The complex that stood in front of her was like nothing she had ever seen before. It was a massive facility that stretched for a mile. Massive towers were dotted around the place. A large wall surrounded the base, and guards patrolled outside and inside the perimeter. She could see large turrets around the facility, all of them pointed towards the sky.

Pyrrha got up and slowly walked towards the outer wall of the complex. She kept her distance from the soldiers that occasionally patrolled the outside perimeter. As she approached aircraft flew overhead. Some of them looked like modified bullhead transports, but she didn't recognise any of the other aircraft.

She ducked down as a group of soldiers came to a stop near her. They looked around for a brief moment, and then went back to walking. She breathed a sigh of relief as she got back up again. She scoured the entire perimeter, looking for an entrance into the facility. She ducked down every time a group of soldiers walked past.

She noticed a small hole in the perimeter. It wasn't very far from her, but a single soldier blocked her path. She looked around her and found a small rock. She picked it up and hurled it far away. The soldier heard the noise and went to investigate. Pyrhha took her chance and dashed towards the hole, slipping past the distracted guard.

Luckily, the hole was large enough for her to fit through. She crawled through it and entered the other side of the wall.

That was the easy part.

She took a look at her surroundings. Guards walked around the perimeter in squads which were much larger than before. Lava flowed through the ground outside of the facility. The walls off the facility itself were quite a distance away from her, but with some luck she could make it.

She made her way slowly towards the facility. Patrols occasionally came by, but they were easy to avoid. The guard towers were mostly empty, and the few towers that were manned wouldn't pose much of a threat to her. More aircraft occasionally flew over head. Some landed at the facility while others went over it.

She slipped past another group of soldiers as she finally reached the walls of the facility. They were tall and foreboding, but pipes stuck outside of the walls on occasion. As she walked around the perimeter, she looked for a way in and saw a pipe overlooking a small river of lava. As she walked towards it, she stopped dead in her tracks as she looked towards the small mound near the lava flow.

It was a mound of bodies. Pyrrha looked in horror at the mound, mouth wide open. She watched as two soldiers came towards the mound. They were both carrying a single body. They dumped it on the mound and walked off.

She swore she heard one of them chuckle after doing it.

She saw that most of the corpses were faunus. She sat down for a moment, and tried her best to regain her courage to move on. After a short while she got up and walked towards the pipe that overlooked the lava river. She tried her best to block out the image of the mound of corpses, but she couldn't keep the image out of her head. She made it to the pipe, and climbed into it. She looked back outside one last time before going deeper into the pipe.

She was going to stop whatever horrors that lay within the facility.

Tal'hasir looked over the device that lay in front of him. It was a computer that he'd managed to "liberate" from one of the Terran outposts nearby. Along with it, he managed to take some spy drones with him. They were extremely tiny, and he'd managed to hide them around the outside of the complex that the woman he met was infiltrating. One of the cameras had witnessed the girl enter through a small hole in the outside wall.

'I hope your successful. For both our sakes.' Tal thought to himself.

The young woman was daring, he had to give her that much. He prayed that she wouldn't see any of the horrors that lay outside of the facilities walls, but her chances of encountering the mounds of corpses was high. It could only get worse inside of the facility.

He turned the computer off and walked towards his ship. It was a fine vessel. It had gotten him onto this planet and had gotten him off it as well. If the time ever came, he might have to use it in combat. He didn't bother going towards the base himself, as it was heavily guarded with automatic anti-air guns. They could rip his Scout to shreds in seconds.

Suddenly, Tal heard voices come from the entrance of the cave. He turned on his cloaking device and hid behind his ship. He looked towards the group and saw five soldiers approach. Four of them were lightly armoured, but the fifth wore a suit of power armour.

"We've found ourselves a hideout, boys!" The armoured soldier spoke. He led the other soldiers deeper into the cave.

"You two, check that ship. You, guard the entrance. And you, follow me." The soldier spoke once more. He led one of the men towards the mound of crates that sat at one end of the cave. One man guarded the entrance while the other two men carefully walked towards Tal's ship.

Tal couldn't let any of these soldiers report back to base. He'd spent too long on this world, and his mission wasn't going to fail because of a small squad of soldiers. He slowly crept towards the entrance, going unnoticed by the two guards that were inspecting his ship. He slowly made his was towards the guard that was at the entrance.

"Nothing so far, si-" The guard spoke, but was immediately silenced by a hot glowing blade that went straight through his neck. None of the other soldiers noticed the soldiers death, so Tal walked towards the soldiers that were at the ship.

