With the clearance given Spartan Team Kilo came moving through the shadows towards the unsuspecting guards. A simple two brutes and five grunts. They were no match for a Spartan fireteam. Naomi and Ralph both pounced on the brutes giving little chance for them to retaliate against knives to the throat. Daisy and Joseph mowed down the grunts that jumped in shock at the murdering of their leaders.
Naomi looking around the area for other threats saw none to which she gave out hand signals to search the area. Splitting up into two groups they searched the area for another few minutes before reporting it up to Naruto that it was clear.
"Let's go Catherine" said Naruto leading down the walk to the area. The quicker they get this done, the better informed they will be. They knew so little about this planet or why the Covenant was here. This should clear things up.
The two walked into the small structure to see it was mostly empty with a terminal in the middle. Catherine stepping forward placed her case next to it and pulled out a chip containing "Precious Justice". "Alright let's learn all of your secrets" smirked Catherine placing her hand on the console activating it and entering the chip.
"Alright let's see what this planet is all about" said Precious Justice going through the system with Doctor Halsey. The Spartan's were standing around watching on as Halsey and Precious Data were going through the data.
"So, what do you have?" asked Naruto stepping closer to her working on the computer. He saw that she was moving different projections all around and breaking things down.
"This planet if you would like to call it that, was created by the forerunners. It was made to store their warships in the center of the world and to study the flood on the outside. Unfortunately, the flood escaped and started infected all parts of the surface, but the planets defenses halted their advance"
"Let me guess. The Covenant are here to take the ships to use against us?"
"Most likely. There is no other purpose to be here but for that". "I'm going to connect with Admiral Hiruzen to see what he wants to do. We can't let them succeed" said Naruto pulling out his tablet and establishing a connection to him in the bridge.
It took some time for the connection to go through, but it finally did show the man sitting down in his chair as repairs were still being worked on in the background. He was quick to explain the situation as he in return explain the new updates.
"Sgt Forge of the Spirit of Fire was able to rescue Dr. Anders. She has informed us of everything going on and with your report, this confirms it. The Spirit of Fire had decided to give up their slip space drive in order to denote the core and destroy the planet"
"But how will they escape with their drive gone?" started Catherine. "The explosion of that magnitude will be massive. They won't escape its blast range"
Naruto hearing this thought of the easiest solution available. "They won't but we will. Dock the Spirit of Fire inside the ship and we will use our slip space drive to escape"
"I thought of the same idea. We are evacuating the area and pulling back all our forces. We have the minimum number of repairs done to the ship to make us operational. We are already starting to plot our escape vector" said Hiruzen pressing a few buttons on his chair showing the route.
"Where?"
"Reach. We will have to do some negotiating when we get there though, but it's a perfect place to establish connections, repairs, and growth" he offered as Naruto nodded in agreement.
"Who is protecting the bomb deployment?"
"Red team and Sgt Forge"
"Send Omega team and Zabuza's team to assist. Leave nothing chance" he ordered. "Will do, just hurry up back to base"
"Will you mind if I bring back….'souvenirs' with us?" asked Dr. Halsey. "No way and hell we are bringing anything flood related onboard my ship" he warned staring down at her as she shook her hands no.
"Nothing of the sorts. Me and Precious Justice were able to commandeer three impressive items to bring back with us. With the connection from the terminal, we were only able to get three, but we will love them all the same" she smiled
"Bring them near the ship and I will decide if we take them or not. We need to move now. See you when we get back old man" he finished disconnected the signal and signaling Kilo team to move out. With the Spartan's make sure the area was secure, Dr. Halsey finished up on her data collection with PJ before removing her and leaving.
