Mount Paozu - Earth (Universe 7)
Two powerful energies were felt from across the mountains. Goten was training hard with his father. It hasn't been long since Gohan managed to destroy Cell Max. Goku was astonished to have learned all of this has happened right under his nose, and with the threat of Frieza's new "black" form waiting to pounce on our unsuspecting heroes, Goku decided it was finally time to strengthen up his second son, Goten. Goten showed immense potential at a young age, managing to achieve the legendary Super Saiyan transformation at merely seven years old. While it took most other users of the form much training and a traumatic event or rageful fit of anger to transform, (among other factors, like S-Cells, but i'll go into that later.) Goten has managed to become a Super Saiyan easily without any real battle experience. That's how Goku knew Goten and his friend Trunks, who similarly achieved Super Saiyan, had the most potential out of any of them.
But they were lazy. They didn't have the unquenchable thirst to fight like their fathers, nor a desire to protect their loved ones like Gohan does because they never experienced the true terrors of the world resting on their shoulders. They did have to fight against Majin Buu of course, but once again Goku and the rest of the Z-Fighters managed to save the Earth, allowing the kids to experience a normal teenage life. Being a "monkey boy" raised in the woods and beginning his journey of fighting various evils… Goku doesn't even know what going to School could be like. He had Saiyan instincts, the desire to continue improving himself in battle. Goten, a Saiyan-Human hybrid, while inheriting the power of his father, has more human concerns.
"AAAAH! DAD WAIT A MINUTE!" Goten, as a Super Saiyan, struggled to keep up with his father. He could barely read his movements. He had basic ki control, but not advanced ki control. He struggled to locate where his father was and everytime he locked on it was too late. ("Ah come on, can't he at least go easy?!")
"You are wide open GOTTEEEN!" Suddenly, Goku appeared from above, kicking Goten into the chest with enough force to send him crashing through various trees. Any normal person would think Goku was a superhuman physco trying to kill his own son. But Saiyans aren't normal - flying out from the rubble like it was only a minor scratch, Goten got into his fighting pose. "It's not over yet Dad!" The golden aura of a Super Saiyan coated Goten as he rushed towards, attempting to land a barrage of blows. Goten's attacks were powerful, but they were messy and had no real coordination or precision. Goku dodged every one of Goten's attacks, making his son trip and accidentally punch a hole through the ground. Mount Paozu rumbled as Goten struggled to get his hand out.
"This is a lot easier as Gotenks…" Goten admitted, puffing as he is unable to keep up with his dad. "You can't always rely on Fusion Goten! What if Trunks isn't around? And I can assure you, your opponent won't stand around and wait for you to fuse." Goku thought back to the time where he and Vegeta needed to fuse into Gogeta to stand a chance. If it wasn't for Frieza "willingly" stepping up to be a target for a while, they wouldn't have made it.
"Listen up Son. One of these days, you'll have to take center stage in a real life or death fight. That means you won't have anyone else to help you, not even Trunks."
"Ah come on Dad, don't you think you're exaggerating like, a little?" Goten shrugged it off, though he had a gut feeling he could be right. Life is just that unpredictable, especially for Saiyans.
"On your feet Goten! You've got ways to go!" Goku transformed into a Super Saiyan, his power level far exceeding Goten's. "Get ready-!"
"But Dad?! I can't beat you normally!" Goten whined but he got into a fighting position, still in the Super Saiyan state himself.
"You know, Vegeta is training Trunks really hard. It's too bad you are gonna be left behind!" Goku smirked as he flew towards Goten, reeling back his fist for a punch. Goten managed to retaliate with his own punch, causing a massive shockwave throughout Mt. Pazou.
"Wait seriously? No way I'm gonna be left behind by him!" If there was one thing about Saiyans Goten inherited, it's their competitive nature. He either had to be equal or past Trunks, no in betweens. (Not to mention, if Trunks got too far ahead they wouldn't be able to fuse. But I suppose that's another thing entirely.) Using his newfound motivation, he unleashed a burst of strength and managed to catch Goku by surprise, winning the struggle of fists and kicking Goku's cheek with a roundhouse, sending him crashing through the mountain and leaving a massive trail of Goku's crashing body.
"Ka…Me…Ha…Me…" Goten cupped his hands as a Blue energy sphere gathered in his hands and slowly became bigger. "HAAAAA!" He fired a beam of energy directly where Goku was, and the beam exploded, making a bigger impact than even Goten himself expected. "Woops- did I overdo it..?"
