Master Control
Chapter 51
RED ALERT
The sirens didn't stop blaring inside the base just recently built, the bare bones of skeletal work already shouting as the worst was called in.
"We have his location?" Nezu, standing atop the console looking up towards the large screen displaying several cameras and data was taking command.
"Yes." Agent Bubbles, already pulling it up with the computer already tapping into nearby cameras to show them what was happening. It was a mess of gore and rubble spanning over five blocks. They rewound, identifying when Naomasa entered into the structure with All Might, Gran Torino, and Sir Nighteye into a single apartment. The data immediately pulled up who owned the structure and displayed pictures of the landlord, who lived inside, and who had entered within the last month.
As impressive as these new systems were, they were not ready for an attack this soon.
"We're here!"
Izuku ran in with Mina and Eijiro, stopping when they saw the current feeds show the awful scene.
"Midoriya." Nezu selected the image of a man he was not aware of, from before he turned to after he had transformed into his true self. "Do you know this species?"
"Yes."
"Can you counter it?"
Izuku, wasn't entirely confident. There were very few in the omnitrix he could think of that could withstand or redirect mana attacks. Even less that could handle them from a fully matured Anodite. "I have some ideas."
"Can anyone help?" Agent Bubbles was the next to ask, not liking what little options there were. "We already have everyone from those who know to those we considered telling on their way."
"Of course we can!" Eijiro stepped up beside his friend, Mina as well but still fixated on the screens.
"No."
"What?!" The crystal boy who could withstand All Might killer punches was shocked, seeing that despite all the progress Izuku was still keeping them away. "Dude, we can-"
"You don't stand a chance!" Izuku was already dialing up an alien. "We hoped that it could be someone who needed to set up a bunch of devices world wide to take out the planet, we hoped it was some big ship we could infiltrate and take out, we hoped it was even an armada, because the worst case scenario is someone having the power to rip apart a planet with their bare hands, and that's what we're dealing with. That's what only I can deal with."
None of them, as much as they wanted to, could find a way to argue against him. If there was someone else, anyone one of them they could think of that could battle this foe they would.
Only Izuku knew this species.
Only Izuku knew their strengths and weaknesses.
Only Izuku, could save their world.
"Hey!" Mina yelled out, Izuku glancing up once he had the hologram of his alien of choice within the dial ready. "Come back to us, ok?"
Giving a small nod towards her, Izuku slammed his hand down on the omnitrix to let the device prepare him for the fight he had been preparing for.
Two months until a dire future he saw, but he imagined he would have at least one month to stop it.
Not one week.
*BWOOOSH*
The wind was pressing against Itsuka's skin, her limbs barely keeping themselves on her body as she was being flown upwards. With a sudden stop, she could feel her neck almost break from the whiplash as the grip on her throat tightened.
"Firstly, your deluded view of heroism." Nolan held her above one of the largest towers in the country, the main facility of the Hero Public Safety Commission. Hundreds of heroes were based inside, with thousands more people employed, all in that one building that managed their whole country's hero infrastructure. "These people are business men, only trying to get the biggest and strongest to enforce their rules onto the masses to the point the people gobble up anything with a hero's face plastered on it. They've already brainwashed the populace to listen to anything the heroes say, and if this company tells their heroes to say 'vote for this or that' the public will obey without question. This is one of the greatest flaws humanity has, and I don't intend that for you."
"P-please." She managed to rasp out of her lungs, constricted by the man's fixed grasp on her. "D-don't-"
He let the vibrant blue energy from his body pump itself through Itsuka, the girl finding herself bound by an unstoppable force as he reared back his arm.
Then he threw her, right through the roof all the way down to the lowest kept chambers of secrets.
*SHBOOOOOOOOOOOM*
The building exploded from the inside out, rebar and molten steel beams launching into the surrounding, densely populated city. Even the sheer force from breaking the sound barrier sent all the glass within a mile radius to split into several billions pieces of glittering shrapnel finding its way into tens of thousands of victims.
At the bottom, Itsuka was shaking, her body numbing itself with adrenaline as she tried to push herself up.
"I won't relieve you of your body yet." Floating down to her, Nolan used a telekinetic grasp to bring the half broken body of his daughter back into his hand, "I need to make sure every ounce of humanity is gone from you before I-oh, I missed the important one."
Itsuka was pointed towards a private plane, one that was now turning away as fast as it could. She could barely make out the logo of the HPSC etched onto its side through the blood rushing over her face.
Her father flew them up, right in the direction of the plane that held people of some of the highest influence on board. There was no time for it to turn away, so Itsuka felt the metal split around her with the passengers inside crushed against her.
"Now to the second."
Itsuka tried to plead with him, to make sense of the insanity happening around her. Despite what she had faced, despite what she had trained for and overcome, even becoming the strongest hero student her school, all she could see was death and chaos caused by the man she had just started to put so much trust into.
She couldn't even cry properly, her lungs spasming in her chest to beat against her ribcage in an uncontrollable sob. When she saw that they were above UA, the school that held so many of her friends, where she fought with them, learned how to be a better person, her hands found themselves trying to pry her out of the grip of her father lest this too fell to his wrath.
