Master Control

Chapter 30

Numbly brushing his teeth, Izuku stared at himself numbly in the mirror. It felt similar to USJ, only this time it was far worse. That group of villains that attacked USJ, they did some damage yes and were really scary to fight against. Seeing Reiko bleeding from the throat, Kyoka standing next to him in the rain watching herself die, a building collapsing around them, seeing a monster breaking his unbreakable Eijiro, a villain who could turn people to dust with a touch rushing towards him.

This time, he only heard a panicked call. As soon as he got there it was already over. He never met the threat, he never saw anyone die, but he was more terrified than ever. Now what was he supposed to do, go back to school and act like everything was normal?

His family already knows something is up, he woke up to Eri snuggling his body on the floor for some reason. The last time she clung to him in his sleep was after USJ, but he wasn't on the ground. Naomasa warned it might be harder to sleep, but somehow he completely blacked out. Izuku expected nightmares, but instead there was nothing in his dreams.

After all of that sleep, he still felt kind of tired.

"Ah." He flinched in pain. Taking out his toothbrush, he tried to locate the source of the pain with his finger. He nearly cut himself pulling out the shard of metal…how did that get there?

Wait, couldn't he tell his family that Naomasa knows his secret? I mean, leave out the part about an alien that was after him but other than that….He didn't tell his family about Esta yet.

*KNOCKKNOCKKNOCK* "Stop hogging the bathroom already!" Himiko yelled outside the door.

Speaking of family.

Throwing the scrap into the trash, Izuku spit out the toothpaste and mentally commanded the omnitrix to get him into his uniform. For as powerful as the watch was, he ended up using it for really mundane tasks.

"Fine."

"Ok everyone." Eraserhead slinked out from under the desk. "You had your chance to show off for heroes. This list is how many noticed you and want you along for the internship program."

The board displayed a list of names, alongside a series of numbers.

"How come Bakugo got the top?!" Mineta cried. "He gave u-"

The fiery glare from the explosive blond shut the boy up instantly.

"I'm not really surprised by the results though." Mina pointed out. "I mean, it's pretty much the same as how high we placed in the sports festival. Give or take a couple of places."

Momo rose her hand, seeing a particular name alongside their own. "How come Izuku's name is up there?"

"He won." Eraserhead simply replied. "Part of the purpose of the sports festival was to reevaluate our student body arrangement. If the hero students are lacking compared to those in other courses, they could be swapped out."

He got the correct reaction, dead silence. "That's right, someone who wasn't in the hero course placed higher than all of you, so don't think you can slack off."

*knock knock*

"Speaking of, it looks like he's here." Stretching a single strand over, Eraserhead opened the door for the boy. Immediately he knew something was wrong, the boy held himself in a way that was not what he expected for someone who won first place.

"Do not crowd him. He's here to finish up his assignment for the business course and help his assigned partners find and pick an agency to intern with. If he has some spare time and states he wants to help anyone else, then you may pester him."

A hand rose from the class, the well known tail martial artist asking a question on many minds. "If it's ok, could we also discuss the chances of getting new quirks?"

"I highly do not recommend it at this time." Eraserhead quickly cut off others who were eager to join in. "These heroes you're going to intern with took several things into account, including how well they believe they could teach you how to use your quirk more efficiently. If you show up with something completely different than what they saw on television, it will complicate things and get unnecessary attention. Unless of course you want to give up your chance to work with real pro heroes and play catch up with new powers."

"Didn't they adapt incredibly easily to their own?" Tenya Ida shot his hand up in an uncharacteristic manner. "All of us have witnessed how swiftly Jiro, Kaminari, Yanagi, and even yourself have easily adapted to your new abilities granted by Midoriya. Even if it's giving up this moment to work with heroes, the earlier we receive these benefits the more time we will have in training to hone our potential! Midoriya, you see my point correct?"

Izuku was staring at the ground, still in the doorway of the class and not responding to anyone.

"Izuku?" Pony called out in worry.

