A while later

Over 50 miles away from Stryker's base at Alkali Lake, an old couple named Travis and Heather Hudson, drove back to their farm with their car after buying new supplies for their house. But as they entered their property, Heather looked surprised as she saw a pale white naked woman sprinting towards their barn. "Travis." Heather said, with Travis stopping the car, seeing Ember entering the barn. "I think there's a naked woman in the barn.

Travis nodded. "Yep." Thinking that it could possibly be a junkie who was high on drugs, Travis stepped out of the car and took out his double barreled shotgun. "I'll be right back." He assured his wife and approached the barn. When he entered, he looked around while aiming his shotgun, but didn't see the naked stranger. Then, Travis spotted Ember sitting in a corner with her legs and arms crossed while she panted and was shivering. "Miss?" Travis asked while aiming his rifle at Ember. Ember looked at him. "What the hell you doing?"

Ember sighed while rubbing her arms. "It's cold."

Travis slowly approached her. "You... do realize that you have no clothes on, right?"

Ember nodded. "Yeah."

"You're not on drugs, are you?"

She shook her head. "No."

Seeing she was no danger, Travis lowered his rifle. "No, just had a rough night, huh?"

"Yeah, you could say that."

Travis took out a large blanket. "Come on up to the house. I don't have any clothes that would suit you, but I have some of my son's old clothes you could use that will probably fit you." Then he tossed the blanket over to Ember, which she took and covered herself. "Here. Cover yourself up with that, huh? I don't want you giving the old lady a heart attack." He chuckled and left the barn.

Later that same night

Ember, now wearing the clothes of the Hudson family's son, was standing in the bathroom, looking at herself in the mirror. She sighed while forming a small grin. "Reminds me of when I had to disguise myself as a man when joining the army." But thinking back of the wars made her smile fade.

Ember then looked at her hands, feeling how different her claws now felt being merged with Adamantium. She drew out her claws from her right hand, admiring them for a moment as they felt stronger and more sharper than ever before as she carefully stroked her finger across one of the claws. Taking out her other claws from her left hand, she made the claws touch for a moment, creating a spark.

Ember then looked at herself in the mirror, showing a very angry and determined face with her Adamantium claws drawn. "Damn you, Stryker, you lying, manipulative piece of shit." Then she created a spark with her claws again. "I promise you this, Colonel. Once I'm done with Creed... I'm coming after you, showing you the monster that you've created, and then nobody will ever haunt or torment me ever again." Before she redrew her claws.

Then, Travis knocked on the bathroom door, asking. "You alright in there?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Ember answered from behind the door.

"Well, if you're hungry, supper is on the table."

"Yeah... thank you. I'll be there in a minute." And not long after, Ember joined the Hudson family at the dinner table. With a little smile, Ember said as Heather served her some food. "I can't thank you both enough for everything."

Travis gave a shrug. "It wouldn't have been decent to leave you out there to freeze."

Ember frowned her eyebrows. "'Decent.'"

"What?" Heather asked.

Ember shook her head, ensuring her. "Nothing. I'm just not really used to that word." And as she took a bite, she said. "That's a nice chopper you got there in the barn."

"You know motorcycles?" Travis asked with some interest.

Annoyed, Heather tries to change the subject. "Oh! Lord, here we go."

Ember however answered Travis' question. "I know a lot about motorcycles. My favorite's a '48 Panhead." But knowing she couldn't mention that she bought it back in the early 1950's, Ember came up with a little lie. "My... father owned one. He always allowed me to go for a ride, if I was nice and behaved myself."

Travis chuckled. "A '48 Panhead? It's a pity for you that they don't make those anymore, huh? You must've been lucky that your father owned one."

Ember gave a small nod. "Yeah."

"You must be exhausted." Heather told Ember. "You get a good night's sleep. You can use our son's old bedroom, if you want?"

