Master Control

Chapter 23

Izuku swiped his school ID against the door, a small light flashing green upon contact.

"Wow, we're really lucky." Kendo said as their large group entered the even bigger gymnasium that held mini environments and advanced workout equipment. "From what I've heard only the third year hero course students get after school access here."

"That's correct." Eraserhead said from behind them, the students now looking towards the very tall bandaged man. "So, consider yourselves lucky. I've had to pull some favors with Snipe to let you learn more about your new abilities."

"Wait." Ochaco pointed between herself and Kendo. "Are we allowed to be here then?"

"Only because Cueball bugged me about Midoriya getting equal time with his group business assignment." The teacher looked over the small crowd dressed in their blue UA sport uniforms. Of course, he was sure Kirishima was going to rip his shirt off in the first five seconds. Yanagi, Kendo, Jiro, Kaminari, Midoriya, Kirishima, Ashido, Uraraka, Kaminari, Tsunotori…

"Kaminari?"

"Yes sensei?"

"Why are there two of you?" His glowing red eyes between his bandages began to brighten a little harsher, preparing himself for a potential intruder.

Midoriya spun his head around in excitement to face the now smaller blond. "Did you figure out how to duplicate yourself already?!"

"You can do that?" Jiro whispered to him.

The boy just turned around and was shocked to see himself, standing right there smiling at him.

"Wait, where's Himiko?" Mina asked, Midoriya groaning soon after.

Everyone looked over to see the duplicate giggling to himself, spinning into a whirl of purple mud and reassembling as Himiko.

"Dang, I thought I was gonna last at least another half hour." She giggled to herself.

"I would be careful doing that." Aizawa warned. "I nearly treated you as a potential villain that snuck into here."

"Who says I'm not?" She playfully responded, Izuku wacking her arm.

"Sorry Aizawa sensei, we're grateful for the extra time you've given us to prepare for the festival." Izuku gave a bow to the teacher, many of them following besides Himiko and Yanagi. Himiko then felt Izuku push her head down to give him a bow, albeit a small one.

"Don't waste it, if any of you don't make it into at least the second round-"

"You'll expel us?" Pony asked in worry.

"...No, but I will have another discussion with your parents about what your future will look like here." He simply said, before walking ahead of the group and into the gym. A shiver ran down their backs, all of them significantly more worried about what he would bring up to their parents.

Reiko was floating various five pound weights with her erie telekinetic grip, her single visible eye twitching from the strain. Izuku was standing in front of her, jotting down some notes in his notebook.

"We're right, your limit is twenty five pounds but so long as the total objects under your control don't exceed that limit all that is left is your focus on how many things can be in your grip." Izuku muttered, his pencil moving at incredible speeds.

"I can do better in the dark." Reiko gently rested the weights around her, floating a bottle of water to herself.

"That makes sense." Izuku looked back up to her. "The al-, species my watch generated that you were spliced with actually has an outer layer of skin to block out intense UV rays. It can shed the skin to use its powers more efficiently, but at the cost of direct sunlight being extremely deadly."

"Hmm." The pale girl brushed her hair out of the way, revealing the empty space where a second eye should be. Izuku glanced down to his notebook, remembering where he first saw that sight. It was cold, raining, and too much blood.

So much.

"Izuku?"

Now back in the present, Izuku glanced back up to the girl. "Yes?"

"Is there anything else you want me to do?"

Looking back to the many notes he had on the potential abilities she might possess, he closed it and focused on the girl in front of him.

He's busy, he can't think about that.

"I think you should focus on what you already know. You already have been getting a good grip on permeation, flight, invisibility, and telekinesis. Maybe pick two or three of those that you want to work on, get faster at it, stronger at it, just practice and use that alongside whatever physical strength and speed you've already trained through your life."

Yanagi accepted that answer, and began to lift the weights again while passing them through herself. She paused, glancing with slight worry to the boy. "Is this ok?"

"What do you mean?"

"Are these what you want me to practice?"

Izuku felt it suddenly harder to breathe, a billion thoughts going through his head about what is going in the girl's head. Only a few actually stood out. One, she really wanted to do well in the festival and wanted his opinion as her business counselor. Two, her attachment to him stemmed from ptsd at the USJ. Three, and he really hoped it wasn't true, something went wrong with the gene splicing alongside ectonurite DNA. It had some of the most intense safeguards in the omnitrix, and he let it out.

"Yanagi."

"Call me Reiko."

"Um, ok. When it comes to the type of hero you end up as you should pick it. I'm just here to give some tips on how you can accomplish that."

Reiko paused her exercise, seemingly more confused now than before.