"Hm?" He glanced over to the class. "Oh, right. How can I help?"

Eijiro stood up from his desk as he stared towards Izuku. "Bro, do you need help?"

"...I'm fine."

"You don't sound sure about that." Denki mentioned, one Denki with no others around.

"Did you find a way to recombine?" Izuku refocused on something.

"Yeah! Kyoka was really helpful with that!"

"Ahem." Eraserhead stepped forward to regain the class' attention. "Before any of you are allowed to permanently make changes to your body, you'll need to have written and in person permission by all your legal guardians directly to the nurse and Principal Nezu. More importantly, you'll have to get Midoriya's permission. Now that we're moving on from that, I'll begin passing out the applications the agencies sent in to everyone. Midoriya, you got some yourself but Cueball has them. Bug her about it later."

"Ok."

"Also, I'd like to speak to you after class."

"About what?"

"Something you might have some idea about."

With that cryptid message, Izuku was fully awake now as his mind kept running through all the different possibilities. Eraserhead was an underground hero, so who knows what he's heard….Was it about the person who was coming for the omnitrix?

Kendo looked through all of her options, sorted by rank. Despite her accidental slip with her…powers not quirk, she still managed to get thousands. She wasn't even aware that many hero agencies existed in Japan. Everything that was shared with her, the existence of life on other world's, her father's purpose, her inherited abilities from a race of pure energy….it was so much.

She wouldn't have believed it of course, until he literally put her in a bubble and flew her into the stars to show her the vastness of it all.

Everything that seemed important on Earth before, just felt like things to do out of boredom now. Her priorities have shifted, and while she was still a hero student there was so much more she could be doing. First, she had to get control of her powers, the sooner the better. Unfortunately while these heroes probably had good intentions, they didn't know how to help her as well as her father could.

Don't get her wrong, she still hasn't forgiven him, but he actually knew what her powers were.

"Are you still focused on using your quirk to enhance your body?" Izuku questioned beside her as he was helping sort through her list. "Or are you trying to use more versatile methods?"

Oh this innocent boy, he knew nothing about life beyond Earth and was still trying to help her out. He may have a cool quirk modifying watch, but she had two of the biggest secrets on Earth to keep. One for All, and alien involvement.

"Actually." Kendo put the stack she was holding down. "My dad is home, and since he has a similar quirk he offered to help me train it during internships."

"Oh!" Pony piped up nearby. "My mom came from America for the same thing!"

"She's a pro hero though." Izuku pointed out. "So she can take you on an official internship. Kendo might need to get permission from Eraserhead, or even the Principal to spend time with her dad instead."

"It could be worth it though." Ochaco added. "I mean, what's the point of all of this if we don't get better?"

"Making connections, understanding the inner workings of hero agencies, developing habits, getting a better understanding of what type of hero you want to be-" Izuku began to ramble on, all of the different offers sounding tempting to Kendo.

But glancing over to the ever so quiet Kyoka, Kendo knew she had to get better control over her quirk. Besides, it might not even matter learning all of those hero agency things if she could become an interstellar peacekeeper.

The answer was clear now, she just really wish she could share this secret with All Might soon. Her father wanted to learn more about his character before deciding to tell him the big news. Same thing around, she couldn't tell her father about One for All because she didn't know him that well yet.

Which was the bigger secret? Ugh, why doesn't anyone else have to carry her burden of keeping these huge secrets?!

"What about you Reiko?" Izuku asked the ghostly girl who hasn't said anything so far. "I haven't seen any papers on your desk."

"Aizawa sensei said he would talk to you about it after class, among other things."

"...oh, ok."

"Oh shoot I got Hawks!" Denki smiled widely as he held up the paper. "No way am I gonna pass that up!"

"You're just now noticing?" Kyoka poked at the boy's side.

"Hey! There's a lot to go through. What about you? What names are sticking out so far?"

"I was thinking maybe the Wild Wild Pussycats, try and learn how to do more search and rescue stuff."

