When Desi woke up, she yawned, feeling extremely comfortable until she felt someone sit on the bed with her. She opened her eyes and quickly sat up when she saw Frigga sitting beside her, with Thor leaning against the wall behind her with a concerned emotion waving off him.

"How are you feeling?" Frigga asked her.

"I'm okay, I just…that memory still hurts to think about." She said, still struggling to process this.

Frigga smiled and took her hand in his, Desi smiling sadly at her.

"My son has told us all about you, your mother would have been proud of you." Frigga told her.

"I don't even know anything about her."

"Well, I would love to train you on how to use your abilities. You are a descendant of Eir; she was our Goddess of Healing. She had the ability to heal people, manipulate objects with her emotions, resurrect the dead, guide lost souls to their afterlife and so much more." Frigga offered her.

"I know you have questions, but you'll face trials in the future. We need to prepare you now." She told her. She smiled and nodded, unsure what she was really trying to say. His mother was vague with her responses.

"You have questions." Frigga pointed out; the woman was easy to read.

"I do…" Desi said, still trying to make sense of everything.

"Tell me what's on your mind. Let it out, dear." Frigga told her.

"My mother...who's my mother? It's not just that either: I…I died, didn't I?" She asked.

Frigga smiled sadly; she knew.

"I don't know Eir, but I am grateful to her, and I want to honor her...I just feel that I do not know what she wanted of me." Desi admitted.

"She wanted you to live, child. You do not have to follow her path." Frigga told her.

Desi sighed and shook her head, "No…but I want to; she saved me and…she chose me as your child. I want to make her proud. I can at least make one of my mother's proud." Desi replied.

"You already have darling, you remind me so much her," Frigga answered, "she was always smiling, kind, always saw the good in others. She was a lonely soul, but she cared for everyone."

"Really? Were you close?" Desi asked.

"Fondly so. She was there for my pregnancy. We used to fight alongside one another until I was wed, but she was a Valkyrie. Fought greater battles for the sake of others; she wanted to get married after her last battle, have children. We even spoke once of arranging one of my sons with hers." Frigga answered. She saw Desi frown at this but gently squeezed Desi's arm, "She's always with you, but she would've loved to be here."

"Thank you, Lady Frigga," Desi said with a smile, but wanted to make the most of her time here, "you said you wanted to prepare me? Can we begin now?"

"Of course, I expected no less," Frigga said as she stood, guiding Desi with her, "Thor and I will be training you. We Asgardians are warriors, and you will be part of that. Now, come, my dear." Frigga said as she stood her up.

Thor stood up in attention when he saw Desi and his mother walk out and followed Desi.

"How do you feel about swords, dear?" Frigga asked.

"I've dabbled them from time to time." Desi told her.

Frigga looked over to Thor before looking back at her. "Good, we will make arrangement for you then, we will train you to be more efficient." Frigga asked her.

"Oh, that'd be amazing!" Desi said.

Frigga looked over to a nearby guard and he immediately followed close to her.

"Call Brokkr, we need a special within the day, for the descendant of Eir." Frigga told him and he bowed away, running off in hurry.

"Are you sure telling him that was wise, mother?" Thor asked, worried about the rumors.

"Of course, let them welcome her or tremble in fear with us by her side." Frigga told him, winking at him.

"Oh, please, no trembling." Desi said, making Thor chuckle.

Frigga led them outside in an open field outside the city, but Desi could feel others watching her.

"Please, take this." Frigga told her, handing her a sword. It was golden blade with a black hilt with leather wrapped around it.

"Thor, will you please collaborate with her as I speak with the blacksmith?" Frigga asked.

Desi hesitated as he approached her, and she rolled her shoulders; she had to pump herself up.

He lifted a sword of his own, flashing her a reassuring smile as he lifted his own sword.

"It'll be helpful sparring with me. Are you ready?"

"Ready."

Throughout the day, he began to collaborate with her on her fighting while on foot.

Desi ran at a decent speed and range before she was challenged to do more. Next was her using her shield, using both at the same time and was thrown back when Thor threw his hammer at her shield.