"You know, It looks kind of cool." A soldier spoke

"You sure? I've seen far better." Another soldier responded.

"Oh yeah, like wh- AHHHHHHH!" The soldier was silenced by a blade that went straight through his chest. He fell to the floor in a slump. The soldier next to him panicked and fired in the direction of his fallen comrade. Everyone else in the cave noticed the commotion.

"WHAT THE HELL WA-" The soldier's head was separated from his body before he could finish his sentence. A hot blade had sliced it clean off.

Tal walked towards the final two soldiers. The lightly armoured soldier panicked and ran. Tal charged him as his cloaking device ran out of energy. The soldier scrambled for his weapon but he was too late. A blade sliced him in half, sending both parts to the floor.

"Listen here, you son of a bitch. I'm going to kick your ass." The heavily armoured soldier shouted towards Tal. He raised his rifle and fired in Tal's direction. Tal charged towards him, dodging every shot that came his way. The soldier backed away with every shot. As Tal charged the soldier, he was hit by one of the rounds. It made a hole in his right arm, but It didn't stop him. Tal closed the distance and began his attack. He sliced the soldier's weapon in half, and then went for the soldier's arm.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!" The man screamed. His arm went clean off, falling to the floor. Tal finished off the marine by thrusting his blade directly into the soldiers face. The soldier fell to the floor. He made a thud as he hit the ground. Tal walked away from the corpses and back towards the computer. He turned it on and checked the spy cameras he had set up outside the base. If the soldiers had found his base, that meant the worst had happened. He'd already sent a message to Ironwood, and it was only a matter of time before he came. But with every passing second the girl that went to the facility was in more and more danger.

He prayed that the young woman was safe.

Pyrrha went through the identical tunnels that littered the underground. She'd been going through these pipes for what felt like half an hour. In the distance, she saw a small grate with a bit of light coming through it. She crawled towards it, making sure to move slowly so she wouldn't make too much noise. Voices came from outside the grate. She heard shouts and cries, and the sounds of machinery as well.

She made it to the grate and took a peek into the cave that lay beyond. It appeared to be a mine of some sorts, with people gathering up strange orange crystals that lay around the cave. Soldiers barked orders towards the people that worked the mines. She remembered the corpses that lay outside and panicked. She sat down again and tried to regain her courage. She had to stop this. She had to.

While nobody was watching, she opened the grate and climbed out. She landed on the ground unnoticed. She slipped past some of the guards that were watching over the miners. She tried to block out the cries and screams of the workers that she heard. She kept reminding herself that she was going to stop the people doing all this. She turned on the cloaking device that Tal had given her, so that she could slip past the heavy concentrations of guards. She walked down one of the mineshafts that broke off from the main cave. She looked around for any guards and found none. She turned off her cloaking device to conserve it's energy.

A small faunus child walked down the mineshaft that Pyrrha was in. She was carrying a crate of the minerals that engulfed most of the cave. The child saw Pyrrha. She dropped the crate to the ground in shock, but instantly noticed her mistake. She cowered and began to cry as Pyrrha slowly approached.

"Are you okay?" Pyrrha asked the small child. The little girl was stunned by Pyrrha's question.

"Don't worry. I'm here to help." She extended her hand towards the small child. The little girl looked towards Pyrrha for moment before grabbing her hand. Pyrrha pulled her up. The little girl still had tears in her eyes, so Pyrrha wiped them away with her hand. The little girl hugged Pyrrha, and she did the same.

"It's all going to be alright. I'm going to free everyone here. I promise." Pyrrha said. The little girl looked up to her. She smiled, and Pyrrha smiled back. The little girl went back to her duties while Pyrrha snuck off. She was going to keep the promise she made, no matter what.

She went through the mines, slipping past the guards that manned it. She made her way towards the entrance to the main part of the facility. A small group of guards were stationed nearby, but she turned on her cloaking device and went straight past them.

Now she was in another part of the facility. It looked to be some sort of refinery, with conveyor belts full of the minerals that were gathered from the cave. Pyrrha slipped past the guards and the workers that worked in the refinery. She made her way towards another set of doors.

She walked through the doors and went down the corridor that lay beyond it. She walked past a small squad of guards that didn't notice her. Soon, she found herself in massive room. It was tall and wide and a massive generator was stationed in the middle. Pyrrha looked around her. Right above her head was a walkway which had a control panel on top. She ran to the stairs and got up onto the walkway. Luckily, there was only one person at the control panel. She slowly walked towards him, making sure not to make any sound.