Ember formed a little smile. "Thanks." And while Ember went back to eating her food, she mentally thought. 'They're... so very nice people. I don't see them a lot anymore...' Ember then sadly thought back about Kayla, having been killed by Victor, making her blood boil, but was able to hide it from the Hudson's.

That night, Ember could barely sleep. She sat on the bed, thinking back of what Kayla told her about the legend of the wolverine.

'Why is the moon so lonely?' Kayla's voice echoed in Ember's head.

'Why?'

'Because she used to have a lover. He can never touch her again.'

A tear fell from Ember's eye. She sighed as she softly said to herself. "Kayla... I'm so sorry that I couldn't protect you. You were... the only person that truly understood me... the only one who wasn't afraid of me... You were so kind to me... helping me through all the inner pain I had to endure of all the wars I fought... all the fights I had with Creed... You were... my only true friend... like a... sister..." Ember lay back in bed "I'm so... sorry, Kayla..."

The next morning, Ember was sitting on the bed, looking with a serious and determined face, thinking of how to find and kill Creed and then later torture and kill Stryker for daring to screwing her over.

A knock was then heard from the door.

"Come in."

The door opened, showing it was Travis, who asked her. "You sleep okay?"

Ember glanced at Travis. She sighed while rubbing her face. "Uhh... Yeah."

However, Travis knew that look on her face as he'd seen it many times in his youth. "You look like a woman fixing to do a bad thing." Before he handed her over a leather motorcycle trench coat. "You know what happens to people who go looking for blood?"

"What?"

"They find it."

Ember was in thought after the old man told her that.

"We all got a choice, Ember."

"Yeah, well, mine got taken." Ember said with a determined angry look.

"Bullshit." Travis didn't believe that for a second.

Ember took the jacket.

"This was my son's jacket. Try it on."

Ember stood up and put the leather jacket on, which fitted her. She kinda liked the jacket, somehow feeling she was made to wear it. Ember smiled at Travis. "Thank you."

"Yep." Travis answered with a nod before he suggested "You want to take my bike for a spin? Test the suspension?"

Ember chuckled. "Hell yeah."

Both walked out of the house and went to the barn, opening the doors.

Ember went to the motorcycle, asking. "'64, huh?" Before she sat on the bike, finding it to her liking too.

Travis nodded, thinking back when his son used to be sitting on the motorcycle, wearing the same jacket that Ember now is wearing. He formed a smile, thinking how things could've been if she was his daughter.

"Good morning." Heather said as she entered the barn.

"Good morning." Ember said and got off the motorcycle.

Seeing how the jacket was fitting Ember well, she smiled too "Oh. It fits you beautifully."

Ember chuckled. "Thanks, Heather. That's very kind of you."

"There's breakfast in the house if you-"

But suddenly, Heather was shot by a bullet fired from a sniper rifle! And a second after, Travis was also shot dead as he landed in Ember's arms!

And on a hill a distance away, Zero was laying in a sniper position, having killed the innocent old couple just for the fun of it as he informed Stryker. "Weapon X is in the barn. She's just murdered 2 civilians."

"Blow her to bits. Let's see if she can survive that." Stryker ordered.

As Ember looked horrified at the bodies of the old couple, her eyes turned to fury as a gunship flew towards the barn and fired 2 missiles at it, blowing it up before Ember rode out of the explosion by riding on the cycle, making Zero's smirk fade before he ordered his pilot. "Come get me." And as the gunship flew to the hill, Zero used his jumping power to get in it without it landing before he put on a headset. "Blow her brains all over the road!"

Meanwhile, with Stryker

"Damn it!" He cursed before seeing Ember on a monitor he was watching.

Meanwhile

Ember rode on her cycle as the mini gunman fired at her, making her ride into the trees as cover while still barely avoiding the minigun fire and drifting through the woods like an expert rider until she got to a clearing.

"Alpha 1, do not lose her!" Zero ordered 1 of his ground vehicles.

