Master Control

Chapter 56

*CRASH*

"HEY!"

*SHATTER*

"MOOOWW"

"STOP THAT!"

*CLANG*

"NOT THE BABIES!"

After hours of helping in disaster relief and rebuilding efforts, the recently alien enhanced Excavation Hero: Power Loader met a disappointing sight.

He had hopes with Hatsume's new 'pet' that the girl would finally be manageable to be left unsupervised for brief periods of time. It was working well, until today.

Because in the rafters of the support studio there was a little blue demon terrorizing the workspace while chasing after the cat. It would maneuver well to avoid the grasp of the child, but end up giving things that were just on the edge of collapse that extra nudge to teeter on the brink of destruction. Then the fluttering menace would come over and give it a final blow that sentenced whatever creation it touches to execution.

The worst part was it seemed to have so much fun doing it.

"Power Loader!" Hatsume was on the edge of tears as she fell to her knees before him. "Please get it out of here!"

"I got it!" Another voice came to the rescue, Momo Yaoyorozu, a student who has been in the support studio helping to create various components to helping with the UA shelter efforts aimed her recently made capture weapon. It let out a puff of smoke towards the blue creature, a net spiraling around it to bring an end to its chaos.

But, once it was still enough for them to get a good look at, they immediately knew what it could do.

Rumi easily phased through it, catching the technomorphic animal off guard and pulling at the tail until the creature was stretching several feet forward to try and escape. She laughed as she began to fly upwards, stretching its body like taffy as its front paws clung to the floor.

"Power Loader sir." Momo seemed hesitant to voice her idea. "Supposedly, if Gang Orca was able to defeat Frozen Mothman at one point, we could implement some type of sonic weaponry…but-"

"Yeah." The hero/teacher/Hatsume's unofficial caretaker folded his arms as he questioned the ethical stance on this. "It's a kid, so we don't wanna deal with this like a villain situation."

"She's worse than a villain!" Hatsume latched onto the front paws of her close friend, her heels sliding along the floor as Rumi above was taking them for a joyride around the workshop. "She's a damn monster! Oh when I get my hands on you I'll-"

*SLAP*

Rumi had let go, causing the cat to slingshot right into Hatsume's face and cover her in her own pet. She immediately went to get it off to be able to breathe, but apparently it too was sharing Hatsume's rising resentment towards the blue evil. The techno cat merged with her goggles, her various tools along her person, and even absorbed the oils and greases left from various machines that spilled on her.

Until a sleek suit with the best versions of Hatsume's inventions armored the young inventor, causing her to grin in anticipation.

"Hatsume! Stand down!" Power Loader ordered.

"But my babies!" Hatsume pointed with a massive canon erupting from her forearm towards Rumi. "They're literally being eaten alive!"

"Mow mow mow!" Her pet seemed to agree.

"I think their life is debatable." Momo had to point out, given most of the items that Rumi had sunk her teeth into were never finished inventions and none of them would be considered 'alive.'

Rumi though, was having the time of her life. First there was a kitty to play with, then it brought her to a room full of tasty metals, and now she discovered they could also be great toys!

This was the best day ever!

"This is the worst day ever!" Hatsume whined, because she managed to get the trust of her lovely baby making friend to be one with her. BUT before she could even see what it was like to have fully optimized technology at her literal fingertips she was being told to NOT do what she dreamed of having?! "I'm telling your Dad about how naughty you're being!"

"Papi?" Rumi dropped the buzzing screwdriver from her mouth, actually listening to them for once.

They were gonna tell Dad on her? But she was just having fun! She was gonna find Mom right after and get her a leg! That was a good thing! "No!"

She layed on her belly on top of the massive steel 3d printer, slamming her fists along it as she began to pout. "No no no no!"

But to Hatsume, she saw she had a new weapon. "That's right! I'm going to tell him how bad you've been!"

"Nononono!" That only made Rumi's tantrum even worse, the girl kicking in the air as she kept rolling around in a fit.

"Hatsume?" Momo turned to the girl, who with words managed to pin the child to one spot. "You know BigChill?"

"Who?"

Power Loader was all too well aware of Hatsume's lack of memory when it came to names, so he intervened to get answers he could translate. "You know that baby's maker?"

"You mean you don't? We were at his house and everything! Wait, maybe that was supposed to be a secret?"

Oh boy.

"Don't tell me, you met the father on an alien spaceship and they erased my mind?" The man folded his arms, ready for another one of the recent rants Hatsume would go on. Hopefully, this was a misunderstanding.

"Don't be jealous because you weren't there to see how right I was!"

His hopes were shattered.

"Excuse us." The ever calmed and calculating voice of Principal Nezu rang out, joined by Mr. Bubbles and Eraser Head right behind him. "But perhaps we can be of assistance?"

"Principal Nezu." Momo was quick to step to the side, giving the rodent her full attention.

While Power Loader was confident in his Nezu's intelligence, he was still skeptical about the man who had been appearing at UA more frequently without explanation and somehow didn't seem to make Eraserhead call out on the suspicious person. "Do you have something to capture a kid who can phase through solid matter without hurting it?"

"No, but we know someone who can assist." Nezu began to scroll through his contacts. The first choice in normal circumstances would be Izuku Midoriya, but he's on mandated leave. So, the next option would go to his mother. Yet, Nezu was fairly certain that Naomasa had been carrying something extra in his pocket and after a traumatic event and having been picked up by Inko today he wouldn't want to interrupt. Then there was Himiko, who despite being the oldest and a student at his school was debatable on her maturity to handle this.