A small panel to the right of him suddenly turned on. A voice came through.

"Status report."

"All systems are operational. There's some power fluctuations in the refinery, but everything else is doing alright." The engineer responded to the voice. "Oh, and one more thing. Did you send anyone else down here? I heard the door open, but nobody came through.

"I'll come down and check it out. Keep on alert. Out."

The engineer looked back towards the control panel. Pyrrha took her opportunity. She dashed towards him and knocked him out with a single hit to the back of his head. The control panel that lay in front of her was slightly confusing. It had a ton of buttons and symbols. She began randomly pressing buttons in the hope that it would overheat the generator.

Suddenly, a group of soldiers came through a door on the other side of the room.

"You there! Stop!" One of the men in front shouted. As he spoke, the generator began to overheat. Pyrrha saw the men approach. She destroyed the panel that lay in front of her and jumped over the railings. She landed on the floor with a thud. The soldiers charged towards her, but before they could get to her she turned on her cloaking device.

Pyrrha ran back through the facility, slipping past the guards that roamed the halls. The soldiers behind her still gave chase. She made her way back into the mineshafts, and ran towards the pipe that she entered the facility in. As she ran, more guards were stirred up by the commotion. They joined the group of soldiers that gave chase to her.

She went down one of the mineshafts that branched off from the main cave system. Some of the soldiers gave chase as her cloaking device ran out of power. She found a rock to hide behind and dashed towards it. The soldiers stopped to look around. From the entrance of the mineshaft she could see another group coming down it. An officer lead in front while two heavily armoured soldiers followed closely behind. From the other end of the mineshaft another figure approached.

It was the little faunus girl from earlier. She looked towards the group of soldiers and stopped in her tracks. The officer saw the girl and ran towards her. He pulled out a gun with his right hand and grabbed the child's ears with his left hand.

"I know your in here! Give yourself up, or I'll shoot this little runt!" The officer shouted. He pointed his gun towards the child's head. She began to whimper, and looked around in fear. Pyrrha had to do something, and fast. She turned her weapon to it's rifle form and aimed it towards the soldiers hand.

"Where are you, you bastard?" The officer spoke up again. He pointed his gun away from the child. Pyrrha took her chance, and fired. The bullet went straight through the officers hand, knocking the gun away and freeing the child from his grip. He screamed as he fell to the floor. Every other soldier in the room panicked and readied their weapons. The child ran away, but the soldiers didn't bother to run after her.

"Here I am." Pyrrha spoke up. She came out from her hiding spot, weapons ready. The officer looked up to her for a second, before getting up off the ground. His right hand was mangled, and blood poured out from it.

"You… fucking… bitch." The officer looked towards his men. "Go on, then… arrest her." He tried to catch his breath after finishing his sentence.

Pyrrha checked her cloaking device. It had no energy left in it. She threw her weapon to the ground and put her hands into the air. She couldn't fight them all off. She wouldn't have to, if her plan worked.

The lights flickered on and off as the soldiers approached her.

"And… someone… check the generator. I think… ugh… she fucked it up." The officer spoke. He walked away as the men arrested Pyrrha. She had done enough damage. No doubt, they would have to turn off the generator to save it. Everything had been messed up.

He retreated back to his office.

"And your sure that now is the time to attack the facility?" A man spoke. He had a long tobacco pipe in his mouth, and an officers cap on his head.

"With the generator offline, it is. Tal already told me about the defences outside of the base going offline. With two ships, we could easily break in and take out their facility." Another man responded. He had black, scruffy hair and a goatee and wore a white military uniform.

"What about the prisoners?" Another man butted in. He wore a heavy suit of power armour. He had short hair and a stubby beard.

"We'll see what we can do for them." The man in the white uniform responded.

"Good. I'll talk to Mengsk. He might be able to spare a battlecruiser and a few dropships."

"You do that. We'll need all the firepower that we can get. The anti-air guns may be offline, but they still have their fighter wings. They might have some extra surprises waiting for us."

"This still seems like an insane idea, James. I'm all for taking the fight to our enemies, but are you sure we have the equipment to pull this off?" The man with the pipe asked.

"We do. Raynor, I need you to lead a squad of marines into the facility. Rescue anyone you can. I'll provide some of my troops to assist in the attack."

"I'll stay back on the ship, then. My men don't fair well in hazardous conditions."

"Alright then. Let's get to work."

The men all went their way, preparing for the mission to come.

They were going to hit Jacques right where it hurts.