"Don't be like that." He sounded genuinely hurt from how hard she was bawling. "I'll miss your mother too, but all these things are just temporary. We are forever, and we are the only thing that can truly shape the universe into a better place. I promise, I'll make this lesson as quick as I can. I still love you."
With a flick to shatter mountains to dust, he launched her straight to the center of the property with the blue trail of a comet right behind her.
Itsuka found no up and down, no right or wrong, only the will of her father ripping everything to shreds.
He said that he loved her, and that made it feel worse.
"Kendo!" A strong, protective voice came from her side, one that she had grown up to see as peace, justice, hope, and everything good in the world. "It's alright now, I am here."
Barely managing to bring a shaking arm riddled with cuts and bruises to wipe the dust and blood from her eyes, Itsuka saw her mentor, the number one hero, All Might carrying her in his arms beside the perfectly intact school.
"A-All M-Miiiight!" She cried out like a toddler, clutching herself around the safest thing her mind could fall back to. With the crying of her lungs cutting up her words, she managed to beg with the screams of a traumatized child. "P-p-ple-e-ease sa-ave me!"
The white hot fury pumped through the hero's heart, having heard that voice only from those who have suffered the worst from their parents. He could show mercy to those who rob a store, stab a person in the streets, and even those who have taken a life.
But to the ones that targeted and abused the innocent young of this world? He would bring Hell.
"You're still alive." Nolan crossed his arms, scowling at the hardly impressive human below him. "I'll fix that."
"Stay somewhere safe Kendo." All Might held back a growl as he saw the emergency response robots in UA's property already rushing to their direction. "I have a parent teacher conference to take care of."
"Don'tgodon'tgodon'tgo." Even as Itsuka was picked up by the medical drones, no doubt already alerting Recovery Girl of a student on property found critically injured, her mind desperately reached out to the only thing that made her feel remotely safe.
All Might ripped off his suit jacket and tie, letting what power he still had flow to its maximum lengths through his muscles. He had prepared for a potential fight with All for One, now he had to face someone he discovered he hated just as much.
Naomasa opened his eyes slowly, instantly closing them feeling dust enter one and the other feeling like a knife wound to his head. Bringing a sore arm to wipe away the dirt, his ringing ears began to pick up dozens, if not hundreds of voices crying out around them.
"Son of a BITCH!"
Off to his left, he opened up his good eye to see the old hero tightening his cape around his thigh. It quickly turned red, the detective soon seeing the state of his leg that was turned to ground beef.
"Where's All Might?!" A voice choked out nearby, Naomasa rolling over and seeing Nighteye pinned under a slab of concrete with his arm twisted into itself.
The events started coming back to him. The apartment visit, Kendo's father, the jewel.
The blood.
"ARGH!" He tried to sit up, only for a splitting pain in his back to make him recoil. All he could do was breathe heavily as the adrenaline in his body made it nearly impossible to reach into his pocket to pull out the advanced communicator. Finding his finger onto the main button, he took a few more pants to steady his speech. "H-he's gone. I don't know where he is, but we need ambulances here and-"
"DAD!"
An unfamiliar voice yelled out, but it was so close and running towards him he had to look. Their appearance was so alien, but he knew who it was right away.
"Izuku…help them. Help All Might…Help Itsuka."
That's all he managed to get out before the blackness overcame his one good eye. He dreamed of a life, relaxing in a home with someone warm in his arms as saw three smiling faces in front of himself.
He wanted that now more than ever.
"RRRAAAAHHH!" All Might's legs crushed the ground underneath himself into a crater, launching him to deliver a punch straight into the man's chest and rocketing him away.
He landed in a large stadium, turning it into a crater on impact with dust kicked up everywhere.
As the number one hero approached through the air, he saw a dangerous glow in the cloud of Earth.
It reached out, grabbing onto everything around him until not just the stadium, but every building around him was pulled out of their foundations and rising into the air to orbit around their master. He lazily rose a finger towards All Might, and they all rushed to break themselves against the hero.
"NEBRASKA SMAAASH!" Twisting the air around his fist with speed and strength no human had ever done, All Might threw out his fist and punched a gaping hole in the obstacles. Kicking so hard that the air felt solid under his feet, All Might went to deliver a deadly blow to his enemy.
The arm shot out faster than he could react, smacking All Might high into the air and nearly knocking him out. His shirt was grabbed, bringing him close to the glowing enemy that was inspection All Might curiously.
"The number one hero? From what I can tell you're barely able to keep this body from failing on you. I almost feel bad facing against someone so fragile."
All Might felt life return into his lungs, the constricting scars along his stomach relaxing as they felt better than ever. He could breathe, he could feel no pain, all the injuries and scars sustained over the years corrected to his peak physical body.
"Don't get me wrong." Nolan held All Might in a field of blue, the hero couldn't find a way to get any leverage in his position. "I'm still going to kill you. This way I'll actually get to experience the best this planet has to offer….wait a second, what's this?"
