Note: (Skip past bold for story) This is not my first story, its a re-attempt and making a fanfiction and story in general after my previous cringe and unfinished stories like Dragon Sonic X (or whatever the heck its called). I decided now I'm older and more mature to reattempt making a public story, so enjoy
A mysterious planet, somewhere in the universe…
A young-man walked through the corridors of a castle filled with saiyan architecture. Entering through its giant doors, and being met with the glare of the castle's king. The castle was a rather beautiful place. Its structure was similar to that of Planet Vegeta, the home of the Saiyans. The young-man bowed, and began to speak.
"Father. I have set the coordinates to the Prime Zone. We are ready to begin our attack." The young man had a bushy-brown tail, and long spiky hair that grew to his back. He had a hair bang. These were the characteristics of a Saiyan warrior.
"Will Mato join you in your fight against Prince Vegeta and the other tainted?" The warrior asked while getting up and looking at his father directly.
"Do you underestimate my power Gene?" The King asked his son in a calm tone, as he stood up from his throne and walked down the steps toward his son. "Haha, trust me. Whatever forces Vegeta may have against me, it will prove no threat. We wield the true nature of Saiyan strength. We are undefeatable. All that is left is to execute our plan. Mato will be securing the Emeralds from the Prime Zone. I will deal with the cowardly murderers, who dare call themselves Saiyans." The King then walked past Gene, who had a concerned look on his face.
( "My Dad… his power is truly magnificent. But Vegeta and this… Kakarot. They are friendly with Lord Beerus, and they wield the power of the Super Saiyan God despite being tainted blood. There is no telling what potential they have. Can he defeat them alone? No. What am I saying? We wield the true nature of Super Saiyan power. My Father would dispose of them very easily. The tainted Saiyans will be erased, and we can live out of their shadow." ) Gene followed his father. Both of them left the castle and went to address the crowd in front of it.
"PEOPLE OF PLANET SADALA! REJOICE, FOR THIS MOMENT, BEGINS OUR VENGEANCE AGAINST VEGETA's KIN, AND THE TRAITORS WHO HAVE SLAIN OUR FAMILIES, AND EXILED US TO THIS PLANET! TODAY, WE FIGHT TO BE FREE, TO AVENGE THOSE WHO HAVE FALLEN!" The King roared with his impressive speech, and the Saiyans listening cheered and yelled in response.
( "Just wait, Vegeta. You will all suffer my Wrath. " )

Angel Island - Sonic Universe

Knuckles was doing his duty as Guardian of the Master Emerald, watching over Angel Island and its inhabitants. Of course, Inhabitants referring to the flickies and whatnot, given the lack of Echidna survivors. He glided across the air and made his way back to the Master Emerald altar, before stopping for a minute as he noticed some Mobinis, particularly a small flickly trying desperately to save his friend from falling from the floating platform never to be seen again. Just as the flickly was unable to hang on any longer, Knuckles came in and saved it. He met the bird with a pleasant smile. "Be careful little guy." Knuckles ran off. This was pretty much his daily life, as the only intelligent lifeform seemingly living on this island.
Mobinis: Small animals in the Sonic Universe that originate from his first game. They are critters that Eggman kidnaps to power his machines.
Knuckles ran off towards the altar, jumping across platforms and the occasional loops and other obstacles that would eventually lead him back. Knuckles pondered while looking at the beautiful gem of infinite power: "I wonder, just what else is on this Island? No matter how much I seem to explore it, I discover something new." Knuckles thought about the time he first found a Cyberspace portal. He always found stuff like pathways and lost zones - but his previous time on Starfall Island made him think even more about the secrets of Angel Island, and just the world of Mobius in general. So for the past few months, Knuckles has been exploring tirelessly, in search for a new discovery.