"Destiny, are you alright?" Thor asked as he approached her.

She nodded as she slowly sat up, laughing in embarrassment.

"I'm good, I forgot you have a really good arm." Desi assured him, catching him chuckling at her.

"This is where I come in." Desi turned to Frigga's voice, smiling as she held a golden blade with a black hilt with leather wrapped around it with a sunburst outlined on the hilt.

"This is your new weapon, it will be called Mammen, but you can call it whatever you wish. To complete this, we will need a drop of your blood." Frigga explained to her.

"I can't…Thor, can you…?" Desi asked, offering her hand.

He nodded and took her hand, "Close your eyes." He told her softly.

She trusted him and closed her eyes, wincing when she felt a painful pinch on her middle finger. She opened her eyes and watched as the weapon glowed for a moment before Frigga stepped away, placing the weapon on the floor.

"Now, call it." Frigga told her, nodding to her. Desi held out her hand as she had seen Thor do his numerous times. She thought of her friends and took a deep breath.

"Mammen."

The sword disappeared, her sword reappearing in her hand, and she made an exaggerated gasp, twirling it in her hand in excitement; Tony and Frigga smiled at her expression.

"You're worthy of Eir's weapon." Frigga told her.

"This was hers?" she asked in surprise.

"It was her second main weapon; I know she would love to have seen you wield it. It accepted you, as it did her." Frigga told her, proud of her.

"Of course, Lady Frigga." Desi agreed, but she was only left with more questions.

"You're an emotional person, and I don't want you to hide that. Don't put on a brave face and hide; instead, embrace it. Just like Eir's, emotions are what empower you. Fear, pain, loss, and love…all emotions empower you. Fighting their effects only weakens you, instead embrace them." Frigga explained.

"Emotions are my source. What empowers me? Are you sure?" Desi questioned; it almost sounded ridiculous to her.

"Indeed. I've seen flashes of you in battle, I know you'll be great with your abilities but let's focus on your sword abilities. Thor, dear, help her, will you?" Frigga asked her son with a warm smile.

"Of course, mother." Thor said. For the next few hours, they trained vigorously without a complaint from Desi, but as the son reached its peak, he needed for her to rest.

"Let's take a break and try again. Well done, Destiny." Frigga said, smiling as she walked away.

Desi fell to the floor as Thor sat beside her, handing her a watering can.

"You're doing extraordinary. I'm glad to see your training is going well so far." Thor said, smiling at her, but she smiled politely at him. He knew she was overwhelmed, but she was a bit distant.

"I'm glad you think so…I just, I'm struggling with coming to terms with my mother. My mom back home disowned me, so I guess I'm just being cautious. I don't want to be a disappointment to anyone else." She spoke.

"You are none of those things, and I will ensure to remove that doubt from you. You have a heart of gold, Destiny." He told her.

"I don't believe that for a single moment, not after I've seen with Deadpool," She spoke, smiling warmly as she leaned back on her hands, gazing at the sky, "but you've never doubted me since we met, so thank you for saying that."

"If you could only see how I see you right now…" he told her softly, "Since I first met you, you always put others before yourself. With a smile so contagious, others can't help but smile with you. You've stayed strong during your dealings with Barnes, Loki, the Chitauri's; even the truth of your family."

Desi looked away, a heavy frown on her face as she felt the tears slowly develop, her heart heavy with the loss of her family she once held so dearly.

"I know you'll overcome this, but you're not alone, alright? I'm here if you need me, whatever you need." He assured Desi.

"Thanks, Thor." Desi said softly.

He rose onto his feet and sighed in relief before he offered his hand for Desi.

"Now, let's continue your training."

The following morning, Desi had walked out to the same training ground where Desi saw Thor and his mother Frigga standing out in front of hand-made structures behind them. Taking a closer look, Desi saw that it was a large field of made-up tents in the camp. As she got closer, Desi noticed many of the people here were injured, bandaged, and bleeding, making her heart grow heavy with sadness.

Frigga smiled, clasping her hands together as Desi approached.