One for All, he could feel something probing it, interrupting his strength as it was pried and prodded from all sides by an unseen force.
"This is like Itsuka's." The monster revealed his true face full of disgust and hatred towards humanity, starting to squeeze All Might slowly to try and get an answer. "What did you do to her?"
The shadow of All Might's power fought back, gripping onto the energies binding it as All Might willed himself to break free. One for All fought with him, latching onto the source of the foreign energy and rip into it.
It was enough to break the man's concentration, All Might throwing a haymaker that would take anyone's head and impacting the man's face.
The atmosphere broke around him, pummeling the alien off into the distance and letting All Might start to fall. He checked himself over quickly, and found no faults to speak of with his body. Even if he was completely healthy, he could tell One for All was not truly present like it was before.
He was still working with embers.
The pain returned, Nolan having circled around the globe to ram his fists into All Might's spine from behind and blasting him through Deika city. He was pushed straight through the center, destroying populated buildings one after another until he was thrown up through the central skyscraper, and blasted by a powerful beam back down to cause everything to blast away.
All Might laid in the crater of what was a functioning city in the mountains just a minute ago, now only a graveyard.
Fighting past the unbearable pain and guilt of so many lives lost, All Might got back to his feet, to stand against the evil before him. Not even All for One in his prime made such bold moves.
"Itsuka was supposed to witness this." Nolan pushed a hand forward, All Might being crushed under the weight of what felt like the entire planet on his back. Still he stood, defiant but unable to move as his electric blue eyes steeled themselves against the man.
"But I can just bring back some proof."
Raising one hand above his head, the alien pooled together arcs of chaotic blue power from all around him, condensing it into a brilliant star that overcame the brightness of day. He held it towards the trapped hero, and released its energy straight towards the immobile man.
All Might stared death in the eye, as he could only fear for the safety of the whole planet.
Sorry Nana.
"CHROMASTONE!"
The blinding energy was intercepted, flowing into a being who became a kaleidoscope of light that only increased the more power that flowed into him. When it was over, Nolan was taken back by a figure he only learned about in Petrosapien myths.
Floating just above All Might, Chromastone leveled his single green eye towards the other alien.
"Let's see how you like it!" Blasting the attack right back at him, Nolan was punched out of the atmosphere by the beam.
With the excess energy released, Chromastone returned to his natural color scheme of dark obsidian stone and vibrant magenta crystals. He flew back down to All Might, who fell to his knees exhausted and in pain.
"All Might." Quickly going to his side to catch the man, Chromastone lifted him up. "Are you alright?"
The number one hero saw the hourglass symbol on his chest, and took a shot in the dark about what little he heard today. "Young Midoriya?"
Sighing, Izuku didn't bother denying it. "Can't a secret just stay secret for one week."
"I'm not sure I understand." All Might winced as he tried to stand on his own, forced to lean against Izuku's alien form. "Just, what exactly is this all about?"
"That guy you just fought." Pointing to where they last saw him, Izuku began to lift up into the air with All Might as his passenger. "He's an alien, who has destroyed planets to get what I've got."
"The omnitrix." All Might knew that much, having heard it from the man himself.
"Exactly. We can't let him have it or else who knows what he'll do with-"
"Itsuka." Interrupting the boy, All Might worried for the state of his pupil. "We have to go to her, he tried to kill her."
"What?! What does he have to do with her?!"
"He's her father."
With his crystalline eye widening, Chromastone felt stupid for not seeing it earlier. "Of course she's an Anodite, just like Gwen."
There was another one?! "Who?"
"Doesn't matter." Disturbed by how quiet it was in the wasteland of the recently deceased, Chromastone began to fly All Might away from the battlefield. "Fill me in on the way. Where is she now?"
"I left her at the school. Hurry, she was not in good shape the last time I saw her."
Mentally making a call with his omnitrix, Izuku spoke aloud as he flew as fast as he could. "Chromastone to Nezu. I have All Might, enroute to UA now where the Anodite is most likely to show up."
"He's alive?!" All Might coughed, already having damage to his new lungs. "After that?!"
"Trust me All Might, he won't even get a bruise from that."
"Right you are." Nolan was right on top of them, whipping them away with a tendril of his energy. "But you got the name wrong, we're Adronites."
Finding his balance again, and keeping a tighter grip on All Might, Izuku tried to make sure he heard that right. "Adronites? Not Anodites?"
"Don't make me repeat myself." Storms brewed above them, making the piercing light of his eyes stand out even more. "You have something I want. Give it to me, and I'll let you walk away."
"On a planet you're about to destroy?" Chromastone shot back, anger rising as he remembered what plagued his nightmares. "Like the Kraaho homeworld just because of a rumor?!"
"Oh please." Rolling his eyes, Nolan released several thousands lashes of conjured energy to target them. "Those filthy horns burned many worlds in their own conquests. I just delivered their karma."
Dodging through the fire, Chromastone tossed All Might above the man. "WHAT ABOUT ESTA?! WHAT ABOUT HER FAMILY?! THEY WERE NOTHING LIKE THAT!"