Knuckles rested on top of the Master Emerald, deciding to take a break from his searches and sunbathe. It was an hour or two of peace and the occasional sounds of wildlife. Until suddenly, the Echidna heard rustling from the grass. Knuckles immediately got on the ready, expecting an attack. Was it Eggman? It was never too long before the Doctor decided it was time to disturb the peace. But even with his life full of adventures, Knuckles found himself surprised. A seemingly normal human being - not obese like eggman - casually revealed himself to the guardian, face revealed. There were still oddities about this human though. For one, his fashion sense. He wore some kind of ancient armor and had a large scar in the middle of his face, crossing his eyebrows down to his chin. He had a brown bushy tail wrapped around his waist and long spiky hair that reminded Knuckles of Sonic and Shadow's quills.
"Yo!" The 'Human' waved at Knuckles with a smile. Despite his calm nature, there was malice in the air. How would a human even get to Angel Island, and for what purpose? Were they working for Eggman, or did they have their own motives?
"State your business here! How the hell did you find Angel Island? Are you working with Eggman?" He got into a fighting position, standing his ground, only to be met with a smirk from the mysterious figure.
"Hold your horses man! I didn't come to hurt you. At Least, I won't hurt you yet. It depends on how well you cooperate, haha." The human's tail would unwrap around his waist and move around freely. "That Gem. I need it. I'm sorta on a tight schedule so lets make this easy yeah? Give it to me and no lives will have to end today."
"Heh, you don't seem to know who you're talking to! I'm the guardian of this emerald, and you won't lay a finger on it." Knuckles jumped in the air with a spin, before charging head on at his opponent. Only to be confused to see him disappear. "Where did you go?!" Knuckles wasn't fast like Sonic, but he didn't expect a human to just vanish in front of him. Then again, he should've expected the person to be somewhat formidable - he didn't bring any defenses and definitely had abnormal traits.
"I'm above you." Suddenly, Knuckles felt immense weight on his head. Was he standing in his head the entire time?! The opponent jumped back and kicked Knuckle's face which sent him crashing towards the trees. "I'm always picking up the trash these days. And here I was hoping for a half-decent fight. Maybe I should just destroy this planet once I'm finished here…"
Knuckles got up from the rubble. ( "This guy… he's just toying with me. " ) The thought of being toyed with pissed him off, and he wiped blood from his mouth. "Rgh…" Knuckles walked up to humans, and cracked his well, uh, namesake.
"Just remember you brought this upon yourself!" Knuckles lunged at the human again, causing him to dodge out of the way. The Villain began to mock the Echidna as he easily evaded the attack. "This is futile. You don't pose even the sligh- '' however, Knuckles would appear above him. He underestimated his speed, he wasn't at full power yet.
"TAKE THIS!" Knuckles would collide his fist against the enemy's cheek, the impact creating a large crater on Angel Island and blowing the enemy away. Small red sparks of chaos power would surge through Knuckles as he cracked his namesakes. "You underestimate my capabilities. If I was weak, I wouldn't be a very good guardian now would i?"
Knuckle's opponent would fly out of the rubble of destroyed trees and slowly levitate towards him while dusting off his armor a bit. "Oh damn, that was pretty cool! You got strength to back up the name. I actually kinda like you, it's too bad you have to die-" Knuckles stood his ground showing no signs of giving up. He had so many thoughts running through his mind right now.
("He can fly? He was just straight up levitating in the air like it was no sweat to him at all… has he made contact with the Chaos Emeralds before? That doesn't matter right now, I'm going to need back up. He is too strong. ") As Knuckles made an attempt to contact Sonic and Tails, the human flew up in the sky with a white aura wrapping around him violently.
"Man, I would like to stay a little longer and continue fighting. I have the feeling there are even stronger adversaries for me to go loose on… oh well. I've run out of time." He began charging a giant ball of energy towards the Island… "Gene said I just need to add energy to the Emerald or something, so let's see if just blasting the damn thing works!" The energy ball gets bigger, and Knuckles looks in horror as he's powerless to stop it. "Just who is this guy?! He's gonna destroy all of Angel Island! Wait…" that's when Knuckles realized the ball wasn't aiming at him, but the Master Emerald!
