Master Control
Chapter 32
Naomasa couldn't blame Izuku, or really hold him accountable. The person to blame was whoever designed this stupid thing that kept causing all this trouble. Groaning as he fought his headache with another cup of coffee, he laid down the notes he had been taking during this one on one interview. It was late, and everyone besides the Midoriya family was sent home. Well, at least that was the plan until he found out Pony was present to see the development in person, Izuku confessing he told her in the mess of things about aliens. She was taking it surprisingly well, but then again, she hadn't heard the worst of it yet.
Speaking of worse things, Reiko apparently used near lethal force against a real villain. Given how it was the 'leader' of the League of Villains, she could have simply treated him as a threat, but given her recent history it was probably otherwise. After that the ghost girl ventured off to find Izuku, not stopping until they called her to let her know they found him.
So here he was, having to do a private interview with the three of them to get as much as the story as possible. He had to ask Inko to keep Himiko and Eri outside Izuku's bedroom as he began to debrief them, firmly stating that they were not allowed to push for ANY information about what happened.
"Alright." He refocused himself on his work, sitting at the desk in the bedroom as Izuku, Pony, and Reiko sat across from him on the All Might themed bed. It was important to get both their testimonies, given how Izuku couldn't remember being transformed and anything before Pony's arrival was pretty much televised. "So, you were under the influence of the alien because it was in a 'birthing cycle?'"
"Yes." Izuku brushed his hand over the omnitrix. "That's why I was eating so much metal, to build a nest in the old steel mill where I could have my…kids."
"They're adorable." Pony cooed over the memory.
"Where did they go?" Reiko asked out of curiosity.
"Most of them went to space." Izuku nervously fidgeted with the dial. "Ten of them, to feed off solar plasma and thrive in the cold climate of space."
"And the other five?" Naomasa pulled out his pen, making sure he got all this information down to relay to Eraserhead.
"...They decided to stay."
The detective glanced up, seeing the way Izuku was holding his watch protectively. "They're in the omnitrix aren't they?"
"I didn't want to make everyone panic showing up with a bunch of alien children on me." Izuku confessed. "Also, I wasn't sure how they would react given how, they look like the 'Frozen Mothman.'"
Reiko huffed. "I think that's a stupid villain name. They should have called you the 'Arctic Ghost'."
"OH!" Pony smiled towards the idea. "That's really good!"
"Izuku." Naomasa leaned forward, getting as serious as he could without being harsh. "I understand you had no idea about this, and never engaged in any sexual conduct…Did you?"
"No!" Izuku recoiled in a fit of bright red. "I haven't even kissed anyone! The Necroriggians are all asexual! Also, it will be another eighty years before another birthing cycle so this won't happen again."
"Unless you get to be really old." Reiko pointed out.
"Anyways." The man spoke up to get their attention again. "Izuku, you already have tons of responsibility between classes, everything surrounding the omnitrix, and now we know for a fact you're being targeted by villains and aliens-"
"What?!" Pony spun her head towards Izuku. "What aliens are targeting you?!"
"We'll talk about that with you later." He held his hand up, trying to get to his point. "And now you plan on taking care of how many alien children?"
"Five." Izuku answered, Naomasa reminding him of just how stressful his life was becoming.
"I can help." Reiko stated immediately, Izuku wincing about the idea of the most violent person in his class watching over kids. Wow, he knew someone more violent than Bakugo.
"You won't always be around." Naomasa told the girl. "Plus, I've heard from Eraserhead that your parents are reporting you avoiding home, only coming late at night and leaving early in the morning."
"I have more important things." Reiko shared simply, like it answered everything.
"Before you volunteer your time-" Naomasa sighed heavily, running his hand over his scratchy chin. "-Eraserhead and Hounddog needs to talk with you and your parents. Now Izuku, you have already proven to be able to juggle a lot in your life, but you're starting to burn yourself out. You need to cut down your workload, especially if you're going to be raising kids on top of all of this."
"They should be pretty independent already." Izuku weakly argued. "I mean, if the others are just flying around in space then-"
"Do not, underestimate how much effort you'll be putting into kids." The man wasn't having it, speaking from experience trying to cover up for Izuku alone was its own job.
"I'll help look after them." Reiko stated again.