Without the number one hero around him, Izuku absorbed every hit as he charged towards the man, throwing back the energy in a flashy display. With his sight compromised, All Might took full advantage.
"UNITED STATES-" He pivoted through the air, ignoring his injuries as he clenched his fist. "-OF SMAAAASH"
*KABOOM*
They managed to get another hit in, Chromastone catching All Might and shooting off to UA.
Izuku had always wanted to see that move in person, but he wanted to live to see it again.
Within the realm of her own distraught mind, Itsuka felt herself in a dream-like state. She was only an observer, no emotion, no thought, just watching the lights as they drew closer. Each one turned into somebody, all of them in outfits resembling heroes.
The first, she wasn't sure how she knew but it was him. The one who started it. He approached her, empathizing with her situation. "I'm sorry, I know what it's like to feel powerless under a dear family member's wrath against humanity."
"But we need you to get up." Another bald man wearing goggles on his head approached.
"We were reluctant in allowing your power to intertwine with us." A tall man wearing rags stated. "Right now though, we can't hold back."
"We passed on our will to beat All for One." A beautiful woman with black hair, a mother she could feel, made their intentions known. "But that was to save humanity."
"Be a Hero."
Itsuka felt herself gasp for air as her eyes shot open, Recovery Girl stepping back with two medal paddles in her grasp. Her chest found its steady beat again, her heart and lungs working to keep her mind alive.
The nurse immediately went to work, grabbing a compact MRI from I-island to look over Itsuka's state. "My you are a lucky one."
"Recovery Girl." Her throat was sore, Itsuka rubbing it with a hand full of cuts. "What, where…."
It all came back, Itsuka lifting her hand to see all of the red covering it.
"Lay down." The nurse demanded. "You're hurt, you need help."
Help, she needed it desperately but who was going to help everyone else?
Heroes helped people, and that's what she needed to be.
"Now, try to relax." Recovery Girl brought over a cart full of tools and cleaning supplies. "I can do a quick patch job but we can't stay here. Nezu called and-"
The wall exploded inward, Itsuka jolting upright to see All Might laying on the floor beaten and bruised, the man clearly in pain but was barely even conscious.
"R-run." He warned. A shadow descending down towards the opening in the building.
"Itsuka." Nolan announced with a smile. "Good, I managed to keep him alive long enough for you."
*BANG BANG*
He was mildly annoyed as bullets were fired against his frame, Nolan setting his eyes on the frail old woman emptying every round in a handgun at him. "Such a shame how aging really impacts a species' mind."
*SQUELCH*
His hand cut into the old woman's throat, gripping her spine as Recovery Girl began choking on her own blood rushing into her lungs. The suffering didn't last long as Nolan ripped it out of her body through her neck, smacking the improvised weapon against the side of All Might's head to knock him out for good.
"NNNOOOOO!" Chromastone grabbed him from behind, pulling him out of Recovery Girl's office and tussling with him.
Instinctively pushing outward with his power, it only fueled Chromastone as he lit up like a New York Christmas tree and used that raw energy to blast Itsuka's dad away. "Itsuka! Are you alright?!"
Her mind felt oddly clear, processing everything but saving the panic for later. That allowed her to think back on what her father had shared with her, and what she saw on the alien's chest. "Izuku."
"Yeah, it's me. Come on! He's after you and we have got to get you somewhere safe!"
"It doesn't matter." Itsuka got off the white bed stained with more blood, the girl using what control she had of her powers to clean herself off of the remains of so many. "He'll just keep killing until he gets what he wants."
"I also have something he wants." Izuku pointed to the omnitrix on his chest. "I can try and lure him away, and-"
"Wonderful!" Nolan floated down, seeing Itsuka and Izuku standing together. "I was upset with you earlier Itsuka, with you keeping who had the omnitrix a secret, but now I get it! You were trying to protect him!"
They scowled towards him, both readying themselves for whatever move he might make next. All Might was behind them, and they would keep him safe.
"What's your name?" Nolan questioned the user of the omnitrix, who felt no desire to truly comply.
"You can call me, Chromastone." Izuku immediately felt the grasp of the man's power around him, the boy immediately starting to absorb it but still felt himself restrained.
"Not your little hero name." Gripping him tightly, Nolan would get what he came for. "It's Izuku right? Itsuka has spoken fondly of you. If she likes you, then I don't need to take the omnitrix away. Just do what I want and you can survive this."
"Stop it!" Itsuka demanded, throwing out balls of pink energy to blast against her father. He didn't even flinch, only gripping tighter against Izuku and flowing even more power into the boy.
"Turn into an Adronite." He demanded. "Do it, and you can live."
"I…can't!" Struggling to try and absorb past the limit to this man's energy, Chromastone was stuck in place.
"You don't know how?"
"No!" Izuku tried sending a blast from the crystal on his forehead, but it was trapped in the same field that was growing tighter around him. "I tried scanning before, but the omnitrix can't process what you're made of!"