Alpha 1 then appeared beside Ember and ramped before getting on the road and chasing after her. "Alpha 2, target coming to you!"

While Ember avoided Alpha One's gunfire, Alpha 2 appeared in front of her, making Ember lean backwards and draw her left claws and she slashed the gunman and his mounted gun off the vehicle, getting in front of Alpha 2 in the process as Alpha 1 avoided running over the dead gunman as Ember speeded up before seeing Zero's gunship appear in front of her. Then drew out her left claws again and slowed herself down while making a U-turn before she redrew her claws and speeded back the way she came as avoided the gunfire from the helicopter while coming up on Alpha 2, drawing out her left claws again and slicing the side and the tires, causing it to almost crash into Zero's gunship.

"PULL UP!" Zero yelled before his pilot did just that, barely avoiding getting hit by the crashing Alpha 2.

Getting an idea, Ember speeded up to Alpha 2, getting beside the vehicle before jumping to the gun and shooting at Zero, causing him to take the missile launcher controls and fire 1 at Ember, making her grin before she stood up and lunged at the gunship, drawing out her right claws and using them to cut through the spinning blades before she stabbed into the aircraft as it began to come down for a crash landing.

"PULL BACK! PULL BACK!" Zero ordered his pilot while Ember quickly jumped off the aircraft before it crashed into the ground, breaking into pieces and killing the pilot and gunman!

Ember groaned while trying to get up, seeing Zero's crashed and destroyed helicopter, hearing Stryker trying to contact him on his headset "Zero? Zero, come in."

With her boiling rage, Ember stood up while her wounds healed fast and redrew her adamantium claws, marching over to the crash site for what Zero did to the Hudson's.

Stryker tried to contact Zero again. "Zero? Zero, is Ember dead?"

Groaning with pain as his legs and several other bones were broken, Zero tried to say on the headset. "I... don't know. I'm down."

"Zero? Is she dead? Is Ember dead?" Stryker asked again.

Zero then saw a very pissed Ember standing before him. She grabbed the headset off his head, wanting to have a word with Stryker herself. "You goddamn piece of shit. You wanted to screw me over, and now you tried to kill me."

"Ember?"

"I'm only going to ask this once, dipshit. Where's Creed?"

Trying to calm her, trying to lie his way out so she would come in the easy way. "Come back to base. I'll explain everything. We'll take Victor down together."

"Wrong answer, asshole. Now, I'm telling you this once, so you better remember this in that damned skull of yours! After I killed Creed... I'm coming for you. And trust me, I'm gonna make you suffer so bad that Hell itself will feel like paradise. I'm gonna make you beg me to kill you. That's what will wait for you when we come face to face; torture worse than anything in the world."

Stryker warned her calmly. "Ember, listen to me. If you go down this road, you're not gonna like what you find."

"You wanted the animal, Colonel. You got it." Ember warned him back before breaking the headset. Ember then angrily looked at the wounded Zero. "And you! You heartless motherfucker. Those were good people back there you murdered. Innocent people."

Zero however formed a grin on his face and chuckled, clearly not feeling sorry for killing those innocent people. "Hahahahahahaha."

Despite Ember wanting to just grab him out of the crashed chopper and cut him into pieces, she wasn't in the mood to waste her energy on Stryker's mutant lapdog, wanting to serve her energy for when she finally finds Victor Creed and Stryker. She turned and walked back to her motorcycle.

Zero however still laughed and called to her. "Hahahahaha. It's funny how good, innocent people tend to die around you, Ember. Hahahahaha."

Ember stopped and grind her teeth for what Zero said. Not holding herself back anymore, embracing her inner-beast, she drew her right adamantium claws, slashing the ground, creating a spark which ignited the leaking fuel.

And as Ember walked away, the chopper with Zero in it exploded, killing him for good!

Meanwhile

Cornelius presented Stryker with a revolver gun and adamantium bullets. "Zero was the 1st choice for this. But with him gone, the only thing that can take her down besides Victor is an adamantium bullet."