That left Eri Midoriya, a frequent caretaker for the children when the rest of her family was gone for school or work.

Before he could hit call though, Agent Bubbles decided to share his own wisdom.

"I know it's not my official job anymore, and their family has gone through more than enough, but perhaps we should be looking at other options for the children."

Eraserhead was very fast to shut that idea down. "Ignoring the fact that we have been encouraging a more balanced lifestyle and pulling him away from his family, do you really think you could find a better guardian for those kids let alone keep them away from their father?"

"Fair enough." Never let it be said Agent Bubbles was unreasonable.

"Hold on." Power Loader had to step in after hearing what he did. "Are you telling me there's more of them? AND you know who their father is?!"

"That's what I've been saying!" Hatsume came forward, her kitten unmorphing and eyeing Eraserhead curiously. The mummified man glanced down at it, extending a loose wrapping from his hand to let the mechanical cat paw away at it like a toy.

Nezu wasn't too surprised that Hatsume was able to piece together the short bridge between what she knew and what was before her. After all, she had seen Izuku transform and assist with aliens. They were hesitant to bring her into the formal secret, but given how they've recognized the necessity for a organization to handle these types of matters she could be made into an asset. Power Loader as well. "Why don't you two accompany us as we bring the child back home. Ms. Yaoyorozu, I'll trust you can handle things here and keep questions to a minimum?"

"If that's what is required of me." Was her obedient reply.

"Excellent, now. Who else noticed that it has been quiet for the past five minutes?"

All of them immediately looked back to where they last saw Rumi, but behold she was not there.

"SHE'S LOOSE!" Hatsume scrambled to assemble even more gadgets and gizmos on herself, hoping to coax the cat to perform an even larger upgrade. "Please kitty kitty? Won't you be my baby battle suit?"

Eraserhead, well acquainted with Nezu's habits, could tell the Principal didn't seem too concerned with that fact. "You know where she is?"

"I know who has her." Nezu pulled out the small smart device that was the size of a tablet for him, showing a very short security footage loop of where Rumi was just at. One second, she was there, and then a very short yellow static came over the screen surrounding the child before disappearing. Upon a brief scrubbing of the footage and zooming in on one particular frame, a certain girl with a glowing horn was picking up Rumi into her arms.

One of the number one things that Bakugo has managed to learn, is that no matter how strong you are, how smart you are, the world is a very unpredictable place.

He was taught he was the best upcoming hero, then suddenly he was told his actions were turning him into the worst villain imaginable.

All Might, the undefeated hero that was the strongest, was suddenly overpowered by a threat that could single handedly destroy the country and possibly the world.

Izuku Midoriya, the quirkless kid who was so timid and frightened of everything, suddenly could have any power he wanted and fought the strongest villains, and won.

Now, he was having a stroll with a ghost as they were bringing a freaky moth kid back to its father that wasn't even the same species.

"Nothing makes sense anymore." Bakugo grumbled as he shoved his hands into his pockets, keeping his agitated glare focused on the sidewalk instead of others. Just one of the many habits he was 'taught' to not try and start any fights.

"I suppose it can seem really confusing to a lot of people." Reiko muttered beside him, Shinji nestled into her arms as she focused on keeping him invisible to the world. Turning invisible herself was easy, turning part of herself invisible was a little tricky at first, turning other things invisible that she was touching while keeping herself visible was harder, and now using a slight telekinetic hold on a child resting against her while also keeping him invisible? Took a lot of her focus.

"In half a mile, turn right." Her phone voiced, doing the navigation for her since most of the time she would just fly somewhere. But Bakugo insisted on coming along, and since she had seen first hand how Izuku reacted to him and seemed to see something in him she would try and find the same thing.

"You calling me stupid?" Bakugo questioned, half defensive half genuinely curious. It was hard to get a read on her when it came to anything but Izuku.

"Uninformed, but not as much as everyone else." Reiko responded honestly and blankly, knowing all that Bakugo knew, and Todoroki. After all, she was there that night.

Yet the blond, as explosive as he was, was still easily in the top of his class which had the highest standards for all first years in Japan. "You know who his Dad is."

Wasn't a question, it was a basic observation.

"Yes." Reiko responded, knowing Bakugo had all the pieces himself to make the connection.

"You know what he can turn into."

"Yes."

"You know where he lives."

"Yes."

"And you're only saying yes because you stalked him that night at the beach."

"Which one?" Reiko's single eye moved across her face to the side of her head to get a better look at him, only disturbing Bakugo as he put another foot of space between himself and the girl.

Freaky dead bitch.

"The one I was at you serial stalker."

"I was there." She didn't bother denying it.

Bakugo huffed, wondering if she was always this clingy or if it was part of whatever the watch did to people. It would make sense given how anyone he used it on seemed to gravitate even further to him, but none more than the pale girl who hid in the shadows.

That not so secret club that the sparking idiot kept almost blabbing about in the middle of class, obviously they were more aware of what was going on than a lot of the others. Did they know as much as him, or more? If it was the same, then how come he hasn't been dragged into their edgy circus?

Is it because you had to be altered by the watch? Or did they just not want him involved?

Not that he would want to be a part of it, or blame them for excluding him for a club centered around a kid who got lucky and ended up with the world's most powerful PQE if that's even what it was.

"Do you know what exactly that broken watch is?" Bakugo decided to ask, since at least she could give straight forward answers.

Reiko this time, remained silent as she debated what Izuku might want her to reply with. Outright deny it? But he openly used the omnitrix around him so would it be ok?

Her silence ended up answering his question, Bakugo now aware there was more to this than even he knew.