Nolan, ignoring the multitude of attacks his daughter was throwing at him, grew much colder as he no longer saw potential in the boy. "I see. Then you aren't worth keeping alive."
His body grew brighter than the day, pouring an intense wave of energy through Chromastone's body as every atom of his being was latched onto, and ripped apart.
"RAAAAHHHH!" Izuku cried out in pain, his form disintegrating before Itsuka's eyes.
One for All flowed through her, she put it all into her finger, every part of her strength from her heritage to her quirk she aimed at her father.
100%
The force rivaled a warhead, crashing into the invader and speeding his body from a wide beam of pink energy that burned through the fabric of space.
When it stopped, Itsuka clutched her hand, seeing cracks running along her arm with the same pink light bleeding out from underneath. The finger she used, was no longer flesh, but a black void that emanated her very essence.
A green flash alerted her to Izuku, in his human form falling onto the ruined grass in a dizzy state.
"Izuku!" Itsuka was bewildered, she saw him ripped apart before his very eyes! "You're, alive?"
"A failsafe." Izuku explained, holding up the omnitrix. "I can basically 'eject' out of my alien forms if the body is being heavily damaged or destroyed."
The storm was fast approaching, the sky filled with dark clouds as blue lightning began to dance between them.
"He'll be back." Getting to his feet, Izuku began fiddling with the omnitrix again. "What you just did, can you keep that up?"
Itsuka glanced back to her finger, the one that she had burned her humanity away to get the upper hand on her father. All Might couldn't fight anymore, it was up to her.
Anything that's worth living for requires sacrifice, right Dad?
"Yeah." Itsuka clenched her fist, fueling One for All through her body to its limits and then going beyond. It hurt, but losing anyone else would hurt even more. "I can keep it up."
"Good." Izuku's omnitrix briefly flashed a bright green, the dial rotating as it looked like it was loading somethingl. "I think it's time we even the playing field."
"I thought you can't turn into an Adronite?" Itsuka questined. "Do you have a different alien that can face him?"
With a confident smirk, Izuku watched as a hologram began to form in the dial. "The omnitrix has gotten a scan of not just two different dimensional versions of an Anodite, but also their human counterparts as well. With enough pieces of the data, it can create a whole new alien that's compatible enough to turn me into."
"Render complete." The omnitrix announced. "New DNA available."
*KRAKOOM*
Itsuka's father, the self proclaimed last of the great Adronites of their universe descended out of the clouds, the lighting channeling all around him. His scowl was clear, echoed through the entire storm in rolling thunder.
"Something's infected you." His voice shook the sky, his power collecting into both of his hands. "Something that teacher of yours placed in you."
A bright reaction occurred between his palms, a dangerous orb brewing with devastation.
"I better cut it out before it takes root, along with this world of dirt."
The teens heard him, seeing the threat to their world culminating into one attack. There wasn't time to talk as Nolan threw his arms out. There was no time to plan as it shot towards them.
There was only the single instinct, the one that moved their bodies before they could think.
The dial fell back into the omnitrix, rushing the new DNA in a wave of green light over Izuku as he brought his fist back, channeling all his new power into one punch. His body was of a strong masculine type that matched the void of space, with boots and vambraces of the glowing emerald power of his new form, small trims leading to a large chest piece that dawned over his shoulders, around his neck, and down to the dial centered on his chest. His head was a white flaming light that carried the same emerald glow around itself, with a domino mask of darker green material to show his bright eyes focused on their common enemy.
Itsuka mirrored him, pushing the vibrant pink energy through her arm with One for All to fuel its efforts, the cracks along her limb growing brighter, lightning sparking all around as it coiled around her fist.
Together, their punches smashed against the wall of blue heat, trails of green and pink crashing out as tidal waves to push away their demise. He pushed harder against them, the strength he culminated over eons of time proving to be difficult. They pushed back, Izuku with the prime body of the species made from the very man he faced, and Itsuka's arm setting itself ablaze with pink flames as she unleashed everything it could offer. The forces struggled against one another, both fighting for dominance over the other until they canceled each other out.
The backlash sent a crack out through the air, Nolan recoiling from the sudden shockwave as he stared down at the two with anger.
"What was that?! What have you done to her?!"
Itsuka wrapped herself in pink energy, using the very technique for flying taught by her father and becoming a streak rocketing towards him. Izuku was right next to her, the two both locked on the man as they became living missiles.
Feeling their rise in strength, he braced himself as their arms rammed themselves into his shield, throwing him farther from the planet they would defend with their lives.
Far into space he was sent, the frustration of this turn of events making him even more dangerous. Thousands of blue arms reached out from his body, all chasing after the two comets that circled him.
Izuku created blades of green around himself, cutting through the vines at a rapid pace as he began returning for another attack.
Itsuka charged her way through them, blasting away with explosives punches and kicks that shredded everything in her path.
"This isn't right!" Nolan called out in the depths of the black as he flew away from their assault. "You're corrupting yourself Itsuka, and that boy is nothing more than a cheap copy!"