Suddenly, Goku appeared out of thin air and in front of Goten with his Instant Transmission Technique. "Sorry buddy, it's gonna take more than that to take your old man down! Hehe!" Goten and Goku shared a hearty laugh, but their fun was immediately replaced with fear and tension when they heard "GOOOOKUUUUUUU!"
"Uh oh, I think Mom is mad at us… we may have overdid it… a little…" Goten looked at the hole through the mountains and sweat rolled down his face.
Goku just continued laughing although nervously. They went back to the house and got a serious talking-to from Chi-Chi. And Since Goten was supposed to be studying and not destroying their home, he didn't get any less of the trouble.
She sighed, "I was hoping you'd be more like Gohan, but you are always out there competing with Trunks or destroying places with your Dad…" Goten was staying in school, but he certainly wasn't aiming to be a scholar like his big brother Gohan did. The Family enjoyed a meal together consisting of Goku and Goten competing with who was more gluttonous than the other (Saiyans have uh… big appetites.)
Above West City

The Sky darkens as a Portal opens up in the sky and the King of the "New" Saiyan Race looks below at citizens going about their daily life. His brown cloak covered his face and details, and his tail was tucked away.
"So this is the planet Vegeta has been living on." He looked at his surroundings for a moment, descending onto a skyscraper and just watching how the people of Earth operate. "This Planet doesn't seem to be taken over, curious. Vegeta and the other one should be the strongest beings on this planet. Yet, I see no control. Interesting."
The King drops "sparkles" of ki from his hand - too small to see, and not like a ki blast in nature. It was like dumping small drops of water. The Saiyan flew higher into the sky, and as the sparkles approached the ground…
! BOOOOOOOM !
Half of West-City was eradicated in an instant. "I didn't put enough power into that blast." He wanted to eradicate Vegeta's entire home and him with it. But he supposed a fight was now inevitable. Down below, people were now panicking and screaming. The amount of casualties in an instant was high. It was a tragedy for the norms of Earth.
On the other side of the City, still in pieces more or less, Trunks, Bulma, and Vegeta ran outside of Capsule Corp. to see what was going on. "It's terrible, all these energies are dropping so fast… who could've done this?!" Trunks said, while looking at his father.
( "This Energy… It feels so familiar and yet foreign at the same time. Damn it." ) "Whoever they are, they have a lot of nerve putting Bulma in danger like that! Trunks, stay back and protect your mother!" Vegeta flew off towards the perpetrator without hesitation. "VEGETA WAIT!" Bulma tried to stop him but as usual it was a futile effort.
"YOU BASTARD!" It wasn't long until the Prince of all Saiyans found the mysterious Saiyan and threw a powerful punch, which was met with a punch of his own.
"I have finally found you Vegeta, sorry about the mess I made, you don't mind cleaning it though right?"
"You think this is a game do you?!" Vegeta overpowered the mysterious Saiyan easily once he transformed into a Super Saiyan 2, an ascended form of the basic transformation. "I don't know who the hell you are or what you want, but I'll make you regret ever coming here!" The other Saiyan widened his eyes, shocked at Vegeta's impressive show of power. "Super Saiyan, I didn't expect your kind to be able to achieve this form. I admit, I did doubt Gene when he said, you and Kakarot wielded the ancient power of Super Saiyan Gods, hehe."
Vegeta followed up with a barrage of consecutive punches to the chest, but the enemy always had a counter - he either dodged, blocked, or threw a punch of his own. They were seemingly evenly matched. The Fight took to the skies as shockwaves were felt across the entire earth and beyond. Vegeta and the Mysterious Saiyan teleported and clashed throughout different areas of the city, their sheer power and speed making them appear invisible to the naked eye.
Vegeta charged up large portions of Ki into his hands and fired a barrage of homing Ki missiles towards the enemy Saiyan. "You sure are aggressive…" The Evil Saiyan admitted, putting his arms up, blocking the blasts with a dust cloud covering him up.
Knowing the fight was far from over, Vegeta got into a fighting pose, and made himself ready for the next attack. As predicted, the enemy came flying out into the dust and kicked Vegeta's arm, hurting it terribly in the process. ( "Damn, I'm getting sloppy. I shouldn't have seen that coming a mile away.") Vegeta stepped back in pain, holding his arm. He closed his eyes for a minute, calming down his rage and got ready to fight again.