Fuck he wished he could get back the hours he listened to spicy mint's bullshit conspiracies about it. All this time he could have just asked and even no answer was a better answer than what two face would come up with.

"I'll ask." Reiko suddenly declared as she took another turn as he followed.

"Ask what?" Bakugo asked a little too agitated as always.

"How much we can tell you." Reiko briefly let Shinji's sleeping body be visible as she nudged her head towards the boy. "If you know about the kids, then there's-"

He stopped, Bakugo pausing as he never gave it much thought. Of course it was his kid, but now his brain had tripped at the top of the spiral staircase and was crashing down each step as it fell deeper into the rabbit hole.

"There's more than one?" He could only utter in a mix of disgust and horror.

He had kids, in highschool. And that little brat seemed at least two years old minimum! But now there's more than one of them?! Who would ever sleep with either a big icy bug multiple times?! Or worse, with Izuku multiple times AND decide to keep having his kids?!

HOW YOUNG WAS HE WHEN HE HAD HIS FIRST?! WHAT KIND OF SICK FREAK WOULD DO THAT TO A KID?!

A poke to his noggin brought him out of the horror show in his mind, Bakugo acting on instinct and slapping it away. Reiko wasn't bothered by it, clearly seeing how Bakugo was in the middle of some mental episode. Now that he was back though, he could listen.

"We're almost there." Reiko pointed over to the road that seemed to twist around a hill with the distant waves crashing against the shores. There were hardly any homes around, and no one in sight at the moment. Enough for Reiko to lower her abilities to hold a tangible Shinji in her arms. "Save your answers for when we-"

"THERE YOU ARE!"

Eri scared the shit out of Bakugo, the boy jumping back as she appeared out of nowhere right in front of him.

Reiko immediately let Shinji be fully visible to Eri, who was covered in sweat and taking the child back with great care.

"Do you know how hard it is to track down the timelines of you guys?" Eri whispers were kept to a bare minimum of alarming panic, quickly placing the white metal square on his back and clicking it in place with a small harness wrapping around his torso. "You have way too many possible alternatives, and I had to keep searching everyone of them until I found one that was fixed to the present AND cover my tracks!"

Shinji stirred and whimpered in her arms, Eri immediately reeling in her emotions enough to try and not wake him up. Now that she had gotten two out of five kids, she was a little more relaxed to acknowledge who brought one of them home. "Reiko, thanks for your help."

She nodded, then the two glanced over to Bakugo.

He had never met Eri, but he had overheard enough conversations to guess this was her. Horn, check. Dyed green hair, check. Younger sister? Probably. Though given how her roots were white she was probably adopted like that video game obsessed psychopath that shriveled dick is obsessed with.

The girl stared at him, and he kept a calm gaze back. He wouldn't be surprised if she spat towards him, or brought up stuff to make him feel guilty about how she treated Izuku once upon a time.

"Thank you for helping."

Those were the last words he expected, Bakugo watching as Eri disappeared in a flash of her horn with Shinji, leaving him with a ghost.

Thank you…..when was the last time he heard those words spoken with sincerity? It was either sarcastic, or just someone being polite out of habit.

No one looked right at him, and said it before.

Maybe he was finally doing something right.

He could feel Reiko staring at him, ruining the moment and throwing him off.

"What?" He demanded to make it stop.

"I've never seen you smile so….gently."

"...Shut it."

Keigo and Enji, two brothers who never seemed to keep themselves away from a tussle. They were always in the center of one, or causing one, but this was the first time they just sat back and enjoyed watching one.

There was a lot less crying and a lot more strange words that only Aunty Himi said.

Usually Dad would stop it, or turn into something cool and make the fighting end.

Would he show up to stop the rabbit lady from ripping off that guy's head with her thighs?

"AHHHHH!"

Another costumed hero was thrown over them, the two boys watching as he fell into the shelf of bottles and caused many of them to break.

"CUEBALL!" Thin Man, fully stretched out to be a freakishly skinny man who stood at almost thirty feet tall through the demolished ceiling as he tried to keep Mt Lady at bay. His arms didn't get thicker, his frame didn't get wider. He only got longer. "I NEED YOU OVER HERE!"

*WHACK*

She cracked her cue across a fish girl's face, summoning another one from a hole in her arm to block the blow of a different hero. "I'M A LITTLE BUSY AT THE MOMENT!"

*CRASH*

Seeing a man with twisted teeth in his mouth extend up to his face like horns and ram into another hero, snapped Keigo to remember why they were here.

"Enji!" He snapped towards his brother. "The race!"

Now both brothers were suddenly panicking, realizing that they got too distracted and wasted so much time.

"Come on!" Enji shouted in a high trill as he sped off with Keigo right on his tail. They flew right through one of the few remaining walls and back out into the street.

*CRASH*

"Stop right there you two!" A Primal man whose hair resembled a lion, wearing a mask of fangs and clawed gloves followed them into the street. "Until we figure this out, you've got to stay here and-"

*VROOOM* A roaring engine came bursting out of the diner, Cueball launching into the road on the harley that everyone thought was for display only. "Time to play kids!"

"Cueball!" The hero jumped to get in her way. "You've got a lot of explaining to do about-"

"How about later?" She grabbed her eight ball styled helmet and adjusted the sleeves of her biker jacket. "I sort of have to keep some kids safe."

"Play!" Keigo immediately wanted to participate, but was smacked by Enji.

"We have to find Mom!"

"Oh, right."

The two started to flutter away, Cueball immediately giving chase in hopes they didn't go anywhere too populated. Yet there was another that joined in on the pursuit on foot, the lion like man running after them.