"We went over this." Naomasa locked his eyes with her single one, the girl unmoving from her stance.
"You can't force me to go home."
"No…but are you saying that you'll drop out of school to watch after them while he's out?"
"Yes."
Pony gasped, this girl was practically throwing herself into the family! Being a parent alongside Izuku, the clinginess….So there was another girl!
"Excuse me." Izuku rose his hand. "Wouldn't this be a good time to tell my family?"
"...Inko's going to faint." Naomasa warned the boy.
"But she's already home most of the time, and Eri gets done with her school work in two hours every day."
"You can't expect others to just take over the role of being a parent." He tried to argue back, but Izuku wasn't having it. The boy stood up, showing off the omnitrix.
"Then I can keep them in here! They can't get hurt, get hungry, and can have millions of worlds to play in and learn! Where do you think I took Eri all the time when she was still scared of everything?"
Naomasa rose his voice just enough to talk over Izuku. "You want to keep your kids in the same device that villains are after?"
"Then I can protect them! If I can fight Endeavor on instinct with one of my aliens, then I can-"
"-Izuku."
"I REFUSE TO ABANDON THEM!" Izuku shouted with refound anger. "I WILL NOT BE LIKE MY FATHER!"
Naomasa was taken aback, never before had he heard either Inko or Izuku bring up his father. It was clear it was a touchy subject, but now he knew that it still hurt the boy.
Pony reached out, grabbing Izuku's hand carefully and making him face her. The boy calmed down, sitting down next to her and taking a few steadying huffs of air.
"Just, give me a chance to do this right." Izuku pleaded. "Don't make me give them up after they decided to stay."
If there was any doubt that Izuku really was a parent, it was thrown out the window. He hadn't even seen the kids, but Naomasa saw the signs of a father…or technically a mother in this case. "Ok."
"Huh?" Izuku glanced back up, hoping he heard that right.
"Let's see how it goes." Naomasa gave in, grabbing his notepad and putting it in his jacket pocket. "But you have to lighten your workload somehow, give yourself some breathing room in order to think about things. Also, you need to figure out your transformations, fast to make sure something like this doesn't happen again."
"Y-yes!"
"Also." Naomasa pulled out his phone, already texting a few others. "It's already really late. Cueball is arranged to pick you up on her way to school in the mornings so go to bed as soon as possible. There will always be a hero on patrol in the area to keep an eye on things. I already have permission from Cow Lady to let her daughter stay the night-"
Pony's ears perked up at that, not even considering the option but praising the man internally for arranging this.
"-But Yanagi." The man turned to the ghostly girl. "Your parents want you home as soon as possible."
"You can't make me go back."
"No, I suppose I can't." He was going to have a long talk about Eraserhead about this. When he was about to text the man, he realized he already received a message a while ago.
Eraserhead: Body wasn't there. Sweep turned up nothing.
Shit, he was hoping he was dead. He couldn't even be satisfied with that quirk being deleted knowing All for One could just give him a new one. Great, what was he even supposed to tell the One for All group? He could only distract Nezu for so long before he decided to overhaul the whole investigation. "Ok then. Well Izuku, I would love to stay but I need to take care of some things."
"Sorry to take up so much of your time."
"Izuku, trust me, there's nothing more important to me than making sure your family is ok." He gave a short pat to Izuku's shoulder, the boy immediately hissing in pain as he clutched his arm.
"Izuku?!" Pony came over, Izuku slowly taking off his jacket to investigate. When he pulled his shirt away, he saw a large gash on his shoulder.
"When did I get this?" He poked the wound, immediately regretting it.
"Oh!" Pony recognized the injury. "That was during your battle with Hawks."
"You mean when I was a Necrofriggian?" He reinvestigated the wound, and now that he was paying attention to his body he noticed a lot of sore spots and bruises. Great, injuries transferred between transformations.
"It doesn't look too bad." Naomasa studied it. "But get it cleaned and patched up before explaining things to your family ok?"
"Ok." Izuku agreed.
"Here, I'll help." Pony grabbing his hand and led him out the bedroom, Reiko following them close behind.
"You're finally finished." Inko sighed as she turned off the television, Himiko and Eri were waiting alongside her as all of them had waited. "Now just what exactly-IZUKU YOU'RE HURT!"