"That's a good pick." Izuku dwelt on it. "You'll be able to go at your own pace with them given their location and have plenty of chances to practice. Plus, rescue heroes have lots of reach and make plenty of connections with other agencies since their specialties are always in demand."

"I'm sorry to interrupt." Ida came forward to the group, his eyes solely locked on Izuku. "But I need to bring something to Midoriya's attention as soon as possible. Will you allow me to speak with him privately?"

"I don't think we're exactly done yet." Kendo moved her papers to the side. "We still need to figure out Ochaco-'

"Please!" Ida nearly smacked his head on the desk by how far he bowed towards Izuku. "It's of grave importance! I promise!"

Izuku never saw Ida so distressed before. Between being on edge with everything going on, he didn't feel like he could afford to ignore something. "Ok, let's step outside the room for a second."

"Thank you!"

As Izuku followed Ida outside the classroom, Todoroki kept his eyes on the two, never letting his sights off Izuku.

"Your brother…" Izuku whispered, it was just more bad news after another wasn't it?

"Yes, his wounds are severe but his life isn't in danger." Ida kept his voice low in case someone heard. "But even with my family's connections, we cannot find someone who sees a way to restore his legs. At this rate, his hero career will be over."

He couldn't say no right away, but this was exactly what he shouldn't be doing to keep the omnitrix a secret. Though, he did need allies, and a pro hero as reliable as Ingenium would be a good addition. If they were even as half as earnest as Ida, they would be pretty trustworthy. Though he would have to ask Naomasa to do a background check like the others he put on the 'trust with alien secrets' list.

"I have to check with someone first." Izuku pulled out his phone, sending a quick text to the detective. "But I should get an answer about it soon."

"Thank you!" Ida bowed deeply once again. "I promise I haven't said anything about the watch! Only that I knew someone who might help. But please hurry, I don't know the consequences if his wounds heal over before his quirk can be altered."

"Good point." Izuku agreed. "But can you get him to be transferred to Recovery Girl somehow? I don't want more people to know about this than necessary."

"Ah, of course!" Ida saw his reasoning. "Even if the doctors did keep his identity confidential, the procedure would certainly gain attention within the medical community."

"Exactly." Or catch the unwanted attention of a planet killer.

Izuku got a text back, Naomasa replying fairly quickly over the matter.

'Talk in person. Most likely yes for help but I need to ask him questions before we share more info.'

The texts about anything concerning the omnitrix were kept vague, but still understandable to those who knew the situation.

"Things look good so far." Izuku's answer nearly had Ida overjoyed. "I'll keep you updated, but let's not share anything sensitive over text ok?"

"Of course! I will contact my parents right away!" Ida pulled out his own phone, not caring about the use of using his phone during class hours at the moment.

*slide* "Are you two done yet?" Eraserhead opened the door, his tall stature with those red glowing eyes unsettling the both of them.

"Uh, yes sir." Izuku replied shyly.

"Good. Since you're feeling chatty I want to talk about something." Eraserhead moved his head towards the room, Ida complying and going back inside with newfound hope. As soon as he was inside the hero slid the door closed, eyeing the much smaller boy.

"So, what did you need?" Izuku tried to not whittle under the man's frightful gaze.

"Two things actually." He pulled out a file from between the cloth wrappings of his skin. "First, I'm having Yanagi join me for her internship."

"Yeah, she would be an awesome underground hero."

"Mostly because she's exhibited such violent tendencies that she got no offers, and none of the other teachers are brave enough to handle her."

"Oh."

"Oh doesn't cover half of it." Eraserhead flipped open the file, showing a therapeutic analysis from Hounddog. "While normally this would be confidential, she easily agreed for us to share this with you. Hound Dog is having a hard time getting her to realize being hyper focused on what you believe is best isn't helpful to her decision making skills. So, to try and overcome this we want you to continue probing her what she wants to do, what her goals are, and if she tries getting that answer from you just redirect the question back to her. Cueball is also aware and is willing to cut Yanagi from your business course assignment so that she can make her own decisions. Even you offering a choice to her might set her back, so no giving answers of any kind to her, even recommendations."