Stryker looked at 1 of the bullets before telling him. "This facility is compromised. Prep transport."

A bit later

"Colonel, this is turning into a disaster." General Munson told Stryker.

But Stryker tried to assure him. "Don't worry, we'll stop her."

"Oh, really? You just spent half a billion dollars making her more deadly than she was before." Munson reminded him.

That was when 1 of Stryker's employees informed him. "Excuse me, sir. The young mutant you've been looking for? We found him."

"Excellent." Stryker said before telling Munson. "General. Wolverine isn't the only piece of this puzzle. Please go back to Washington. We've got work to do."

A few days later, at a high school

"Yo hablo, I talk. Tú hablas, you talk. Él habla… Somebody translate." A Spanish teacher said to her class, while seeing 1 of them with red sunglasses on. "Summers! Sit up and take off those glasses."

"I have a headache." The young teenager named Scott Summers said, which was true, and it wasn't because of the teacher's lesson as it would be for other normal students.

The teacher didn't accept that and told him. "Then you can wear them in detention after school while you write out this conjugation 100 times." She said, making Scott sigh in frustration before the teacher continued her Spanish lessons.

Meanwhile

After driving for days on her motorcycle almost nonstop, only taking breaks whenever Ember had to go to the restroom or was hungry or needed some cigarettes, not wanting to sleep for too long whenever she was staying in any motel, Ember finally arrived in Las Vegas, where she knew where 1 of Stryker's former team members was living and a good friend of hers: John Wraith.

Once she'd found John in a fitness center he owned, Ember told him everything that had happened ever since Stryker came to see her in Canada, the day before Creed killed her close friend Kayla.

Sitting in his office, John took a bottle of beer, while Ember lit up a cigarette for herself. "And you're sure it was Victor?"

Ember nodded. "You fucking bet it was him. Who else could it have been?" Before she took a drag from her cigarette and blew out the smoke.

"Damn." John said as he sat at his chair, feeling sorry for what Creed did to Ember. "I'm sorry for you, Em."

Wanting to know some more answers that Stryker didn't give her, Ember stood up and asked while looking at the men that were boxing or exercising in John's fitness center. "What the hell happened to Creed after I... deserted?"

John shook his head as he answered. "He got worse. He felt like you abandoned him and your only chance to bury the past after spending almost 2 centuries fightin' and tryin' to kill each other." John then shrugged "Hell, we all did. But Victor, he had to prove he was far better than you. Hunting and killing everything he was pointed at. Quit a few months later myself. Couldn't take rounding them up."

Hearing that last sentence, made Ember raise an eyebrow suspiciously while taking another drag from her cigarette and blowing out the smoke. "Rounding who up? What are you talking about John?"

John didn't want to say it. "Leave it alone, girl."

"Rounding who up, John?" Ember asked again.

Feeling remorse for his past actions, John angrily put his beer down and wanted to walk away.

Ember called him back. "Hey! Damn it, John! Who the fuck were you guys rounding up?!"

"We hunted our own kind, Ember." John said, feeling regret and sorry for his actions, though hiding it by his anger "There's a special place in Hell for the things we did."

Ember blinked her eyes in confusion. "Wait, wait, hold on. Mutants?" John nodded. "You and the rest of the squad were rounding up mutants for Stryker?! Why?!"

John sighed. "Stryker said we'd be making a difference, protecting people from the bad ones." Before he sat down.

Ember was in thought as she sat down too, putting her cigarette between her lips, thinking about what John told her, revealing that Stryker had been doing things for years that she never knew about.

"How are you gonna take Victor down, Ember?" John asked.

"Remember that stuff in Africa?"

John nodded. "Yeah, I remember Africa. What about it?"

Ember, with her cigarette between her lips, then showed her new adamantium claws to John. "It's now in my claws, John."