Pony tapped on the last bandage, Izuku letting out a small grunt in return. He sat wearing only a pair of small shorts as his mother and Pony both addressed his wounds, which was not too bad besides his shoulder.
"I don't think you should go to school tomorrow." Inko voiced her concern. "You need time to heal."
"I can still move fine." He argued. "I'll just lay off working out with Eijiro for a few days."
"More like a few weeks." Himiko jabbed his bruise rib, Izuku jumping from the touch.
"At least two." Eri offered. "Then you can do light workouts until you're fully healed."
"Ok." Izuku sighed, he needed to comply with their wishes if he was going to have them more open minded to the news he was going to share. They told the bare basics of the story, not going into gritty detail and only mentioning what was needed. So far, they got to the part where Pony found him at the steel mill working on his nest.
"I think you should lock that function." Inko muttered aloud. "I don't want you turning into aliens ever again."
Wait, no! This was not the direction he wanted this conversation to go!
"Same." Himiko agreed. "There's already enough of us aliens around."
"Technically half breeds." Eri pointed out. "Izuku is the only one that can fully turn into an alien."
"Could you turn us into full on aliens?" Himiko asked Izuku. "Because that means I could get a whole lot bigger right?"
"Oh please no." Inko already had a hard enough time with Himiko's antics, and if she could do that five times her current size then it was certain doom.
"Izuku." Pony reminded the boy of what they were originally going to do.
"Yeah." He nodded, resuming the story. "So I ended up making that nest and-"
*GASP* Eri jumped towards Izuku. "YOU'RE PREGNANT?!"
"WHAT?!" Inko couldn't hold it in, becoming light headed and needing to sit back down. "I-Izuku, please tell me you didn't have…relations with an alien."
"No!"
Phew.
"But I was pregnant."
His mother froze up, and during her shock Izuku ripped off the bandaid.
"That alien I turn into reproduces asexually, and I just happened to unlock the transformation feature in time for the birthing cycle. So, in the nest I laid eggs and…I had fifteen kids."
"Show me!" Eri demanded, jumping up and down while tugging on his arm. "Showmeshowmeshowme!"
"Where are they?" Himiko questioned, more invested in this than most of her games. Which she thought was impossible.
"Ten of them went into space, where they would naturally go to live." Izuku began to explain, holding up the omnitrix in front of himself.
"A-And the other f-five?" Inko hesitantly asked.
"They…decided to stay with me." Izuku mentally commanded the omnitrix to release his kids, and in a brief flash they all witnessed five smaller versions of Izuku's transformation fluttering in the air. "I'm going to raise them."
*SQUEEEEL* Eri got their attention, two of them flying towards her and tickling them with their antennas as they smelled her. She embraced them, laughing as they continued to probe her with their appendages.
"Fuck." Himiko uttered out in shock, not even being smacked by Inko who was too petrified to respond.
Pony held one of them, the 'runt' that she started to get attached to. Reiko stared at them with mild curiosity, simply letting one crawl around her face as it smelled the stranger.
The last one landed on Izuku's lap, curling up to him and nuzzling his stomach. Inko was right next to him, staring at it like it could bite her at any second.
"I'm…going to do my best for them." Izuku confessed. "And I know I have school and everything but, they're apart of my life too now. I couldn't just push them away when they chose to stay."
The one in his lap began to sniff the air with the fuzzy tips that went over its head, slowly moving towards a familiar scent akin to their parent. The others picked up on this, all moving towards the mother who shared the same DNA as her son.
She dared not move as they all crawled over her body. "I-Izuku…I-I don't know w-what to s-say."
"I won't be like him." He stated with conviction. "I want to be a good father."
"More like a mom." Himiko uttered out, wanting to tease them but still processing the news.
The woman stared down at the two on her lap, letting them grab her hands and brush their antennas around her fingers. One looks up at her, those emerald orbs filled with so much innocence. Even if they were so different, they reminded her so much of Izuku's. She remembered how hard it was, raising him alone, trying to juggle work, college, and her child all at the same time. He got into so much trouble, even if he didn't try to. Never once though, did she stop loving him. No matter what, she committed the day he was born to raise him.
How could she tell her son to do something she would never do herself?