He passed through the meteor belt of the system, grabbing onto as many rocks as he could in his telekinesis and bringing them together in a shower to hail against them.
Izuku manifested a massive drill in front of himself, holding it out as he plowed through the space debris.
Itsuka pushed out a massive pink tendril from her new arm, whipping against the storm and sending it back towards their enemy.
Seeing his attack turned against himself, the destroyer of worlds sent out a pulse of his power to rip apart the stones into nothing but dust. Izuku was right behind it, Nolan bracing himself for another telegraphed attack coming towards his head.
Only Izuku passed right over him, giving room to Itsuka with a blazing kick into his gut.
It exploded on impact, the flesh burning away as all her power was released into cracking his form.
Gasping from the sensation, Nolan glanced down towards his core to see that his body was breaking, cracks of white seeping out the precious life force contained within. Fear took hold of his mind, because never had he seen this injury on any of his kind before.
"I did so much to restore our race!" Seeing the nearby gas planet, he desperately reached out with his powers and took hold of its moons. He brought them together, increasing the gravity to immeasurable amounts and throwing it at them, now the size of a new planet. "I lost too much! I fought too hard!"
Izuku and Itsuka were on a collision course with it, both of them connecting a line of green and pink between one another as they flew apart. They rocketed around it from both sides, skimming the surface while burning paths along it as they were nearly pulled into its center. Once they made it to the otherside, they gripped the line of energy that the new planet was falling into, and pulled with all of their strength.
Izuku manifested turbines over his feet, jet flames spilling out as he yanked the line forward.
Itsuka made a platform under herself, her legs breaking themselves as she forced herself to push back off of it while keeping her hold. With one last push of One for All, shared between them they felt a renewed rush.
They exploded out towards their enemy, with a whole planet to throw right at him.
"This universe has taken everything from us!" Rushing with as much energy as he could ahead of himself, Nolan sent out a beam that shattered the projectile from the inside out. "I'm trying to make it right, I'm trying to save us!"
The two streaks of intertwining willpower came through the rubble, Izuku as a green light of the brightest lantern and Itsuka with her body burning with pink flames of determination built upon by generations.
With his body breaking, his energy depleting, the king of an empty empire lashed out with a desperate push of force to keep himself alive. "Please! They aren't worth helping!"
Izuku launched ahead of Itsuka, creating a shield to take the blow that would shatter worlds. He winced under the impact, his manifestation snapping around the edges as he raged against the night.
Itsuka sped around him, a roaring flame that had consumed her arm, consumed her legs, and was starting to roll up her fist as she channeled everything in her body into one final blow.
Space twisted around her, the bearer of the strongest quirk of Earth delivering a celestial smash into the open wound.
His form began to shatter, bleeding beams of his blinding essence out of his dark form. His eyes began to flare, brightening as his life force was rising up his throat. Desperate to cling to existence, he gripped onto Itsuka's burning arm, the vibrant flames dissolving parts of her face as he saw the Adronite within her.
"I only ever wanted, the best for my family."
Itsuka could remember the brief span of time she looked up to her father, the man who taught her so much about the universe, about her powers and responsibility, to how he would lovingly watch her mother doing simple chores around the house after being unable to convince her to let him do all the work.
Her mother, who loved them both so much and saw the best in everyone.
A tear escaped her still human eye, Itsuka wishing for that life back on Earth with her family. Nolan held out hope his daughter was showing mercy, that she would do the right thing.
Itsuka saw there was truth behind her father's lessons, about how she had a responsibility to protect life with the power she had. Steeling herself past the pain of already having lost her life, Itsuka screamed out as she went beyond her body's tolerance.
Her form erupted into a shimmering display, the energy produced carving its way into the man who did so much for her, showed her how to get to where she was. Every last bit of her humanity only fueled the flames that rushed into him, overcoming his body as it began to shatter with the strength of multiple heroes behind it.
Until finally, he detonated. The currents of blue waved through the solar system and into the stars, echoing the end to a battle for survival.
She could feel it, the last parts of her body, the very edges of her fingers starting to vanish. Itsuka watched as the last of the flames of this war took her body, leaving behind a new version of herself she couldn't recognize. Her life of mortality, being a young hero to be with friends and family was over.
Goodbye, Itsuka Kendo.
With nothing left to hold onto, Itsuka looked up to the stars and the endless space that filled the gaps between them.
"Is that it?" Izuku's new form slowly approached, hovering in the sea of darkness with her. "Did, we beat him?"
"Yes." Itsuka, or wherever she was now confirmed it. The Earth was saved, but at a price she might not fully understand yet. But was it still safe?
"I'm sorry." He apologized by habit. "I'm, sure he seemed nice at the time, but-"
"It's ok." Itsuka reached out, feeling odd as they seemed almost like the same people, but not close enough to truly be Izuku and Itsuka. They were beings of energy, alone in the cosmos. "He wasn't going to stop until he got what he wanted, no matter what."
They went back to looking at the stars, the silence being a comfort to their recent chaos.