"Morning Destiny. We will be working on something different today." Frigga said.

"Oh, okay. What kind of training?" Desi asked.

"Eir could heal without a touch was using her emotions as well as those around her as her source. You will learn to do the same." Frigga told her, pulling Thor away from Desi's side.

Desi turned around, looking at the people around her and took a deep breath. Like when she had cleansed people, she mentally thought of turning on a light switch in her head and opening herself to sponge the emotions around her. She pushed herself, unbeknownst to her others, watching in awe as a gold and silver came from her.

Thor was stunned to see her eyes glowing white gold as she snapped her eyes open. The people within the camp quickly began to feel better, watching their wounds disappear as others removed their bandages. Desi smiled but oblivious to the people near them in the plaza looking to see the commotion happening in their camp.

Thor took this moment to block their eyes from ogling her, thankful to him as she knew she'd feel overwhelmed. She let out a sigh of relief as the people clapped but she was happy to help.

"All done!" She chimed.

"I'm proud of you, Lady Destiny." He told her, but she pouted.

"Please, Destiny, if not Desi. I'm no lady." She told him.

"Your mother is a Goddess, I'm afraid. It comes with a title," He said, "come, let's return home."

That night, she couldn't take it anymore and rose from her bed, wrapping the turquoise cloak around herself and slipping on her shoes before she left her room. She walked through the castle, taking in the sights until she somehow made her way back to her room, attempting to sleep once more.

She had eventually made her way back into her room, removing her shoes before she grabbed two random books from the bookcase. She made her way to her bed when she heard an odd noise behind her.

"Hello, darling."

She gasped loudly as she spun around to the voice, her eyes widened in surprise when she saw the mystery person.

"L-Loki?"

He smiled approaching her slowly with his hands up, in a way to show a truce to her.

"It's just me, don't worry. I'm not going to hurt you." He assured her.

"I know you won't but what are you doing here? How are you here?" Desi asked, watching him as he crouched in front of her, staring at her with a concerned look on his face.

"Lady Frigga informed me of your arrival, I wanted to see you," he spoke, "but I'm afraid that I'm not really here."

She looked at him quizzically, but he pushed his hands together, and she watched as his hands blurred over each other, noticing a green color tone over the blur.

"I'm being held in a prison cell here on Asgard, but I knew I wanted to see you again."

She smiled but Loki wasn't a fool; he could see the change in her since he last saw her. She lost a good amount of weight, her arms more toned, but her eyes were now alarmed but still so soft.

"You've struggled, endured…" Loki said, seeing flashes of her memories in that moment. He saw wade, her reuniting with the Avengers; she's been alone.

"So, prison, huh? How's that going for you?" Desi asked, flashing him a cheeky smile. Loki chuckled at her attempt to deflect the conversation, but he would get the answer eventually.

"Miserable, but I have been given a few books to last a couple of months but I'm afraid I'll need more books: it's life sentence for me. Have you fared well?" he asked.

"Fair enough, I suppose. It's been making me feel more useful but…it's also distracting me from thinking of my family." she admitted.

Bucky had always been there for her, helping her cope through it and now Thor with his training, but that didn't stop her from missing her brother's and father.

"No word from them?" Loki asked, surprised to hear that.

"No, but I'll be fine; always am." She said with a sad smile.

He saw tears in the corners of her eyes, and he thought of something quickly.

"When I was a child," Loki spoke, catching her attention, "I was often mocked and teased for being so insignificant compared to Thor. He was strong, charming; everything a prince was supposed to be. He would try, if not force me into joining him on everything he was doing."

"I know I can't take you from here," Loki continued, "but Thor can. He can protect you and take you from here, you need only tell him; he's annoyingly kind in that way. Just don't tell him I said that."

Desi chuckled but nodded in agreeance.

"If not, I'm still here…" he spoke softly, and she smiled once more.

"Thank you, Loki." She said with a kind tone.

"It bothered me how similar we were, I wish I could do something to ease your pain." he whispered, looking at her affectionately.