John was both shocked and a bit fascinated that Ember now had stronger and sharper mutant claws. "Damn... What'd they do to you, girl?"

Ember shook her head, taking her cigarette from her lips and blowing out the smoke. "Don't ask." That was when she remembered something she overheard Zero saying after she was giving the adamantium claws, thinking she was still unconscious. "Listen, I overheard Zero and Stryker talking when they gave me these... new claws, Zero said something about an island. Does that mean anything to you?"

"Nope. But maybe Dukes knows. Him and Zero were real tight."

Hearing that surprised Ember. "Fred Dukes? Where is he?"

"He's here."

"Well, let's go talk to him." Ember stood up determined.

John however told him "Hold on. He don't get in till around 4:00." Before he took another beer and gave her some advice. "But I got to warn you, he developed a bit of an eating disorder. We all got our coping mechanisms. I'm trying to whup him back into shape. If you want his help, don't mention his weight."

Ember raised an eyebrow at him. "C'mon now, how bad could his weight be?"

Hours later at 4:00

Ember looked shocked as he saw what Fred Dukes had become, seeing him being very obese than the muscled slim guy she used to know. Fred was fighting in the ring with another fighter, but rarely did anything as his big stomach blocked all his opponents punches and didn't even move while he chuckled that he didn't feel anything.

"C'mon, Fred!" John called to him "You want to get back into shape, you got to move, man." Before looking at Ember. "I told him he gotta move." Before they ducked when Duke's opponent was flung out of the ring and hit an exercise machine.

Ember was very surprised and a bit disgusted with the way Dukes had let himself go. "What the fuck has he turned himself into? A blubbering whale?"

"Hey, be nice, girl." Wraith told her.

Ember shook her head and walked up to him. "Hey, Fred, I seem to remember that girl when she was about 85 pounds."

Dukes looked at his now fat tattoo as she said sarcastically while holding an icee drink. "Oh, that's funny. You're still so funny, Ember."

"Where's Creed?" She asked seriously.

"No idea." He answered, obviously lying.

"What's the island, Dukes?!"

Dukes wasn't about to tell Ember about that, as he didn't wanna think about what happened before he quit Team X. "Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Ember."

Ember stepped on the ring and told him. "I'm not going anywhere until you tell me where Creed is and about fucking island. Now tell me what I wanna know, Blob."

Dukes got mad when he heard that. "Did you just call me…Blob?"

"You want me to say it twice?!" Ember yelled out, on the verge of drawing out her claws.

Blob ran up to Ember and flung her across the room with his big stomach, making her nearly crash into Wrath, who teleported out of the way, making her hit Dukes' defeated opponent instead.

Wraith then teleported in front of her and asked. "Told you not to mention his weight. Why'd you call him Blob?"

Ember got up with a growl. "Fuck this! I'm getting answers the old fashioned way." She said while taking off her trench coat.

But Wraith stopped her. "Hey, hey, hey, wait, Ember. I got another idea."

Minutes later

Wraith gave Ember a pair of boxing gloves as she asked sarcastically. "Oh, this is your idea?"

"I'm tryin' to help you out, Ember. Dukes don't like you that much, and you know it." Wraith explained.

"Humh. Truthfully I never really liked any of ya." Ember said while putting on her gloves.

"Come on, Ember. Use them gloves, girl. Dance with him a little bit. Allow him to let his anger out on you. Figured If you do that, he'll probably tell you everything you wanna know."

"Come on, John, look at him. That's a big ass coming out the front of his shirt. Shit. He's gonna have a coronary for fuck's sake. Is there even a stretcher big enough to take this whale outta here?" Ember asked before she got punched by Dukes after Wraith rang the starting bell.

"It ain't him I'm worried about getting outta here on a stretcher." John said with a grin.

"You're a fucking asshole." Ember said before preparing to fight.

"Come on, Ember." Dukes said while jumping up and down.

Wraith rang the bell again. "Whup his ass. Dance with her, Fred! Just like I taught you!"