"That makes sense." Izuku rubbed the back of his head, wanting to share the reason why she might be acting like this to him but he couldn't. At least, maybe not for long. Eraserhead is an underground pro hero, someone who is already aware of the omnitrix, and is already half alien. If there was one person Izuku could pick from his list to share this with, it would be him. "It'll be hard but, if it's for her own good I won't give her answers or options."

"Hound Dog can go into further detail with you about it." The man shared. "Also, a side note, he and Nezu have talked about the idea of trying to splice some other pro heroes."

"Really?!" Izuku's head snapped up towards the man.

"The Principal trusts him greatly, and he pretty much works at night most of the time anyway so any changes could be passed off as a new look or in the extreme case a quirk evolution. Midnight also expressed being open to a new look for lesser reasons."

"What's that?"

"She wants to spice up her fan base with a new look, since apparently her perverted fan club isn't enough already. Also she's looking to have a more effective quirk to neutralize villains, something that could help in case villains attack the school again."

That's right, Midnight's quirk was already powerful in its own right. But it didn't work as well against females, and it was hard for her to control where it went. Maybe if she was spliced with something more precise, or even had more than one use it could be super effective.

"Besides the side note." Eraserhead droned on. "There's a case I've been assigned recently that I would like your thoughts on."

The second file he showed Izuku made the boy's blood freeze. There, right in the photo was a necrofriggian clear as day. The more photos Izuku flipped through, the more panicked he became. It was acting in the open without care, dismissing top rated heroes left and right, and worst of all….it had the omnitrix symbol on its chest.

"So, you see why I wanted your insight?" The hero asked, Izuku dumbly nodding in response. "I have some theories of my own, perhaps whoever created that watch of yours made another to turn people fully into those 'quirk renderings' you've spliced us with."

Another omnitrix? No, Paradox took the omnitrix from the other universe and placed it here….unless there was one already being made in this universe. That would explain the rumors Esta was looking into, why despite his best efforts to keep it secret the alien rumors were already talking about it. Whoever had this other omnitrix, was putting the entire planet at great risk and using for….eating statues?

"Yes, their diet seems to consist of a great deal of iron." Eraserhead tapped the photo of the headless statue. "Do you have one of these in your watch?"

"...yes."

"Ok, so we know it's from the same source."

If he was already working this case, then there was hardly a point in keeping it secret anymore. "Aizawa sensei, there's a lot I need to explain with you, but I need to call someone else to come over here."

The man's wrapping quirked up over his ominous eye. "This sounds urgent. How concerned should I be about this?"

"I can't think of anything more important."

That definitely put this case high up on the man's list of things to do.

"Also." Izuku continued. "If we're going to have this talk, I need to discuss this with a few others who I think need to hear this."

"I can't give away sensitive information concerning this case, but who did you have in mind and why?"

"Trust me, I will explain everything to you guys and you can decide after but…there's something much bigger happening. So much bigger."

Sitting in the circle, Denki felt a really intense air around as he sat in the empty classroom after school. Well, not exactly empty. There was his teacher, big guy who looked like a mummy, and then a girl who was proof that exorcists were a necessary profession, a random detective, resident tough guy, a girl he may or may not have a crush on, and the guy who is always involved in everything.

"So uh, anyone else coming?" The blond asked the group.

"Not for this meeting." The detective stood up, looking around the group. "Each of you has been picked out to be able to not only be potentially trusted with a secret, but also to aid in an active investigation."

"Will their internships also be included?" Eraserhead quickly questioned.

"No, this is separate." Naomasa grabbed a briefcase from next to the chair he was sitting in. "Now, before we get started, I need to ask everyone here one question and you must answer yes or no. Will you keep everything you hear secret, and tell no one outside this group?"

Eijiro's eyes widened, instantly turning to Izuku right beside him. "Dude, is this about-"

A quick nod was all he got, the crystal teen looking around towards everyone present. "Huh, I guess it's not too surprising but I thought you would have also included at least Himiko."