She blushed, but she couldn't stop the smile on her face, which he could clearly see.

"Now, I see you grabbed those books. Why don't you read one aloud to me while you lay down? It might help you sleep." Loki spoke.

"It's worth trying…" she said as she laid down, pulling the sheet over herself before she grabbed one of the books.

Loki sat on the floor, watching Desi intently as she read aloud. He read the book before, but he focused on her face, her expressions, the way she turned the pages almost dainty. He felt weak for appearing to her in such a way, but he had nearly forgotten how kind and accepting she was to him.

Loki saw Desi's eyes droop until she finally slept, smiling at her peaceful expression.

He wishes he come to see her again.

After some light reading, they discussed about the diverse types of Gods on Asgard that remained. He showed her some tricks he could do, including his illusion as clones throughout the room.

Loki enjoyed this time with Desi, but he knew she'd have to eventually go back to Midgard, and he was frustrated. Thor would be back soon, and their time would end, but Loki would take any time with her.

This night, after Loki left, Desi had woken up in tears, her nightmare visiting her again and she couldn't stand to be in her room alone this night. She had slipped on her shoes before she walked out of her bedroom when she heard someone clearing their throat.

Thor threw Desi a small smile as he approached her, wearing his casual clothing instead of his armor, and she smiled warmly to him.

"Welcome home, Thor. How was your expedition?"

"It turned out well, thank you Destiny," Thor spoke, "but what are you doing up this late?"

"I, uh, well," Desi rubbed the back of her neck, biting her lower lip as she considered how tell Thor, but she thought of Loki's advice, "can I tell you somewhere in private?"

Thor nodded, being patient now more than ever; Desi was finally ready, and he didn't want her to think was anything but supportive.

"Come, this way." Thor spoke as he stood beside Desi, taking her hand and hooking her on his arm. He guided her in a peaceful silence through the plaza, towards their training spot they commonly used. He guided her to sit on the floor as he sat beside her, allowing her a moment to collect herself.

She could see the open night sky, the stars more magnificent than those on Earth. It would be one of the many things she'd miss here, but she enjoyed this moment, feeling almost at peace.

"I…haven't been honest with you about myself," Desi spoke, her voice soft but shaky and almost fearful, "and I don't you to treat me any differently, okay?"

Thor saw Desi's body already shaking a little, but he merely nodded, allowing her to speak.

"You know I was taken to train as a curandera early as a kid. I was taught to not have friends, lovers, or any form of bond with people but it was for a specific reason, Thor." Desi looked at Thor briefly before she closed her eyes, tears already sliding down her face when she turned her head down.

"Females born into our family are rare; every couple of generations, give or take. Each female born is a curandera and we…we die young. The oldest was twenty-five, the youngest was twenty-two which my current age." Desi explained.

Thor heart dropped, feeling pained from the news, but then he heard Desi sob.

"They all died from a spirit or a demon trying to claim them. I didn't know whether I was exempted because of Lady Eir but…" Desi let out shaky breath before she continued, "the night of our expedition…a spirit came for me. She knew I died but was brought back. She said she's coming for me."

"Destiny- "

"She's only came into my dream twice, unable to touch me but…Thor she's come for me, I'm merely on borrowed time. That's why I was up, I woke up from that nightmare." Desi said, wiping her tears away.

Thor hated to see Desi scared, to see her saddened, and he was unsure how to comfort her. He took off the thick cloak and lifted her, placing her in-between his legs, pressing her back into his chest as he draped the cloak over as a blanket.

She tried to pull away, but he tightened his hold on her, allowing herself to relax in his arms.

"Thor? Don't tell the others, please?"

"…What will you do then?"

"Enjoy the time I have left, within a distance."

"You're not leaving them Destiny."

"I will eventually-"

"One thing about us is that we are stubborn," Thor told her, "And have you seen the way everyone cares for you? We would find a way…you need to tell them when you are ready, okay?"

"Okay." Desi relented, taking a deep breath, resting her head against his chest but she couldn't seem to close her eyes.