"Ok." She calmly said, brushing her fingers over those little squishy cheeks that were chilly to the touch. A smile graced her face, the instincts of a mother giving in to these children.
"YES!" Eri cheered, grabbing one of the kids and rubbing her face in its tummy.
"E-Eri!" Izuku got up, hovering over the two. "P-please be gentle with them."
"So." Himiko poked one of the baby's heads, getting her finger frozen in response from an icy breathe. "How you gonna take care of them? Didn't you say they needed to be in cold space?"
"Ah." Izuku recalled the information he read in the omnitrix. "They also need to have a steady supply of solar plasma."
"I don't think they sell that at the supermarket." Reiko actually considered the idea, trying to figure out where they could buy some.
Izuku rolled over his arm, staring at the omnitrix as he began to wonder. He had all sorts of aliens, who could do all sorts of things. He may not be able to use them in public but…"Mom, I know you don't like the idea, but I know how to care for them."
"I can't hate you for wanting to provide for your kids." Inko replied warmly, now just realizing what they were to her. "M-my, grandchildren. I'm a grandmother."
Existential crisis aside, Izuku got up, standing in the middle of the living room as he scrolled through the options. He would need someone to think of a way to build a cold space in the house, because he was not gonna stuff his kids in the freezer. Next, someone to be able to build the thing. He would probably have to turn into his 'Big Chill' form as the code name labeled it. Finally, one that could feed his children, which should happen sooner than later.
"Alright." Izuku pressed the two buttons along the side, the dial popping up and projecting one of his aliens. "No one freak out, but I've got an idea."
"Freak out anymore than finding out you have alien babies?" Himiko snickered, using her fingers to stretch out and play with one of the flying kids.
Everyone present seemed open minded at the moment, so without a moment to lose Izuku slammed down on the dial. His body began to grow, his skin becoming white and metallic with black pieces filling in the joints. His arms became massive, the forearms turning into transparent containers of volatile lime green energy. His head became more narrow, the very top of it revealing the same energy coursing through his body. Finally, on his chest was a layer of similar transparent material, peering into his chest that glowed brightly with whatever was fueling his body. The omnitrix rested right under were his belly button would be, only the dial itself present without the emerald housing.
Izuku stood tall in his new form, overlooking his arms as he felt the instinctive knowledge flow through his mind. So this is what it felt like for the others, adapting quickly to their new bodies which would normally take years.
"Woah." Himiko looked over his new form. "I didn't even know aliens could look like robots."
"He must be biomechanical in nature." Eri mused aloud, Inko doing her best not to freak out all over again.
"So, you're in control right?" Inko hesitantly asked.
"I am." Izuku nodded, his voice very different than how it was before. The five children all focused their attention on him, their stomachs growling audibly. "It's alright, I'm just going to feed them."
He held out his hands with his palms up, the ends of his digits beginning to glow brightly with small flares running over his fingers. The result was instant, all of the baby Necrofriggians flying to partake of the plasma dancing around his hands. Each on found a finger, suckling on his digits as he continued to release a steady stream of energy.
It tickled him, the boy giving a small chuckle as he got used to the sensation. Yeah, he was going to make this work. "Mother, after this I will begin modifying my room to accommodate my children. I know you want me to rest but so do these little guys, gals, I guess neither really."
"Why are you talking like that?" Himiko suppressed a yawn as she was too invested in this development.
"Like what Himiko?"
"Like a knock off All Might turned into a cheap lava lamp."
Did he really come across as that? Actually, this was one of his strongest in terms of body to strength ratios. Looking around the room, it was clear he was taller but maybe he was close to All Might's height. Huh, he had an All Might alien. A radioactive All Might.
"I think it's really cool!" Pony commented, taking out her phone to take a picture only to have it fly from her hand and into Reiko's.
"No photos." She warned.
"Why not?" Himiko stepped up to the ghost girl. "Who doesn't want a photo of family moments."
"It's a secret."
"Whose secret?"
"Ahem!" Izuku got their attention, eyeing down Reiko. "I might have the excuse to stay up later to get things sorted out, but you two have school tomorrow. Same with you Pony."
"Wah." Himiko whined as she plopped onto the couch. "You ain't gonna make me."
"Himiko." Inko pointed towards the clock that read ten o'clock. "You always complain that you hate mornings, and it's all because you keep staying up late. Go to bed."