"You're scaring them off!" Cueball jumped up to get a better stance, driving the motorcycle with just her feet.

"They started flying away when you came out!" The other hero argued as he began to gain on her bike.

Just a little closer….NOW!

Cueball sent out a condensed ball of chalked from her palm and struck it towards him hard. It exploded into a cloud of white at his feet, the hero jumping through with his eyes squinted and holding his breath for minimal damage to his senses. Not a scratch on him, but he missed the other ball that was rolling just under him. As soon as his foot touched it, he slipped and fell hard to the ground.

Hopping back down on her seat, Cueball did her best to keep up with the blubies with a mighty gas guzzling roar.

"What are you two after?!" Cueball shouted after them.

"Momma!" Keigo responded, happy to engage until his antennas were yanked by Enji.

"Your Mom?!" She thought Izuku's alien was asexual?! And if it wasn't, then wouldn't he be the mom or was this some kind of seahorse rules?!

Time to bluff.

"I'll get you to your Mom!" Cueball started to bargain. "But we have to go home first!"

"Did you hear that?!" Keigo voiced to his brother. "She can bring us to Mom! We can win!"

"Yeah right, I can find her faster!"

"Come on you little blueberries!" The woman was yelling above the wind and the engine of her prized bike. "Please just-SHITE!"

A barrage of darts began to pet away at her bike, the rubber of her tire exploding into shreds and flipping on itself. Cueball? Was currently in the air trying to roll herself over to land on her feet. She created six more balls, and with a small mechanism popping out from her boots they clicked into place for improvised roller skates.

Cueball swerved on her skates to avoid the sudden wave of darts that impaled the road in front of her, the woman screeching the wheels on her heels to force herself to a halt. With a ferocious glare, she looked up to see the masked man standing in a flowing cloak along a rooftop.

"Dart." She scowled as she summoned a handful of chalk. When did you get out of prison?"

He merely chuckled to himself, as he struck a flamboyant pose, the inside of his cloak revealing a checkered pattern resembling a dart board. "Silly humans, you could never contain my will that was scorched by the flames of society!"

She hated this edgy son of a bitch.

"You're a c rank villain with a d ranked personality!" Cueball screamed at him, summoning three balls to juggle in one hand with a thick oak cue ready for the whacking.

The words physically hurt him, the man clutching his chest as he broke character. "Come on Cueball! I try really hard to be a good nemesis for you!"

"Yeah?!" Cueball pulled out one of the small darts from her jacket. "You call yourself my nemesis but have shit aim! My whole thing is trick shots, but you just spray and pray!"

The man, highly offended over her insulting his quirk battle style (which was literally what Cueball described) began to twirl in place until his cloak opened wide behind himself to become a makeshift dartboard.

"BEHOLD! MY NEW SPECIAL MOVE! RAIN OF PAIN!"

A wall of darts shot out from his body, Cueball seeing there was nowhere for her to go. Created several more cues, she hid behind them and prayed his aim was so horrible it would somehow miss. She took pride in her accuracy, and what pissed her off about this guy was that he didn't have to aim if you could pick a direction and have every square inch pierced.

Just earlier, she managed to take out a hero in the top fifteen and kept up with several top ten contenders. Now her largest pain in the ass was a guy who couldn't even make it on an obscure internet thread.

*SHLCK*

The metal darts began to pelt against the frozen wooden cues, easily shielding Cueball from the assault. The woman glanced up, feeling no pinching pains along her body. New ones at least.

"WHAT IS THIS?!" Her 'nemesis' flourished his cloak. "Do you have a new sidekick? Perhaps BigChill?! Did, did I make it big enough for BigChill to come take me down?! That would be so sweet-AHHHH!"

Instead of a menacing unregistered hero that managed to capture a villain that nearly nuked Japan, his face was assaulted by a sudden creature that appeared out of nowhere and was latching on tight with a cold grip.

Cueball stood up, seeing Keigo proudly turn around from the frozen shield he created.

He trilled in excitement as he fluttered up to her, the woman debating if this was something to be proud of or angry about. "I just got my ass saved by a toddler."

Keigo flew up to her shoulders, jumping on them as he held onto her helmet to keep his balance. "Ass!"

"No no!" Cueball quickly corrected. "You can't say-"

"Ass!"

"Oh man, I'm so going to lose favorite teacher privileges."

"PLEASE!" Dart was on the ground, limbs frozen as he kept throwing darts with his one free arm towards an angry child that couldn't be touched. "I BEG YOU! DON'T EAT ME!"

*CHOMP*

"AAAAHHHHHHH!"

Cueball could listen to this for a while, but unfortunately she was a somewhat 'responsible' person.

"Come on." She began to make her way up to the other two, albeit slowly. "Let's get your brother and you back home to-"

"Momma!" Keigo bounced in place, Cueball nodding in agreement.

"Right, I'll see what I can do for you to see Mom."

She hoped that meant Izuku, or his mother. Unless there was some secret alien wife he's been hiding this whole time.

The halls were round, metallic, and cold with the many lights doing nothing to warm the area. The only sound that echoed through the emptiness was the repeated stomps of the oversized form of Gantu, whose head nearly touched the ceiling.

"Let me go!"

In his grasp, Gantu kept Kota's arm in his grasp as his walking was swaying the boy's small body back and forth as he struggled to get free. The man didn't bother to reply, to agitated in learning that this whole time he had been dealing with a child. But now that he had him, things would go remarkably smoother.

"Let go ugly!"

Albeit annoyingly.