"Everything ok?" Aizawa came up from behind.

"Y-yes!/yes." Izuku and Reiko responded at the same time.

The teacher nodded, before addressing the small green bean. "If you're done here there are a few others you should check on. Kaminari and Jiro particularly are having trouble understanding their new quirks."

"Yes sir." Izuku followed Aizawa, glancing back to Reiko one last time.

"What's going on?" The man spoke in a whisper as he continued his casual walk.

"I think Reiko isn't completely...herself sensei." The boy confessed.

"I would say it's normal under the circumstances, but I have seen it personally. She's oddly fixated on you, and I don't think it's your typical highschool crush."

Glancing around the room, Izuku just so happened to catch Pony's gaze as she was doing pull ups on two floating horns. He quickly looked away, focused back on his teacher. "D-do you know a lot about that stuff?"

"Unfortunately you pick up on things after teaching for a few years whether you like it or not. I don't care what you do so long as it doesn't distract you from why you're here."

"Also." Aizawa paused to look down at Izuku with his intimidating stature. "I've discovered something not listed on your note."

Izuku already had his notebook in his hands, pencil shaking under his grip. "What was it?!"

"I can talk to cats now."

"...Huh….what do they say?"

"Nothing short of genocide and dictatorships."

Well, he wasn't a cat person anyways.

Itsuka Kendo threw another fist towards Eijiro's face, only to charge up her left with a vibrant pink orb with One for All coursing through her arm, and jab his side.

*BANG* The boy was tossed to the side, then got right back up with a wide smile. "That's what I'm talking about!"

"Stop letting her hit you!" Mina shouted at him in frustration. "Hit back! Her moves are super obvious!"

Kendo paused, slightly lowering her fists. "Is it that bad?"

"Your fists literally glow like a video game character's whenever you're going to try and hit someone."

"To be fair." Kendo turned off her quirk, pointing to the now returning Eijiro. "If I wasn't using my quirk whenever I went to punch him my hands would break."

"That is fair." Mina agreed with a finger on her chin. "But that just means you should keep your quirk active at all times! What advice did Izuku give you?"

Now that was an interesting topic. She glanced over to the boy who was currently tapping a pencil against the ground around a blindfolded Jiro, the girl able to point at where he was touching it. Kaminari was slowly approaching on his tippy toes from behind with his hands holding his own pencil. Once he got close enough Jiro grabbed the writing utensil from the obnoxious boy's hand and poked his eye.

"Gah!"

She watched as Jiro and Izuku started laughing, but her gaze focused on that green head of hair.

'Kendo, there's some things I've been keeping secret from you.' All Might folded his hands as he leaned forward in his seat.

'Like why you want me to keep an eye on Midoriya? Obviously he's connected to something but I don't even know what I'm looking for?! Is he connected to villains? There's so many weird things happening around him that I can't see why specifically you want me to watch him!' The redhead released the tension building up almost instantly.

'I can see why this has been, challenging for you.' The older man cringed slightly at the outburst. He then became drastically more serious. 'Yes, I'm going to explain why we've kept such a watchful eye on Midoriya, but more importantly the origins of One for All.'

"Yo, Kendo?" Eijiro waved his hand in front of her. "Are we fighting or-"

*BOOM* Acting on instinct Kendo gripped Eijiro in the pink aura and launched him into the air, the boy being impaled into the ceiling.

"Holy shit!"

"You ok?!"

Pony flew up on one of her horns, grabbing the crystal teen and yanking him out.

"THAT WAS AWESOME!"

Kendo sighed at the crazed battle happy Eijiro, then back to her hands.

"Wait, can you move things without making a platform?!" Izuku shouted, ecstatic at the new development.

"I, didn't know I could do that." The red headed girl confessed. Staring at her hands she felt, something else. It was her quirk, and felt like she used something similar to One for All. Yet it wasn't that, it was like her body was extended. Unfortunately before she began to question herself Izuku was already in her face about it.

"What did it feel like? Was it similar to how you normally use your quirk? Ifyoucanusedirecttelekenesisthatwouldgreatlyimproveyourabilitytomanagesuroundingvillainsand-"

As the boy became a muttering mess as he wrote furiously in his notebook, Kendo began to toss away every idea she had about who he might be. All Might warned her about All for One, and how someone was obviously influencing Izuku's life, but the boy right here was just a simple nerd who was helping around where he could.

Yeah, he wasn't evil.

Izuku closed the notebook he had just finished writing, quickly glancing around he saw everyone was busy with something. Most of them were running around the track, Eijiro trying to not let Mina pass him but the girl simply slid on a trail of acid to overtake him. Pony flew by on her horns followed by Reiko who glided through the air. Finally, in a surprising turn of events, Kaminari started sparking of arcs of electricity and increasing his own speed exponentially.