The Villain smirked evilly as the energy gathered and the sky turned red. The sheer pressure and negative aura of the energy slowly began to kill life on the island. It was the literal countdown of doom - and Knuckles knew there was no backup this time. He made a mad sprint towards the Emerald in desperation. All that ran through his mind was "NO! STOP! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE DOING!"
"METEOR SHOCK!" Knuckles heard his enemy name his attack and fire the giant black energy orb from hell. Time seemingly slowed for the helpless echidna as he desperately approached the Master Emerald. Behind him, he felt immense heat, as if his back was slowly being consumed
by lava. The Energy Ball traveled fast, and despite his best efforts… It was too little, too late!
! …. BOOOOOOOM !
Central City/Emerald Town - Mobius
OST - Emerald Coast (SA1)
Sonic the Hedgehog was resting on top of Tail's Lab. He was bored out of his mind - it has been a good while since his adventure on Starfall Island. A year in fact. A full, peaceful year with no sign of Dr. Eggman after his latest defeat. He should be happy - after all, life should automatically be better without a mad scientist trying to take over the universe and turn it into 'Eggman Land'. But Sonic was different from peace-lovers. Of course, he wanted his world to be safe, but being a hero was his whole gig. It's what made his life interesting, all the perilous adventures and trials. Meeting new allies and foes alike. He didn't like sitting around. Not that he did usually, he was always moving regardless if there was something to do or not. This was a rare occasion where he was caught actually waiting. "Waiting… eh, this isn't right. What am I even doing right now!" Sonic jumped off the building and landed on the streets of Emerald Town, rubbing his black nose before doing his trademark smirk.
"May as well get some exercise in and come back." Suddenly, Sonic sped off away from Emerald Town in a flash, "jogging at a casual pace", which for him meant breaking the sound barrier. It took him around 10 minutes to run around the entire planet, and this was his jogging speed. It made him reflect on how much stronger and faster he has gotten since he first squared up with Dr. Eggman, back when running through Green Hill all the way to Scrap Brain was a slight challenge (though mainly because he took endless detours trying to save the trapped animals instead of running straight across.) Now in the mystic ruins, Sonic took a minute to look at Angel Island.
"I wonder if Knucklehead ever wants to leave that place. I mean I get he has a duty and all but sheesh, doesn't it ever get-" as Sonic continued talking to himself, he witnessed the Island explode from the energy blast. Sonic blocked his eyes from the blinding light that reached all the way from down where Sonic was. "Ok, that just happened. I guess it's time for a little fun, about time." Assuming Eggman was back to his old tricks, he was about to meet up with Tails and hop on the Tornado. However, before he did anything else, he witnessed a crack form in the very sky itself. "What the-?" It got bigger and much worse, as if the fabric of reality was breaking apart like glass.
The Hedgehog couldn't help but form a smile on his face. As the sky began to "shatter", Sonic was swept up into the air, and was headed for the cracks in the sky. "Woah Woah Woah! Not good!" Sonic attempted to use his spin-dash to direct himself back in the ground, but it didn't accomplish anything. The last thing Sonic remembered was seeing being in a white void, and seeing strange images in the void. He witnessed a man with black spiky hair scream at the top of his lungs; "FRIEZA!" As he fought off hordes of aliens in space. The Hedgehog didn't know what to make of it, but he continued watching.
The Spiky-haired man charged up a blue energy ball in one of his hands. "Listen up Frieza! We quit, all of us! Got it?! We don't work for you anymore - WE'RE FREE! You can find someone else to do your dirty work!" The ball in his hand got bigger and stronger. "Oh… and before I forget." The man smirked as he defiantly looked down at the alien named 'Frieza'. "This is for all the people we killed in your name! We should have never been foolish enough to obey you!" He threw the energy ball at Frieza, who began laughing in response.
"Woah… what am I watching?" Sonic thought as he watched the final moments of the Saiyan Race unfold right before his eyes, the vision ending with Frieza destroying the planet …