"Have you been out there?" Itsuka asked, wondering about the life that existed out in the beyond.
"Yes." Izuku admitted, feeling a stronger bond having formed between them. "There's so much out there, and I barely felt like I got to scratch the surface of it."
"Are there more threats like him?"
He, wasn't sure. The only threats Izuku was ever really aware of, were the Highbreed during their invasion, and Itsuka's father. "I don't know. There could be. Why do you ask?"
"You mentioned a planet my father destroyed." She searched, wondering where that might be. "I don't know how many worlds he has made enemies out of, or who he's hurt, or if there are any surviving Adronites like him."
Izuku glanced back from where they came from, the distant ball of blue that was no more than a speck from where he was. "Don't you want to go back home?"
"I don't have a home there anymore."
Itsuka experienced a loss Izuku only ever had nightmares of. Losing your family, all of it in one hour, it was something he couldn't live with. But, the planet was alive thanks to them, thanks to her, and there were people they knew wanted to see them again. "What about our friends? Becoming a hero and helping people?"
"I think my father was right about something." Starting to let her body float forward towards the distant worlds, she turned around to face the fellow energy being. "I have bigger responsibilities now. I'm no longer human."
"I can get you your body back." Izuku immediately promised, already thinking of a couple of different ways to do so.
"I appreciate what you're trying to do for me, but I can't go back. Not when there might be other forces out there that threaten Earth."
As much as Izuku wanted to argue that he could take care of that, that he could be the one to go out and fix the damage done out there and watch for any threats….he had a family to get back to.
She could see him realize it, and gave a gentle smirk. "It's ok. You take care of the planet in case any stragglers get past me."
He couldn't agree with that, but he couldn't disagree either. Before he was aware of it Itsuka had come forward to give him a quick hug.
"Thank you, for everything."
"Of course." He returned the gesture, before a sudden thought came to him. "Hold on."
Pulling out one of the advanced communicators that he had given to all his other heroes, friends, and family that were aware of aliens, he thought it wise for her to have one. "Here, in case you need to contact me."
"Or you need to contact me." It was a joke at first, but then Itsuka realized that she was leaving an unfinished job with Izuku. "But, there is something, or someone you should know about."
Curious about what would be so important, Izuku made sure he was giving her his full attention when she began the tale.
"It started back in the first generations of quirks, with two brothers."
Off in the woods, far from civilization, Mrs. Waterhose opened the trunk to her car. There was plenty of luggage inside, from herself, her sister, and her son.
"Let me help." Tiger, member of the Wild Wild Pussycats grabbed fourbags with one hand, easily hefting it onto his shoulder as he brought them to their mountainside base. Now recently renewed with a couple extra buildings thanks to the interns.
"Thanks." The woman, just having got out of a hospital thanks to some new lifesaving procedures, managed to clean her body of the radiation she suffered and any damage to her cells. She had been through a fair amount in her life, but that was a lot of people in Japan at the moment. "I really appreciate you letting us stay here for the summer."
"It's our pleasure!" Ragdoll enthusiastically came forward to help grab one of the bags. "We love it when you two visit!"
"Things are crazy right now." Mandalay voiced, carrying some of her own items from the car and bringing them inside. "Right now, we could all use a retreat."
One of the backdoors kicked open, a boy roughly ten years old with shaggy black hair tucked under a cap stepped out of the car. His eyes were permanently fixated into a shadowed glare, his narrow pupils doing no better to make him look friendly.
"Hey Kota." Pixie-Bob hoisted his backpack. "Where do you want me to put this?"
"I'll get it later." Was the only reply, Kota Izumi finding a rock on his path and began kicking it forward, following it to wherever it rolled.
The rescue heroes were experienced with his attitude, but after the recent incidents it was hard to say what exactly was affecting his mental wellbeing. His father was killed by a crazed serial killer villain, he and his Mom moved in with his Aunt leaving behind the only home he knew, his mother was hospitalized and nearly died from one of Japan's most dangerous villains, and now he was forced to move again after Japan was brutalized from the most recent attack.
"Let's just give him space." Mrs. Izumi instructed the others. "Isn't that what we're all out here for anyways?"
Even as the sun began to set, and Mandalay's mental reminders about what it was, Kota just kept kicking his rock deeper into the woods. At first, he hated the idea of heroes. His Dad died because he was one, but then his Mom almost died too but was kept safe enough to live by Backdraft, another hero. Now, lots of people died with heroes, and now Kota didn't know who to blame for the problems in his life.
"Screw everything." He kicked the rock against a tree, the pebble bouncing back in revenge against his head.
"Ouch!" Wincing over the consequences of his own actions, Kota even considered if it was just him. His Mom managed to find purpose, his classmates all had goals and dreams, everyone around seemed to know their role in the world and they fit themselves into place.
So where did he fit in? Where was his purpose?
As he was rubbing the sore spot on his head, Kota looked up, seeing a burning star falling to the Earth.