"Okay, Dukes, you want it?" Ember asked before landing a bit on his stomach that he didn't feel.

"What's that supposed to do? You wanna dance, Ember?" Dukes asked before getting hit again. "Oh, that felt good. Was that a love tap, Ember? Did ya always have a thing for big, strong me?" Getting Ember mad before she tried hitting him again, only for him to not even feel her punches. "Hey, guess what? Here's a love tap for you." He said before punching Ember down.

"See? He's gonna talk now. You got him right where you want him." Wraith said with amusement.

"Oh, fuck you, Wraith." Ember said before getting back up.

"That's right! Come on, big bad girl!" Dukes said before Ember avoided 2 hard hits from Dukes. "Hahahahahahaha." He laughed before uppercutting her to the floor. "Hahahahahahaha."

By this point, Ember had had enough. 'Gggrhhh! That's fuckin' it!' She thought to herself before not holding back anymore, drawing her right claws and slicing an unsuspecting and laughing with Wraith Dukes' heels, making them bleed and making him yell in pain before he fell on his back and Ember got on him. "I'm through playing games, Dukes! Now, where…the fuck…is CREED!"

Meanwhile, at the high school

Creed was standing outside of the widow, seeing Scott Summers writing the conjugation 100 times like he was told before the animalistic mutant tapped on the window with his left index claw, getting Scott's attention before the young teenager, being afraid, quickly ran out of the room and tried to get to the exit door.

But as he got there, Creed bumped the door into him, forcing him back as Scott tried to crawl. "Little dark for sunglasses, don't you think?" Creed asked with humor before Scott tried to run, only for a grinning Creed to use his animalistic mutant speed to easily keep up with him until he sliced his ankle, causing Scott to lose his glasses before a red blast came from his eyes, destroying the school walls and the roof until he managed to close them as Creed held him down.

"Please, don't! Please, don't!" Scott pleaded.

"Victor!" Stryker told him, making Creed restrain himself before he walked up to Scott and shot him in the neck with a sedative. "All that's left now is Ember. I trust you can handle that."

"I did before, didn't I?" Victor asked back.

"Oh, yes. You did that." Stryker answered.

But Creed wanted to know 1 thing. "Our deal. It still applies, right? especially if Ember does find the island…and our little shocking surprise?"

"Of course. Now, bag him and tag him, Captain." Stryker answered, though Victor, despite being loyal, had his doubts.

Meanwhile, back with Ember

"I said, WHERE'S CREED?!"

Dukes, afraid of Ember, as he'd never seen her like this before, answered. "Creed's with Stryker on the island. They…they run it together."

That made Ember realize. "So, Creed's still been with Stryker this whole time like Zero was?"

"Yeah. You…didn't know that?" Dukes asked.

Ember, with gritted teeth, stood up and walked up to the corner before grabbing the rest bag. "FUCK!" Before she sat down and caught her breath. "What's the island, Dukes?"

"It's…it's where Stryker takes them after Victor's caught them."

"Other mutants?"

"Yeah." Dukes answered. "Rumor is that Stryker's doing experiments on them there." Then he looked at a still remorseful John. "You never wondered what happened to them?"

"I tried not to." John answered.

That made Ember realize why Kayla was killed as she looked at her knuckles that contained her new Adamantium claws. "They killed Kayla so I'd let them out adamantium in me. They killed her for a fucking experiment?!" She asked herself before getting up and grabbing Dukes. "Where is it?! Where the fuck is it?!"

"Ember, Stryker kept it real secret." Dukes answered before Ember drew out her right claws as a last warning. "But…a prisoner escaped there once."

"Who?"

"His name is Remy LeBeau. He was a street hustler from New Orleans. The…the guards at the prison called him Gambit because he kept taking all their money at poker. That's all I know."

"What's Stryker up to, Fred and what's the endgame?" Wraith asked.

