Right after leaving Dunkin, Bitsy and the rest of the group decided to head back to the Brandenham Hotel and go over the Central Park plan some more. By now, they seemed to have worked most of it out: setting off fireworks and explosives that would trigger what looked like controlled burns in some parts of the park, "disappear" some people through some tried-and-true yakuza methods, and then working out a deal that would let Bitsy redevelop the land on the cheap rather than the fortune she'd have to spend otherwise. Now the question was how they were supposed to set off these fireworks and explosives without being conspicuous about it. They could've have Butters make a campaign stop at the park, but they figured they'd wait until election month in November when it was all but certain that he would win.

So they decided to do a practice run by setting up a concert of sorts. This would involve a makeshift stage near one of the entrances, which would lure as many people as possible into the park for the "concert." But who could they possibly get as a Trojan horse for this plan?

Enter Celine Autumn, better known as Cayenne. Cayenne had managed to achieve some popularity over the years outside of her native Singapore, including in the United States. In fact, Kayla had cited Cayenne as one of her favorite musical artists of all time. So naturally, Bitsy decided to use Kayla as a proxy for contacting Cayenne and asking her to perform at Central Park for some musical event.

"Oh, wow, really?" Cayenne asked, flattered to have been given this opportunity. "That's awesome! Oh man, I can't wait to perform for Central Park!"

"Oh yeah," Kayla replied. "Trust me, this is the opportunity of a lifetime. I guarantee that you'll become even more famous than you are now."

"Wow, thank you so much. Also, tell your mom I said hi. I just want to show my gratitude to her, that's all."

"Alright, I will. Bye bye, Cayenne. I'll meet with you in Central Park soon."

"Bye."

With that, Kayla hung up.

"Oh my God, I can't believe we actually managed to rope Cayenne into performing in New York," Kayla said. "It's too bad we're using her for land development."

Bitsy scoffed. "You'd been part of my army of lawyers for years before I adopted you. Shouldn't you be used to these kind of plans by now?"

"Well, yes, but... never mind. So now that Cayenne is in our clutches, what next?"

"We've already established that she'll be a Trojan horse for our cluster of fireworks and explosives. Those will be snuck in for Cayenne's concert and then set off like they're part of a performance."

"Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up."

"Let's not waste any more time. If I never have to look at Central Park again, it'll be all too soon."

The moment she even set foot in Central Park, Cayenne made a beeline for Owen Tillerman and his family. Molly and Cole weren't in college right now on account of being on summer break, so they had come back to their childhood castle home and make up for lost time with their parents.

"I'm so glad you could accommodate me on such short notice, Mr. Tillerman," Cayenne said. "I mean, it's not every day that a singer gets to stay over at someone's home, right?"

Owen chuckled. "Believe me, my family and I know that from experience. About seven years ago, we actually had Money Candy stop by here before they had to perform at their concert."

"Wow, you guys must've been so starstruck."

"No kidding. It helped that we were already huge fans of theirs."

"Really? That's so awesome. Aw man, now I really can't wait to perform tonight. I'm gonna make you guys so proud, I swear."

"We'll be sure to. Now why don't you go get ready for your performance? We'll all be here cheering you on."

Cayenne gave with a thumbs-up. "Sure thing, Mr. Tillerman."

And so until just a couple hours before she was scheduled to perform, Cayenne hung out at the Tillerman home and spent most of her time getting ready for her Central Park performance. She couldn't help but feel gratitude that Kayla Everett, her self-proclaimed biggest fan, would seek her out to do a performance right in Central Park. Cayenne could almost feel her heart pounding in her chest, she was so excited. Eventually, she'd completely gotten ready for her performance and left for the stage, but not before having one last conversation with Owen. She managed to make her way onto the nearby stage and grabbed the microphone without a moment's hesitation. She could see the people in the audience clapping for her.

"Good evening, everyone," Cayenne began to speak. "I'm so honored to be playing right here in Central Park for all of you in the audience."

The crowd went wild.

"I know, I know," Cayenne continued. "The feeling's mutual. Now I've been doing this for a while, almost a decade in fact. Actually, I've been around longer than that. You know, I've been part of this band called Sobs since 2017. I don't know if you've heard of it before, but it's one of the greatest things that could happen to me. Anyway, I want to thank each and every one of you for sticking around and listening to my songs. I'm still performing and making music to this day because of you. With that out of the way, it's time to play the first song of the night. It's time to play... Melodic Love."

The crowd went wild again, and Cayenne began to sing.

In the twilight's gentle glow, our hearts collide,
A love that blossomed from the depths, we can't hide.
Like a melody whispered by the winds so soft,
Our souls entwined, in a dance aloft.

In the background, Nathan and Mimsy were planting the explosives and fireworks that Classi and Masa had smuggled in onto the ground. Bitsy was counting on him to set these explosives on the practice run off without many problems.

Oh, this love, it's like a symphony,
Played by the strings of destiny.
With every breath, our spirits soar,
In this love ballad, forevermore.

"Now Mimsy," Nathan began to speak. "As soon as Cayenne reaches the bridge, I want you to set off the fireworks, got it?"

"Sure thing, boss," Mimsy replied. "Oh boy, oh boy, I can't wait to set them off!"

"Not yet, Mimsy." Suddenly, Nathan lifted himself off the ground. "Oh, hold on. I need to use the bathroom. I'll be back."

With that, Nathan left to use the men's room.

