Harry's POV:
As we arrived at the school, I took a breath and prepared for the year to come. It was gonna be a fun year. Me and Hermione in Slytherin? The riot. Noticing the Weasley Twins were not at the Gryffindor table, I hoped the twins were getting a resort. If they are, they'll most likely come to Slytherin. They're in their third year now, I think at least, so they should be able to do a resort. I didn't ask them to though. I waited patiently for Hermione's name to be called.
"GRANGER, HERMIONE!" was called out by professor mcgonagall. It took a moment, but the hat called out,
"SLYTHERIN!" I smiled at her. She smiled back brightly and made her way to the Slytherin table.
"MALFOY, DRACO!" was called out after more names.
"SLYTHERIN!" was called out after just a few seconds of waiting. I tuned the sorting out until my own name was called.
"POTTER-BLACK, HADRIAN!" was called out. I stepped forward and returned to my normal form. Dumbledore looked startled at the name. I looked him in the eyes.
I know your plans. It won't work. I mouthed to him. He went pale. I smiled innocently at him and took my place on the stool.
"Where to, young one?" The hat, Alistor, asked me. I smiled.
"My true home, Alistor." I said, thinking of all the chaos that would take place this year.
"So be it, my child. My heir. Better be... SLYTHERIN!" The hat was suddenly gone.
"Thanks, Alistor!" I called happily as I joined Draco and Hermione at the Slytherin table. Remus looked after me, gaping.
All part of my plan. I mouthed at him. He nodded and smiled at me. I smiled back. After many more names, I noticed 3 redheads left. Ron, Fred, and George. The Twins looked.. Anxious and more than a little shy. Ron, obviously, was sorted into Gryffindor.
"WEASLEY, FRED!" Was called out. After a few moments..
"SLYTHERIN!" Alistor shouted. Then George.
"WEASLEY, GEORGE!" was called next. A minute, and..
"SLYTHERIN!" Alistor called out once more. I stood and clapped as loudly as I possibly could, prompting the other Slytherins to join me. Hermione first, then Draco, then Draco's friends, and their friends, and soon, the whole table was clapping. Fred, who'd waited nearby for his brother, took his brothers hand and led him gently to the Slytherin table.
"Everyone move down two seats!" I called to the people on my side of the table. Soon, two seats were made right next to me for the twins.
"Don't worry about what happens next. I have plans regarding you two, ones I think you'll enjoy." I murmured to Fred, who'd sat down next to me. He passed that on to George, and I saw both of them relax in their seats. I smiled at them and began eating. After the feast, we were led to the common room. The password, as usual, was Pure-Blood. Hermione hesitated. I took her hand and led her through the door. The common room was just as beautiful as it was in my second year in my first life. A wonderful green glow surrounded the common room, caused by the fact that the common room was in the dungeons, with several windows that allowed the Slytherins to see inside the Black Lake. The dark, murky water projected a soft, comforting green glow that made the Slytherins feel safe when many don't feel safe enough at home.
"Stunning." I murmured under my breath. Snape caught my eye and smiled at me. Unusual. But I guess he probably had blocks on him in my time. And it would help my plan to get him on the dark side. With that in mind, I settled in a seat where Hermione sat down on my lap. I hugged her waist and discreetly kissed her neck. On either side of me, Fred and George sat down, and across from me was Draco. I didn't pay much attention to the other Slytherins.
"Welcome, first years, and the two third years, to Slytherin House." Snape said in a surprisingly gentle voice.
"Many of the Slytherins here come from abusive backgrounds. If you are in that same boat, I'd like you to sign up to meet with me to discuss.. Options. Please note that I will do whatever I can to help you. I will not judge you, or laugh at you. It is my job, as your head of house, to protect you. Besides that, the rules in this house are simple. If you are going to do something that is against the rules, do not get caught. If you get caught, you are expected to accept the consequences. That is all. The Girls dormitories are on the left, the boys on the right. There are separate rooms for soulmates who are already bonded. If you are one of those pairs, come talk to me." Snape finished, still gentle throughout his entire speech. I kissed Hermione's neck again, discreetly, before nudging her off of my lap so I could approach Snape. In front of Snape, even as a 25 year old in the body of an 11 year old, I was 25 when Ginny and Ron killed me, I was nervous and more than a little insecure. Me and Hermione hadn't bonded yet, but she's a half blood from a not very known family, and I didn't want her being hurt over her blood status. I needed to bond with her as soon as possible.