"He's… taking their powers. Trying to combine them somehow." Dukes answered. "That's all I know, Ember. That's all I know."

Ember seemed satisfied enough with those answers but warned him. "If I have to come back here, I'm gonna take your head off." Before redrawing her claws, getting out of the ring and grabbing her trench coat.

"I'm coming with you, Ember." Wraith said before teleporting beside Ember and walking with her.

"There's no redemption where I'm going. Only vast amounts of dead bodies." Ember told him.

"I ain't askin'" Wraith said.

1 day later, in New Orleans

Ember and Wraith rode on their bikes through the streets until they got to a casino and looked for this Gambit mutant until John saw him at the card tables. "That's our dude." He told Ember while seeing the mutant play with his cards like no human could. "That's cool." He said, impressed. "I'm gonna go cover the back in case he rabbits."

"You think I'll fight with him?" Ember asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Don't dogs kill and eat cats?" John asked with humor.

"Just go cover the back, will you, Wraith?" Ember asked before walking towards Gambit.

Wraith went to the back outside before he heard something and saw someone in the alley as he took off his shades.

Ember walked up to the table where Gambit was and asked him. "Are you Remy LeBeau?"

"Do I owe you money?" LeBeau asked under his hat.

"No." Ember answered.

"Then Remy LeBeau I am." Gambit answered while taking his hat off and gesturing to her to sit, which she did. "Large blind's 100. Small blind's 50. May I deal you in?"

Ember smirked and asked. "What can I get for 17 bucks?"

Gambit chuckled. "17 dollars? A cab ride home, perhaps?"

Back outside

Wraith teleported to the alleyway and walked in when Creed appeared behind him. "You trying to get Ember back for me, John? Cause if you are, I may just almost spare you."

Wraith turned around and told Creed. "I ain't Bradley, Victor. And your creepy black coat don't scare me since Ember's damn sure didn't."

That got Creed intrigued that Ember would now be wearing a trench coat like his. "Ah, so she's copying my look, now, huh? Now I'm really gonna enjoy this. And by the way, did her new coat work on Dukes? Cause it damn sure did when he saw me with mine. Saw his sliced up heels too. I always knew Ember was like me. And look at her now. She's becoming like me and she doesn't even realize it yet."

John, angry at his friend's death, punched Creed and teleported. "You shouldn't have done that. Cause now I'm gonna kill you before Ember even gets a chance." He said before Creed tried to slash Wrath with his claws but he teleported again.

Back inside

"So what brings you to our fair city, miss?" Gambit asked Ember, wondering why this woman was here.

"Victor Creed." Ember answered.

Gambit looked like he remembered that name before he asked further. "And who's that?"

"The man who's been hunting me for as long as I can remember and the man I intend to hunt back and finally put him outta my misery for good." Ember answered with rolled eyes. "He works with a man named Stryker on an island. And I came here to find out where it is."

"And why would you think I know that?" Gambit asked with suspicion.

"Cause I know who you are, Gambit." Ember answered, making Gambit look at her. "You're the guy who escaped and you're the guy who's gonna take me there."

Back outside

Creed walked up to John and told him. "You know, John, there's something I always wanted to tell you." Before Wraith punched him in places while teleporting…until Creed predicted where he would appear next and grabbed his spine when it showed, causing Wraith great pain, though he didn't yell or scream out. "You're predictable." Creed said with delight. "Ohhh…I can feel your spine, Johnny Boy. That's funny. Never knew you had 1." Before finishing the dying John off by pulling his spine out, killing him!

Back inside

Gambit looked at Ember's tags and said. "Those are mighty nice tags you have on there, Miss. Really nice trench coat too. The man who took me wore tags and a trench coat just like them. Though the coat was made from a different fabric."

Ember saw Gambit's card glow, along with his eyes. "Don't even think about making me mad, asshole." Before Gambit slide his glowing card at Ember, causing the energy in it to push her back into the wall before Gambit prepared the rest of his cards and slid them towards Ember, sending her crashing through the wall and getting her outside where Creed had already gathered the now dead John's DNA.