"Well well, it seems you got a lucky shot. I can assure you, that will not happen again. HAAAAAAAAAAA!" The ground began to shake as Vegeta released more of his energy, he cupped his hands in a different way than the Kamehameha, charging up purple energy huge enough to cover up his entire body. "See you… in Hell Bastard!"
Vegeta teleported in front of the Saiyan Warrior catching him off guard. "I'll blast you off the face of this planet! GALICK GUN!"
!.. PEEEW .. !
The Saiyan Warrior was caught point-blank in blast range, being sent out of Earth's orbit and somewhere into Space. "Hmph. I didn't even need to break a sweat." Vegeta relaxed into base form and was on his way to Capsule Corp, until he felt an immense energy coming straight towards him at terrifying speeds. "Oh? It seems you have some more fight in you!" Vegeta burst into Super Saiyan 2 again, getting ready for Round 2.
"What the- Hell?!"
Satan City - Son Gohan Residence
"Are you ok Gohan…?" Videl was concerned about her husband, who was just staring at the window with a terrified expression. "Someone just… wiped out half of West City and now Vegeta is fighting them. Listen, I'll be back, I need to see what's going on." ( "This Ki signature… its familiar yet…")
Mt. Pazou
Goten was listening to music while doing his homework for the next School Day. "Whew, why do they have to dump so much on me…?" Goten walked downstairs to grab a mug and make some Tea. After a few minutes, he was ready to walk back upstairs before he felt thousands of Kis drop in an instant. Horrified by the massacre of defenseless citizens coming over so suddenly, he dropped the mug, shattering it.
"Goten!" Chi-Chi looked at Goten, initially just upset with her broken mug. But her expression changed when she saw how horrified Goten looked. A few seconds later, Goku walked in through the front door with a serious expression. "You felt it too Goten?" He asked.
"Yeah… and now Vegeta is fighting the same person." Goten replied. Goku nodded his head in response. "What is with you two? What happened?" Chi-Chi wanted an answer, since she couldn't sense Ki.
"Half of West City just got wiped out, and the person who did it is very powerful." Goten explained, which made Chi-Chi look shocked in response. Goten hurried and cleaned the mess he made, while Goku got out of his T-shirt and into his iconic orange Gi.
Goten came down stairs, changing out of his School uniform and into a Gi of his own. "I'm going with you Dad!" Goten looked serious. He wanted to see the state of the City, and check on Trunks. Besides, while his father does the fighting he could potentially help minimize the casualties.
"Oh no you are not Goten! You have to stay here where it's safe and do your work!" Chi-Chi demanded. And, when Goten was younger, this definitely worked. But Goten had a different response this time around.
"I'll catch up before Monday, don't worry! But my mind is made up. I can't just ignore this!" Goku smiled at Goten's response, happy to see he's getting in the action a little more. "Alright then, hold on to me Goten!" Goten did so, and he looked at his mother one more time. "Don't worry Mom! I'll be fine!" And they both vanished together via Goku's Instant Transmission.
Chi-Chi sighed in defeat knowing there was nothing she could do now but pray for their safety.
Back at West City
"What the Hell?!" Vegeta was shocked to see the Evil Saiyan come at him with a giant red sword made out of Ki. "You didn't think it was over, did you Vegeta! I have been mentally and physically preparing myself for this very confrontation! You are but a fool to underestimate me!" Vegeta managed to dodge the first strike from the blade, but he was left wide open for a follow up kick which made Vegeta crash through the rubble of the destroyed city.
"Looks like this will be a little more difficult than i thought…" Suddenly, Goku along with Goten arrive next to the Prince of all Saiyans. "Hey Vegeta! Looks like you've taken quite a beating. I guess he is strong huh?" A rush of excitement came over Goku, he always liked fighting new strong foes.
"I'm gonna check on Trunks and his mom." Goten flew towards Capsule Corp while Goku approached the Evil Saiyan.
"Alright, You are fighting me now!" Goku smiled as he looked at the Mysterious Villain. The Evil Saiyan smirked. "You must be Kakarot. Defending the prince I see? I doubt you'll last any longer."