Gantu marched his way towards the large set of doors, the heavily armored plates shifting upon his arrival to reveal a control room filled with drones and robots and the occasional four armed and red furred angry looking aliens with collars along their necks. They all looked identical to one another, Kota catching the eyes of one of them.

"Jabagooji." It bitterly spat towards Kota before returning to its work.

Yeah screw you too.

Gantu continued his way towards the center, where a large metallic chair even he would be small in sat in its center.

"I've brought you the omnitrix." He held Kota forward, the boy trying to bite through his thick hide.

Everything and everyone stopped, remaining silent for their master to respond. As the motor began to turn the chair around.

Even Kota felt something heavier fill through the air, something squeezing him tighter than the massive hand on his arm. Something that demanded respect sat in the chair, something menacing that had command over all sorts of dangerous beings and weapons, something that didn't have room for fear because it kept amplifying it and throwing it into the hearts of everything that witnessed it.

His mouth turned dry, Kota instinctively wanting to close his eyes just so he wouldn't have to see whatever was probably a thousand times worse than what he could imagine.

But he held strong, because nothing he saw could be worse than seeing his mother hurt over and over again. He would take it all, if it meant she was safe.

"What is that disgusting creature still attached to my omnitrix?" It was short, chubby, covered in white fur like an oversized gerbil in a red cape. The part that stuck out the most, was the accent.

"BAHAHAAHAHA!" Kota openly laughed at him, shaking in place as he pointed right at his ridiculous features.

"STOP LAUGHING AT ME!" The talking rodent only made Kota laugh even more. "Gantu! What is the meaning of this?!"

"He has the omnitrix, Dr. Hämsterviel." Gantu dropped the child, who immediately held his gut as he rolled around on the floor, still laughing at the 'menace'.

"So rip it off of him already! I want my omnitrix without a little flesh bean stuck to it!"

With a grunt of exhaustion over the constant demands, Gantu leaned down and picked up the child with one arm and pinched the omnitrix with the other. He began to pry it, the device stretching as Kota felt his arm being pulled almost out of his socket.

The omnitrix began to spark, arcs of turquoise flaring off the device until a violent blast sent Gantu thrown into the otherside of the room until his frame was left indented in the wall.

Kota fell on his rear, rubbing his head after the large backlash. Wait, he had both his arms free!

"You're gonna get it now you dusty chinchilla!" Kota slammed his hand on the dial, and nothing happened. "What?! But you're not red anymore!"

That's right, it wasn't red. It wasn't the vibrant electric blue either. It was yellow, spinning in place and unresponsive. "Ugh, stupid thing is busted."

"RESTRAIN IT!" Hämsterviel shouted as he pointed towards Kota.

Drones and dozens of red creatures descended on Kota, a metal clamp finding its way over Kota's wrist and preventing his access to the omnitrix.

"Good, now throw him in a cell so we can finally get off this filthy planet! The humidity is making my fur highly unmanageable."

Kota was dragged away by one of the fuzzy red servants, the boy crossing his arms as he glared at his captor.

After he was taken from the bridge, Gantu managed to free himself while only tearing out a portion of the wall. "Sir, don't you have a code or a command sequence to decouple the omnitrix?"

"I would, if it wasn't for Azmuth rewriting all of my work!" The white rodent kicked a robotic servant that was passing by.

That, didn't sound right to Gantu. "I thought Azmuth and Jumba were your interns while you created the omnitrix? How would an intern have access and in depth knowledge into the most powerful-"

"SILENCE! Prepare the ship for launch immediately!"

"Sir." One of the androids began to report. "Our stealth fields need at least another hour before we can avoid-"

"NOOOOW!"

Maybe mother was right, Gantu should take more time evaluating his career choices.

"Etchka duba." The creature threw Kota into the cell, chuckling at seeing the way the boy tumbled along the ground.

The boy growled at the rabid walking dog, and threw a palm towards it.

"Eh?" It quirked its head to the side, until a blast of water filled its mouth. "GABALBALABLBALBLABLA!"

The large door slammed shut, Kota's quirk splashing uselessly against the sealed door and only giving him a puddle to sit in.

"Great." He pushed himself onto his feet. "Just, ARGH!"

He kicked the bench, immediately regretting it as he hopped in place and held his bruised toes, and then promptly slipped in his own shallow pool of water.

"Ouch."

Well, the watch was bust, his quirk was useless right now, and there wasn't even anyone around to insult. Great, he was left alone with his thoughts. He hated thinking.

Because everytime he did, he remembered his parents before they were attacked by Muscular. They were happy, and then someone came and stole his father and crippled his mother. Days he would be taken to the hospital to visit her, weeks she would be home falling over and over as she tried to learn how to walk again with a brace.

His aunt constantly visiting, checking up on them and offering help when he didn't need it.

Scared because he almost lost her again, over and over he almost lost someone.

Were these guys going to take him away from her? Was he going to never see her again? Lost from her forever because of a stupid, stupid watch that apparently aliens wanted?!

He just wanted his mom, his dad, he just wanted his family.

*Trill?*

Kota shot up, sitting and staring at the source of the noise that caught him at his most vulnerable point.

A small blue head was poking through the door, a baby moth creature stepping through it and looking over Kota curiously.

*Sniff* Wiping his tears, Kota turned away from the newcomer and nestled his face into his knees. "What do you want?"

Tensei wasn't used to seeing someone act like this. His siblings yes but, never a human. He looked young, scared, and alone. Sometimes when he felt like that, he would really miss when his Dad was out, or when he smelled like their mom.