"Oh come on! Don't tell me I'm the slowest now!" Eijiro shouted in disappointment, but didn't lose his smile.

"On your left!" Kendo sped by, her veins lighting up with her quirk.

"Dang it!"

"At *huff* least *huff* you have endurance!" Ochaco shouted on the track, lagging behind the rest alongside a steady paced Jiro.

"Itsuka." Aizawa called out with his stop watch.

"Yes?"

"Is that really the best way to apply your quirk to go your fastest?"

"Yeah at least in this setting. Platforms take up too much concentration and are more for obstacles."

"Carry on then."

Seeing everyone occupied, Izuku mentally commanded the omnitrix to bring out his next blank one.

"You shouldn't do that out here."

"WAH!" Clutching his rapid beating heart, Izuku saw his sister sitting besides him, disguised as a stack of weights. "Why aren't you out there running?"

"Why aren't you?" She responded, shifting back to her normal self.

"I need to see where everyone is at right now." Izuku opened his notebook and began writing on his second pencil for the day. "Once I have a base, then I can devise a plan for each of you on how to use what you can currently do, what you can work on, what-"

"Where's your page?" Himiko asked, flipping through the notebook.

The boy tried to reach over to grab it, but Himiko simply extended her torso higher so she could continue reading without him blocking her. He sighed, giving up on overpowering her alien hybrid sister. "I don't have one yet."

"I think out of everyone here you need one the most." Himiko dropped the notebook down on his lap, shifting back to normal. "Like, how are you planning to compete in the sport's festival?"

"I don't know." Izuku weakly defended himself. "It's not like I can use any powers." He held up the watch to prove his point.

"Uuuugh. You help everyone but yourself, you know that?" Himiko jabbed at his side.

"Others need it more than me." Izuku got up, holding his notebook and omnitrix behind his back as he stored the item.

Himiko frowned, trying to figure out how exactly she was going to convince her smart yet idiotic brother why he's going to get stomped with his current attitude. Before anything, she had to get him to lighten up. "You know, I'm kinda jealous of your watch. Not because of the whole alien stuff but because you have your own Pipboy."

"Is that a game reference?"

"It's me, what else am I going to make a reference to?"

"Something racist, sexist, crude-" As Izuku began to count the many bad habits that Himiko had, Pony began to jog her way over. The girl that had shed her outer sports shirt and was wearing a tight sports bra that exposed her glistening skin. Then Himiko began to smile, the corner of her lips curling into over exaggerated swirls.

"Hey Pony!" Himiko got up, wrapping an arm around the girl. "What brings you over here?"

"Sensei asked for you." She replied, smiling back to the blonde.

"Let me guess, he wants the mud pile to run? Talk about unrealistic expectations." Himiko chuckled a little, before locking eyes on Izuku with that same smile. "Hey Izuku? Why don't you join us? That way you can be your very best for the sports festival!"

As soon as Himiko heard an excited gasp from Pony she knew not a single ounce of effort was needed from her part.

"Yeah Izuku!" Pony cheered. "Come on!"

Izuku looked like he was about to back out, but every time his eyes flickered back to Pony's face his mouth refused to say no. "O-ok."

"Yes!" Pony grabbed Izuku's hand and brought him over to the track. "Let's have a foot race!"

"Only if you don't run on all fours." Izuku began to stretch his legs, pausing when he saw a tire roll up beside him. "What kind of reference is that?"

"A rubber one." Himiko's face morphed at the top of the tire, smiling back at them.

"Can't tell if that was a sexual joke or-"

"We'll watch it when we get home for dinner."

"But, we're having dinner with the Todoroki's tonight."

"...damnit. Forgot about that."

The Midoriya family and one other stood in front of the large gate that surrounded the property. The towering walls made them feel small, engulfing them in its shadows. All of them were casually dressed, besides one detective that was pretty sure this was supposed to be a family thing.

"I-is this the right place?" Inko asked, still unsure about going to the number two hero's home.

"Yep." Naomasa said, slipping his phone into his jacket pocket. "There should be a-"

*BRZZ* Eri pressed a button in front of an intercom, letting out a shrill buzzing noise.

"Eri!" Inko pulled her away from the button. "W-we shouldn't be-"

"This is the Todoroki residence. Is this Shoto's friends?" A gentle woman's voice spoke through the buzzer.

"I wouldn't say friends." Himiko grumbled, getting a smack to her shoulder by Izuku.