"HELL NO KAKAROT!" Vegeta flew after Goku and punched his arm. "OW VEGETA WHAT THE HECK?!" "This is my fight! I got here first so you have to wait!" Vegeta snapped.
"No fair! You were already fighting him for a bit! It's my turn now!" Goku complained, while Vegeta continued arguing. "Damn it, no! Why do you always have to insert yourself into every fight?! I can handle this on my own dammit!"
"Rock Paper Scissors. Now." Goku replied.
"I thought you would never ask." Vegeta smirked.
The Villain just stared at the two Saiyans in confusion. He was expecting a serious fight, not… whatever this childish behavior was.
"ROCK!"
"PAPER!"
"SCISSORS!"
"HA!"
…
…
…..
. . . . .
"Hahahaha! Take that Kakarot! It looks like I won!"
"Aw man, I knew Paper was the wrong choice-" Goku crossed his arms and puffed, but either way was still eager to see this fight unfold. "You think he's with Frieza?" Goku asked Vegeta.
"Like Hell if I know, but he knows who we are. It seems he is after me."
"Well that makes sense, you would have a lot of enemies for destroying so many Planets back when you worked for Frieza~"
Vegeta approached the enemy, smirking all the while. "I actually have to admit, you are even stronger than I thought you'd be." A red aura slowly manifested around Vegeta's body. "Good. That means this won't be a total waste of my time after all. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" A red flashy light covered the entire city.
The Evil Saiyan covered his face, his cloak almost being blown off by the force of Vegeta's Transformation. When the light was cleared, the flames of Super Saiyan God were revealed.
"This time, things won't be very easy for you." Vegeta approached The enemy at such speed that he actually struggled to see Vegeta move at all! The tide of the fight was drastically turned as Vegeta sinked his fist into the Gut of the Mystery Villain.
"DAH-!" the Saiyan coughed up blood and stepped back holding his gut… ("I didn't think Vegeta would be this strong. I am going to need even more power!") He jumped back, holding his energy sword tighter. "So this is the power of a false Saiyan God. I expected it to be a bit weak, considering you are a tainted saiyan." The Saiyan pointed his blade at Vegeta who raised his eyebrow.
"I must apologize to you Vegeta. It was arrogant of me to think this would be easy, it's not like anyone can win the favor of the God of Destruction. I will fight you with proper Saiyan respect, and show you my true power!" The Warrior ripped off his cloak entirely, revealing an ancient and royal Saiyan armor with gold and gray colors. He even had a golden crown that went around his forehead below his spiky hair. Like any Saiyan, he had a bushy brown tail. He had a clean face with minimum scars, but under his armor he had a whole plethora of them. He was slim for a Saiyan, kinda like Goku.
"Woah! Another Saiyan?! I seriously thought Broly was the last one, but here we are.. I guess Frieza really didn't do as much as he thought he did huh?" Goku yelled out while looking at the newcomer Saiyan.
"I had a feeling you were a Saiyan. So tell me, what is it you're after? Why the hell did you come to Earth? You better not be aligned with Frieza." Vegeta said.
"I am Byo. My goal here is rather simple actually… it's to rid this world of tainted Saiyan blood. Vegeta and Kakarot, I sentence you both to Death." He pointed his sword at Vegeta and calmly explained his purpose. "And if you have any offspring that carries your blood…" He smirked before looking at Goten and Trunks, who though far away were visible. "HA!" He fired a homing ki shot towards their direction, leaving both Goku and Vegeta stunned.
Meanwhile, the energy attack was coming straight for Goten, Trunks, and Bulma. While Bulma was explaining the situation to Goten, they all noticed the ball coming towards them…
"It's coming straight for us!" Bulma yelled out before backing away in a panic. However, before she could be blown to bits, Goten and Trunks quickly turned into Super Saiyans and deflected the blast somewhere into the sky.
"WATCH WHERE YOUR AIMING DUMBASS!" Trunks yelled out, angered that his mother could've been killed. However, he was unaware it was intended solely for him and Goten.
"You… are gonna pay for that one!" Vegeta lost his damn mind after that one and lashed out at Byo, kneeing him in the stomach before cupping his hands and slamming down into the city. "Anyone who dares to harm my family has a death wish! You are going to SUFFER!" Vegeta launched a barrage of Red Ki Blasts before Byo could recover. After a few seconds of consecutive fire, he paused to see the results.