"Thor, can you please talk to me about something? Anything? It might help me fall asleep." Desi asked of him.

"Of course, Destiny," Thor answered, smiling warmly to her request, "let me tell you about the time I fought against a whole army of enemies all on my own, unsure if reinforcements were coming…"

Thor continued his tale until Desi finally slept, allowing himself to pull the hair strands out of her face. Thor didn't want to move Desi, not wanting to move her from this position but he didn't want people to catch her in such a state. He lifted her in his arms as he carried her bridal style back to her room, unaware that Loki was watching them; hearing everything.

When Desi woke up in the morning, she realized she was in her bed once more, and quickly changed into your clothing for the day. Making her way down to the gates, she saw Thor leaning against the wall waiting for her.

"Morning, Thor."

"Morning Destiny, any issues last night?"

"No, thank you."

"Of course, Destiny," He said, "ready to say your farewells?"

"As ready as I'll ever be."

"I insist that she stays."

Odin smiled when he watched them both bow to him, his son beside Desi as Odin approached the two of them.

"I'm glad that my son has brought you here and we are proud of the progress you have made; for you hold Eir's legacy with honor. I wish to present you with this." Odin spoke, handing her a silver ring with a gold star in the middle.

"There may be a time when we need you, and this will be your beacon. We hope you may come when you receive the call." Odin told her.

She smiled and nodded, sliding the ring into the middle finger of her right hand. She watched in awe as it tightened around her finger.

"I will treasure this, thank you." Desi told him with a smile.

"No enemy will be able to take that from you. I've also had the blacksmith begin working on armor for you, it'll be ready momentarily," Odin told her, "My people wish to welcome you officially, and they wish to throw you a feast shortly."

"Are you okay if we stay for a while longer?" Thor asked Desi.

She hesitated for a moment but reluctantly agreed.

"I don't want to be an inconvenience…" Desi told Thor.

"Nonsense. Wil you join us?" Thor questioned, hoping to help her realize her worthiness.

"Are you sure?" she asked, blushing.

"I insist, I'm afraid."

"Oh, then I must." She spoke softly, giggling with his smile evident now on his face.

Frigga flashed Odin a knowing look, receiving a single nod from him.

"Why don't you take her through the plaza? Show her the beauty of Asgard?" Frigga suggested.

Desi's face lit up and looked over to Thor in excitement.

Thor chuckled when he saw Desi hopping on her tippy toes, pulling on his arm.

"Oh, please, please, please! Can we, can we, can we? I've been dying to see the plaza!" Desi pleaded.

Thor stared at her with gentle eyes as he nodded.

"Come, I'll take you." He agreed.

"Have fun, dears." Frigga told her.

"Thank you, Lady Frigga."

"Please, call me mother, darling."

"Thank you…mother." Desi said with a smile before following close behind Thor.

The walk through the plaza was awe-inspiring to her. The beautiful view of the sea, odd gadgets, and toys were nothing short of amazing to Desi.

"What do you think of Asgard so far?" Thor asked her.

"It's beautiful, Thor. I can see why you'd never want to leave it. It's a lot more welcoming than New York, but…I could really lose myself here in curiosity." She answered.

"I'm glad, this is my home after all," Thor said, "This is why I fight for my home, though I am rarely home now to enjoy such simplicities."

"You should take a moment to enjoy such simplicities more often, be to help remind you on your dark days what all of the bled shed is for, what's worth fighting for." Desi told him.

"Those are wise words…I'll take your words into consideration." Thor spoke.

Walking her through the stalls to try various foods, and view various trinkets, and showing her the different theatrical performances; she was genuinely happy to experience such a thing.

Towards the end of the plaza, Desi looked curiously when she saw a man and woman presenting animals, and her heart was ready to burst with joy.

"Thor, what are those?" Desi asked, pointing towards them.

Thor looked over in her pointed direction.

"Those are mount vendors: they primarily sell mounts, but they sell pets on occasion, I suppose." Thor told her.

"Can I look? I promise I won't buy anything." Desi pleaded. Thor saw her excitement and couldn't bring himself to say no, so he nodded as she immediately dragged him over to the stall.

