything they brought before a question came to mind. "What do we do about this sphere? We can't leave it for the Covenant" spoke up Sakura. It was a good question as the information could be used against them.
"Fuck it, we will take it with us" answer Naruto stepping forward with his arms spread and grabbing it. He started lifting it up as shouts for wait were called out as sparks went off before a flash of light appeared from the sphere blinding everyone.
Unknown Location
Opening his eyes Naruto could only see pure white. No one from his party was with him as he was alone and no longer in the structure. Just this empty space until he saw a glowing light in front of him. It hovered just above the ground and seemed to do nothing.
"Don't touch it. What if it explodes? Just leave it alone find a way back to your loved ones" whispered a voice in his head once again annoying him. He really needs to know what that voice was.
"Well just for that" he stated as he brought his hand up and touched the light. Blinding his vision again as the word "Reclaimer" was called out. Opening his eyes, he was back in the forerunner structure with his hands holding a metal rectangular box that was heavy for most. At his feet the sphere laid detached from its platform but colored a pale blue now showing it has no power. Everyone else was opening their eyes from their last position to see him holding the box.
Before a word could be said the area shook again alerting them to the situation. "Fuck, yeah time to go! Zabuza go support the guys at front and call for pickup" he called out as he made clones to hold the box and the sphere while helping the others pack up. Seeing the situation is handled Zabuza toke his leave and sprinted out the doors as the clones holding the objects sprinted after him barely fitting the objects through the doors.
With their gear packed up in record time Naruto lead them out into the hall towards the exit. Opening the doors, the group could see rocks from the ceiling falling down around them. With no other option the group had to sprint through it. Avoiding the rocks coming down they were halfway when a huge slab of rock came falling down heading for the middle of the group. Sliding to a stop Naruto did the only thing he could think of at the time which was to raise his hands and brace himself as the rock came down.
With a thud he caught the slab towering over the group causing his knees to buckle a bit as the ground around his feet crater. The group saw the tremendous feat of strength stopped in their run as Sakura and Tsunade stumbled from outside the cover of the slab.
'No! Get over here!' he thought with all his might as he couldn't move his arms or legs at the moment. Something he wasn't expecting was for two red chains to come shooting out of his chest and wrapping around both Tsunade and Sakura. With a sharp but quick tug they were pulled into his chest as a rock landed where they would have been.
As much as he wanted to be relieved of everything, they were not safe yet. Using the slab as cover and pushing chakra to his limbs to help, he moved the group to the entrance for them to escape.
Entrance
The group arrived to see heavy fighting going on. The security was holding up well as they were stacking up bodies, but it was not lasting for long. To the side Zabuza could be seen slaughtering Elite's in a mist with a high-speed fashion. In the skies his fleet was fighting off the remainder of the Covenant fleet. The issue was the current corvette nearby preventing nearby aircraft from landing.
"Kora, launch pod X001" he ordered into his comms.
"Good to hear your voice again. Launching pod" she replied making him smile. With her reply meant that everyone onboard the 'Majestic Fox' was ok.
"Chouji, you are up. The target is that corvette" he yelled out as the man ran up to him confused. "Just follow my lead" he answered as a pod landed nearby. Running up to the pod and pressing his hand on the security pad, it opened up to show Tenten's test project.
"VTOL Jet. I hope you work" he muttered placing on the gear. Once placing everything on like he saw on the demonstration he activated the thrusters a bit to show him hovering. "Alright we are good to go". With that he held out a hand for Chouji to grab to which he did trusting him like always. Putting it at full power he slowly started to lift further into the air before taking off in a burst of speed with Chouji in tow.
Continuing through the skies avoiding all aircraft he waited until they are above the corvette a bit. "Chouji, you have to be quick before anyone retaliates against you. You will be a big target. Hit and run" he finished before throwing him into the air. Getting the idea, he formed a hand seal before releasing a massive amount of chakra which covered his form. Performing his clan jutsu, within a second, he was massive in size and coming down in a double kick.
Enlarged boots smacked into the top of the ship causing catastrophic damage. Explosions and sparks were going off as Chouji seeing the damage he had done quickly released the jutsu and went into his normal size once again. With him freefalling towards the crashing ship Naruto swooped in to catch him by his armpits and flew off towards the 'Majestic Fox'. On the route there due to his low amounts of fuel and speed the 'Laughing Fox' and two pelicans caught up to him carrying the rest of the personal from below.
Sliding onto the loading deck of the ship Naruto released Chouji who fell into a roll as the three planes landed near them. "Kora, pull all forces out! We are leaving!" he shouted as Kora relayed the order to Admiral Hiruzen. Slowly the ships were leaving the combat area while providing covering fire at the Covenant who decided not to follow them. They needed to lick their own wounds.