Elemental's Freedom
Hiruzen was coordinating the evacuation with his crew in order to make sure they had everyone onboard when it was reported that three large signals were approaching the ship from the sky. Moving quickly into action he order to speed up the process and to "assume defensive positions. Aim all weapons at the new signals and be prepared to fire at my command"
The three signals were approaching closer as the last aircraft and vehicles were boarding the ship. From the distance two warthogs appeared from the tree line heading for the ship. Zooming in they could see it was Naruto's team. As they were approaching the three signals detected from before came from the sky to reveal them to be ships but not ones he ever saw before. They came to a stop hovering a good distance away but doing nothing else.
"Kora, what am I looking at" questioned Hiruzen focused on any movement from or around the ships. "Scanning now Captain but this is a ship I have no data on file for. Neither from the UNSC or the Covenant" she stated
"That is my souvenirs" comm in Catherine. "These are the Forerunner's Dragoons. Massive dreadnought ships capable of massive fire power. Once given assess they will be connected to our ships systems and functions as drones for us to control. They will form a protection circle around us for now and follow us to Reach. We will study them more there"
"Captain, I'm receiving a request for connection from the three vessels" spoke Kora
"Do it. We are running out of time and can't afford debate this. Do it and get Naruto's team onboard. What's the status of the other two teams?"
"They have just linked up with Red team and are engaged in heavy fighting"
"Once the link process is done and Naruto's team is onboard, head to the Spirit of Fire. The teams are to secure the area and prepare the device for automatic denotation"
With the Three Teams
Red team was staring down at the approaching elite's waiting for them to get closer. Before the order to engage could be given a pelican gunship came hovering above unleashing its payload in a hover. Rounds and missiles came pouring out the plane as the back opened up. Jumping out in the lead was Haku who slammed her hands on the ground forming an ice barricade for cover as Ashoka landed next to her with a battle rifle to fire. Landing next to them was Omega team carrying different assortments of heavy weapons. Using the ice as cover they fired over it at the charging elites.
"Thanks for the backup" spoke Jerome Red Team leader as he used the cover with his team to fire as well.
Sgt Forge with his assault rifle aimed was looking for the invisible elite. Just as the slash was going to come down on his back and arm smashed the arm holding the now identified energy sword and a shoulder bash push the wielder away. Looking in the area Forge saw a tall muscular hand holding a sword defending him from the now visible elite.
"More of your filthy race. I the Arbiter shall take great joy in exterminating you both" glared the elite activating a second sword.
"Sgt Forge, keep the device safe. I will handle him. Now let's see how good you are with those swords" smirked Zabuza with joy as he brought the sword down on him with a overhanded swing. The elite known as the Arbiter dodged to the left and jumped forward with a slash that he avoided and kicked him back for a bit distance. Following up he swung his sword in a turn that forced the Arbiter to block with both his swords with a grunt of exertion.
"You are strong for a human. You must be one of mutant type humans. Disgusting" he growled as Zabuza smirked. "Mutant? I always thought of myself of more of a demon" he laughed pushing out his chakra forming a demon like image behind him.
Elemental's Freedom
The ship was fast approaching the Spirit of Fire's location with its three new guards. While the crew was assured that they had full control of them, they were still a little cautious. They were something that the techs were still looking into and only PJ had knowledge about it at the moment. Which made it perfectly understandable that when the battle damage Spirit of Fire saw them coming, they had their weapons trained upon them before being told to lower them.
The preparations were already in place so when the ship rose into the bay docking clamps were ready and in place. Captain Cutter had his bridge move the controls to Serina who was instructed on the docking procedures by Kora. With simple adjustments the ship was now docked and held in place next to a Punic-class warship in a pause of upgrades known as "The Red Death".
"Serina, what's going on with all of these ships?" asked Cutter looking out the bridge window with Anders.
"From what the A.I. has told me they are undergoing massive upgrades. Their weaponry, armor, slip space drive, engines, power, and the adding of shields". "Shields?". "Correct. All the upgrades have been paused to focus on repairing the ship after the battle. Once that is done, I'm sure they will focus on the upgrades again"
"Serina, have the engineers focus on repairing the ship. I'm going to go speak with the Admiral. No one is to leave the ship until our situation is better understood here" he ordered heading for the exit as Anders followed saying "I'm coming with you"
Taking the elevator to the exit they stepped onto a bridge to see a man wearing a Captain's uniform and a woman wearing a marine's uniform with the rank Sergeant.