Speaking of which, he was still trying to search for her. Since he had a familiar scent on his wrist, maybe he knew where she was. "Momma."

The boy remained quiet, his normally harsh attitude softening as he looked back to a child, one that his own mother pleaded to bring back to their home, because she wanted nothing more than to see her own son.

"You have a mom too?" Kota, finding his own injuries less noticeable, pried himself back up. "I bet she misses you."

Tensei stepped closer, his antennas standing high as he reinvestigated Kota. He smelled some similar traits of his father on the other child, all coming from the unique device on his wrist.

Kota watched as the alien thing was moving its fuzzy appendages over around the brace covering his watch. "Yeah, I know. If I could get this thing off I might be able to-"

*CRUNCH*

It, ate it. Its teeth tore right through the restraint and freed the watch from underneath it.

A watch that currently had the turquoise glow!

"Yeahahaha! Back in the blue!" Kota clicked the button, rejoicing when seeing the dial pop up and display his transformations, or, aliens he guessed. He scrolled through the list, contemplating which one would be best.

Way too big, not really helpful here, maybe that one could melt some stuff. An eater? For a more one on one fight yeah but not so much a ship filled with bad guys. That one, freaks him out. Hold on, what's that?

There was a new silhouette, one that had some resemblance to his new friend but taller and with a slim muscular physique. It looked just like-

"Frozen Mothman."

That guy was an alien?

Taking another look at Tensei, he definitely didn't seem human. "You're an alien then."

Tensei seemed to perk up at the word, recognizing it as a frequent one mentioned in his home.

Hold on, if he can turn into that guy, then that means he can have all of those powers! If he could take on Endeavor, Mirko, Hawks, then he'd be unstoppable!

"Looks like I'll get to walk in your shoes." Kota mentioned to the boy, unsure if he really understood what he was saying. With a short slap on the dial, Kota was enveloped in a brilliant light.

His skin began drying up, his flesh dissolving, and his bones shifting as the life left his body.

Kota glanced down at his hands, seeing their pale and thin form that resembled a classic ghost, only real and much scarier.

"This ghostly freak?" His rasped voice came out. "Well, at least we can get out of here."

A slight rumbling through their cell alerted them, the two alien apparitions sensing something different.

"Come on." Kota began to turn partially invisible as he shifted through the door. "Let's get out of here."

Tensei fluttered right behind him, following through the strange rooms and doorways as they attempted to find a way out. This place was really big though, so big, that Tensei couldn't tell which way was home anymore.

A glimpse of light made him halt, latching onto Kota's hand and pointing towards it.

"A window." Kota immediately went for it, seeing the trees underneath becoming smaller the higher the ship rose. It would be so easy, just to phase through and get back to his family.

What was going to stop them from following though?

What was going to stop them from attacking again?

What was going to stop them from hurting his family?

He would stop them.

"Go." Kota pushed Tensei through the window, leaving the child to watch as Kota continued to ascend inside the ship.

Tensei wanted to fly back up after him, but now that he was out in the open he could identify the faint scent of those from home. Scattered, but all of them here. But up above was someone similar to his father, and he was alone up there.

What would Dad do?

Gantu would normally be at the bridge, managing the crew and making sure the mission was complete. Yet with Dr. Hämsterviel, he felt like just a big slab of meat thrown at whatever problem he had.

Entering the kitchen area, he could only grumble as even getting a snack was too much.

"Hey there blubber butt!" A much smaller being, yellow and sluggish who liked to go by the name of Reuben was currently using all of the supplies to make sandwiches. "You want a philly cheesesteak?"

"I want a balanced meal." Gantu retorted, hoping to scavenge for something to eat.

"How about a BLT?" Reuben grabbed one from the many stacks, holding it out to the massive alien.

It was practically a cracker to Gantu, unable to do anything to fill his stomach.

"I'd be better off trying to cook one of these clones running about." He gestured to a passing red alien, which had similar traits and size to Reuben except for an extra pair of arms and antennas.

"I bet they're too chewy." Reuben joked, moving back to grab an extra thick italian sub. "I'm gonna miss this planet though. They've got everything you can want here. Bacon, spinach, mayonnaise, mustards and swiss cheese, and don't forget the peanut butt-"

Something overcame Reuben, making him drop his sandwich as he stared off into space.

"What's the matter?" Gantu demanded in a joking tone. "Did someone replace your smooth peanut butter with extra chunky or-"

Reuben suddenly grew another pair of arms, his blackened eyes growing dark cracks around them and filling with purple pupils. He stared down at himself, flexing his hands and clenching his fists.

"Stronger than he seems." He muttered to himself, before turning over to Gantu.

The alien took a step back, disturbed by how the carefree and lazy runt had suddenly become….threatening. Maybe he shouldn't joke about the sandwiches.

"Call me if there's real food here." Gantu left, for better or for worse.

It became worse.

Reuben ripped out the massive fridge despite his small size and threw it at Gantu. Before he could even process what had happened the much smaller alien picked him up, and threw him across several other crew members.

Rolling onto his stomach and pushing himself up, he saw Reuben crawling with rapid pace across the ceiling and into the vents. He needed to report this immediately. "This is Gantu! Experiment six two five has gone rogue and is currently on a rampage! Deadlock all escape pods and the hangar door. I don't want our guest taking advantage of-"

The power cut out in the ship, leaving him in the ever consuming darkness.

Kota, possessing a deceptively powerful alien ripped everything apart that he could find. Wires, cables, metal boxes, all of them crushed in his grip.

Kicking open the next ventilation grate, Kota found himself in a large room filled with massive sparking pillars that channeled plenty of power. Towards the top, mist rolled of the metal components.