"Hmph." The girl complied, moving over to her room before shutting the door.
Inko sighed at the antics of her daughter, and then addressed her attention to her guests. "I should have some spare futons packed away, and you can stay in my room."
"That's alright." Reiko held a hand up. "I don't need sleep."
"...Really?" She turned towards the alien expert, Izuku shrugging in reply.
"It's entirely possible. Besides, it's her own fault if she's tired tomorrow."
"...Ok then, Pony?"
The girl didn't want to leave Izuku alone with Reiko, she trusted him but this girl really was stressing out her nerves.
"There's still some things I want to go over with Izuku." She finally stated, turning towards the girl who apparently never slept. "In private."
"She can be present." Izuku announced. "I'm pretty sure the questions you have, she already knows."
Reiko, knows more of Izuku's secrets than her? "Ok, fine."
Inko backed away from the tense atmosphere, wondering just how Izuku had kids before he even got a real girlfriend. "I'll leave out the futons for whenever you're ready for bed."
"Can I sleep out here too?" Eri spoke while raising a hand from the couch.
"Best not sweetie." Inko tried to steer the smaller girl away, whispering into her ear in the process. "Izuku needs to figure out things with the girls in his life."
"Oooh, gotcha."
Beyond the powerful appearance of Izuku's newest transformation, Pony still was impressed when he turned into a hyper intelligent crab that used an electrical 'brain storm' to dismantle an empty freezer. Her and Reiko were on babysitting duty while he simultaneously repacked his room into boxes and tucked them into the corner of the living room, all while reassembling the freezer and hooking it into the plug. The rearranged parts of the freezer sprung to life, dropping the temperature of Izuku's room drastically as he exited the room.
"That should serve as a provisional supply of sub zero climate for the juvenile offsprings." His hyper intelligent form stated. "The insulatory properties will need more refined assimilation to the contemporary conditions, but the repressive overlay should prevail for a minimum of three planetary rotations."
Ok, she was going to pretend like she understood that. In a flash, Izuku turned back to human and picked up the tired children one by one from the couch. Pony helped, grabbing the smallest one while Reiko levitated two others. They brought them into the bedroom, the metal slab from the lid of the freezer bent to be in the rough shape of a bowl with stands to support it.
Izuku gently placed his kids inside of it, Pony and Reiko handing them off one by one. "I really hope they don't phase in their sleep."
"Can they do that this young?" Pony asked him as they walked out of the room.
"Hard to say." Izuku turned one last time towards his bedroom, smiling as they saw the five children cuddling with one another. "But, I think I'll have enough time to set something up before they figure it out."
"How long will that take?" Reiko asked the boy.
"Hmmm." Humming over the thought he scrolled through a few other aliens. "When I was Brainstorm, I saw I needed some more material to work with. I have a few other aliens that could do some more detailed work on machinery and even make some upgrades." He yawned, exhaustion finally rising to the surface as he sluggishly moved towards the living room.
Reiko flipped off the lights with her quirk, the boy reaching out his hands and running them over the couch as he was about to lay down.
"What are you doing?" Pony asked, seeing as how his entire bed was moved into the living room.
"Going to sleep. You can have the bed."
"You're injured, you sleep in the bed."
"It's not that bad, and I get to sleep in."
"You fought four heroes today!"
"Fine, you know what. I'm too tired to argue." Izuku grabbed out towards Pony, pulling her onto the bed and pushing her down. She squeaked when she felt the boy lay down next to her, pulling the blanket over himself and resting in place. "Goodnight."
Goodnight?! How was she supposed to be getting any sleep now?! Attempting to roll over towards Izuku, she saw Reiko standing in the dark hovering over them, staring right at her. Yep, she wasn't getting any sleep tonight. "Hey Izuku?"
"Hm?"
"You know that thing I wanted to ask you about?"
"Can it wait until morning?" The boy grumbled, just wanting to get some sleep above all else.
"I don't know." Pony admitted, feeling bad for keeping the boy awake longer than he wanted to. "Did, did I hear right when your detective dad mentioned an alien threat?"
"...Yeah, you heard right. I met an alien a while ago, my omnitrix detected her and so I went to check it out. It turns out, she crashed on Earth and couldn't signal back home." He rolled over to face her, Pony listening intently as he explained further.