"Captain Cutter, my name is Captain Hatake. I understand you want to head to the bridge to talk with Admiral Hiruzen. Follow me and I'll lead the way. My sergeant here will answer any questions Doctor Anders have while I shall answer yours" he stated leading the way
"Your organization is a branch sperate from the main UNSC. What do you guys originally do?"
"Correct, and we support forces and test new things to give to the main military. We also take on dangerous missions as well"
"The dome's on top of the ship. What is their purpose?"
"Oh, our civilians, military families, contractors, and government contractors work and live there. Some military personal live there as well. It helps keeps moral up as well as increase the numbers of our forces. It does more but I'm sure you can find out more later"
"That ship parked next to us. It's "The Red Death" who is Captained by Admiral Kushina Namikaze. Why is it here when they are part of the main UNSC forces"?
"Correction is were part of the main UNSC forces. Main forces can be added to our own force growing it and the process is done through Admiral Kushina" he smiled leading them into the elevator.
Battle near the Slipspace drive
Zabuza came sliding back with a few cuts on his body staring down at the Arbiter who had a few cuts. The elite charged forward slashing down with his energy slashing down on the chipped-up sword cutting it into two. Dropping the sword Zabuza speared him in the chest ramming chakra enhanced blows to his ribs making the Arbiter cough in pain before he rammed his knee up hard into his abs hearing a crunching sound.
Dropping to his knees in pain Zabuza looked up to see the Arbiter throw his hand out to catch a bruised Forge in the air back the neck.
"Like the rest of your race, weak, and undisciplined" he spoke slamming him into the ground and kicking Zabuza to side.
Off in the distance the elites finally managed to make it to close range forcing Haku and Ahsoka to back up still firing, and the Spartan's to go all out massacring the elites. 9 Spartans working together was something that nightmares were made of for the Covenant. Spartan's dancing in and out of close-range combat and taking them done with brutal efficiency.
A spartan kicking the knee of an elite forcing him down only for another Spartan to grab and snapped its neck. Jerome leaping on top of an elite's back, he slammed his knife into his neck dropping it to the ground. Placing his feet on the ground he grabbed the spear thrust of another elite preventing it from stabbing him as Sheila-065 speared that elite into the ground. Being up close she rammed her magnum into the bottom of his neck and unloaded a clip into his head.
With Arbiter
He was walking with his energy sword drawn to the marine standing to face him. Swinging his sword at his back he ducked underneath him and speared him in his bruised ribs to the ground.
Forge punched him in the face and drawn his magnum fand fired it into his hand holding the energy sword forcing the Arbiter to drop it. With his other hand he grabbed and slammed Forge off him and into the ground next to him. Following it up with a strong jab, he slammed it into Forge's chest hearing his bones break with a growl of pain.
Standing up he grabbed his energy sword and walked over to Forge moving to his knees. "There will be no female to save you this time" he growled. "Look me in the eyes and say that".
"As you wish" he replied grabbing him by the back of his neck and lifting him up to face him. "My face will be the last thing your pathetic eyes will ever see" he finished before feeling a massive slash upon his back. Turning around he saw Zabuza with his broken sword drawn with his blood on it. He watched with wide eyes as his blood was absorbed into the sword in a blue mist restoring it back to perfect condition.
"You-" he started when a knife was jammed in his throat making him fall to his knees. Forge now free grabbed the energy sword on the ground and rammed it into the Arbiter's chest.
"And for the record, I would have kicked your ass the first time if the lady hadn't stop me!" he yelled at the end as Zabuza stood over the Arbiter now.
"Candy-ass bitch!" he glared raising his sword up and bringing it down causing the Arbiter's vision to go dark.