"Excuse me, professor? Is there any chance me and my soulmate can get one of those rooms? We're not bonded yet, but sir, my soulmate is a half blood from a not very known family, the Dagworth-Grangers, and we are officially consorts and planning to bond as soon as possible. I don't want anything to happen to my soulmate." I asked Snape. He looked me in the eyes, and I stared back openly.
"Take the first on the right. The password will be up to you." Snape told me. I breathed a big sigh of relief. I walked away from Snape, took Hermione's hand, and led her to the first room on the right. The portrait at the door, a snake with none other than Salazar Slytherin, said..
"Hello, young ones. The password is up to the two of you." Salazar said gracefully.
"What do you think, Darling?" I asked Hermione gently. She smiled at me.
"Let's go with.. Mischief Managed." Hermione said with a mischievous grin towards me.
"Perfect, darling. Shall we go in?" I asked Hermione as the door swung open. She nodded and we went in. What we found was.. An empty room?
"This room works like the Room of Requirement. I believe Professor Snape chose for you to have it because he wants you to know he's loyal to you and only you." A voice said. Another portrait, also containing Salazar Slytherin, was behind us. The door was a two sided portrait.
"I do hope I'm not intruding." Salazar said with amusement. I shook my head.
"Not at all, Grandfather." I replied, a teasing lilt to my voice as I turned to look at my ancestor.
"My family line was born from Ignotus Peverall. I'm your heir." I explained at his baffled look.
"Ah. Then welcome, my child. Is this your soulmate?" Salazar asked.
"She is. Darling, Salazar Slytherin. Sal, meet my consort, Hermione Granger of Dagworth-Granger. I am Hadrian Potter Black, and my titles are too long to name now." I said with a small chuckle.
"Black, you say? Related to Regulus by any chance?" Salazar asked.
"I am. Blood adopted as a baby by his brother, Sirius. Speaking of which, I have a suspicion that Regulus is still alive." I told Salazar. He nodded, wondering why I was telling him that.
"Where he's being kept is filled with Inferi. I have no hope of rescuing him on my own. I also have no powers in Necromancy, meaning if he's been turned, I have no hope of helping him. Voldemort, on the other hand, does have talent in Necromancy, meaning I need to revive him before we can save Regulus." I told Salazar. He nodded.
"What do you need from me?" Salazar asked.
"Access to your private library. I need to find a way to revive him fully sane, all of his horcruxes reabsorbed. He went mad in my past life, I time traveled here after being killed while wearing a Time Turner, killed many people who didn't need to be killed for his goal to be reached. It's my goal to prevent that this time." I told Salazar. He nodded.
"It should be in my chamber, inside the stature of me. There's a bedroom, a study, a library, a kitchen, and a private floo in there. But be careful. The basilisk.." Salazar explained, trailing off.
"I know. She was released in my past life. I'll be careful. I had to kill her in that time, she was under the control of Voldemort, not quite sane, and tried to kill me. Don't worry, I know how to get through to her. But, just one thing. What's her name?" I asked Salazar.
"Her name is Percilla." Salazar said quietly.
"Sal." I said. He looked at me.
"If I can help it, no harm will come to her while I'm around." I told Salazar. He nodded to me. I turned to Hermione.
"I need to speak with him. Stay here. I love you." I told her gently with a soft smile. Not yet having my Invisibility Cloak, I murmured a hushed spell, the Disillusionment Charm, and I was suddenly invisible. I left the room, and then left the dormitories. I found my way to Quirrel's office, and knocked on the door. He answered, but looked confused when he saw no one there.
"Disillusionment charm. Let me in, please, I need to speak with you." I said quietly. Quirrel stepped aside and let me in. I stepped inside, and released the charm when he had shut the door. He turned around and gasped.
"H-harry Potter." Quirrel stuttered.
"Take off the Turban, please, I need to speak with him." I told Quirrel. He slowly unwrapped the purple Turban, and Voldemort was revealed.