"Welcome, welcome; just browsing?" the woman asked, bowing her head to Thor in courtesy.

"Yes, I am." Desi said, noticing the deer, horses, and other various animals in the stall.

"You are welcome to browse, but please do not touch them." The woman shopkeeper told Desi, wavering her hand in welcome towards their stall. "Thank you…" Desi whispered before she entered carefully with Thor still in her grasp.

Desi smiled brightly as she saw their sizes, five times the size of Earth's version, and was mesmerized by such a sight. Making her way toward the back, Desi froze when she felt a vibration followed by a loud thump; it sounded like hooves.

"What in Valhalla...?"

Thor pulled Desi back as the male vendor walked past them to the last stall, and Desi's heart nearly jumped out. Stood tall and proud was an all-white horse, his eyes all black but what stunned her was it was looking in their direction.

"Did you touch it?" the man asked, the female vendor approaching.

"They've only just entered, husband…" she told him, Thor holding his hand up.

"We have not touched any of these animals, we assure you." Thor told him.

The horse let out a neigh and tried to bust through the stall again, and this time the man looked at Desi with wide eyes. He looked back at the creature before looking at her a second time, "Could it be…?"

Desi barely heard his whisper before he reached the stall door.

"What's happening with the horse?" Desi asked, looking over to the female vendor.

"That is a Pegasus; a male horse who was created for the purpose to protect. His owner passed many moons ago; however, he has not chosen another worthy of his protection." She explained.

"Forgive me, but no one wants him?" Desi asked, her heart breaking for this creature.

The woman smiled at Desi's question, shaking her head.

"This is different: you don't pick them, they pick you." She said simply.

The woman looked back at her husband, horrified when the Pegasus headbutted the man, throwing him onto his back before the Pegasus looked square in Desi and Thor's direction.

"Stay behind me…" Thor whispered, slowly standing in front of Desi protectively. As soon as Desi lost sight of the Pegasus, she heard the Pegasus make another neigh before she heard him walking towards the duo.

Desi gasped as Thor was hurled away by the Pegasus and she stood face to face with the Pegasus.

Thor quickly stood up, ready to charge when he saw the wife hold her hand up, motioning for him to stay hill; her eyes never leaving the Pegasus.

Desi stilled when she felt his nose against her head, going to each side of her carefully before he pushed gently at her head once more. She felt his desperation, his yearning for someone, and even sadness but he slowly began to feel joy; his anger never leaving him. She was in awe when the Pegasus outstretched his wings, her hand clasping over her mouth.

Desi took a deep breath and raised her hand against the side of the Pegasus's head, her hand glowing as she eased his pain.

"S-She's the descendant of Lady Eir…" the male vendor whispered, his wife covering her mouth as she felt joy overcome her.

"Lady Destiny…" Thor stopped when the Pegasus huffed at him, making Desi giggle.

"He's a friend of mine, please be kind to him." Desi spoke kindly.

Thor slowly approached Desi again, and the Pegasus never advanced on him, but his eyes targeted Thor's movement.

"He is a creature truly worthy of you, Lady Destiny." The male vendor spoke, now knowing who she was but Desi frowned.

"I'd love to have him, believe me, but I have no means of keeping him…." Desi told them.

Thor saw the frown on Desi's face, and his heart nearly ached for her.

"Are you sure you wish to leave him here?" Thor asked Desi.

Desi frowned, looking back up at the Pegasus. As if he understood, he snuggled against her head again more desperately. Her heart broke for him, tears forming in her eyes.

"I don't want to leave him here, but…" she wasn't sure what to do.

"Why don't you go wait at the entrance?" Thor suggested.

"But I don't want to leave him yet." Desi pouted, running her hand over the Pegasus's fur.

"Trust me, I'll be right there; it'll be harder if you stay." He told her.

Desi frowned but nodded, giving the Pegasus a kiss on his nose.

"I hope you find someone worthy of you." She whispered before walking away.