Your eyes, the windows to a world unknown,
They captivate me, my heart you've surely sewn.
Your touch, a gentle caress, sets my soul ablaze,
Lost in your embrace, I'm lost in a daze.

Oh, this love, it's like a symphony,
Played by the strings of destiny.
With every breath, our spirits soar,
In this love ballad, forevermore.

Through stormy nights and endless skies,
We'll face the world, hand in hand, never say goodbye.
Our love, a flame that burns eternally,
In this love ballad, you're the melody.

Mimsy perked up. That was the bridge! That was the bridge of the song! That was the cue Nathan set up to light up the fireworks. So Mimsy pulled out some matches, lit them, and then lit the fuse to one of the rockets. The rocket flew up into the sky, and suddenly a brilliant display of colors lit up the night. The crowd cheered as they witnessed the beautiful sight.

As time goes by, our love will only grow,
Through highs and lows, we'll conquer, we'll show.
With every word whispered, every vow we make,
Our love story, destined never to break.

Mimsy lit up a few more rockets to much of the same effect. Those colors in the sky... they were almost mesmerizing. To his amazement, Cayenne hadn't even seemed to notice the fireworks display happening behind her. Nathan returned from the bathroom just in time to see the crowd's reaction to the fireworks. He was confused at first until he realized that he'd forgotten to elaborate more on what they were supposed to do with those fireworks. As he made his way back to where Mimsy was, he noticed Cayenne still performing on stage, seemingly unaware of the spectacle happening behind her.

Oh, this love, it's like a symphony,
Played by the strings of destiny.
With every breath, our spirits soar,
In this love ballad, forevermore.

"Dammit, Mimsy!" Nathan yelled at him. "I told you not to set those fireworks off yet!"

"You said to set them off when she got to the bridge, boss," Mimsy replied.

Nathan pinched the skin on the bridge of his nose. "Well, we screwed up with the fireworks so far. Let's hope we have better luck with the C-4 plastic explosives, huh?"

"You said it, boss! Oh boy, oh boy!"

So let the world sing our love's refrain,
Together we'll dance, through joy and pain.
In this love ballad, our hearts will play,
Forever entwined, till the end of days.

As soon as the song was over, the crowd erupted with praise and admiration. One can tell from the gleam in Cayenne's eyes that she was relishing in all this laudation and admiration. Mimsy and Nathan quickly rushed to clean up the remnants of the fireworks while Cayenne took a bow, basking in the applause. Cayenne started preparing for her next song as Mimsy and Nathan discreetly made their way behind the stage. They knew they had to salvage what was left of their plan.

"Alright, pepperlings!" Cayenne yelled out. "This song goes out to all you who've been with me for so long. One, two... one, two, three, four!"

Different music began to play, and Cayenne started to sing again. As the atmosphere shifted, a melodic symphony filled the air, enveloping everyone in its enchanting embrace. The ethereal notes danced and twirled around Cayenne, beckoning her to join in their harmonious chorus once more.

One of these days
I'm driving away
All the dates I've been on
Got me bored out my head
They could never
Think of something better

With each word that escaped her lips, her voice resonated with an unparalleled passion and emotion, captivating the hearts of all who listened. Nathan and Mimsy were caught up in it briefly, but managed to break out of it just as quickly. Now was their chance! Nathan and Mimsy got to work setting up the C-4 explosives and some napalm in the trees. Cayenne continued singing, unaware of the preparations underway.

I don't really need no limousine
Got a bottle chardonnay cus' you know we keep it clean
They could never
Treat me any better

This time, Nathan had taken great pains to explain the specifics to Mimsy. He knew that Mimsy had a tendency to take things literally, too literally in fact, and so made absolutely sure that he understood what they were supposed to do here. Mimsy was a little worried, but Nathan assured him that everything would be alright. They had to make sure the explosives were set up correctly and in the right places. Once they finished, they quickly hid behind some trees as Cayenne continued singing her song.

Always knew I loved you first
But you never had the time
To call me when I'm feeling hurt

Got up too fast now I'm dizzy
Spinning crying on the curb
It doesn't get better
So I tore up all your favourite shirts
Now you got me chewing up on my own words

"Alright, Mimsy, time to light up the napalm!" Nathan announced.

"Okay, boss!" Mimsy replied.

We go to places we thought would save us ooh ooh
We go to places so high till it feels real ooh ooh

Mimsy lit up the napalm, and the trees began to burn. The flames spread quickly, and Nathan and Mimsy ran back behind the stage as Cayenne continued singing her song.

One of these days
I'm driving away
All the dates I've been on
Got me bored out my head
They could never
Think of something better

She was so fixated on her singing that, somewhere along the way, she didn't even notice that something strange was starting to occur. Then, as if in the blink of an eye, the C-4 exploded. Suddenly, Cayenne stopped singing and looked around in shock. The trees around her were on fire! As the flames grew higher and the chaos ensued, Nathan and Mimsy watched from their hiding spot.

"Well, Mimsy, it seems things are going better than I thought," Nathan said. "I'm sure Bitsy will be impressed when we tell her later."

"Gee, I don't know, boss," Mimsy replied. "Is this really worth it? Setting Central Park on fire and possibly killing people in the process?"

Nathan smacked Mimsy with a right hook and then shook his fist. "Shut up, Mimsssyyy!" Then he calmly followed that with, "Yes, Mimsy. Yes it is."