Creed eyed Ember and thought that leather trench coat looked great on her, as he thought that Ember was indeed finally embracing her inner animal like he did long ago. 'Yes. That's it, Ember. Just 1 more push and things will be as they were before you deserted me.'

"Damn it. That fucking little…" Ember said before she saw Creed standing right in front of her, along with Wraith's dead body, though it didn't bother her at all, as her vengeance was right in front of her.

As Ember was standing up, she wasn't paying attention when Gambit jumped to her. "2 years I rotted in that hellhole and I ain't never going back." He said before Ember elbowed him in the face, seemingly knocking him out before she drew her adamantium claws.

"Ohhh…shiny." Creed complemented before asking the enraged Ember. "Tell me something, Ember: have you ever thought about what you'd have and what you'd be without me?"

"Oh, I can think of many things I could have been without you to torment my life, Creed. But now, I'll just settle for being an animal!" Ember answered.

"Hahahahahahaha. And answer me this: do you even know how to kill me?"

"Oh yeah. I'm gonna cut your fuckin' head off and put it on my wall as a souvenir for finally putting you outta my misery!" Ember answered.

That made Creed laugh before Ember began running on all fours with her claws drawn, making Creed even more delightful as he did the same thing…before Ember flipped backwards and kicked him into a dumpster!

"You're getting slow, old man." Ember said with great delight before Creed got up and tried to slash her with his right claws but she stabbed through his hand, making him yell in pain before she pushed it back, stabbing his chest in the process before pushing him into a wall before bringing her other claws to his head, delighted to finally be rid of Creed once and for all. "You son of a bitch." She said with an almost insane grin on her face. "Say hi to your father for me, Creed."

But before Ember could deliver the killing blow on her eternal rival, Gambit, who'd gotten his staff, jumped from a rooftop and used his power to explode the area with his bio-kinetic energy, separating Ember and Creed in the process and destroying the area.

Creed slowly got up, looking at Ember, who was doing the same thing before he quickly ran away from the area. "I'll see you on the island, Ember. And believe me when I say that things will be different!"

Ember, being robbed at the chance to finally kill her eternal rival when she was closer to it than she'd ever been before, wanted to chase after him. "NO! NOOOO! CREEEED!"

But Gambit, not knowing what he'd just interfered with, spinned his staff around before hitting Ember with it before she got it again.

Ember eyed his staff and said. "Nice stick, shithead." Before giving him the middle right finger, making him lean his head in amusement.

Gambit tried hitting Ember but she used her claws to slice his staff in half before she dodged more hits and blocked them before he threw Ember to the ground, grinning as he did so before he used his power and sliced up staff to climb the building and jumped to the fire escape across from it. But when he tried to climb up to the roof to escape, Ember began to slice up the fire escape with her claws in animalistic anger as it came down until she sliced the bar holding it in place, sending Gambit falling to the ground!

Ember walked up to him and withdrew her claws before grabbing himmby his shirt and lifting him to his feet. "Okay, you shithead, here's the deal: you're gonna take me to this fucking island, where I can finally kill Creed, Stryker and pretty much everyone you hate in this world. Understand?!"

Gambit looked at her before asking. "You're really gonna kill 'em?"

"As long as you stay outta my fucking way, yeah." Ember answered before letting him go and walking away, with the other mutant following her.

There you go, my dear friends, part 3 is complete. The final part will be up as soon as I get time for it and after some of my other stories are updated. Hope you guys like Ember's black trench coat because it's gonna be part of her appearance from now on to symbolize her dark antisocial and anti-hero personality. And the chapter after that will be when Danny, Sam and Tucker will appear, and rest assured that they'll be mutants as well and have big parts to play. Rate and review and I'll see you all next time, my dear friends. And be sure to thank my dear friend, SreznoJIG for the dialogues.