Those looked important.

"Alert, two minutes to hyperspace." A computer announced throughout the ship.

Kota quickly climbed up to them, discovering flexible pipes covered in frost pouring something into the mechanism.

"Chaba!" One of the red aliens shouted up towards Kota, the others pointing their guns at him.

Blaster fire littered around Kota, some of them pelting his host but not causing any pain to himself. Fine, not like he needed the body any longer.

Dumping the alien, Kota allowed the blaster fire to pass right through him as he watched the yellow mutt fall down between the pillars charging with large amounts of energy, screaming as it descended down farther through the brewing storm between the machines.

"Chump." Kota muttered as he grasped onto the pipes. He could feel the cold kept within, and with a heave it snapped apart. Freezing fluids dumped out onto the walkways below, turning the violent crew trying to kill him into sculptures of ice.

The more pipes he broke, the more coolant spilled out, and the hotter the machines grew.

"WARNING! HYPERDRIVE CRIT-"

Reaching through a panel, Kota ripped out a few wires, and luckily that shut out the voice.

Now that things were going bad, he wanted to go watch them squirm.

"What exactly is HAPPENING TO MY SHIP?!" Dr. Hämsterviel demanded as red lights kept flashing all around them.

One of the androids turned around to answer him. "Alerts have arrived from the hyperdrive-"

"IT WAS RHETORICAL!"

The doors to the bridge slid open as Gantu came rushing in and ready to report. "Sir, we've had a situation on-"

"I don't want to hear any of it!" The fiery gerbil shouted. "Can't you see I'm busy right now!"

"Sir, if I may-"

"You may not!" Their leader slumped into his chair, trying to calm himself down before a blaring alarm pierced the room. "Turn that off now!"

Gantu went over, his eyes widening as he saw what was displayed on the monitor. "The hyperdrive conduits are overheating! It's going into meltdown!"

"WHAT?! Why did no one say anything?!"

"Evacuate the ship!" Gantu ordered as life leaned towards death. "Prepare the escape pods and-"

"Escape pods are currently deadlocked." One android reported. "It would take twenty minutes to activate the release mechanisms."

Crap, well not all of the clones could live. "Then prepare my personal ship and-"

"Hangar doors do not have enough power to open." Another android immediately reported.

Thinking of alternatives, Gantu began issuing new orders. "Then get a team down there to manually undo the locks. We'll have to be inside my ship when the vacuum starts and-"

"Hangar doors are currently deadlocked."

This planet was a curse, fighting him at every corner to screw him over.

"How long will it take to release the doors?"

"Twenty minutes."

"Make it ten, and then-"

"Hyperdrive meltdown in one minute." A final android announced, Gantu giving into his rage and blasting its head off.

"Gantu." Hämsterviel's restrained voice caught his attention. "I guarantee, if you fail here you will not live to regret it."

At this rate none of them would live.

The next thing Kota was aware of was the watch beeping, and standing in the middle of a shaking hallway. He could have sworn he was doing something, but his memory was fuzzy, like whatever he did was in a dream.

*BOOM*

The ship falling apart around him, not a dream.

He began sprinting, unsure of what was happening or where to go but his body kept telling him to get out of there!

"There's gotta be some kind of escape pod, or crash suit, something!" Yelling aloud to himself only helped slightly, but did nothing to change reality. There! A sign! Maybe that could tell him where to go!

As soon as he got close enough to read it, he encountered a problem.

Kota doesn't understand alien writing.

"Dang it! It's not like they teach you this kind of stuff in school!"

*Bonk bonk*

Something was tapping nearby, Kota looking towards the source and seeing Tensei, waving at him from outside the ship along the window. Behind him was a sea of stars, and a planet below them.

"What are you doing here?!" Kota panicked as Tensei phased inside to greet him. "You were supposed to go find your Mom!"

Tensei's small blue hands took hold of his arm, the alien child trying to phase with Kota outside.

"No no! I would die if I went outside now. I can't breathe space stuff. Unless you happen to have a space suit on you."

Tensei started looking around, not seeing anything of the sort as Kota looked down towards the planet below. It would seem cool, being in space and all, if they weren't about to blow up.

"Come on, you need to go home." Kota tried to coax the child to leave, pushing him towards the window. "Find your Mom and Dad, be…happy with them for me."

Tensei only grabbed his arm in response, looking down at the red dial and glancing back up at him.

"I can't change into something right now, the watch is-"

*CLICK*

Tensei began to fiddle with the watch, rotating the dial back and forth just as he saw his Dad do it many times.

"Don't you get it? It won't work right now!" Kota tried to convince the kid to leave, but he seemed determined to get it operational again. "If it could, I would leave and-"

*BRINK*

The red suddenly flashed back to turquoise, Tensei chirping as he showed his success to the stunned Kota.

Well, it was alien technology. Guess even an alien kid can figure it out.

"You can survive out there right?" Kota pointed outside the window, Tensei phasing through the wall and fluttering out in space. "Ok watch, don't give me the slimy one, don't give me the eating one, give me that one so I don't die. Ok?"

Only one way to find out, and with a press of the dial Kota felt the power of the watch change him to the last strand of DNA, until he looked down and saw his blue humanoid moth self standing in place.

"YES!" Kota pushed himself against the wall, falling through it and rolling through space until he unfurled his wings to steady himself. How he could fly in space despite there being no wind? He wouldn't complain.