"Not too sure about her yet." Izuku replied.

"Ok, well my answer is yes!"

"Not too sure what's going on." Denki admitted. "But same."

"You need to say yes." Kyoka reminded him.

"Oh, right. Yes."

"Yes." Eraserhead voiced.

"Yes." Reiko joined the group.

"Yes." Kyoka hesitated in answering but still agreed.

Once the detective gave a thumbs up to Izuku, he was relieved immediately, mostly because he thought it would be really awkward if any of them said no. These were the ones that were approved immediately. Eraserhead was obvious, Eijiro already knew the most right after Naomasa, Kyoka had already trained herself to become a reconnaissance hero with her ability to identify even the smallest sounds, Reiko because Izuku had a hunch the girl was spying on him, and Denki…well it was part of the reason why everyone here was a first option. They had already been combined with alien DNA, and Izuku felt like they were highly entitled to this information because of that. Plus, if their spliced genes were recognized by an alien threat, they might be targeted. Better to prepare them now than too late. Himiko was being held off because she never expressed interest in being a hero, and Izuku didn't want to drag an unwilling participant into this. Though she might have to learn soon through, just when there's some more time.

"Good." Naomasa nodded to the group. "In short, we believe there is an alien threat that is currently seeking the omnitrix, a device that can turn the user into over a million different species."

"...Seriously?" Denki almost blanked out over the subject, given how absurd it sounded.

"Don't waste our time." Eraserhead warned. "Get to the real topic."

Denki was glad he wasn't the only one who thought this was nonsense.

"It's true!" Eijiro got up from his chair. "Aliens are….hold up, there's an alien threat now? Since when?!"

"Stop." Kyoka held her head. "I didn't want to join a conspiracy club."

"Izuku." Reiko was solely focused on him. "Is this true?"

The only response she got was Izuku standing up, and holding out the omnitrix to the center of the group. "It's better if I just show you guys, but be ready, teleporting can throw off your balance."

"That can teleport you?" Eraserhead questioned. "Could you have used that to escape USJ?"

"He didn't though!" Eijiro immediately defended his friend. "He stuck by our side! And without him some of us would be dead!"

"Half of us." Reiko reminded them.

"Just, see for yourself." Izuku pleaded. "Then you can decide if you wanna believe me or not."

With no one voicing any disagreement, Izuku mentally prepared himself for seeing it all over again. "Omnitrix, take us to saved space Kraaho homeworld."

"Confirmed."

*SKREEE*

Ida waited alongside his family in Recovery Girl's office, the hospital tried their best to sway them on this, and it even took his parents much convincing, but this was the only option with hope of restoring his brother's ability to walk. Speaking of his brother, the injured hero was in a medically induced coma, laying on Recovery Girl's bed as she rechecked all of the equipment.

"Tenya." His mother came over to him. "You said you knew someone who could help, but where are they?"

"He'll come." He tried to assure her, but he wasn't replying to his texts.

"I don't have the facilities to keep him here all night." Recovery Girl warned.

*click* "I'm here." Izuku entered, Naomasa and Eraserhead right behind him.

Ida was ready to leap towards the boy and criticize his tardiness, but the boy looked so tired right now. Glancing towards the adults, he saw they had a similar visage. No, don't tell him…they won't do it.

"Why?!" Ida shouted. "You've done it for others! Is his life not as valuable as theirs!"

"Ida." Eraserhead stepped in front of Izuku.

"No! It isn't fair! He was a great hero but was stripped of his future by-HMPH!: Ida was restrained by Eraserhead in tight bindings, being lifted off his feet and forcefully placed into a seat.

"Ida, since Midoriya is here by your request you should treat him with respect."

"You're the one then?" Ida's mother came up to the boy, her hands hovering over him in a shaky manner. "You can heal Tensei?"

"Wait." The man's father came forward. "This boy won the festival, but I thought he was quirkless."

"Circumstances are unique." Naomasa came up to the two. "Now, before we begin I need you both to agree to never share what we're about to do."