"Woah, a shooting star." It was the brightest one he had ever seen, impossible to ignore as it soared along the sky. It carried on its path with clear purpose, unstoppable in its course to wherever it was destined to be. It wasn't like him, where things happened to his life and he was useless to do anything but accept the outcome.
If he was to wish for anything, he wanted the power to shape his life however he chose.
The ball of fire immediately snapped towards his direction, Kota gasping as he saw the meteor coming right for him!
Running away from it as fast as his young legs could take him, Kota was blown onto his stomach from the impact generated from it.
Alive? Check.
Body? Sore.
Awake? Probably.
Pushing up from the dirt under his hands, Kota saw the state of his knees and released a small stream of water from his hands to clean himself off. Turning around, he saw the simmering crater cooling with a short trail of uprooted and broken trees behind it.
But in its center, was a strange orb of metal.
Looks like a, satellite or something. He was a kid, he wasn't supposed to know what every falling doodad was.
Taking a step towards the edge, the ground underneath his foot collapsed, making Kota scramble to find his footing as he slipped deeper into the scorched pit. It was right there in front of him, the star that was supposed to grant his wish.
Before he could inspect whatever this object was, Kota flinched as air began hissing from a mechanism, the top half of it folding open enough to reveal the content inside.
There, a black band with silver tubes running along its sides, all coming together to a single face with an hourglass symbol. It began to glow a bright blue, highlighting the mist around the device.
"A watch? What's a watch doing in outer space?"
With no one else around, with no other witnesses, Kota decided to reach into the chamber to collect the mysterious item. Maybe if he showed it to the others, they could find out what-
It leapt towards him, Kota yelling as he jumped back from the possessed watch that seemed alive. It snapped around his wrist, clicking into place and beeping as Kota tried to shake it off, rip it off, wash it off!
"Ahh! Get off me! Get off, get off!"
Even as he rushed out of the crater, panicked at the sudden event that had bound itself to his life, he could never have imagined how his wish was answered that night, in ten different ways.
Omnitrix Features:
Ejection Failsafe: In multiple instances, when his alien form is being destroyed Ben is separated from his alien form as the body dies. Mostly seen in Ultimate Alien. Episode that I based this function that used Chromastone, is from Ultimate Alien: Enemy of My Frenemy.
Alien DNA synthesizer: Nanomech was an alien created by the omnitrix after it was exposed to alien nanochips. While Nanomech has resemblance to them and is composed of similar components, he is an original alien that was created by the omnitrix. Most likely due to the omnitrix being unable to fully scan the chips as a viable transformation, and used what information it had to make one. As explained in my story, the omnitrix in Izuku's possession has been exposed to Verdona, Gwen, Nolan, and Itsuka. Multiple Anodites/Adronites, half fully matured and the other half in human form, giving the omnitrix plenty of data to create its own version of the race.
Lots of consequences to follow these events. Japan, soon after having a scare from P'andor have just experienced widespread destruction. The Hero Public Safety Commision leaders, and management have been erased. Detnerat, the leading provider for a quirked community are no more alongside their influence over the support item industry. UA has lost its medical miracle, which allowed their students to push themselves farther than they could before.
All Might and company have been made aware of Izuku's secret and vice versa. How will they handle the news on top of the disasters that they just experienced?
Finally, what will Izuku and his friends do when they're not saving the world?
I will be transitioning into some plot setup, and slice of life for the next couple of chapters. It's summer! Any scenes you guys want to see? I want to hear all your ideas, because even if I don't decide to use them it gives me ideas on what scenes I can do! I've gotten people asking about spliced people getting used to their new life, but give me specifics because other than what I stated their lives are pretty much the same.
Blubies will be getting their own chapter.
For now, we start setting up for I-island and many more events to come.

Reishin Amara: Nope, just a plane. And did a 9/11 with her.
Guest: I'd have to say Starset is my favorite band as well.
Yep, that was Clancy.
I like the theories, we will be getting a clear answer in story.
Mashot Tito: The cliffside home, while holding lots of tech, looks more like a beach house than anything. I didn't even think of Tony Stark until you said it. As for slice of life, I'm going to make sure we get a few chapters of that.
Whywouldidothat2230: Izuku doesn't have a nanomech transformation, but the omnitrix did a similar thing making his own Anodite form like what it did with Nanomech.
Thunder Dragon: I already featured Izuku's transformation into the alien Dragon. As stated before, I never intended to write more than two paragraphs worth with that. I understand you like dragons, a lot, so maybe I'll throw in another short scene. Not a whole arc.
david arturo farfan soto 1998: You know, I think a lot of people forget how Verdona was so close to destroying Gwen's body. Yeah, she didn't kill everyone else around her to detach Gwen from humanity, but who knows how desperate she would have gotten if her race was dying or nearly extinct.
No Name steak: This man was NOT the most dangerous opponent Izuku will face. I've already hinted about a much worse alternative.
Omnitrickery: The way quirks are also souls is a unique concept, and I have decided to let Itsuka keep One for All but be unable to pass it on to anyone else.
Saladinus: I'm aware this story has certainly taken a turn, but I do believe the tags are still accurate.