"I tried to find a place on Earth that would be like her own planet's climate, it was volcanic, so I took her to yellow stone." He began to chuckle at the memory. "She was so confused why we let people visit a place full of pools of acid, and thought quirks were the weirdest thing ever. When I tried seeing where else she might be able to fit in on Earth, I found out that I could have just teleported her home all along. Her family was really nice, and gave unique hugs by stretching their arms around you three times over. I even managed to bring my own family to visit her."
His nostalgic smile began to fade, the boy bringing up his wrist with the omnitrix on it. "One day, she contacted me about rumors she heard about a device that could turn people into aliens. I thought it was the omnitrix, just the rumors being a little inaccurate at the time. Turns out, they were right. While I was busy she looked into it for me, trying to figure out who knew what about it and where the rumors came from."
As her eyes began to adjust to the dark, she noticed a wet sheen over his eyes as his voice became more quiet.
"Then…at the party..she contacted me and said…I'll just play it."
The omnitrix lit up, the hourglass pulsating along with the words being spoken. Pony could hear both sides, Izuku's confusion and this Esta's absolute terror. It was horrible to listen to, her imagination running a mile per second on what could be happening on the other side while she would have been unable to do anything but listen.
"Run! Just run Izuku! Take everybody you can and get away from Earth! He's going to come to Earth! He's coming for the omnitrix just-HE'S HERE! OH PLEASE NO-"
It cut out, Pony now just noticing the sound of Izuku sniffling right across from her. His shaky words did their best to tell her the next part.
"I, teleported right to where she was, where her planet was located….but it was knocked off course. It was all molten and torn apart, like if a moon had just rammed it from the inside." He began to cry, every fear and every exhausting effort leaking out as his body shook with uncontrollable exhales. Pony immediately wrapped her arms around him, pulling the boy close and letting him lean into her this time. Even if he didn't remember it, he did the same for her just earlier, so she would do the same for him.
"I'm so sorry." She whispered into his ear.
He didn't wail out into the night, he didn't beat the ground with his fist in anguish, he just leaned into a set of warm arms that never pushed him away. Izuku clung onto her, never wanting to let her go in fear of losing her to this unseeable threat.
He was just so tired of trying to keep everything together.
Behold, Atomix used in a completely non battle setting! I like to imagine him as the 5YL version since I think it's cooler, but I left it vague enough so you can picture him either way.
Ok, while we will have some cute little scenes of Baby Chills in the future they won't step too far into the story until we revisit the plot point. I'll admit, I wasn't exactly planning on writing so much about them, and maybe for my story as a whole I shouldn't have kept them. BUT! I wanted a goodway to segway into a new development, and seeing how Izuku isn't like Ben and takes as much responsibility as possible it's likely he would try to raise them. Luckily, he has aliens to create a home where they won't run off, and Eri will gladly serve as their Aunt while he's off on adventures.
Another reason why I put this much writing into the Baby Chills, is that besides transformation this has been the number one requested thing for me to write.

spyro259: Better than expected.
Colossus Bridger: I mean, he kept five of them.
Puppy Leaf Owned: We see Ben interact with other Necrofriggians in Ultimate Alien, so he is not the last of his kind.
gharreth: That's the goal of this fic, branch out and explore the parts not talked about enough.
AnimeFan13579: We'll get to see some people reacting to the news next chapter, especially Shoto himself. I already have so much planned, and at this rate I don't want to put anything more on my workload.
Etheranus: Can't say I'm familiar with that term, and looking it up just brought me to a random character.
leoromerocalvo: Exactly, Izuku is reaching his limit and needs to depend on others.
SbaBiro: Excuse me?
SamukaiGaming: I have no plans to involve reboot content.
morsemadison532: It happened right after Izuku healed him, and it's directly mentioned several times in that chapter. As for Tomura, his body is missing.
Guest: I don't know if I have time to visit Burnin's character.
Yes, Reiko went on her own to try and find Izuku. She simply wasn't successful and was called when they found him. As for movie moments, I don't think I'll do that. I've got enough on my plate as is for this story.
Omar: True, what if Kendo decides Earth life just isn't enough and leaves to solve bigger problems?