Goku was angry as well, and he wanted to lash out on Byo for threatening Goten. But he respected Vegeta wanting to go at it one-on-one, so he continued watching.
"Oooh, are we having a tantrum? What barbaric behavior!" Byo mocked Vegeta as he teleported behind Vegeta and kicked his rib-cage, the impact causing another shockwave across the earth. ("Damn it, I didn't see him escape! He must have been toying with me before!") Vegeta, still in his Super Saiyan God form, spun around and tried to punch Byo, but he dodged the attack and went for another blow. This time, Vegeta jumped back and used the Burst Dash technique to immediately reach Byo and begin a barrage of ruthless punches and kicks. The two Saiyans exchanged blows as they started ascending higher and higher into the sky.
Burst Dash: a technique in the Dragon Ball series where a character such as Goku flies directly at the opponent at very high speeds usually with an aura surrounding them.
"DADADADADADA!" The two Saiyans began flying around in the sky, occasionally landing successful blows and even throwing Ki Blasts. Throughout the fight, Byo seemingly had the upper hand the entire time, as Vegeta visibly struggled while Byo kept a calm expression. "You're really starting to get on my damn nerves!"
"Oho! I suggest you do something about it then, Prince!" Byo used the term 'Prince' in a mocking tone. The Battle raged on with Goku watching the meanwhile. "Man, I can't take this anymore! I really wanna fight him!" He yelled out.
"It seems I won't be needing the Chaos Emeralds after all. I'm beating your ass black and blue just fine. Maybe I was even jumping the gun with my earlier compliment…" Byo commented, purposely provoking the Prince of all Saiyans.
"Shut your trap!" Vegeta flew towards Byo with a combo of kicks, before launching him through several mountains, following up with another Burst Dash and pushing him through the mountains with a single punch. "You may be strong, but you aren't as much of a challenge as Broly!" Byo eyes widened, but he didn't say anything regarding Vegeta's comment. "HAAAA!" Byo then pushed Vegeta away by creating a huge energy barrier following his shout. After he got Vegeta off him, he manifested his Energy Sword again, and made multiple Air slashes with his blade.
Vegeta managed to dodge each of them and smirked. "Child's Play." The fight raged on as clashes could be seen and heard all over the sky. Though, because of the battle, Vegeta didn't notice the sky begin to change. Goku however, did. And it seemed Byo did as well.
"What's going on with the sky?" Sweat rolled down Goku's face. A literal crack in the sky began to appear, and slowly reality seemed to break apart like fragile glass. Eventually, the fight came to a pause.
"What the Hell is this nonsense?! It's like the Sky is shattering apart!" Vegeta said as he looked up, confused and weirded out.
"Damn, how much time passed during our little skirmish? Looks like you can continue living for the time being. Both of you should be rotting corpses by now, but I guess things didn't quite go as planned." He smirked, before vanishing into thin air - but it wasn't like Instant Transmission. He seemed to teleport by different means.
"Come back you Bastard!" Vegeta yelled out, though it was pointless.
At Capsule Corp, Goten and Trunks looked at the sky breaking apart in terror. They witnessed similar things, but nothing on this scale, it was terrifying. Was it a result of Vegeta's fight or something else?
Suddenly, everyone began being sucked into the cracks in the air. Even Goku and Vegeta, with their almighty Ki Control couldn't resist the pull!
"Wha- HEY!" - Goku
"WHAT THE HELL?!" - Vegeta
"Trunks, Goten, HELP!" Bulma cried as she was being lifted up, and Goten and Trunks weren't faring any better. "I'm coming! Trunks, let's try to stick together!" Goten said while Trunks nodded. They redirected themselves towards Bulma and grabbed her, and then held hands so wherever they were going they wouldn't be separated - hopefully.
The Last thing our Heroes remembered was a bright flash covering over them…
Whew! That ends Chapter 2! Not gonna lie, I don't write fights often. So sorry if that was a bit clunky, confusing, or underwhelming. I'll try to improve as the story goes on, and i'd love to hear suggestions regarding it! Chapter 3 will focus on our Heroes after the merging of worlds, so stay tuned because things are gonna get even more exciting!
I admit, I don't write Sonic the Hedgehog very often (or Fanfiction in general -) so I did shy away from him and focused on the Dragon Ball characters which I felt a bit more comfortable with. Next chapter will mainly focus on Sonic and better explain what they have been up to. See you next time!