"We should hurry." Kota began to soar back to Earth, Tensei gliding right beside him. "I don't know how long that ship will-"

Shards of shrapnel launched past them, Kota looking back to seeing the ship in question had just exploded. Part of him expected some big boom, but he didn't hear it. Was that another space thing?

He hated to think that his teachers were right, he needed to pay more attention in class.

"Ok, ok." Eri paced back and forth, Cueball on the couch catching her breath but ready to get back up at a moments notice. The children they found were safe, and accounted for in the living room. All except one. "Where else could Tensei be?"

"We really should just call in Izuku." The exhausted heroine tried to reason. "I'm sure he could find him faster than-"

"No way!" The time traveler shut her down. "If he learns about this he'll never leave his kids unsupervised again! He'll stress himself out until his blood vessels pop and he's flopping around like a salmon!"

"One more hour." Cueball stated as she stretched in place, preparing herself to run around town all over again. Hopefully without running into another hero she gave a black eye. "We look for one more hour, and then call in Izuku."

Meanwhile, an entirely different conversation spoken in trills and chirps was happening in the room.

"I knew it!" Enji pointed towards Rumi. "I knew you couldn't find Mom!"

"You didn't find her either!" She shouted back with an accusatory finger. "I bet you ditched Keigo to go find some food!"

"No! I bet you ditched Shinji like always!"

"He went off on his own!"

Just next to them, Shinji was curled against the arm of the couch while they bickered, Keigo sitting above him kicking out his legs.

Keigo leaned down to look over his more, sensitive sibling. "So, who do you think won?"

Unfurling his wings from his face, Shinji peaked up at his brother. "What do you mean?

"The race. Did you win, or did we win?"

"None of us found Mom." Shinji yawned, ready to go to sleep again. "I just want her to get the leg."

"That's right!" Rumi jumped on the couch next to Shinji, making the boy bounce slightly into the air. "The leg! Tensei was supposed to be here with the leg!"

"Where is he?" Enji fluttered over, his eyes beginning to droop from a day full of adventure.

Speak of the child and he shall appear, through the ceiling. "Hi guys."

"Tensei!" They all noticed his lack of a leg on his person, the children swarming Tensei who had weird smells around him.

"Did you meet up with Papa?"

"I smell something burnt."

"I smell seafood."

"He kind of smells like space."

"TENSEI!" Eri came over, scooping him from the center of the pile and immediately placing one of the phase harnesses on his person. She squeezed him tightly, making the boy exhale some frost along her cheek. "Oh thank All Might you're back home safe!"

Now that all of the children were accounted for, Cueball let herself collapse, thinking about the financial hole she had now found herself in. "Yeah, good thing they're safe."

"And before Izuku got home too." Eri had to point out. "Hopefully he doesn't find out. If he does…..I don't want to think about it."

"Me neither." Cueball pulled out a rarely used flask from her jacket laying next to her, taking a well deserved swig from it. "Guuh, now I have to come up with an explanation good enough to keep Thin Man from quitting."

"Hey Tensei?" Rumi questioned their brother, all of them fighting to stay awake. "Can you make another leg for Mom?"

"Maybe later." The boy found a nice spot on one of the couch cushions to curl up into. "I just want to take a nap."

"What about the race?" Enji mumbled along the floor, not even able to raise his head to ask. "Who won?"

"We'll race tomorrow." Keigo decided on behalf of the siblings, all of them agreeing that this wasn't finished but they couldn't continue on as is. Not without a leg.

*SLAM*

"WE'RE BACK!" Mina let herself into the Midoriya home, Eijiro coming in right behind her. "We had a blast today! Eijiro made this big slip and slide park with his crystals and I used a low acidic solution to-"

"Shhh!" Eri harshly made the girl shut up.

While nothing bad seemed up with the house, Eijiro took a few steps further inside to see the very disheveled state Eri was in. Her hair was a mess, her clothes were dirty, and her horn was half the size it normally was! All around her, were passed out alien children, and a nearly passed out Cueball also among the blubies.

"What happened here?" He had to ask, because he couldn't figure out what would cause a pro hero and Eri so much exhaustion.

"Where to start." Cueball chuckled, still out of breath. "But, to sum it all up. Babysitting kids who can fly through walls is pretty hard."

In case you were wondering, Dr. Hämsterviel, Reuben and Gantu are dead. Izuku was not aware of any of this and no one would dare tell him what happened.

Kota showed us he not only got a new addition, but has his own troubles with one of his original ten to deal with.

I'm going to spend next chapter doing a little more building up to I-island, then we'll go into the next arc of the story. I've also decided to give the Izuku and Kota meeting its own arc, seeing how it would be a big event to happen anyways so I should just give them an adventure of their own to deal with.

Essentially, three arcs to the story left. I've gotten back into the pace of things so expect more frequent updates. Like, two chapters a week average.

Bearticguy7: That would be a fun arc, but I'm keeping a bigger adventure saved for later.

Chronosign: Azmuth seems to have a lot of assistants he doesn't mention until it's relevant. Like Albedo. So they both could have existed, but unless they show up in the plot he'll keep his exact number to himself.

Trux-Killer: I've mentioned it before, but I will not have Vilgax in this story.

Mashot Tito: Well of course I'm doing another chapter. I left pretty much every interaction on a cliffhanger.

I'm a little tuckered out putting Lilo and Stitch stuff into this story. It was fun for the bit, but now it seems to be diverting too much focus from the actual plot.

Thunder Dragon: There's a lot of dynamic that can happen between Izuku and Kota, which is why I'm going to give them their own arc to explore it more in depth.

Turtle fire: If she did get spliced (which I have no plans to do) then yeah I would do Goop.