"He can be a bit, distant, but we really appreciate you coming! I'll go ahead and open the gate, just follow the path to the front door."

The wooden gate clicked, sliding into the walls to allow the Midoriyas to see the traditional Japanese home. It was a single story, but damn it was the widest single story building they ever saw. Eri marched onward, unintimidated by the expensive property. Inko followed right after, as Izuku grabbed Himiko's arm and dragged the girl to the front door.

"Please be nice." Inko begged them, then gave Himiko a pointed look. "And certainly no 'gamer' talk."

"You mean I can't talk about my favorite hobby?" Himiko argued.

"No, just not what you say while enjoying your games." The mother rose her hand to knock on the door, only to hear someone already approaching.

A slender young woman with pale skin and white hair peppered with red spots opened the sliding door, smiling at the family. "Welcome! I'm Fuyumi Todoroki, we're grateful to have you here."

"I'm Inko Midoriya, and these are my children. Himiko, Izuku, and Eri." Inko said, introducing them.

"And I'm Naomasa Tsukauchi. A close family friend." The detective smiled at the woman, trying to put her at ease knowing he wasn't invited by the Todorokis.

"He's pretty much family already." Himiko added.

"He's our Dad." Eri mentioned in a matter of fact tone.

"E-ERI!" Inko placed her hand over the girl's mouth. Trying not to become overcome with a red tint, Inko calmed herself down as fast as possible.

Naomasa had to look away, his heart clenching at the statement. Eri wasn't lying.

"W-well." Fuyumi stepped out of the doorway. "Please come in, the food is just about ready."

The dinner table was mostly silent, feeling the intense atmosphere being generated by two particular teens. Himiko sat on the opposite side of Shoto, Izuku on one side of her with Inko on the other. She was trapped between the two so that if she was mean in any way they would be on her ass. Shoto was more or less picking at his food, every time he glanced up Himiko's scowl would have him look away. In no way shape or form was Himiko happy about this little outing.

"So." Naomasa got everyone's attention. "It's not well known for Endeavor to allow visitors to his home. What makes tonight so special?"

Damnit Himiko was going to cockblock him the next chance she got.

"Shoto's got social issues." Natsuo said casually, ruffling his little brother's head. "He tends to develop these wild conspiracies and do some crazy things."

"No I don't." Shoto sighed, taking another bite.

"While I wouldn't put it like that-" Fuyumi kicked Natsuo under the table. "-he wanted to make up for jumping to a conclusion that might have hurt some feelings."

"Nah, you didn't hurt anyone's feelings." Himiko smiled devily. "You just threatened Izuku is all-"

"Stop." Both Izuku and Inko said at the same time, making Himiko grumble further into her seat.

"Did you threaten him?" Fuyumi asked in a serious tone.

"If anything Himiko threatened Todoroki." Izuku threw out there.

"Is that true?" Inko asked her daughter who refused to answer. When she didn't she looked up at Naomasa who would rather not be caught up in all of this.

"I'm sorry." Shoto said from across the table. "I didn't know what was going on."

"Suuure." Himiko leaned back in her seat, not believing in the boy.

"He's telling the truth." Naomasa whispered over to her.

Himiko sat up with more energy than she ever showed her homework, staring at her not dad in utter shock. She then spun her head to Shoto, gauging her approach. "Did you know he was quirkless?"

"No."

Naomasa nodded, confirming Shoto's words. Himiko's eyes began to widen, her hands slamming on the table as she began rapid fire questioning him.

"Why were you angry with him?"

"I thought you were in trouble, and he wasn't helping you."

"Why did you think I was in trouble?"

"You didn't post your streams like you normally do."

"Wait." Natsuo turned his whole body to face his brother. "You only watch one person, when did you start following her streams?"

"I've only ever followed her." Shoto says, showing his brother his phone.

"Please don't say it like that." Fuyumi pleaded.

As Natsuo double checked his brother's phone, his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets as his jaw dropped. "NO WAY!"

"Quiet please." Fuyumi was almost resorting to begging at this point, but Natsuo refused to listen.

"YOU'RE MUDPUPPY?! THE STREAMER WHO CAN TURN INTO ANY HERO?!"

Himiko regained her composure, smiling at the older boy. "Yep!"

"Holy shit!"

"Language!" Fuyumi kicked her brother as discreetly as she could. "We have guests over."

"Oh come on!" Natsuo threw his hands towards Himiko. "I'm practically a saint compared to her!"

"It's true." Himiko smirked, getting a stern look from her mother.