"Will it help him though?" The mother seemed to hardly care about the consequences, her desperation driving her choices.

"Recovery Girl." Naomasa addressed the woman. "Have any of his wounds healed over?"

"Everything life threatening has been taken care of." The woman began to explain. "While the spine has been stabilized, it's far from healed. If we do a similar procedure as the others, we have a good chance of success."

The mother burst into tears, falling to Tensei's side with her arms just barely touching the engines in his arms. Now that Ida himself had calmed down, Eraserhead released his grasp on the boy to join in his family's display of joy.

"Before we begin." The detective came forward. "You need to understand that this method is top secret, and cannot leave this room no matter what. Do you agree?"

"Yes! Anything!" Mrs. Ida cried out.

"As long as it works, I'm in agreement." The father wary but still desperate enough.

"Of course." Tenya agreed. "I am very well aware."

Eraserhead almost laughed at how little Tenya actually knew. He would have, if he hadn't just seen the remains of a planet alongside listening to an alien's last words.

"Ok then. Izuku, I'll leave it to you and Recovery Girl." The detective gently tugged the family away from their son.

Izuku stepped forward, holding the omnitrix above the man's lifeless body. The only sign of him still living were the machines beeping and pumping air into his lungs. "Ready for part one?"

"Ready." Recovery Girl replied.

"Omnitrix, stabilize his DNA."

*SKREEE*

Everyone but Izuku shielded their eyes from the intense light. It was over in an instant, the parents immediately expecting to see their son open their eyes. Unfortunately, what they saw was his beloved engines missing.

"What happened?" The mother instantly demanded.

"I had to take away his quirk first." Izuku gently explained. "Don't worry, he'll get a new one soon."

"Allow me to explain." Eraserhead came forward to explain the 'official' story. "Midoriya is in possession of a PQE that can generate species from quirks. When villains attacked USJ, I was gravely injured and needed instant medical attention or else I would die. In order for Midoriya to heal me, his PQE has to get rid of my quirk in order to completely modify my DNA to repair my body. Also in doing so, he permanently changed me to posses new abilities that, while unlike my original quirk, still allow me to be a hero."

"What ones do you plan to use?" Ida instantly approached the boy.

"I don't have speedsters that have regeneration good enough to fix this kind of damage." Izuku gently explained as he scrolled through a few options. "But, I may be able to temporarily give him something that can fix him, and then change him to a speed based power set."

"Can you do that?" Eraserhead immediately questioned with some surprise. "Not that I want to change my current abilities, but it would be good to have in mind for future decisions."

"Let me see." Izuku held the omnitrix back over the man. "Omnitrix, can you save his current DNA exactly as it is?"

"Affirmative, scanning current human DNA and saving under subsets."

"Will altering his DNA too many times pose any dangers?"

"Omnitrix splicing programs are capable of multiple DNA rewriting sequences without damage to the subject."

"Let's do it one at a time ok?" Recovery Girl wheeled over one of her testing kits. "We want to make sure we're prepared in case the computer's wrong."

As much faith that Izuku had in the omnitrix, there was no harm in being prepared. "Ok, I have a species ready to splice him with for the healing process. But, it may look….weird."

"What do you mean?" Ida glanced over to the hologram over Izuku's watch. It was a literal blob of slime. "This will, heal him?"

"This one has arguably the best regeneration." Izuku stated with confidence. "This one can heal its body from even a small number of cells. I don't expect him to want to keep this one, but it should easily repair his body."

"As long as it works." The father reiterated.

Recovery Girl gave him the thumbs up, Izuku mentally splicing the hero with the Protost DNA. Tensei's change was incredibly noticeable. His flesh became transparent, and his bones non existent. The hair on top of his head vanished, two tendrils emerging from his head. Two eyes became three, black outlines around them stretching around his head like snakes.

Just when Recovery Girl was about to probe him with a needle, the yellow eyes opened. Tensei slipped through the medical equipment inside of him, the tubes and needles falling through the body and onto the bed.