Desi felt her tears fall as he'd made a neigh noise in protest, but she refused to look back.

Thor took out a bag of currency and noticed the Pegasus go still; he knew what was happening.

"I will care for him. Please ensure he is bathed, armored, and ready for tonight's banquet; I will present him as a gift to her." Thor told them.

"Of course, it'd be an honor for both you and Lady Destiny, Thor." The woman said with a bow. The Pegasus seemed to have accepted this and followed the vendors without a struggle, which was a relief to him.

Walking out of the stalls, Thor saw Destiny standing right outside, biting her thumbnail nervously, fidgeting as she waited for him.

Feeling eyes on her, Desi looked over at Thor and smiled as he approached her.

"Are you ready to head back?" Thor asked Desi.

"Yeah, of course."

Walking through the plaza, Thor kept Desi close when he noticed that people were beginning to glance over at them.

"Lady Eir's child…" he could hear the whispers, feeling Desi tense under his hand.

Guiding her through the crowd, they silently made their way toward the castle.

"Child of Eir!"

Desi looked over her shoulder, Thor paused as a woman kneeling in front of her with a toddler in her arms.

The child was coughing uncontrollably, her body was in shivers, and her color tone was pale, and Desi couldn't help but worry about her.

"Please, will you help her for me? She's been like this for days!" she asked.

Desi turned to walk towards her, but Thor stopped her; grabbing her arm to keep her still.

She looked up at him in bewilderment.

"We rarely get sick, be careful…" he whispered, guiding her back down the steps.

The woman kneeled, removing the blanket from her child's body.

Thor noticed a crowd gather around the woman and stood close behind Desi as she kneeled before the woman.

Desi took off her gloves as she placed a hand on the child's forehead, her hand glowing a golden white color once more, and closed her eyes as she felt the pain in the child.

"Poison…" Desi said softly before she opened her eyes. Her eyes glowed a gold color for a moment before they faded. The child's body lit up gold before it disappeared; her cough stopped immediately with her color slowly came back to a healthy color.

Desi shook her head as she felt dizzy for a moment, the poison removal was new for her, but she smiled as she stood back up; helping the woman rise to her feet.

"A thousand thank you, my lady!" she exclaimed, crying happily as she embraced Desi.

Desi was stunned for a second but smiled, hugging her back.

"She will wake soon." Desi told her, kissing the toddler's forehead before the woman cried, overjoyed as tears fell down her face.

The crowd suddenly got closer, and Desi took a step back carefully, and Thor took that moment to escort her away. Guiding Desi through the crowd, they silently made their way toward the castle, people bowing to them in courtesy.

"I apologize, it seems word of your presence gained some wandering folk." Thor said, allowing him to guide him through the castle.

"Oh, no it's fine! Is…this something I should adapt to here?" she questioned.

"Afraid so." Thor said, flashing her an apologetic glance.

"Ooh, that's all right. I'm used to being sought out, just wasn't expecting so abruptly." Desi told him.

"Does it bother you?" he asked.

"At first it did in general, the feeling of other peoples' emotions and pains can be tiring. With training though, and time, I know it'll get better. But everyone here is so welcoming…I wish it was like that back home." Desi answered.

"You'll always be welcome here," Thor said with a smile, "Ah, here we are."

"Thor!"

Thor smiled when he saw his three dear friends approaching them. Fandral's smile faded to pure fear as Hogun and Volstagg laughed at his dilemma, waving toward Desi apologetically.

"Apologies, we didn't mean to interrupt!" Volstagg claimed but his smile never wavered.

"You're fine." Desi assured him.

"Lady Destiny, these are my friends: Fandral, Hogun, and Volstagg." Thor introduced them.

"A pleasure, my lady." Volstagg greeted her.

"Lady Frigga wanted us to call you both, the feast is prepared." Hogun announced.

"If you need to finish though, we can give you another few moments, though." Fandral said with a playful smile, winking at Desi.

"Come friends, let's head over, shall we?" Thor said, smiling down at Desi once more.

"Of course." Desi said with a smile, allowing Thor to guide her.