"You have no idea how much we love your stuff!" Natsuo pulled out a few screenshots he already had saved on his phone. "Shoto got in trouble for spending a few hundred thousand dollars on her streams. Honestly you nail Endeavor down to the last burnt hair on his chin! Shoto, remember when we asked her to do Endeavor crying?!"

Shoto actually smirked a bit, remembering that moment. Himiko could not believe these two got off to their dad crying, it was hilarious!

"Why do you want to see your father cry?" Inko asked in a worried tone, but Natsuo was already pulling up the saved clip of the impersonation of the number two hero whining when losing a match.

"Show him show him!" Eri bounced in her seat, causing even more noise.

In a whirl of purple mud, Himiko became the intimidating man in front of the two. Folding her arms, she did her best to put on a scowl and glare down at the two. The Todorokis froze for a moment under her gaze, but then started to further examine her.

"Wow, guess fire must be pretty hard to try and do in person." Natsuo noted.

"How do you make it look so real on the camera?" Shoto asked.

"LED lights in the flames and a few filters." Himiko explained in a casual Endeavor voice.

The three icy siblings blinked, hardly ever hearing the voice of their father so...relaxed.

"Wow, that is crazy." The older sibling chuckled to himself.

"Indeed." A voice spoke from behind, all of their heads turning to it.

Another Endeavor began walking up, the flames over his face blazing as he narrowed his piercing blue eyes at the copycat. "So, you're the one who's been impersonating my image for years."

"Trust me, I could never be as ugly as you." Himiko smirked back to the man with his own face, only she flinched as the heat grew intense around him.

Oh shit she done messed up.

"Leave, before I make you." He warned.

"There's no need for threats." Naomasa got up, standing strong against the muscular man. "I'm sure we can simply talk this out."

The man narrowed his eyes at the detective. "Not in my home. I've been meaning to find this person for some time."

"And why's that?"

"Because I'm suing this 'gamer.'"

Yep, Himiko was officially screwed. Gamers are officially the most oppressed group.

As you know it's been a while since I posted. Simply put, life is getting more busy for me and while I enjoy writing this work, school, and a lot of other things take priority over fanfiction writing. This chapter felt a little off to write, and I don't know if because I took a longer break or because I've been doing lots of academic writing for the past few months. Next chapter, Sports Festival.

Let me know what you think about it and if you want to see more!

The-Gamer-6818: That's a very good question, are there two omnitrix's in this galaxy or just one? I can confirm that there's a different origin for this earth's quirks though.

BlazingVictini09: Any in particular you want to see?

Duke1933: He'll figure it out eventually, but I don't know if he'll change more people.

Remzal Von Enili: The only problem is that Izuku has been diagnosed quirkless multiple times. By single splices what do you mean?

NERO1002: Yes, Izuku could turn into a highbreed once he figures out the transformation feature. While I haven't thought if Izuku could turn someone into a Kevin I think it would basically become a new species instead of a mix of them. Safeguards in the omnitrix and all that. As for added love drama, no, just normal omnitrix drama.

Gloyhiderthemystic: You mean bold? I just bold the text.

SonicMax: If her goal was to look more human than Izuku could just make her human, but she wouldn't have a quirk or powers. Echo echo is already humanoid and she does look pretty close to standard human plus some features. She just misses her old life.

Colossus Bridger: That ship will have to withstand the Endeavor battleship first. While Shoto doesn't want to use his father's side, he wants to use his mother's ice. If he gets spliced with big chill or something that would take away his mother's side of the quirk too.

XxGargantuaxX: OG omnitrix collected and stored samples too. Primus is basically a server that the omnitrix can connect to and download DNA. Izuku will eventually meet Azmuth, but not for a while.

Harleking31: I had a lot of readers believe he was going to be mixed with feedback. Maybe that's just because feedback was pretty much the alien that represented omniverse. Izuku will participate, just with no quirk. Remember in canon he didn't even use his quirk in the first two rounds.

As for other omnitrixs, that's a good question. Let's find out together.

leoromerocalvo: Possibly, but we have yet to see any type of vilgax character in Izuku's universe.

The Black Latios: If he did that it would erase his mothers powers and replace them with big chill's. Not exactly what he would want.

AnimeFan13579: What kind of dino related aliens were you thinking? Plus there's the whole subject of having class 1-B actually know about the watch first.

While I would find it interesting to see some people like Melissa and Mei interested in the watch and have technomorph abilities, I'm pretty sure Izuku doesn't want the secret to leak anymore than it has. I still really love the concept of Upgrade Mei.

Kitsune Obsessed Freak:I do use page breaks though.

Wendycc19: Izuku is very aware of Alien X in the omnitrix, but I doubt he would ever bring that up given no way in hell would he give someone the powers of essentially a god.