"What." His voice was altered, as if he was speaking through water. "Where, oh, right."

"T-Tensei?" His mother cautiously reached out, the man about to receive his mother's imminent embrace until he saw himself. Logically, he knew he was injured by the hero killer, but he never expected to look like this.

"This is, weird." He noted, wiggling his fingers in front of his face.

Recovery Girl looked him up and down, removing his bed sheet and checking to see if there was even any sign of injury. Only a few pins were still floating around in his body, but other than that he was moving without any issue. "Ok, let's do a basic check up, because I honestly don't know how else we're supposed to know he's healthy."

Motor control, mental tests, Recovery Girl rushed him through it all without giving him an explanation.

"Ok, so I just got to ask. Is this permanent?" The healed hero flexed his own body, his arms stretching to the ceiling and back down.

"It can be if you want." Izuku offered. "But we can change you back to yourself, just quirkless, and then give you a new set of powers like your old one."

"I would recommend something as close as possible to his original." Naomasa cut in. "We don't want anyone to know about this, so if he can fit back into his costume and be as fast as before-"

"Yeah." Tensei nodded along in his slime-like form. "It would be a PR nightmare." He chuckled over it, trying to process everything with a little humor. "I get it though, and if I still look as odd as I am, I guess that means I can't take off my helmet in public anymore."

"Not that you do anyways." His father smiled at the young man.

"There's two options I found." Izuku presented the first hologram. "Well, these are the main speedsters. This one is incredibly fast, so fast that you could probably run across the world in under a minute. Though it isn't fully humanoid, and you might not have as many fingers afterwards."

"What's the other one? Tensei asked kindly.

Rotating the dial, Izuku presented the Citrakayah. "This one compared to the other has enhanced durability, strength, and while not as fast is as humanoid as they get."

"I can get over looking like a cat." The man shrugged. "So this is the only real option then. How fast do you think I'll be able to get?"

"It's hard to say." Izuku dejectedly stared into the green static of the hologram. "Everyone that I've spliced so far seems to be getting different levels of strength from the originals. Age could also be a factor, and this is also the first one that's had such a simple power set so you could be getting more. At the very least, you should be able to reach mach five."

"...seriously?"

"I'm sorry I couldn't-"

"-No." Tensei placed his slimy hands on Izuku's arm. "Don't say it like you're not doing enough. Even by your lowest prediction, that would make me the fastest speed based hero ever. Hell, it might even make me faster than All Might himself! I should be thanking you just for letting me walk again, so you're doing more than anyone could ask for."

Izuku tried to not think about his failures recently, and just focused on the moment itself. "Ok, I'll turn you fully human first, then splice you with this one. Ready?"

"Yep." Tensei nodded, stiffening as he awaited the sensation of pain he expected from having his cells rewritten. Nope, just a flash and it was done. The real pain came when Recovery Girl stuck a needle in his arm right after. "Ah!"

"We're taking this one step at a time remember?" The older woman drew some blood from the completely normal looking human.

Even if it wasn't over, the Ida family was overjoyed to have Tensei back to looking like himself. Even if at the moment he was quirkless, he looked like himself, he looked alive.

"We should probably take a picture, or a video really quick." Their father alerted them. "Just to show the world that you're ok, and that you're about to step back into the hero scene."

"That's a good idea." Eraserhead noted. "Just in case anyone gets the idea that someone else is filling in your shoes."

"It'll also send a message to the hero killer." Naomasa commented. "That he failed."

"Oh that's not the only thing he should think about." Tensei smirked. "Because you bet I'm not going to make the same mistake twice, and if this really works out, then he'll never see me coming."

Plopping onto the couch late at night, Izuku still had enough energy to turn on the television. Ingenium was about to reenter the scene, and if his jittery attitude was anything to go by, then he was about to make some headlines. It felt nice, helping people like this. He only wished he could do it more openly.

Naomasa joined him, after all he gave the boy a ride home and wanted to see the man in action.

"You two have been closer recently." Inko noted as she came into the living room with Eri right behind her.

"Yeah." Naomasa chuckled at that. "I guess we have. After all, there's not a lot of people in the alien club."

Inko froze, and Eri beamed. "Not dad knows?!"

"Yeah." The exhausted Izuku yawned. "I told him everything."

"You guys gotta stop calling me that." Naomasa smiled as Eri came rushing over to join them, plopping herself over their legs.

"Woah woah!" Himiko, in a rare occurrence left her room. "You told him?"

"You believe it?" Inko asked him.

"My quirk helped the process." The man tapped his head. "Between what he showed me, being a detective, and being the best living lie detector, it became pretty obvious Izuku wasn't lying."

The mother didn't say anything, thinking over his…easily accepting response to all of this. She couldn't think of any reason to not doubt Izuku, but it was just a hard thing to just suddenly accept. "Izuku? I know I haven't been, receptive to your 'alien' friend but, I want to believe. And if she truly is an alien then maybe-"

Naomasa held his hand up, cutting her off before she could go further. "That's, not an option anymore."

"What do you mean?" Himiko poked the very still, very quiet Izuku's cheek. "Did she not wanna hang out with us earthlings anymore?"

"Hey." The detective stood up, placing a hand on Izuku's shoulder. "We can tell them what we talked about."

"What did you talk about?" Eri asked between the two men. "Why can't we speak to Esta?"

"...She's dead…Her whole world it….it got hit by something. There's no one left there." Izuku uttered out in barely a whisper.

Before anyone could say anything to him Izuku got up, moving towards the bedroom. "I'm gonna go to bed."

Inko moved forward, her son in greater depression than she ever saw him, but she was halted by the detective. "Is it true?" She asked him, trying to believe but finding it so hard. All she could trust was her faith in him, and he believed it.

"Yeah." He silently replied. "That's what happened during the party. Later Izuku showed me….he took me to the remains of the planet."

"Ingenium has made a rapid recovery!" The tv announced as they stepped away from Izuku's bedroom. "And he is more active than ever! Our best hero cameras can barely capture him as he's shown up to seven different hero fights across Japan and put a stop to all of them! And-WOAH!"

The hero appeared next to the camera woman, giving a short salute to them both. "Hello citizens! Just running some laps around the streets!"

*Crunch*

The camera moved up, a blue mothman eating a satellite dish on top of the new station van. "Hey! Those are expensive!" The host cried.

The villain hissed at them in return, resuming their meal after the warning.

"Stop!" Ingenium ordered. "That's destruction of private property, and if you don't turn yourself in-"

Annoyed by his threats, the villain breathed out a layer of ice onto the road. As soon as Ingenium moved to act, he slipped and slammed into the side of the van.

"Chump." The blue mothman coiling his wings around him like a cloak before turning invisible and vanishing into the night.

Everyone knows Fasttrack, but how many remember Gluto from Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix? I want to feature lesser seen aliens, or even ones that were in the show but Ben never turned into. That's part of the reason why I had the Kraaho, Ben met several of them but never turned into one.

Izuku finally has a gang to solve alien mysteries! I didn't plan on it happening so soon, but it felt natural given the circumstances.

No, Kendo's dad is not part Alien X.

As for Clockwork situation, from what I understand is that Clockwork undid a single event that was specifically a bomb created by his same species. So, it's easier for him to undo something that was done with time powers than to undo something not time related. Of course this could be argued with, but because there's no firm answer on how Clockwork's powers work I'm going to keep it like this, otherwise the alien would be too broken.

I don't want Izuku to solve everything by just going clockwork, undoing the damage, and then punching the bad guy. That would be super boring.

XxGargantuaxX: It would solve the whole One for All breaking unprepared bodies thing.

Legionnas: I think part of Azmuth not making a failsafe for that is either he didn't think of it just like Ghost Freak situation, or he thought it would be part of the full Big Chill experience.

leoromerocalvo: True, not many can step up to Big Chill.
